Donna's Delicious Dozen

I eat gluten free cuz it causes bad headaches and my body hurts like I have the flu & it causes belly issues for my daughter. I was in Columbus to meet a friend and googled gluten free bakery and this placed popped up. The staff member was very nice and helpful, explaining what was gluten free and preparation. I ordered 1/2 dozen donuts with various toppings. I got to my daughter's to share and on 1st bite our eyes grew wide and we both said "they aren't dense! They are light & airy!" They were sooo delicious!!! They are pricey (but what gluten free items isn't??!!!) but worth it to be eating a gf donut that tastes like a regular one. I highly recommend. I would not recommend for celiac because they do make "regular" flour donuts. We will be back!!!

After reading through some of the reviews, I'm honestly not sure why someone would leave one star on a place that has some of the tastiest donuts we've ever had! We tried a half dozen which were priced very reasonable, some were very unique so we went out of our comfort zone to try different ones including "The Mitch" topped with bacon. All six were made to order and very fresh! I would highly recommend trying different ones. Donna was just leaving the shop when we arrived and greeted us very politely, this is probably me just being selfish and while I understand she's a small business owner, I wish she had a location closer to downtown/Short North.🍩🍩🍩

First time ordering here. I normally get my custom donuts from Amy’s! I’m impressed! Only thing is the donuts are a lot smaller than a normal donut. The donuts were fresh. Warm and I even had them delivered!

My family and I decided to support a locally grown business! We visited "DONNA'S DELICIOUS DONUTS" yesterday 😋, June 8th, in honor of my mother's Heavenly Birthday. Their donuts were made fresh to order, and we chose to build one of our own. The experience was great, as well as the service and atmosphere! (I was hoping to meet Mrs. Donna, but she was off that Saturday, as I went to high school with a couple of her brothers! ) The donut flavors were all amazing. We just found a new donut shop to frequent!

10/10, absolutely heavenly! I had no business going to Donna's for a half dozen donuts but I'm sure glad I did! It is like a combination of a cake and a traditional fried donut and man is it worth a trip out of your way to try! I tried 6 different donuts and they were all out of this world! I wish I'd tried the GF but I forgot to order one. The staff was also great. They were super slammed when I was there because it was national donut day and even though they were going as fast as they could and an extra staff member had to come in early to help handle the rush they were friendly, polite and informative with every customer. It's an open kitchen so patrons can see the whole process and they were even being kind to each other through the stressful situation.

I want to love this place, truly. The donuts are good but the limitations placed on the ordering process and no variations offered on customs donuts really put a damper on it. The business model really discourages walk ins, it’s a push to order online, you can’t even view the menu without setting a date and time to pick up. The ordering process itself is ok, but when you go to make a custom donut it’s so limited. Only one type or icing or glaze, you can’t combine or choose extra for amount, some topping choices, and a drizzle which is again limited to one option and no choose for extra amount. I’d gladly pay for extra icing, since for me it feels necessary because personally I prefer lots of icing and toppings. I usually trim off the bottom of the donuts to even out the ratio of toppings to dough. I think if they started opening up those options it would be a real asset to have fully customizable donuts. Like I said, they’re good donuts, I just hope they broaden their offerings which would really pump up my excitement for them.

Doughnuts were hot , fresh, and made with love. Employees were friendly, and the place was clean and inviting. Only complaint , doughnuts were stacked so all the frosting ran together. Fruity Pebble is not a good mix with Turtle. Other than that it was a good experience

Holy crap this place has amazing donuts. They fry them right in front of you and top them with all kinds of wonderful treats. I've eaten thousands of donuts in my life. These are the best. Hands down, no doubt, unquestionably the best donuts I've ever had. And the ladies working there gave me great service. They helped me pick out my donuts as there is quite a list, and it can be overwhelming on your first visit. I ordered the raspberry beret and the honey blue donuts. In the words of the great Jim Ross, "BAH GAWD" these donuts were amazing. I will be back much and often. Edit: Was in the area so I stopped in this morning for a pair of donuts. I ordered the cinnamon swirl and "oh we oh" donuts. Both were delicious. And getting these fresh baked and eaten them immediately only enhances the experience. The "oh we oh" was my favorite so far. I'm a big fan of Oreos and Oreos flavored foods, and this is no exception. Highly recommend everything I've tried thus far. Edit 2: Stopped by again and got their bacon donut and "The Mitch." Both were delish. Goodness, nothing disappoints here.

10/10 First-time customer here, and I'm thoroughly impressed! The only minor issue I noticed is that the donuts are quite smaller compared to regular donuts. However, I don't mind this at all and think it's a great aspect of the donuts. They were fresh, warm, and delicious. I've had the pleasure of eating countless donuts throughout my life, but these are undoubtedly the best I've ever had. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. My family raved about the cake donuts, declaring them the best they've ever tasted.

I got the assorted dozen with no bacon. They were so pretty I almost didn't want to eat them! I shared them with my coworkers and everyone loved them.

I ordered my half dozen online for pickup the next day. They were ready when I got there, I got All About the Bacon with chocolate icing. This was so yummy. Honey Blue, Boston Cream, Raspberry Beret and S'mores were all tasty. But my favs were PB Dream Cup and Choco Dip Choco Chip. The donuts are cakey and not greasy so they are delicate and sooo good. My only negative was that the donuts were small, about 4-5" but definately worth the calories.

Oh, my goodness! These donuts were hot and delicious! I ordered the strawberry cream cheese and the maple bacon. I always wanted to see the hype of a donut with bacon, and this did not disappoint. I probably won't order this flavor again only because I like my bacon crispy, which it was not...but it was still delicious! The strawberry cream cheese was my favorite. The strawberry drizzle was the perfect consistency...not to thick or sticky. I have to get used to paying $2.75 for one mini donut (paid $8+ for three); but this will not deter me from returning. These mini donuts are so rich that eating two is sufficient. I will make this my monthly go-to place and try different flavors.

I discovered Donna and her donuts via the food truck. Donna was working the truck with her friend. Amazing donuts and delicious topping combinations! I was impressed how the donuts were fresh made to order and had an incredible consistency being soft and airy on the inside with a firm exterior to hold the toppings. We ordered strawberry cheesecake, cinnamon swirl, and pralines. All were absolutely fantastic. Warm and so satisfying.

Wow. Talk about a donut being worth every single calorie, carb, sugar, etc etc. Donna's Delicious Dozen is like a yeast donut and a cake donut had a baby and it is PERFECT! This is a must have and get them when they're warm! The donuts literally melt in your mouth and before you know it, you'll be in a sugar coma because you'll have eaten the entire dozen in one sitting. I made a lemon glaze + raspberry drizzle and it was gone in 3 bites haha. It was so good and not overly sweet. The Honey Blue is a blueberry glaze sprinkled with struesel and topped with a honey drizzle. The blueberry was not strong enough so it wasn't my favorite. The original glaze is delicious and a must, as well as the vanilla glaze. My sister had a GF honey drizzle with pecans and said it was good. The rest of the GF were for a friend who loves the cinnamon sugar option! The employees were very kind and patient as we chose our donuts and the service was quick. I had ordered the GF ones and they were ready about 30min before scheduled pickup. They send you a text when they're ready so that's awesome! The cafe area had the cutest little booths that were comfortable and clean. Forks and little trays are provided when you pickup your donuts. I cannot wait to go back!

Best GF donuts in town. I ordered a half dozen of Donna's favorites and picked them up at Bottoms Up coffee shop in Franklinton. They were waiting for me right on time and boy they were good! The maple bacon was my favorite but they all delivered with a thin, crunchy outer layer and a moist but pillowy interior with a subtle vanilla-ey flavor. Just the right size and toppings so they weren't cloyingly sweet. They weren't cheap but when you are GF, a good donut is worth the money.

This place is a DEF a fan fav amongst my coworkers! I'm not super close to the location but I wanted to pick up some donuts for my establishment for Black History Month since this is a black-owned business that I found on ExperienceColumbus.com. It was important to me to celebrate this in a way that acutally promoted a black-owned business. Ordering was easy, just a call! I drove quite a bit out of the way of work to pick these up and they were ready to go right when I was there! The person there when I picked up, seemed to be the owner.. not sure.. but just got that feel, was SO SWEET! She offered me some coffee on the house after she asked how I was and I answered with something along the lines of being tired but trying to wake up. The donuts were SUPER YUMMY! & staff remembered them and have asked about them since! The prices were VERY FAIR! So... I will def be back! Even though this business locations isn't super convenient, due to the quality and prices and service... I WILL be back! A+++!!!

Really delicious donuts. You're going to get a fresh hot donuts because these donuts are made to order. They are also completely customizable so you can have any flavor combination that you're looking for. It's the chipotle of donuts!

Visited the Donna's Delicious Dozen food truck today and was blown away! They we're 2/$6 at the foodtruck, and were a little smaller than what I was expecting but my first bite erased any trepidations! I tried the Fruitylicious and Oreo flavors. (For other donut aficionados, I dare to say that Donna's cereal donut was better than the one I had at Voodoo Donuts!!) They came out piping hot, warm icing, perfect topping-to-icing-to-donut ratio, and were the perfect consistency. Despite a consistent line, the donuts came out quickly! The staff running the food truck had amazing customer service. I am excited to see that there is a storefront I can visit to get more!!

Starting work late today because I have a training refresher going back to my old department. Yes, I stopped in after my dental appointment. I blame the coupon given to me after the first appointment. Who would have thought... a dentist giving me a voucher for a free donut after a round of nitrous and polish with fluoride...? Yes, sir, please! It's not just because they have bacon donuts, ...but they have -warm- bacon donuts. I personally like this raspberry beret. It's fresh, it's endearing and yes... a tad bit comforting on these salty, wintry, dreary days when I'm in my solitude mode. Think of it this way: take fresh fried, drained, drizzled, sprinkled... first bite is crisp but also soaked in that multi-drizzle... fruity tang of raspberry with crunchy chocolate graham. Creamy sweet end of white chocolate chip so melted... it barely holds its form (you know exactly what I mean). I pulled a good hefty 115lbs on three solid sets among other things. This was my reward for pushing some heavy iron this morning. And while I would only do a seasonal single donut now and again...I certainly will come back here. Bacon is next...

Was so happy to see they had a Hanukkah special! These were a crowd pleaser. So pretty and tasted as good as they look.

Okay, these donuts are officially one of my favorites, they are SO soft and moist, because who enjoys a hard, dry donut?! Run, do not walk to get these, you will not regret it. You can get any fun or customized flavor you are thinking of. My favorite so far (because I will be back for more) is the maple bacon, YUMMY! The only thing is, I wish this sister girl would open up more locations, I live in Dublin, so I will make it when I can, but you bet your bottom dollar I will be there. It is probably a good thing I do not live too close hahaha. Such a sweet lil business! Keep up the amazing work, I can only imagine how hard it can be!

Wow. Got the All About the Bacon with Oreos. Best donut I can remember having. I guess it's possible I've had better but nothing comes to mind. Definitely going back...perhaps in like 2 hours. Also a very cute place.

Someone brought these donuts to my work place and it took a lot of self control not to grab another one!! I love the variety of donuts that they have! The flavors are so unique and so good. I have been there in store once and you can basically build your own donut which is so cool. The donuts are small too so they are perfectly sized. I highly recommend getting these for a workplace meeting or just for yourself honestly.

Best pumpkin pie donut I've ever had in my life. The chai flavor is a favorite as well. I rarely go any other time than when she has the fall flavors. They are incredible. The regular menu doesn't excite me.

Amazing and absolutely delicious! I love that the menu changes all the time so you can try new and creative flavors. We have visited here multiple times and every single time we are impressed with the quality of the donuts. During this particular visit we bought a dozen donuts for friends to try during a get together. We will be back and we absolutely recommend stopping by if you've never been.

So excited that I finally found my favorite donut place in Columbus!! Donna's is incredible. Each donut tasted so fresh and were so soft. The toppings were a great combination as well! Loved the flavors we had, can't wait to come back and try more flavors. The best was the chocolate, peanut butter and m&ms. There are so many combinations to choose from as well! Highly recommend.

These donuts have been popping up left and right on my IG feed since last summer and last month I was finally able to get my hands on some. Good thing their location is a bit out of my way because these quaint donuts are packed with flavor. I could eat a hundred of them! Here's the scoop, these babies are made to order and due to COVID health and safety measurements set in place, you want to order online ahead of time. Each donut is made to order and then dipped in one of their several yummy icings. Toppings range from fruit to sprinkles, caramel drizzles, you name it! Traci, the owner, and her staff were friendly and swift when greeting me and handing over my goods. I'll definitely be back!

I came here because of a Yelp event and holy smokes, it is delicious!! I heard about it all the time and used to live right down the street from it, but never went. Low key glad I never went before because I would've most definitely went every week because it's so good! I recommend ordering online as there are more options to choose from and it's made to how you like it. There is even a create your own donut and you can get gluten free donuts if you have a gluten allergy! You do have to buy at least 6 of them if you do gluten free. I was able to try the strawberry filled with strawberry frosting, strawberry cheesecake, Boston creme, and cherry filled. My favorite was the strawberry cheesecake because that frosting is to DIE for! The other donuts were good too. I would go back to try the other flavors. The donuts are not too big or sweet and most are about $1.50 each. Please please please try if you have not!

Stopped by this little donut shop after lunch. It is very cute in side. I love the set up of this donut shop. You can create your own donut or choose one of their concoctions. I decided to go with the Oreo donut and strawberry cheesecake. I was so excited that the donuts were warm. Who doesn't love a warm donut? The donuts were tasty and the toppings were good. I didn't love the strawberry drizzle. But other than that, I love how fresh the donuts are and how they are topped for you when you decide what you want.

I mean, gluten free donuts that are moist and delicious... what's not to love? Plus they now have crimson cup coffee. If you're a central Ohio native & you've never had a crimson cup frozen latte, what are you doing?? Donna's Delicious Dozen is an amazing East Side gem for us celiacs out there. Highly recommend!

Who doesn't love a donut? These are the best I've ever had. Far better than Duck Donuts. Even the next day, you might expect them to be stale- NOPE. Still perfect.

I went to Donna's as part of a promo event. They offer super easy online ordering. Even with the event promo and adding extra donuts, ordering online was a breeze. Perfect amount of communication that the order was received and when it was ready. I ordered the suggested donuts, but there is also the option to create your own donuts. When we walked in, it smelled amazing and they had our order ready. All the employees were super friendly and genuinely interested in us as customers. Our little box of donuts was warm and fresh. It made a perfect little hand warmer for traveling back out in the cold. The donuts are a nice size for consuming more than one and not feeling too terrible about possible wrecked diets. They were fresh and have lots of flavor. I kept mine until the next day and they were still delicious and held up nicely! I am super excited to have had the excuse to make a trip to Donna's. Their donuts are so yummy!

We always love trying new donut places. Donuts are my husbands all time favorite (behind only brownies). The place is kind of tucked away. Didn't see it at first. It's a cute little place. I'm sure when covid is over it would be a cute place to sit and enjoy your donuts. It smells great in there. They had everything all ready to go, set up in containers and waiting for pick up. The process was easy. Order online. Get confirmation. The morning of I got an email and a text to let me know my order was ready. Went in, picked up. In and out in a very short minute. Ok. The donuts. I will admit. Cake donuts aren't my favorite thing in the world. And they aren't my husbands either. But we wanted to give them a try, so we ordered a half dozen. The sticky bun flavor was to die for. That was by far my favorite. It was amazing. We were interested to try the filled ones since it's a cake donut. They were ok. Not much room for filling. We tried the round long John and the Boston cream. I made a "build your own" and did maple icing with bacon topping and honey drizzle. That was pretty delicious. Their strawberry cream specialty donut was pretty darn good too. The honey blue was pretty tasty. All in all. They are really good if you like the topped cake donuts. I am partial to some actually filled donuts myself but these am were very tasty. I feel like they were kinda small for $1.50 each but the flavor combos were on point.

Even though this is out of my way, it is totally worth the trip to visit Donna's Delicious Dozen. They have a very detail and organize website on all of the donut selection. If you want to be creative, you can also build your own donut. You can also order ahead on their website and pick up accordingly. For me, I am pretty picky about donut and prefer donut that are not too sweet. So I usually get either plain and/or just simple glaze donut. Donna's donut will be my new favorite spot for donut. Their icing is at the right proportion and it is not overly sweet. My favorite will be the simple strawberry icing topped with fresh strawberry. The fresh strawberry really help balance out the sweetness of the strawberry icing. Moreover, it add a different texture and additional moisture to the donut. If you order online, the pick up station will be just by the door. If you order in the store, you will also have a chance to see your donut go through the décor process as per your order.

The food was absolutely astonishingly great. To follow up we had amazing service and they gave us free donuts for riddles which was awesome! In addition it was so quiet all you could hear was the employees talking to you because they're super nice and the music. Also our server was David!

Was greeted by two very friendly workers when we entered. They informed us how we get to select two toppings for free or we can add more at additional cost. We chose different ones and also purchased a coffee which was fresh and very hot and a cold coffee drink which was very good also. We got our donuts to go but decided to eat a maple bacon one in the car. Can you say delicious......still very warm donut that melted in my mouth. Before you knew it we had two gone. I would definitely recommend going here if you like a cake donut!!!!

I'm sorry, these are not worth the money. They are just average tasting donuts, albeit with beautiful toppings. But overall, over hyped and over priced.

The only reason I stumbled upon this place was because Nothing Bundt Cakes was closed, and I regret my decision of deciding to try something new as opposed to waiting until Nothing Bundt Cakes was open the next day. It was just extremely overpriced and didn't live up to the hype online at all! Plus, in my opinion, they do absolutely nothing to separate themselves from their competition such as Duck Donuts and Peace, Love, And Little Donuts. They tasted it good, though not great or unique, and we're aesthetically pleasing but that's about it. When I can buy donuts at another shop that are twice the size for half the price then something is wrong.

How did we not know about this place? Amazing taste. Enthusiastic staff (especially David).

In addition to the Strawberry Dream and Yelpentine Donut, I also ordered a PB Dream Cup and Feelin' Fruitylicious for pickup. The online ordering system was super simple. I received a text alert when the order ready. Upon arrival you receive a warm welcome at Donna's (and I'm not just talking about the donuts). The donuts were still warm at pickup. The chocolate and peanut butter drizzle on the PB Dream Cup was so good. All the donuts were moist and truly delicious. I would highly recommend Donna's to everyone and will definitely return!

The employees are nice, donuts fresh, & types of donut dressing are myriad. They only serve cake donuts, so if you like raised glazed & filled, look for someplace else

We had these brought into our work and they were donuts on steroids! The combinations are delicious- but the donuts are fairly large! It seems Impossible to eat two!

Donna's is ALWAYS a good move. You can even create your own, which is pretty cool. I always walk out with at least a dozen. My daughter loves the fruity pebbles, and my favorite is the maple bacon.

Because all of my friends -- plus many others -- have been raving about this place, I went in with high hopes (along with being slightly nervous I would be disappointed because my expectations were set so high). I am happy to report that this place is as good as they say! Along with two promotional donuts I received for being an elite Yelper, I ordered an assortment from the Donna's Favorites part of the menu -- see my photo for the full list. You guys, they were all so good! My family of four split each of them and we struggled to pick a favorite (but if you forced me, I'd say Feelin' Fruitylicious and Cinnamon Roll Crunch, but only narrowly over the others). I ordered online so pickup was a breeze. Parked right out front and was greeted immediately when I walked in. Quick and painless is important when you have a toddler in tow who only likes to keep her mask on for a couple minutes at a time! I highly recommend trying out Donna's Dozens if you haven't already. We can't wait to go back!

Went in for my free donut from the dentist and was excited to try. The donuts are delicious and unique. Crispy outside and soft inside. A must try.

Preordered for Easter Pick up. Was ready as promised. Website ordering was very easy. They seem a bit small but its a lot of flavor packed in. I enjoyed the lemon pistachio and the bacon maple the best. Kids of course enjoyed the peeps. Keep up the great work!

I went into Donna's Delicious Donuts on a Thursday morning around 11 am. There was only a few people here which is fine by me. I asked the lady at the counter which donuts she recommended but did not pick any that she said. Instead I ordered a PB Dream Cup donut only one because I don't need that much sugar. The lads working was making the donuts fresh as we ordered them and loading up the toppings. The donut literally melted in my mouth. It was AMAZING! I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be back soon for my one donut at a time

ONE WORD: DELICIOUS. These donuts are a perfect special occasion treat! I have heard about Donna's before on here and had to try the donuts. We tried the pumpkin spice and fruity pebble options which were both solid choices. The packaging is all too adorable & the service is good. These are packaged so well that they would also make a nice gift. I would definitely return to this location & it is very convenient to get to with plenty of parking.
