Dorado Hotel Boutique - TACNA

The location of this hotel is very central. My room was located further from the street, so I didn't hear noises from outside, but the walls inside the hotel are thin, and the noise from the corridor and other rooms can be heard. Luckily, other guests were not too loud.||The hotel looks very traditional but it's well kept. My room was rather dark but that was fine for me. The air-conditioning worked fine, and it was nice to have a fridge although it was rather noisy.||The breakfast was quite good (comparing to hotels in the region). The rooftop terrace with a pool looked nice but I didn't have time to stay there.

It is not the first time I stayed here and i definitively recommend this hotel. Good infrastructure, classic design and very comfortable rooms. All the workers are very kind. The hotel is well located. The street in fornt of the hotel has many bars and restaurants where you can go and have a good time. Breaksfast is very good. I would like to stay there again when i go back to Tacna

Central hotel, lovely 50 year old building, ample rooms, high ceilings, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Flat screen CableTV, plenty of hot water. Lovely parquet floors, great buffet breakfast, nice 5th floor terrace with a pool. Decent service. Good bartenders.||||However, owners should do more. There was not a glass in my room. The doors kind of dirty and I wasn't so sure about the cleanliness of the tub. The monitors at the internet area were old boxes, not new flat panels. They let guests bring glasses to the pool...they should be plastic.||||The area is full of bars and it is noisy. So ask for the back rooms. I had one on the 3rd floor facing the street and it was booming until 2am on a Thursday night.||||Our corporate rate came to S/.160 for a single. Not that expensive for the city.||||I would go back, but the hotel cries for more attention. It is a pity, has the potential.

Older hotel with some old fashioned charm. Parquet wood floors and a rather interesting layout. Friendly and good service. Room was basic - clean and the bed was comfortable. No A/C so I opened the window for the cool night air. Quite noisy both at night and early the next morning. Nice TV (you get the remote at check-in and return at checkout) but the shower took a long time to provide hot water though my colleague on another floor did not have this problem. Good location and very reasonable prices.

An old structure, modern style, which offers a nice swimming pool, gardens and resting zones with wifi, cold drinks and lunch for only $5 dollars! Rooms are comfy and big, well maintained and very nice staff. Around 100 bucks per night.

There is no sound insulation in the rooms so you can hear the person in the room next to you, above you, the disco next door (till 2 AM) and people in the street. ||||Shower take 5 minutes to heat an insignifican water flux. ||||Internet is bad.

Average hotel nothing special. Dreadful wifi breakfast is basic and rooms are very basic but hey there is much much worse in Tacna
