Dorsett Gold Coast

We had a wonderful stay at the Dorsett in Broadbeach and would happily return. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between comfort, style, and ease, exactly what you want for a relaxing Gold Coast getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth and welcoming. The rooms are modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable beds and beautiful views that make it easy to unwind. The air‑conditioning is excellent (a blessing in the February heat), and the overall atmosphere is calm and quiet despite being in such a central location. The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths. You can walk to the beach, great cafés, restaurants, and the Broadbeach markets, and Pacific Fair is just across the road. It made our days effortless, no long travel, no stress, just gentle, enjoyable exploring. The pool area is lovely too - clean, well‑kept, and perfect for cooling off on hot afternoons. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the hotel feels very well run. Bar staff were the weakest part of the stay Overall, the Dorsett made our trip easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. It’s a fantastic base for anyone wanting good food, low‑impact activities, and a comfortable stay in the heart of Broadbeach. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at the Dorsett Gold Coast. The hotel was beautiful and facilities were great. Wish we had better weather to enjoy the pool. We got the executive room and enjoyed the benefits of the executive lounge. Canapés and drinks for sunset and breakfast at sunrise. The room was fantastic and the bed was comfortable. The only issue we had was that the battery for the card reader on the door went flat. But the team were so quick to act and got the door open for us. The staff were lovely and accommodating. Would highly recommend staying here.

The Dorsett Hotel has an amazing location, just an easy walk to the beach and local cafés, which made our stay incredibly convenient. The pool was a real highlight, offering fantastic views over Broadbeach city, and we also loved that you can use The Star Hotel pool as well. The rooms are stylish, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable, and I also loved their sustainability initiative. The Casino Harvest Restaurant and Uncle Su at The Star Hotel are both within easy walking distance, which was absolutely perfect for us. We booked a quick, last-minute night away and ended up having an exceptional stay. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for six nights over New Years and we just loved our stay and extended a couple nights! The hotel itself feels so brand new, trendy, but also SO comfortable, we also loved the electronic blinds. We had two rooms, one a city/ocean view and one river/ hinterland view. I can’t pick a better one, whichever room view you get it’ll be great! We loved the proximity to Pacific Fair, the restaurants part of the casino, proximity to the beach and a beautiful walk to Surfers Paradise. If you have a chance, the Executive buffet breakfast space is lovely. The Harvest breakfast buffet was great too! Special shout out to Jane for going above and beyond for us. And to the housekeeping team keeping our room spotless through our visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed at Dorsett Gold Coast for a family trip and booked two Deluxe Twin Rooms. We were a bit disappointed to learn that this room type cannot be arranged as connecting rooms, which would have been more convenient for us. Aside from that, the overall stay was pleasant. The rooms were clean and the size was comfortable for our needs. The highlight of our stay was definitely the swimming pool. It was perfect for enjoying water play with the kids, and we loved being able to swim both at night and early in the morning. The pool hours 6am-9pm were incredibly useful for our family. There was a small issue after checkout, but the hotel handled it quickly and professionally, which we really appriciated. One thing I feel is worth mentioning is the difference in freindliness among the reception staff. While two team members were warm and welcoming, one staff member’s noticeably indifferernt attitude made us feel a bit uncomfortabel. It reminded me how much a single interaction can shape the overall impression of a hotel. I hope this feedback can be taken as an opportunity for improvement, as the rest of our experience was lovely. Overall, we had a good stay and especially enjoyed the pool facilities.

Great location, big room, friendly genuine service from reception. I met with Oriana who was really nice and easy to deal with. Room was spacious and I had great views of the pool. The room TV would not connect to the iPhone despite multiple attempts. I read the instructions and still failed. In other hotels it is far more intuitive. I felt embarrassed to ask for help in case it was simply my fault but it should be easier and I suspect I wouldn’t have been the first person to have failed….other than that the shower was awesome and large enough for 3 people…( not tested ) (unfortunately)…. I will return.

Great hotel in good location with a relaxed and modern vibe. Stayed in deluxe panoramic twin room which was spacious with a huge bathroom and balcony. Good cocktails and yummy food poolside and the little cafe off the lobby does great coffee, banana bread and fruit toast. Unfortunately I booked the bed & breakfast package and the breakfast was over at The Star Buffet, which was AWFUL. Thankfully the Dorsett Hotel Manager gave me vouchers for the little cafe as there was no way we could endure that experience more than once.

I am a member with Dorsett, unfortunately I book through another means who provide "free cancellation" up to 24hrs before. Dorsett either don't provide that or charge alot more for it. I asked if I could use my membership to simply acrue the points as I was paying the hotel direct, this was declined. Our stay was lovely and staff were good. Rooms are basic but nice.
