Dora Canal Cottage

We stayed at the Dora Canal Cottage over July 4th 2023. What an adorable place! Every creature comfort we could have wanted was available to us. There was a binder explaining policies, procedures and where to find everything from extras pillows, blankets, towels, etc. It was so comfortable! And charmingly put together! It wasn’t just furnished—it was designed to feel like a get-away (and interior design is my job😊.) We had guests come over to hang out on the dock for the 4th, and everyone enjoyed the outdoor spaces. I have been at a couple of Airbnb’s since, and although one was a lovely historic home, neither was appointed nearly as well as the Dora Canal Cottage. The owners simply have figured out all of the necessities along with the comforts most would need to feel at home, AND conveyed clearly what we needed to provide and what was expected from us as guests. They should teach other investors how to set up their rentals!

Staying at Dora Canal Cottage was an absolute dream! The location is breathtaking—right on the water with stunning views and peaceful surroundings. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee on the deck or watching boats pass by, the setting is pure paradise. The house itself has everything you could possibly need and then some! It’s beautifully decorated, super clean, and feels so inviting—like you’re visiting family rather than staying in a rental. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and there’s plenty of space to relax and unwind. The hosts are simply the best! They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect, taking care of every little detail. You can truly tell they put their heart into making this place special. If you're looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and beautiful stay on the water, Dora Canal Cottage is the perfect choice. We can't wait to come back!
