16 Best Bars in Toronto | Condé Nast Traveler

"Stepping into dbar, the ground-floor bar at the Four Seasons Hotel, is an experience; the 20-foot floor-to-ceiling glass windows make a dramatic statement, and the neutral, low-slung furniture gives Yorkville's poshest patrons the chance to shine. Cocktails are straightforward, potent, and well executed, from the classics (martinis, Manhattans) to house drinks like The Pink Perk ($20), a heady mix of Stolichnaya vodka, strawberries, and prosecco. You can also order wine from the European-focused list at neighboring Café Boulud." - Todd Plummer

The dessert selection was outstanding, with a wide variety of beautifully executed options. The beverage menu, by comparison, felt more limited. We visited during our hotel stay, and from coat check to table setting, it was clear that a great deal of care goes into the overall guest experience. The attention to detail was noticeable and appreciated. However, the initial water served had a strong fishy odor, which was quite off-putting. We were told it may have been related to the dishwasher, but it would be worth rechecking the glass-drying process as well as the quality of the complimentary drinking water. The creme brulee and cheesecake were exceptional—easily among the best we’ve had—and truly lived up to the quality expected from Four Seasons. I ordered an iced Americano but was served an iced brewed coffee instead, which was disappointing. As it was a very busy time, I chose not to raise the issue then. Overall, the desserts are consistently strong and memorable. Some additional attention to beverage quality and accuracy would help bring the entire experience to the same high standard.

Top notch. Staffs are extremely friendly. One of the best service I ever received Fair price for a hotel bar If you’re ever unsure what to get, ask for a recommendation. Tried their recommended wine (niagara riesling) and it was the best riesling I ever had. Great desserts. I don’t normally like desserts or sweets but this was next level 100% recommended

My experience at d|Bar for afternoon tea was amazing. The ambiance was both elegant and relaxing, with live piano music that added a vibrant yet soothing touch to the atmosphere. The service was outstanding attentive and warm from start to finish. The food presentation was beautiful, and I’d rate it 8/10. While I was hoping for a bit more variety in flavor, everything was still delicious and fresh. I’ll definitely be bringing my family next time. Overall, a lovely spot for a refined and calming afternoon tea in Toronto.

I probably shouldn't admit to this, but I was with a client, and we found it necessary to stop for a quick drink while duscussing real estate and what we've seen that day and what we were going to see for the rest of the day. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they took the initiative to find out how to make a drink that they weren't familiar with. The army and navy with tequila turned out just splendid and my client, who had never tried it before, was very satisfied with the drink recommendation. Looking forward to the next D bar rendezvous

What can I say here? The absolute epitome of class service. If you want to see how beauty works in the form of customer service, come here. You can’t ever go wrong with Dbar or anything Four Seasons. An absolute joy!

I’ve been to d bar many times and twice now for New Year’s Eve. Erin was our server last night and she is terrific. Friendly, upbeat, energetic and attentive. The food was fantastic as well as the drinks. I love this spot.

I visited Dbar and had the plum and jicama salad along with their burger. The menu was quite limited with not much variety, and the food was just okay—not memorable for the price. Service was poor; our server seemed disengaged, and the host at the door was surprisingly rude, refusing to let us exit through the main entrance even though it was still open. For a restaurant in Yorkville, I expected a much better experience. With so many other great spots nearby offering better food, service, and atmosphere for the same price—like Café Boulud upstairs, Alobar or ONE Restaurant—I wouldn’t choose to return to Dbar.

We had the pleasure of visiting D|Bar inside the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto for Spring Afternoon Tea on Easter Sunday, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from beginning to end. The ambiance was refined yet welcoming, perfect for a special holiday outing, and what truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, making us feel incredibly well cared for. Their thoughtful hospitality really made our afternoon feel special. The Spring Afternoon Tea menu was beautifully curated and offered a wonderful variety of flavours and textures across savoury, sweet, and bakery selections. The mini croissant filled with Jambon de Paris, smoked cheddar, and garlic aioli was rich and satisfying. The deviled egg with lobster, Ossetra caviar, and fried capers added a luxurious and elegant touch. The stracciatella tartlet with tomato compote and pistachio crumble was both unique and refreshing. On the sweet side, the honey blueberry mousse had a delicate balance of floral and fruity notes with a creamy texture. The lemon thyme yogurt tart was vibrant and slightly herbaceous, with a tart shell and playful meringue accents. The kiwi cheesecake stood out with its smooth vanilla filling, paired with a bright kiwi jelly and lime sablé base. The strawberry rhubarb roll offered a beautifully layered combination of Japanese sponge, strawberry curd, vanilla whipped ganache, and poached rhubarb. The scones, served warm, came in plain and lemon poppyseed varieties and were paired with raspberry lavender jam, clotted cream, and lime curd. Each accompaniment added a subtle but complementary flavour to the perfectly textured scones. To round out our experience, we enjoyed a special gin cocktail made with ROKU gin, exclusive to the Four Seasons. It added a botanical and refreshing flair that paired well with the entire afternoon tea service. This was easily one of the most memorable high tea experiences we have had in Toronto. The elegant setting, exceptional service, and thoughtfully prepared menu made for a truly special Easter celebration. We would highly recommend D|Bar’s afternoon tea to anyone looking for an elevated and elegant experience in the city.
