It was a later lunch, midafternoon, passing by serendipitously on our way from the bus stop from Valencia, and stretching our legs before boarding a later ferry. It was open, and evidently immaculately clean. So, we took a shot. Ericka, the server couldn't have been more pleasant, and although Spanish was my partner's first language, she recognized us in English, politely and with a lovely smile. From those first moments, we were completely at home, and after our lunch, we can't wait to go back. The food was delicious, freshly prepared to order, more than ample, and uniquely flavorful. We ordered an entree of fried pork belly, eggplant and goat cheese appetizer, and literally wiped the serving dishes clean. A glass of red wine from a fresh bottle of a local vintage finished off a lucky choice. My partner and I are food people. His family owned restaurants, and as the eldest sibling in mine, I was the eager pupil of my Indian grandmother, and had an English education that included Home Economics, and raised in South America. As my partner pointed out immediately on first taste, "This is the real deal!" We were happy to see the chef at the end of our meal and communicated our immense satisfaction.
