19 Best Spots for Aperitivo in Rome

"A snazzy neighborhood wine bar with a good cellar and a solid grasp of classic Italian cocktails. The big draw here, though, for us, is the very impressive aperitivo buffet. Come happy hour—6 to 9 daily, till 10 on Sundays—the whole place ramps up with platters of paper-thin-sliced prosciutto, buttery cheeses, mini-pizzas with delightfully crisp bases and creamy tomato sugo, and hand-stretched pasta. Grab a table by the window and order a crisp Vermentino from Sardinia, and make sure you grab a nutella button or two (or, ok, ten) before leaving." - Maresa Manara

Here you can almost make a light dinner out of the amount of food that you get from the aperitivo. It’s really good! For 10 euros you get s drink, some pizza and unlimited access to the buffet. Just wow. The staff was forgetting us a bit, sitting outside.. but that’s just a little minus.

Can't believe passing by this restaurant many times and having the courage to try it even once !!! Today I had the courage and went there with a friend.. by the time we arrived they were preparing lunch nevertheless they had some cornettos, cakes, desserts and pastries to serve. We had cappuccino, cornetto and cake then followed with cafe (espresso). Everything went fine, coffee was good and so did the cake and cornetto. Food looked great on the display and loved the wide selection of food they serve. Pretty much satisfies almost everyone. For sure in the near future will be there for lunch 😀 Had a great time and experience was great

We came here at 6PM. There were a lot of empty seats, so no waiting at all. We ordered aperol spritz 🍹. Everything you see was for 10€. Amazing deal. Definitely recommend.

I went there for an aperitivo. The quality of the food was very nice and varied. From pasta, to pizza, veggies, salad and dessert. There is not a lot of space so it is better to be there early or to reserve a table. Staff was quite friendly.

Great bar, and great staff with very good drinks. Matteo was great and very helpful for our time there.

Great aperitivo spot on a busy street with tables on the sidewalk. It seems like everyone who walked by knew someone sitting at the tables, so clearly a locals and regulars place. For 10 euro you get a beverage (spritz, wine, or beer) and the buffet which is all vegetarian with pastas, rice, grains, and an assortment of salads and grilled vegetable dishes. I forgot to take pictures of the buffet! You're also served a plate of assorted vegetarian pizzas. It's a terrific deal as long as you don't get lured by the additional menu items that are not on the buffet list that also look delicious.

Heard so much about the place and it was my first time in Rome so had to try out the place and wasn't disappointed. Service was great, drinks and food was good. I'm a vegetarian and they even had vegetarian options. I was very happy!

Yelp
Amazing local place for lunch! They rotate meals every day and you get to pick what you want cafeteria style. The quality is out of this world and many items I have never tasted before. I had to come back 4 times before I got a smile which we have been calling "angry Italian Service" the angrier the hosts the better the meal!!

Yelp
Let me start this review by saying that I do NOT like aperitivo. Not a fan. If I'm going out for a meal, I like my own, large, hot dish, rather than something that has been out for a while. BUT Doppio Zero definitely has some of the best aperitivo I tried in Rome. The food was actual plates of pasta and risotto, rather than just cheese and crackers. There is lots of variety, but not a ton of vegetarian options. The pizza was just ok, but the pasta was fairly well made. The highlight of eating at Doppio Zero is definitely the drinks though. The drinks are fantastic. I recommend one of the flavored mojitos. I always got the mango mojito and I never looked back.

Yelp
The brunch buffet was so good! They had pancakes but everything else was Italian so don't expect American brunch foods and you will love it.

Yelp
At first I was going to say busy and unfriendly...UNTIL Daniele made his special cocktail for me....it was delicious!! Maybe it was strong too...because suddenly the place felt warm and friendly...I will come back again.

Yelp
It's one of the first bar I went for an aperitif, in Rome. It has many things to eat, from sweet to salty, and many kind of drinks. The space isn't so big so I recommend to be a group of no more than 6 people. Friday and Saturday is harder to find a seat, like many others place in Rome :) It's noisy and unfortunately the parking isn't easy to find. The closer metro stop is Piramide, B line. At the end, I like it, also because is cheap: 10€ for one drink and infinite food (average quality) , even if I have a small stomach so it doesn't change so much for me :P
