On the Grid : Doppio

"Doppio restaurant is warm and cozy and with their fresh dishes concocted by the chef, you will make you travel all the way to Italy. On the menu, fresh homemade pasta every day, 'Burrata des Pouilles', antipasti, salads, Milanese escalope. This Italian canteen is a delight !" - CL Design

I was in Paris for a week and was crazing some pasta. I found Doppio and their reviews, especially one which mentioned the Ricotta and Fig Ravioli that I ended up getting and was blown away. It was so tasty and the portion size was good for the price. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the servers were both pleasant and attentive.

Amazing restaurant. Friendly and welcoming. Accommodated us and our bags as we were catching the Eurostar later in the day. Food was wonderful with delicious gluten free pasta available. Pain perdu was great.

The real issue is the food. It was simply very bad. My raviolis seemed to be made with crèpe dough, they tasted like dessert. My friend ordered the octopus salad, it was also really bad. The only decent dish was the artichoke salad. The staff was sweet but super lazy. The decor is okay, nothing special. A real let down.

Quaint yet popular restaurant. Great place for a fresh and hearty plate of pasta. Came with my grandparents, walked from gare du nord station and it was really worth the walk there. Owner himself served us with good recommendations.Kudos for the great service and awesome food. Will be back if I am ever in Paris again.

We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were quickly seated by the friendly host. The waitress recommended the home-made ravioli, which were excellent. For dessert I had the cheesecake, which was also excellent: creamy and not too heavy, which was a blessing in the hot weather. I had a glass rosé wine, which was decent. The 4/5 for atmosphere is in no way the fault of the restaurant: at the time, the place is surrounded by a building site due to road works being carried out. Hopefully these will soon be complete.

Good food served in this restaurant. Products are fresh now meals are lacking flavor and balance. Service is kept simple.

Delicious food, probably the best tiramisu I've had. They also had a special we tried which was also delicious. The service was prompt and friendly, perfect end to an exhausting day of walking, highly recommend.

Lovely Italian restaurant...great choice, particularly if you're looking for pasta. I had the Ragu which was excellent. Get the Limoncello dessert!!
