Dormy Inn Matsumoto

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance from the JR station. Stuffs are very polite and welcoming. The first room that assigned to us had cigarate smell, we went back to the lobby to let the front desk know. They immediately assigned us another room. The twin bedroom was spacious and clean. The public bath was not big, but very comfortable, they also have outdoor bath. The green tea shop next door was a highlight, please don't miss the ice cream there. We enjoyed our stay in Matsumoto. We will surely be back.

Second stay and so glad to be back! Simple hotel has everything you need and access to the extra things one might think of. I came back specifically because the rooftop onsen is so nice! Plenty of room (indoor and outdoor baths) with the outdoor one giving a clear view of the sky above. Being able to do laundry for free is super convenient and the efficiency of having this up in the onsen area makes it even easier - throw laundry on and then relax for half an hour while clothes are washing! Complimentary icecream after baths feels deluxe and is a great chance to try the different flavours! Microwave makes breakfast easy in the morning and the hotel generally feels safe given it was predominantly locals rather than pushy tourists. Staff are super friendly and helpful with recommendations and luggage forwarding.

A reasonably priced hotel with amenities that extend beyond its price point. Free washing machines (with a minimally priced dryer) and an onsen with refreshments. Close to main attractions and the station/bus terminal.

Great location near station. Clean and quiet. Spacious, clean public bath with outdoor area and very hot (good) sauna. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Another good stay at a Dormy Inn. We stayed for 1 night. ||Hotel was in a great location. Easy walk from the station, about 5 minutes. The hotel is about 15 minute walk from the Castle. They had a good public bath - male / female split.||Room - small, functional, and clean. Perfect for 1 night.||Breakfast - as with most Dormy Inns we have stayed at breakfast was average.

We stayed one night at this Dormy Inn and it was good and as expected. The location is excellent with a private parking. The room was simple as expected. The breakfast was OK. The staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient option if you visit Matsumoto.

The room was very cosy . It's just a 5 min walk from the station. What I liked the most is the public onsen on the 9th floor. There is separate bath for men and women . I have enjoyed the onsen after a long time. But it felt like a little hotter .

Dormy inns have their followers. I loved the late night soba and my wife loved their location. Near the station, but not too right on top of the station.
