Dormy Inn Kurashiki is a gem! This cozy hotel in the heart of Kurashiki offers comfy rooms, hot spring baths, and a prime location just next to the historic quarter. The staff is super friendly. It's the perfect spot for a delightful stay in Kurashiki!

The hotel is not very special, to be honest. The bed was very hard, and the pillows hard and tiny. The linen and bed frames were both a bit dirty. However, the location right next to the gorgeous old town streets and the river could not be better. We also loved that we had the possibility of washing our clothes in complimentary washing machines (as well as detergent). We only had to pay 200 yen to dry the laundry in the dryer. There are hot springs on the highest floor, but being tattooed, we were not allowed to use them, which is a shame. Any Japanese person knows instantly by looking at us that we are not from the Yakuza. It's high time the Japanese get over these stereotypes.

Great little rooms with all you need including shampoo, conditioner, soap, razor, toothbrush etc. Slippers and pajamas are supplies which you can wear throughout the hotel. ||||The breakfast buffet has all the Japanese foods, some specialties and even some pastries and bread rolls. ||||Coffee and tea available in the reception area most of the time. ||||The natural spa (separated into men and women as no clothes are worn) has an indoor and out door spa and a sauna. ||||There are free washing machines, dryers are a few dollars per 20 minutes and free ice creams on the top floor with the spa areas and laundry.

Wonderful hotel with big indoor and outdoor onsen bath to enjoy as a part of your stay. Comfortable beds, good breakfast and good sized room clothes even for international guests. Amenities in reusable/refillable containers, single-use plastic amenities only in lobby if you need which cuts down in waste, good quality towels that you can use more than once & which cover a larger body. Staff are helpful and forms/hotel information in English & Japanese. Fantastic buffet breakfast - alongside some beautiful lookingeat and fish and egg dishes you also have a lot of meat-free, fish-free, vegan and vegetarian, plantbased options- soany healthy options. Also nice to see you can eat without single use plastics to finish your breakfast almost completely waste & plastic-free. Overall, this is one of the best hotel buffets I've seen in Japan & very reasonable price. Also, Free coffee, juice & probiotic drinks for guests & free noodles at night in the lobby if you want.

A typical Dormy Inn with good spa, evening noodle ice cream and in particular good service. When I checked out, the front desk staff went to outside of the hotel to try to get me a taxi. Is right at the tourist spot but not within walking distance to the station ( less than ¥500 by taxi ). If you like Dormy Inn, this one would not disappoint you. Also the spa clam to be able to heal a lot of diseases. Hope is right.

A nice hotel with a roof top hot spring which contain hot pool, open pool, cold pool and steam room. There were two resting room with free television and pay massage chairs. Free Japanese noodle was offered at 9 pm. One front desk staff could speak simple English. The car park was located behind the hotel and needed to access through a narrow road but the staff there could speak English too. Room size relatively small.

First off, please notice that the carpark is an elevator one which is located behind the hotel, not next to it, so don't confuse yourself or get penalized. Once you get in, staff are helpful and sincere. We got our rooms in a pretty smooth fashion, and the staff promptly dealt with our requests. The room is nice with good amount of space to move around. The Onsen itself is enjoyable, though there are only two to pick and they consist of the same type of water, while the outdoor one does not actually provide any views. Location-wise, it's located next to a Family Mart, and also very close to a wide range of restaurants, even the department stores are just few blocks away, so quite convenient.

Yelp
Hotel Dormy Inn located in the Kurashiki area of Okayama, is a clean and refreshing place for any visitor to the area. I stayed here with a large group of 20+ members, we were accommodated very well on similar floors to stay close to each other. Among other guests were businessmen and international travelers in transit. This hotel is right across the street from the Bikan historical area, where there are shops, sites and architecture from years ago. Amenities provided are shampoo, conditioner, small fridge, safe and assorted vanity items. The lobby features a ton of open spaces for lounging and catching up on any work. Wifi available throughout the hotel, but sometimes the system will kick you out. Free iced tea and coffee available for most of the day in the lobby as well, don't miss the chance to take part in their breakfast buffet until 9am! One other thing, they offer FREE RAMEN in the lobby from 9pm-11pm! It's a small bowl of noodles, but super delish nonetheless. One great note, there are vending machines in the lobby that DON'T sell regular water (only citrus or grape flavored), but bottled drinking water can be purchased at the front desk for Y100.

Yelp
This hotel was very nice! I felt like the room was slightly larger than the rooms in other hotels I've stayed in while in Japan. The rooms were very nice and clean. They even had a universal phone charger you could use. How come the Japanese know what you need before you even need it? I came to this hotel with a group of teenagers , and some of the kids got locked out of their room. One of the boys took the room key, then went and took a nap in the room! So his roommates got locked out! With my broken Japanese I explained to the front desk what happened and asked them if they could open the room. They were really nice and helped us out. As embarrassing as this sounds, this happened twice. But the employees at this hotel were so nice and helped us! They also had some good ramen that you could eat around dinner time. This is the hotel to pick if you are coming to this area.
