"Originally a puertas cerradas restaurant (that is, one operated from a private residence), Doña gained such instant word-of-mouth that it quickly moved from the chef’s apartment and opened as a full-blown, public corner bistro in Almagro. Billed as comida tipo casa , the cuisine as an homage to the women in the chef’s family. As many Argentines have learned from their nonnas , pasta is the ultimate comfort food—and it’s the star of the show at Doña. Reserve a table for a dinner of house-specialty fusilli with meatballs and sauce. By Travesías"

Great place, great food, great service. People do line up and are willing to wait. Pasta seems freshly made, good portion sizes, very reasonable prices. If in area, a must do. Worth the commute if not. Surprised with a discount for cash (effectivo)

I was home sick and ordered gnocchis for take out and they were extremely helpful and patient with getting me my delivery! The food was amazing on top of the great service, 10/10 will be ordering from them again.

The place is quite popular as by the time we left, it was full. I’d like to try it again, but I wasn’t impressed by what we ordered. The burrata was advertised as served on “bed” of arugula but it was more like a cot with its 8 strands. We had to keep adding Parmesan to the pasta because it was quite bland, and the gnocchi was not light as a cloud but more like palmitos which are firm.

Very nice, typical argentinian 'everyday' food.

I love this place, haven’t been here in 2 years and I am never disappointed! I ordered the brassieres meat ravioli, hand made and fresh which were delicious as expedited!

Best lunch I’ve had to far in Argentina. 3500 pesos (4.5 dollars) for these incredible sorrentinos stuffed with roasted pumpkin and ricotta, plus meatballs, wine and dessert. I highly doubt it can get better than that. Now the guy at the door wasn’t helpful, he didn’t get me a table, he didn’t offer me the menu, I had to get out of my table twice to get some attention, a bit messy (we understood each other because I speak Spanish fluently, he just didn’t care). Still worth it though.

Last 29th went there to try their pasta and I can say that it is a really good option if you want to have a good homemade argentinian pasta for a really good price in a traditional style restaurant. The waitress was really nice and helpful! Also recommend trying their sorrentinos - my friend ordered and I tried a bit (just didn’t take a photo but it was really good looking).
