Dorint Kurfürstendamm Berlin (Berlin, Germany) 9 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Berlin is a city of many centers, or of no center at all — same thing, really, and in the end you’ve got to quit meditating on that seeming paradox and just pick a neighborhood. Old East Berlin is where you’ll find the cutting-edge nightlife, Mitte is the booming commercial center, and for shopping, particularly of the high-end designer variety, it’s hard to beat the Kurfürstendamm, West Berlin’s famous boulevard." - Tablet Hotels

We had a wonderful stay at Dorint Kurfürstendamm Berlin. We spent two nights here and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is exceptionally clean and spacious, with an outstanding breakfast selection that offered plenty of healthy choices. The bar was also very nice. We really enjoyed both the drinks and the food. The location is excellent, just a 5–7 minute walk from the shopping district and conveniently across from a supermarket. The in-room details, like the speakers in the washroom and the thoughtful divider between the room and bathroom, made the stay even more comfortable. The gym was well-equipped, though I was a little disappointed not to be able to use the sauna as it was always occupied. One small drawback was that our room didn’t seem to have a fridge (or perhaps we couldn’t locate it). Otherwise, everything exceeded expectations. We’d definitely return!

This is an absolutely beautiful and modern hotel in the best location in Berlin. The staff are very accommodating. Eva (one of front desk staff) has been very helpful in helping us with things such as finding a bus or train to another country that we are visiting. She has been going above and beyond to please the customers. She also speaks Greek, so beautiful people of Greece are very welcomed here. The room is very clean and modern. The bathroom is very clean and has all the amenities you need. I highly recommend this hotel

This hotel was recommended to me by friends - and wow am I glad that I took their advice! It is so centrally located, the rooms are enormous - and the staff are wonderful and super helpful!. Everything was just perfect. This was my first time to Berlin/Germany and I was traveling solo. This was the perfect hotel for my first stay in Germany. I would definitely come back here. Especially for the location. I was able to get myself and my luggage (1 large suitcase and 1 small wheelie bag) quite easily from the hotel to a main train station (Zoologischer Garten) to get the train back to the airport from there. It is also a very short walk to Kar De We and a whole load of other shops if you are in to shopping. Given its proximity to Zoologischer Garten it was also super easy to catch trains to the meeting points for my other tours. A tip from me on the trains - the Berlin Welcome Pass AB will not get you anywhere outside of metropolitan Berlin, and yes there are guards on the train who check your tickets. But for 2Euro you can upgrade your AB train ticket to ABC. I would recommend buying the AB tickets and then upgrading them if you need to. And also don't forget to validate them! You will need an ABC to get to Potsdam and the airport.

We stayed here for 3 days and it was a very delightful stay. ||The rooms are massive by European standards. Even regular rooms are over 400 sq ft. So you’ll have plenty of space to enjoy. ||The Wi-Fi is so slow and unreliable it is nearly useless. Often I had to disconnect it and use my cell connection to get anything done at all. The television channels are also unwatchable. No matter what station you choose they are pixellated badly much of the time or just drop out. This happened every day of our stay so it is not weather related. ||We did not try the breakfast as prices are high but there are endless choices of restaurants and cafes in the area. The location is right in the heart of Kurfürstendamm so no matter what you need in terms of shopping, food, or other services you’ll find it. ||Beds are comfortable, there is a fridge, the bathroom is massive, and there is nicely working air conditioning. Service was extremely friendly and our request for extra blankets and pillows was handled super quickly. The staff is wonderful. ||While this hotel has some disadvantages I would still return. It really does have a lot going for it.

Read some recent reviews about this hotel being run down and this is NOT the case at all. Immaculate, high state of repair and we spotted no issues at all. Beds were very comfortable, we got fresh towels daily and clean glassware, new coffee pods etc. the staff were so kind speaking to us in English when we had had too many lovely German beers! I’m going to book again for next year. The supermarket across the street was very helpful too.

The location is great. Our room is very spacious and clean. The bed is quite large and very comfortable. The bathtub is really nice to have. However we paid almost 250€ per night so we expect more. There are just a few small things that could be better. For example, the air conditions was making noises all the time. Our room was cleaned only twice in 5 days and the staff forgot to refill coffee and tea. The breakfast room was quite small for a hotel this size. So it was really packed between 9:00 and 10:00. The breakfast was only adequate. It could use some variety. The staff was always polite and friendly.

I book Dorint every time I visit Berlin. The location is amazing, the rooms are huge, and the hotel is always quite.|But after my last visit I'm really considering to change the hotel. The rooms are getting outdated (the water would stay still in the sink for a while before it goes down the drain), the hotel does not offer a daily cleaning service now (They clean every other day according to their schedule and not your arrival time), And the reception team is always very stiff! no smile, no welcome, not even an acknowledgment that you are standing there!|This used to be one of the best hotels in all of Berlin, but now they killed it and Im sad to see that happening.
