Don't Tell Aunty is one of those places that instantly grabs your attention - from the funky neon signs to the bold colors and cheeky menu names. It's modern Indian with attitude. Cocktails here are just as creative.I tried ‘Spicy lil auntie’ and I loved it. Service was friendly and quick, with staff happy to make recommendations. Absolutely worth it for the quality and experience. Would I come back? 100% YES. And don't skip dessert: Cheesecake was the perfect choice.

My favourite Indian thali in the city! We went for the chef’s tasting menu and had a very generous serving of entrees and main course. I love how all their curries have a different base and the favours are very diverse and distinct, not something you find when you have 5 curries in your thali. The Naan and Jeera rice were the perfect sides for the curries. Definitely not for the faint-hearted, the portions are enormous!

Thank you Dipesh and your excellent team for welcoming me twice on the couch as a walk-in at DON’T TELL AUNTY, simply one of the best restaurants in Sydney. The spicy food is utterly delicious and imaginatively presented. This is a large exciting space (rightfully packed, but never overcrowded.) Buzzy and vibey with great sounds. Birthday boys and girls are serenaded with the usual anthem, sparklers and crowned with a turban! For me, a solo traveler, it was particularly memorable because on my first visit I made two fabulous new friends; Teddy and Elijah. One of my top Antipodean memories. Thank you 🙏 and Please Tell Aunty!

It is a great indian restaurant, and very popular. It gets busy very quickly, and it is better to book beforehand. The staff is very friendly and kind. The food was very delicious. Very tasty! Everything was perfect. :)

Whenever I walk past this place it’s packed! Friends took me here for my bday. Pretty good vibe inside. Must try the lamb chops that was definitely the standout. The croquettes, butter chicken and garlic naan were good. Since it was my bday they came around with a dessert and played 50 cent. Of course it’s everyone birthday so they kept doing that all night. The cocktails were really good too! Highly recommended if you’re looking for delicious Indian good with a vibe!

We went here for a team outing so its one of my bosses first time trying out India cruises so we tried to keep it mild and simple. Apart from food in images we order Basmati rice, 4 naan baskets, Shahi panner, aunty’s daal for vegetarian. Chicken tikka masala, short rib korma, and tandoori chicken for non veg. I wont suggest rose lassi its don’t taste that good but other than that food was yummy. Things I liked apart from food. 1. Presentation of food 2. I liked how they play too loud birthday song to grab everyone attention and get a cake with pagri. 3. Services was nice

Was in Sydney for work and found this gem. Had chilli garlic naan and shahi paneer masala and tandoori corn salad and raita. I loved everything, however didnt fancy the corn salad.

Yelp
Very cool vibe!! The wait staff and the food was wonderful. Not your typical Indian restaurant...which is exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommended, we will be back!

Yelp
The food was great! We paid 78 AUD pp for the basic tasting menu which came with 4 appetizers and a bit of 6 curries. The appetizers were great, not pictured are the papdi shots and tandoori chicken. I highly recommend the tandoori chicken and the rest of the appetizers. The curry platter was a good tasting experience but I recommend trying it once and then ordering what you like. The service was phenomenal and our servers were rockstars .

Yelp
Had a regrettable experience at this highly recommended restaurant. While the food may be decent, the service was a major letdown. Staff seemed disinterested and unengaged, failing to provide the level of hospitality expected from a top-rated restaurant. Improvement needed in customer service.

Yelp
The ambience of the restaurant is hip and trendy. However, the food is not better than the typical Indian restaurants and it was way overpriced. The curry pots were teeny tiny and the naan was so thin it was crispy and not fluffy and soft.

Yelp
A absolutely superb in every way. We went there for the first time last week and we blown away. Impeccable service and a very nice and airy large semi-industrial space that still feels comfortable. The service was impeccable, they have a full bar and the food out of this world. In particular the appetizers. If I were to die while eating their "crispy balls" (cannot remember their exact name) I would die a happy man. A must
