Cathy is a gem of Wildwood, hilarious and knows her stuff. The museum is small, but it's absolutely packed with memorabilia, some of which is in the process of being restored. The hours on Google were incorrect when I went - they've been updated now, but if you're interested in checking it out, it might be good to just stroll over and see if they're open.

It’s a small room with old stuff from 40s to 2000. It was interesting for my daughter because she had never seen a rotary phone or a cassette tape before.

Great place! The lady working there was really sweet and had a lot of knowledge about the history of Wildwood. Very small museum though, you can look at everything in about 20 minutes. Recommend.

Awesome boneyard of old wildwood. Very nostalgic and joyful. Especially if you are of a certain age. : )

The museum is pretty small but definitely worth the visit. The tour the do is amazing. We thought the tour was going to be short but it was about an hour long and Definitely worth the price. It was a lot of fun and great history told by the tour guides. Goes all over Wildwood!

Google
Wonderful tour! We enjoyed seeing all of the motels and neon signs and learning details about their history that we hadn't known before. Music of the era was a nice touch and set the mood. Great tour guide, bus driver, and DJ!

Yelp
Stopped by tonight at 9:00 to ask how we buy tickets to the tour, since their website has no information or a place to purchase tickets, and the phone is out of order. The doors were locked when we walked up, which it says they close at 10:00 so they were still open for an hour. The RUDEST lady comes over, unlocks the doors and yells at us that they're closed. We asked if this is where we go to purchase tickets, she throws a newspaper at us and tells us to read it to figure it out. I said well online it says we can purchase from the website but the website has no link. She, very very rudely looks at me and says "listen honey, I know NOTHING about the tours." Which is funny because on their door it says that the tour leave from there, so you would think the person WORKING there would know something about a tour that is offered. She then slammed the door in our face. She's very lucky I was with my mother in law, or she would have had a different tone. Now we are not spending our couple hundred dollars on multiple tickets. We will he taking our money else ware.

Yelp
October 9, 2016--Went to the intersection at 4500 Ocean and Davis, saw NO SIGNS for this Museum, asked the guard at the Convention Center, he knew nothing, Now I see the picture below, we were in the right place. Is it closed??

Yelp
The Doo Wop experience museum is one of m favorite spots to visit in Wildwood. In case you did not know, it was constructed from the old surfside restaurant. It is decorated inside with tons of mid-century fixtures and every year it is fun to look around. There is also a interactive wall which shows a bit of history of the island which is a lot of fun. If you're in Wildwood, don't leave without a visit to the Doo Wop experience museum!

Yelp
Limited hours, not very big, but still worth a stop to learn a little history of the area and see cool furniture, lamps, and other paraphernalia. They offer a tour which I wish we were able to do. It probably would have upped my rating. Next time.

Yelp
As a doo wop/general 50s enthusiast, I was excited to find that there was a Doo Wop museum in Wildwood. In all honesty, it's a good place to spend 15 minutes checking out their homage to Wildwood's Doo wop era past. It's a cute place to stop and learn a little bit about the history of Wildwood and its motels.
