When I checked in during the Lunar New Year this year, several of the receptionists had no enthusiasm at all. They had no expression on their faces. It’s okay if you don’t understand English and don’t want to communicate with foreigners, but don’t show your shitty face to the customers. If you don’t want to work in the service industry, please go home, I stay several dormy inn before, this is the worst experience I had. On the other hand, if u gonna request late check out fee is fine, it depends on different hotel, I respect. BUT, u only write 1000¥ per hour on Agoda, didn’t mention 1000¥ is PER PERSON PER HOUR, even on ur official website, we didn’t find this policy, when I let u show me ur policy at reception, ur staff acted like don’t know what I’m talking about, even I show her Japanese on google translate. Location and Convenience are good, just their service attitude just like sb force them to work🙂

This place delivered the usual Dormy Inn experience I came to like, a business hotel with a nice artificial onsen and free noodles at night. Rooms here are on the smallish side though, even by Japanese standards. There is parking available on site for 1000 yen per night, in an elevator-style parking tower. A reservation for the parking seems not to be possible, so first come, first serve. The parking is located to the right side of the main entrance. Would definitely staying again if the price is right. However, the Candeo next door has a similar concept and is more modern with a much nicer public bath on the top floor with awesome city views, so if priced similarly I would pick the Candeo over the Dormy Inn.

This hotel is a bit old but meets the standards expected of a dormy inn. There's free ice cream and soba at night. The public bath is decent but is not spring water.

We checked in 12/1, check out 12/2. We took streetcar from train station. |It is located in Chinatown, easy to walk around. And there is airport bus stop nearby.|The room is small as usual in Japan. |We do appreciate the the onsen spa and ramen in the evenings.

Amazing place, great location, professional staff. Clean and quiet. The public bath is something OUT OF THIS WORLD, and also working overnight, simply amazing!!

Hotel is located near a lot if restaurants. However the front desk refused to make restaurants reservations for me. There are carparks available but MPVs cannot fit into it.

very nice and cozy hotel in chinatown Nagasaki. Just 1 min opposite to tram stop and 3 min to airport bus stop. They provide warm pool, warm ramen bowl, ice popsicle, drinks to all the guests for free. Really enjoying my stay here now.

Yelp
Had a wonderful stay at Dormy Inn Nagasaki. This hotel is conveniently located right across Shinchi Chinatown. 4 minutes walk to tram station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room comes with two bottles of water and free treat of apple jelly dessert. Free Yakult in the morning, popsicle in the afternoon, shoyu ramen at night. The public bath area is clean and well kept. Highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Dormy Inn (ドーミーイン) is a chain of business hotels in Japan. They are all very similar to each other, so I apologize for not having photos. They are all in a prime location, and all have a reasonable, mid-range price. Usually they share space with a family mart on their bottom floor, which is extremely convenient. The patrons are primarily Japanese businessmen, which means that they tend to be quiet and pleasant. The staff rarely has good English skills, but they are always very helpful. They have helped us before with a rental car problem, which I consider to be above and beyond the typical hotel staff service. Free onsen (public bath) at every location, usually free ramen, and a reasonably priced breakfast. The free ramen is basically just so that you don't go to bed hungry, so low quality. There is also usually a low-cost walk-in massage parlor. They always have on-site coin-operated laundry. The wash machine is free, while drying is paid. Usually there's a vending machine for the soap, and every other floor has a set of vending machines for pay TV cards, beer, coffee, snacks, etc. There are microwaves on alternate floors as well. Nagasaki's Dormy Inn is next to the Chinatown. The breakfast even has some Chinese items. The parking uses a parking elevator. The onsen is a little bit better than other Dormy Inn locations; the lockers are PIN operated instead of keyed as in other Dormy Inns. The room is typical for Japan, meaning small by Western standards, but completely livable. The room includes a TV, water boiler, hair dryer, and empty mini-fridge. There is free internet, but it is wired-only, so you will need a real laptop and software like Connectify to setup your own WiFi hotspot, or a mini router. They may also have a small, not very useful, room safe. For international travelers, bring a power strip (and the appropriate converter; Americans need one that removes the grounding pin). There aren't enough plugs to charge all of your electronics. If you travel with two phones, a rented WiFi hotspot, a tablet, and a camera, like I do, a power strip will simplify your life. Using a power strip also simplifies packing (just pack the strip with everything connected) and prevents you from forgetting a charger. They will do package receiving, even before your stay. We ordered more than a dozen packages, and brought them directly to our room. They also can ship your luggage to any other hotel using the Yamato shipping service, which is quite useful if you don't want to carry something around with you. Be sure to have the business card of the hotel, since many cities have more than one Dormy Inn, and your taxi driver may take you to the wrong one at your expense.
