These doughnuts were so good. The one I had was still warm I really enjoyed it. I also got the croissant bites. Those were very yummy. We are very picky about doughnuts due to our hometown having amazing doughnuts. So for me to say they were good is kind of a big deal. I highly recommend you stop by here and give them a try.

Had to order from here 3 times while i was in Hawaii!! They are just THAT GOOD! Soft bread (even after storing in the fridge overnight!!) sweet staff. Made our experience very memorable

Good donuts especially the croissant one with the maple caramel glazing one...though the marshmallow one was just as delicious. Only the oreo one was okay. The oreo was soggy, kind of a let down.

1/25/25 Was in the area so we stopped by to pick up some treats. He chose the maple bacon and chocolate eclair. I picked plain glazed and glazed old fashioned. When we got home a few hours later, the donuts were just as delicious as I remember the first time. The only bummer was that he had asked for a chocolate eclair but chocolate glazed was in the box instead. Ahh, it was okay because it was delicious. 10/14/2021 A friend dropped by and brought me the plain glazed donuts to try. She said they're the best when eaten warm and right away (she'll eat hers in the parking lot!). They weren't warm but wow! I don't ever crave donuts but these were light, fluffy, and not too sweet. The texture when I bit into the donut was addicting! Good thing I live far away from this location or I'd eat these waaaay too often.

The most delicious donuts can be found here. Once a month, my wife allows me to indulge here because if I could. I'd be a permanent fixture here eating and promoting the sweet, soft, delicious baked goodies found inside their shop. The ladies are so friendly. Give it a try. There are various items to try.

This little shop is amazing. The pastries are divine. I walked all the way here against my better judgment and stood in line for a while but after taking a bite of the original glazed it was so worth it. The flavor was fresh light and airy! The cronut was another favorite of mine. Will definitely be back. As far as the pricing I thought it wasn't bad for such quality either.

Got lucky with no line at this local favorite. Donuts are super fresh and amazingly delicious. Got an assortment for friends, I enjoyed the maple bacon donut. Treat yoself. Note the iced coffee is pre-sweetened, I came in caffeine deprived so I went for it anyway, but kind of regretted, but that’s me. Come for donuts!

And not only that, but the bakery was decorated in such a cute manner that it made it even more special. I decided to sample a variety, and each bite was pure bliss. The classic glazed was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, the chocolate frosted was rich and decadent, and their specialty flavors? Forget about it! Each one was a unique and delicious experience. The dough was light and fluffy, the toppings were generous and flavorful, and the overall quality was simply outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, eager to share their passion for donuts. The shop itself was clean and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Honestly, I'm already planning my next visit. Donut King Hawaii has officially earned a permanent place in my heart (and stomach!). Located in the Market city shopping mall on near Kaimuki High School. There is a Foodland Supermarket and many other restaurants and businesses sharing the parking lot and also the restrooms. Thank you Kesha for the drop off of the delicious donuts for our morning breakfast! We enjoy the donuts from donut king because it is light and fluffy with a lot of flavor, they have many different types of donuts to choose from. Go early because they do sell out quickly

Can't tell you how many times I stop here for myself or for potluck or just to put a smile on peoples faces when they see me coming with donut king donuts. My fave is their original donut holes, so so soft, slightly chewy and just ono! Second fav is the croissant bites. And any of their regular glazed donuts I absolutely love. Sorry I keep forgetting to take picture? Always rushing to drop off freshly baked donuts to friends. Parking is amazing if you go early before the other restaurants open. Service is sometimes slow with one person taking, filling and ringing you up, once in awhile I get lucky and there is a second person to assist. Not to mention only like 2 people can be inside at a time, somehow this started during pandemic and us regulars still uphold this unwritten rule. If you see a line outside don't worry it won't be that long a wait unless someone has a huge order or doesn't know what they want when they get to counter (it's happened to me before). Support local ... go to donut king!

CROISSANT BITES! Get the croissant bites. Please. Their croissant bites are mini bite sized glazed croissants that are super addicting and a dozen isn't enough. So please try them if you haven't yet! Their donut holes are really good too. Their super soft every time! They have a variety of donuts, both yeast and cake and jelly filled. I wish they opened a second location closer to me but every time I'm in the area, I make sure to bring some home with me.

How did I not know about this place a long time ago?! I stumbled upon Donut King Hawaii on accident. I went to Ben Franklin one day and noticed this small donut spot. They had different types of donuts there. We got a dozen different donuts and let me tell you, they were all amazing! We definitely will be back for more. Could you please make a location on the West Side???

This update is limited to the croissant bites. At $3.95 for 1/2 dozen, these delectable delights are worth the hype. Crispy, flaky bites with a crème brûlée like glaze. There was a line going into this place today. I wondered if there would be any left by the time I came up to the counter to place my order. You must go early to try these delights. I was able to take pictures this time around. This is a small, but cheerful place. The glass display showcases are clean and attractive. 5/5 stars for the croissant bites.

My daughter says, "Mom, you've got to try these donuts. They're the best in Honolulu!" The shop is in a food-filled strip mall. Cases of donuts greet us as we walk in and a paper dragon hangs over the checkout counter. Clerks are friendly and efficient. My daughter recommends the donut holes, but says her friends like the croissant "holes". I order 6 of each. She has her hands in the bag before I can get a pic! The donut holes melt in your mouth. They are light with a slightly crunchy glaze. They are delicious. The croissant "holes" have a heavier texture and equally delicious. If you're lucky you can find parking in the lot.

Definitely visit this one if you can instead of the one in Waikiki. This one has designated parking because it is in a shopping center. Of course we had to make a stop. They were voted again for best donut on the island! We were on our way to Hoomaluhia and needed a sweet treat for the drive. we ordered their famous maple and bacon donut and a half dozen of the cronuts. That maple bacon was divine. The donut soft and warm, maple was not overly sweet and the bacon was crispy. No wonder they are award winning! Apparently you can order a giant maple bacon, just needs to be ordered a head of time of course!

Update on Donut King stopped by today to purchase their Croissant bites . If you haven't already try it I recommend it. It's sweet savory and crispy and you can't stop at one you keep on eating lol. Service is friendly and fast Support local

The Long Johns were very good The girl behind the counter was very friendly and fast even though she was by herself and it was busy.

Finally tried this place and it did not disappoint. Our family loved them! The donuts were satisfyingly soft and it gave me that same feeling when I pop bubble wrap, only better. Sometimes you want chocolate with fun sprinkles, or a campfire toasted mallow with a hint of graham crackers, or sometimes you just can't take another disappointment and need a good ol' beautiful ring of glazy goodness to cheer you up. Whatever your particular needs may be, give these guys a try! Service was sufficient and the shop was clean. Parking is another story. Market City's parking is a crapshoot, but the payout here is worth the gamble.

Crave for yummy donuts, come and get them here if you're down this side of town. Even if it gets busy you gotta come try it out. Had to get my long John and chocolate covered donut, the hubby got Ube glazed coconut flakes donut. It's doughy soft and yummy sweet. They've got a lot of different flavors which we wanna try the next time but I'm keeping my eye on the croissant donuts :) Thanks Donut King Hawai'i, we'll be back again.

Wow!! The best donuts in town. You'll never go back to Liliha Restaurant for donuts again. I guarantee it.

The best glazed donut on the island. Made fresh daily, this is where we go for early morning meetings! It's $31.88 for a dozen. Conveniently located in Market City Shopping Center with lots of parking in the mornings! It's definitely an office favorite!

Croissant bites and donut holes are the two things that make me come back here. All their other donuts are very expensive especially if you're ordering for a large group. The donut holes and croissant bites on the other hand are fairly priced and the best tasting in my opinion. Great to pick up for a large group. The cross isn't bites remind me of a mini flaky glazed donut if you've ever had and their donut holes and soft and a little chewy! Service is always professional and nice here. I do believe there is a credit minimum if planning to pay with card. I really wish they would extend their hours on both ends. I believe they open from 6-5:30. But for those who work early it makes it hard to pickup before work. And I wish they'd stay open to maybe 8 or 9 for the dessert cravings! Feel like they would do well since there's plenty of restaurants but no dessert options in market city.

What!?!?!?! How did I live on Oahu for the better part of the 90's and I just discovered this place?!?! First time back to Oahu since 2000. Saw this place on a local vlogger on YouTube. Bacon maple donuts?!?! Yes please!! I tried the Vietnamese coffee, also extremely delicious.. and potent! Procede with caution. Their coconut glazed donut and the ube donut was also amazing. Some of the best donuts I have ever had. Already looking forward to my next trip back. I'm not going to wait 24 years though.. lol..

Donuts, the sweetest way to start your day! Sweet is the love language for many, if not for everyone. A coworker picked up some warm, soft and fresh donuts for a staff relocating to another location. It was a sad day but with these mouth watering and sweet dreams sends a signal that OMG just makes you so happy and a delight to be around people. The s'mores is my first choice followed but cookies and cream. A must have donuts for any celebration! Note: I can't say much about the ambiance since I didn't pick up the donuts myself.

Croissant bites That could literally be my whole review Parking is what you would expect from market city. It's either way open or horribly crowded. But this business is worth the gamble....because, croissant bites. The donuts are good. And my boys love them. But really...I only go here for croissant bites. Crispy and probably soaked in sugar water almost juicy. It's so weird and yet perfect. So delish. The people are always nice. And the shop is basically a counter with a drink cooler. Which is fine because....croissant bites. My kids love the other donuts. But this review and my heart belong to the croissant bites.

I haven't been here in years, but they still serve some of the best donuts around. Their donuts are really light and pillowy. It just melts in your mouth. I got a half dozen donut holes $2.85, half dozen croissant bites $3.70, maple glazed biscotti donut $4.75 and regular glazed donut $2.85. My favorite was the croissant bites. They were light, crispy and had the right amount of glaze on them. The regular glazed donut and donut holes were delicious as well. The maple glazed biscotti one was too sweet for my liking.

I LOVE DONUT KING. You wouldnt believe me if I told you, but I dont even like sweets or sugary things. Let me just tell you, their donut holes is my absolute all time FAVORITE. I love krispy kremes, but we have none on Oahu, and let me say, donut king is the closet and by the BEST! Its nice and fresh and just like butter melts in your mouth...

I recently had a chance to visit Donut King Hawaii while I was in the area. Knowing they close at 5:30 PM, I made it there by 4 PM, but found that much of their selection had already been picked over, which is understandable given the time. I opted for a chocolate doughnut, which I was able to grab and go without much delay. The service was a bit distracted; the person behind the counter was on the phone and didn't seem too engaged, but the process was quick nonetheless. The shop itself was clean, which was a plus. As for the doughnut, it was pretty standard--nothing extraordinary but it did hit the spot for my craving. Donut King serves as a satisfactory option if you're in need of a quick doughnut fix. It's decent for what it offers, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it unless I was nearby and craving something sweet.

The best donuts on island! Hands down. It's worth going to Market City! The croissant donuts are amazing as well as their cinnamon rolls and bacon maple donuts!

I kept hearing about this donut shop. Finally decided to give it a try and I'm sooo glad I did! The bacon maple was what I imagined, Crispy bacon and maple glaze that's not overly sweet. The glazed donut is like a cloud, so light and airy. My Aunty really enjoyed the old fashioned donut. They have to bite sized croissant donuts! They were all fresh and delish! I'll be back with my carton of milk! The lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. The boxes for the donuts are very sturdy too so you don't have to worry about them falling out.

Drove out on Mother's Day 24' - Was able to find parallel parking near Foodland, all other regular stalls are narrow and tight - Not busy at all, only had a few people ordering inside - Staff are friendly, patient and efficient * I am not really a 'donut' person, nor did I think I was capable of finishing a WHOLE donut. Let me say, these donuts are not only HUGE (think 2x a regular sized one), but it's literally pillow soft, yet crunchy on the outside and not even crazy sweet like other places. I really only eat poi mochi donuts.. * I personally got the COOKIE BUTTER donut and finished it in who knows how many minutes.. My daughter's pink sprinkled one was way too sweet but that's what it's made for! The regular chocolate covered was really good as well. Need to try the cinnamon crunch next time. * Will definitely come back here, it's a far drive from the West side but definitely WORTH IT. I forgot to ask the staff WHERE DA DONUT QUEEN?

From apple fritters, croissant-donut, classic long johns to imaginative topped creations...... So many happy decisions. The donuts were pretty large! Almost shareable but the airy dough kind of melts in your mouth so eating a whole donut is possible! It's a small bakery. Walk in, select your donuts, pay and walk out the other door. I did not see any tables to sit at so it's mainly a pick up your treasures and eat it somewhere else!

Killing time for a friend who never showed up for lunch, I went and splurged on two $5 cronuts at Donut King. I wish I had bought a couple more, especially since I don't live nearby and don't know the next time I'll be in town. I also wish I had tried other items, like the croissant bites. Ah well, there will be another time. Friendly worker at the counter. Cute, small shop on the corner at Market City Center. Be patient navigating the lame-o parking lot.

WOW - I mean WOW WOW WOW The apple fritters come out at 9 and are the most flavorful donuts on the shelf. Like a puffy soft donut- not even the big chain (CC) can touch the quality of their glaze plain. My service person was all smiles and happy. Who wouldn't working in this nostalgic cozy place. AMAZING

Had a hankering for malasadas, so popped on over to Leonard's, but I didn't want to wait in line, so found this place instead. I got the Apple Fritter and OMG, it was DELICIOUS. Perfectly crisp on the outside, perfectly soft and chewy on the inside. Hit my sweet spot just right!!

Been here 3 times. Our favorite donut shop! Donuts are fluffy, fresh, and so so good! The variety is excellent. Every time we've gone it's been busy. The wait is not long though and customer service is great. Our favorites are the maple bacon, glazed croissant bites, red velvet and the frosted old fashioned. They are all delicious though. Every kind. The egg, sausage, and cheese croissant was just as delicious. It's huge! And the outside was nice and crispy. If you are looking for a favorite donut shop, look no further! This is the only place to go.

Since it was my birthday, mom decided to get "cake donut" and I got a croissant. Mom also inquired about the "Texas donut" but the sales gal said, "it's a special order", 1-2 day i. Advanced. Ok, mom was happy they can make'm. Dessert at home (late nite) the cake donut was Sooooo ONO! Lite, soft, good taste! Good w/ a beverage. Later, that same Week, i ate 1/2 the croissant, lightly toasted, chicken spread on it!! Whoooo winnahz Much Mahalo Donut King for making my b-day cake donut so Yummers! We'll Be back to try the others.

These donuts are excellent. Yeast style donuts, very airy and fluffy inside, especially when they are hot! If you go early when they open around 6 am, you can get a fresh hot one!

On the way to the airport we dropped by Donut King for a quick breakfast. We ordered a bacon egg croissant, a sausage egg croissant, a guava cheese croissant, and last but not least, a chocolate and glazed old fashioned donuts! So good... Probably some of the best pastries I have had in a long time. Also the price point is great, we highly recommend!!

Got 500 donut holes and three donuts. Everything was fresh and perfectly light and fluffy! They took my order the night before and everything was ready to go and on time! Love this place

As a midwesterner, I consider myself a bit of an expert in non DD or big box donuts. All the local joints in ILL and Michigan can't compare to Donut King in Hawaii. The tourists all line up at the Kona Coffee (Waikiki) across the street (International Market) while there is usually no line at Donut King. The service is fast and you can watch them making the donuts. Its a normal donut joint, smells amazing. They serve Kona coffee and have an expresso machine. If you're staying in Waikiki, walk down and try a donut!

I had heard a lot of raves about Donut King and couldn't wait to try them. When I was done with my workout, I looked them up on Google Maps and made my way down. Got right to this location in less than 10 minutes drive. It was probably around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Very helpful, friendly staff. This spot is open 7 days a week so it seems like fresh donuts keep rolling out. Lots of interesting choices. Can be a bit overwhelming. These donuts were so good, fresh, and just knocked me out! Since I don't practice Lent or watch what I eat, I ordered 2 boxes of different types and flavors and saved the rest for the weekend which I hope will stay fresh and tasty. I'm coming back again!

In my humble opinion, these are the best donuts on island. I don't care for mass produced donuts like Krispy Kreme. These donuts are fresh and delicious! They have many different flavors, some new and some classic. They are a little pricey though.... *sigh* inflation... but I'm willing to pay for the quality and the taste. The place is clean and the staff is friendly.

Unfortunately found this place on our last day here. Everything we tried was amazing, the glazed are something to miss that's for sure. Service was great, the girl behind the counter was very patient while we decided what we were getting. Can't wait to come back!

Real donuts, they were fresh, made with real ingredients and so friendly. Like the good old days of eating real donuts with real ingredients not junk filled chemicals The coffee was amazing as well better than Starbucks for sure!

I loooove donut king. I think they have the best yeast donuts in Hawaiʻi!!! I love their maple and strawberry ones the most though and their cronuts are super bomb!

Feels like a Mom and Pops store, small, no frills...boxes around and overstock in visible sight but what gets you are those huge eye-level display cases with the best looking donuts you've ever seen. By far the freshest donuts we have ever had. Service great but a bit pricey. I guess $5 for a donut is worth it though when it has a whole bacon strip on it! I had the bacon maple and my hubby had 2 glazed donuts, his fave. We both wolfed them down and asked each other why we didn't buy more. So fresh and ono! If you can brave the parking and the lost baby chick following you around like glue thinking you are its mama, then you gotta try this place!

My absolute favorite donut place on island so far! My personal favorite are the classic glazed and donut holes. Idk how they do it but each of the donuts are so moist and soft even days later. I also tried the breakfast croissant sandwich which was huge and good ! I always make a point to stop by here when I'm in town

I've been on such a donut kick this past year so I was searching for outstanding donut shops on Oahu and came across Donut King. Got half a dozen croissant donut holes which I've never seen before and my control, the beloved classic sugar donut. Both were delicious but the sugar donut stood out to me as having a beer perfect texture. I like my donuts a bit on the denser side.

Literally drove from Ko Olina 25 miles to get Cronuts, they were sold out. There are very few places that make Cronuts. The sweet girl behind the counter said they sell out quickly. Then would you not think, hmm, I will make more to meet the demand. Just a thought.

So good ! I look forward to having donuts every weekend now! The maple and bacon are the BEST!
