Don Ugo Luxury Rooms in Tropea

The location couldn’t have been better, it was very central to the town and the beaches. My holiday was off season and the bar/reception was closed but I had clear instructions on how to access my room, which was spotlessly clean and well equipped. There was plenty of choice for breakfast which is served in the adjacent bar. Stefano was super helpful, giving me details of places to visit and eat during my stay.

This hotel is steps for the beach and the old town. Stefano is a great resource for good food and attractions. He helped us get a spot at lido isola Bella- first row, right by the water. He recommended a great pizza spot for a quick late night meal. He gave us a bottle of Champagne for our last night. The breakfast included was simple and culturally delicious.

We had such a fantastic stay at Don Ugo whose location is just perfect ! We loved everything and would definitely go back there! The room had just been renovated and it is very modern, spacious, comfortable and spotless. We also enjoyed the breakfast which was included (especially the American breakfast!) More than in an impersonal hotel, Stefano (the owner) has been so friendly, helpful and thoughtful that he made our stay memorable. He gave us the best restaurants addresses, great tips for our visits and even helped us when we had a problem with our car! Clearly deserves 5 stars 😊

Excellent stay. Special shoutout to Stefano for being extremely helpful and responsive all the time. We really appreciate the hospitality. The room was spacious for our family of 4, clean and comfortable. The cafe was very nice for breakfast and the food was very good. The beach is a very short walk out of the room and down the stairs. There is a beautiful lido right at the bottom of the stairs, overall amazing experience wish we had more time in Tropea we will definitely be back and I highly recommend Don Ugo!

Excellent room in a good location. The owner, Stefano, was a great guy, very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Good communications via whatsapp and picked us up and dropped us off at the station,. When we were there they were doing refurbishment of the rooms above and we couldn't use our balcony due to scaffolding, not a major issue but Stefano did offer us a good discount as compensation. He was talking of refurbishing the current rooms although I thought they were fine. Only suggestion would be to fit a thermostatic shower mixer as it was quite tricky to get the temperature right. The location is good, just on the edge of the centre right by the steps down to the town beach. Stafano also had a tie up with the beach cafe and said that we could use a sunshade and lounger if we wanted (However we preferred the beach just past the marina). Breakfast is in the cafe below the rooms. A nice locals cafe which was great. Basic breakfast of coffee, orange juice and pastry although there were other options. Pastries could have been better though. Overall a great stay in Tropea

The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived to the last minute of departure. Stefano has personally picked us up from the parking lot brought everything up to our room and has gone above and beyond when we were ready to say goodbye. Stefano was an amazing part of the staff members and has tremendously enhanced our stay at Tropea. The staff has catered to every single one of our needs and went above and beyond our expectations. They have recommended every place to attend and have gotten us into great gatherings and have arranged beautiful days without us even trying to ask for anything but a beautiful sunset. From the service to the cleanliness and the beautiful smiles that everyone wore, this would be the only place I ever so quickly click with a finger to stay at beautiful Tropea. Don Ugo Luxury Rooms is a perfekt place to stay if you want a combination of a modern, nice, clean and comforable rom as well as the fantastic rustic italian environment. A little balcony with view to the centro storico and the sunset was fantastic! And the host, Stefano, was very helpfull and servicemined.

Wonderful location! Really close to the center of Tropea. Old, beautiful building, designed with a great idea, it was pretty cool! The room was well equipped, and every day we had a cleaning service. Our room was a balcony with a great view! Federica - the host - was so friendly and really, really helpful! Amazing experience! I highly recommend it!
