Dona Bia

Dona Bia is an institution - excellent seafood place by Comporta beach. Simple decor and menu, but very well executed with great fresh seafood. Highly recommend grilled fish like turbot or branzino, or one of their seafood rice stews. The garlic shrimp appetizer is one of the best I’ve ever had - amazing flavor. Highly recommend for dipping with bread. Atmosphere is simple traditional Portuguese. Service is quite good - very polite and responsive. Chocolate mousse was a great ending. Overall, one of our favorite places in Comporta… old school Portuguese seafood done classic style - an institution. Get a reservation!

One of our favourite meals in Comporta! We didn’t have a reservation but they graciously took us in. I had to quickly snap a photo of the filetes de garoupa com arroz de coentros to remind myself it was real lol. Wine selection was great. Overall, lovely service, outstanding food, and charming interiors.

There is a major communication issue here at the restaurant, it seems mismanaged. They bring you bread and cheese without asking and then charge you for it. Quality of steak was very bad we left it untouched. Fish was good. Disappointing experience. Everyone is so serious they don’t even smile.

Simply the best fish meal I’ve ever had! I ordered the tamboril with shrimp and initially thought I had made a mistake cause it looked like just a simple grilled fish. But to my surprise, the fish was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and light. The rice was unbelievably good. I can’t even explain it. You just have to go and try it for yourself. Also, the service was fast, and the staff was very polite and friendly.

This site, which goes unnoticed in the midst of all the restaurants in the area, is really exceptional. Traditional food of the region, with a wide range of fish and seafood, although the great star of its menu are its rice, the lobster is a real delight. We arrived without reservation that is not the most convenient, the price is in the average of the area. The staff is so kind, and the design of the space is do nice. In short, a must to visit place if you are near here

I have been going to Dona Bia restaurant for years (its the type of restaurant that is part of your growing up memories) and the food and service always was/is the best, I was always treated as part of the family; I moved to a different country and it has been 6/7years since I visit D.Bia. I went back this year 2020, and during COVID-19, and I must say; the restaurant has undergone a facelift but the things that matter, the delicious food is still as I remember! The food is still as delicious as I remembered, the high standards of service are still there ! The safety measurements for this pandemic are in place. I still feel like I’m the most special client (that’s the way they always make you feel) in-spite the restaurant is always full/active, the staff goes out of their way to accommodate your request and the way you want your food! The food is so tasty that there are no words to describe it, except food from heaven. I highly recommend the visit

Awsome place to eat fresh fish! As entrance we ask for "pataniscas" and "ovas grelhadas", all with a magnific taste and the sea food soup was delicious. We were 3 people and with two dishes (each of two portions) we were full! We had magnificent service and an overall good experience....also for is not expensive for a good lunch!
