There were high expectations from our group about this booking, and whilst the venue is lovely and the decor creates this nice, moody vibe, the rest of it could use a little sharpening. The main wait staffer we had was great, very friendly and she had quite the wine knowledge to go with it. Unfortunately we had to continually flag her and other staff down if we wanted anything which is not what you’d expect for a fine dining establishment. The food was good, not amazing, and I feel it was missing the ‘food theatre’ aspect that many other hatted restaurants provide as standard. Don’t get me wrong, we had a good time, but when it comes to if we’d come back again it would probably be a no. FYI don’t sit at the large bench table, those seats are not comfortable for long periods of time.

Doot Doot Doot really delivers with taste and presentation. We opted for seafood mains which did not disappoint. The Moreton bay bugs and Rockling fish were cooked perfectly and decent portions. The poached pear 🍐 dessert was one to remember. Great restaurant setting with dark colours and an epic art piece on the ceiling. Overall good value for a 3 course meal (with additional snacks) for $130 per person. Upgrades are optional. The only thing we were expecting was a wine pairing option which didn’t exist. The waitress was extremely helpful with picking the wines though and offered a taste for every wine first before we ordered.

It is a beautiful restaurant to start with. Dinner was also nice but food in Rare Hare was better than here in my view. Dinner was presented quite well but lacked as much vow facor as I was expecting beside the amazing wagyu on hot rocks which was absolutely sensational. Overall definitely worth trying.

My husband surprised me with a visit to this amazing place for my birthday celebration, and it was truly unforgettable! We had a wonderful time from start to finish. Trinity and Holy took care of us — they were incredibly professional, respectful, and caring throughout our experience. The food was absolutely exquisite. We will definitely be coming back!

I don’t understand how Doot does not get talked about enough. The food was up there with Victoria’s very best. The entire restaurant and their staff were exceptional

We had the most amazing time at Doot Doot Doot! The service was outstanding, the ambiance in the winery grounds and restaurant was captivating, modern, and extremely stylish. The wine selection is impressive, and the cocktails at the bar were exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. The staff were so friendly and took the time to engage with us about each dish. Exceptional is the only way to describe our experience.👌

Evening Dinner – 3/4/2025 and Breakfast 4/4/2025 Atmosphere – very nicely furnished with a mix of bench seats and chairs. Amazing light feature on ceiling. Quiet music played in the background and it was easy to have a conversation. Service – Very good service once we got going, but we arrive and were seated and told someone would be with us soon to discuss the menus etc, but no one came for 30mins, which was very poor. Eventually I hollered down a waiter from the other side of the room and told him that I’d like him to take our order since we were being ignored by everyone else. He was most apologetic. Also, the Frenchman at the front counter when we arrived wasn’t overly friendly. Food – All was amazing. We ordered the following: Oysters – we ordered 4 but they brought out 8 so we had to send 4 back, which was odd. Not sure how they stuffed that up. Snacks - Fried steam bun, celeriac, truffle Spanner crab, spelt crisp, avocado Kohlrabi dumpling, lovage, macadamia – all of which were delicious! Entrée - Drunken chicken, water spinach, garlic shoot, prunes, lapsang souchong – this dish was superb. I don’t normally order chicken as it can be bland but this was very well done. Mains - Grilled lamb backstrap, butternut squash, ‘shepherd pie’, rosemary jus & Roasted duck breast, spiced carrot, fennel, mountain pepper. Both dishes were well portioned and super tasty. The shepherd pie was a very cutes sheep shaped pastry dish which was a real surprise. The duck was very tender too. The meal was served with super tasty bread. Dessert - Apple terrine, honey, mascarpone, five spice, lemon thyme & Peanut butter wafer, banana, espresso crumb, dark chocolate. Both dishes were divine. All food was technically perfect. Despite service starting out quite badly, we ended up with a lovely (blonde) female waitress (can’t remember her name) and had a wonderful evening. The following morning we had breakfast at the restaurant and ordered a new-age “English breakfast” and avocado on toast with tomato and salmon. The meal came with fruit too. All was wonderful and we had coffee and tea on tap. Could not fault the place.

Yelp
Enjoyable degustation with great service from Rob and Taryn giving excellent wine matches and non alcoholic (someone has to drive) options and excellent and informed service. Best degustation option on the peninsula in my opinion.
