Dongara Hotel Motel

We stayed here for several nights in September, and had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. The rooms were fine. It is an old looking place but the rooms were clean, the shower worked well. It served our purpose very well. Breakfast were excellent, although there were some interesting oddities. Pancakes for breakfast, very good, but with a big scoop of ice cream on top? I admit that I ate it all (but not the dreary canned fruit that came with it). My wife had the avocado toast, which was tasty, but again, with a scoop of ice cream on top? Very odd. Dinners were excellent, a very extensive menu with lots of options. Unfortunately, with our large group, they always seated us in the outdoor area, and it was too cold to be comfortable. They had space heaters but none of them were turned on. Staff, in the hotel and restaurant, were very pleasant.

The food was amazing. Bar staff fantastic (no i don't personally know anyone working or owning the pub) the rooms absolutely perfect. And for those of us who work ling hours in the sun. The pool doesn't have a curfew and was perfect after a 44° day.. The only thing I could fault was paying for the washing machine and dryer..

Our 4th visit to this hotel and every time enjoyed our stay. The dinner was perfect- great t- bone steak- perfectly grilled and the grilled fish also presented tastefully. I also want to mention the bar service ladies doing a friendly service- thanks to all.

Stopped over for lunch was extremely busy we ordered our food din't have to wait long had the mighty 1867 burger and wow best burger I have had in WA and rest of family really enjoyed their meals all accompanied by friendly service. Highly recommended

Nice pub. Can get very busy. Meals are good. Tasty. Rooms are ok. Although they serve a purpose.

Nothing to fault in way of food and service. Prices consistent with other good venues in the Midwest. Obviously a popular spot for locals. The beer garden areas are well planned and have plenty of shade for the summer months. Clean toilets, sturdy tables and actually comfortable bar stools. The indoor area was a little noisy from patrons and walls seemed to echo that noise. It could use an area to keep children from running around but parents should be more conscious of other patrons if they choose to bring young children to a licenced venue. Overall though a pleasant visit and we would return again.

What a meal!! Exceptional! Everyone was very happy with their meals on our table. Next time we visit dongra will be sure to call in again.

We had the Lamb Rack and Chicken Macadamia and they were bloody fantastic! Best meals we've had in months of being on the road. Cooked to perfection and the portion sizes are large 👌

The food here is PHENOMENAL!! Been here 3x and haven't been disappointed once - it is consistently delicious! Plus the portion is massive. I should disclose that I've only eaten here for dinner - have yet to try their breakfast menu but I'm sure it's amazing as well You can't go wrong ordering from their daily specials - imo, I think it's slightly cheaper than their fixed menu. Considering how busy they are, they're quite efficient at turning out hot, beautifully plated dishes All of my co-workers recommend this place and I know people that would drive 1.5-2hr return just to eat here. That's saying something

Stayed here on a weekend for one night, rooms are tidy but not very roomy, small double bed, I enjoyed the stay with a short walk to the shops and the hotels bars, dining and bottle shop. The meals were good but on the high end price wise, cheapest on the specials board was $25.

We enjoyed two nights here breaking up a long road trip. The motel is like a time warp to the 1960s but very well kept and clean. The mattresses and pillows were nice and surprisingly comfortable. Quiet surrounds and safe. The restaurant is great. It is very popular. The serves are very large and probably enough for two people. Recommend the ribs and the chicken parmis although everything looked delicious. The food is actually much better than your average country pub. Not cheap but good.
