Dorsoduro 461

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this charming Venice B&B. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet, but convenient to the sites, public transportation, and great restaurants. The breakfast was delicious, and Francesco and Georgiana we the most gracious of hosts. If I was traveling to Venice again I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Off the beaten track, this lovely b&b is located in a captivating Venetian neighborhood.Far from noisy San Marco you can get a taste of true local life, enjoy quite strolls by the canals and discoverer lovely cafe and ostrerias.||Hosts Georgiana and Francesco are friendly yet discreet. They provided great information prior arrival regarding parking, how to get there etc. During our stay they made sure rooms were clean and super tidy & they prepared for us a hearty breakfast with local cheese, cold cuts and eggs!||Rooms are sunny, just the right size, with renovated bathroom, equipped in a very smart way and furnished with lovely Venetian antiques. Windows have view to a lovely street and an art school.||We stayed in this charming place for 3 night during carnival and it was our haven after our long days of walking and exploring Venice.

We spent 2 nights in this lovely old Venetian home and it was a wonderful and quiet place to come home to after the hustle and bustle of sightseeing. Georgina was an amazing hostess and prepared wonderful breakfasts for us in her dining room full of books and charming touches. She also helped us with our itinerary and how to navigate the ferry system, especially saving us valuable time on our last day in order for us to enjoy a gondola ride before our deparature. Our beds were comfy and we had a large airy room overlooking a school courtyard. Our only regret, is that we couldn't stay longer!

I have seen many Hotels and B&Bs in Venice, but this one is very special. You feel at home at once. The owners are the most lovley people you coud wish and always helping to make your stay the most enjoyable. You will not find a better breakfast (the scrambled eggs are already famous) and the rooms are elegant decorated, quiet and do have all you need. I can only recomend this B&B!

We spent three nights at this small B&B, located in a delightfully calm section of Dorsoduro, a world away from the throngs in Piazza San Marcos. The place is a five-minute walk from the Zattere stop for Alilaguna boats from the airport, made even easier by ramps over the two small canals that have to be crossed. Georgiana is a friendly and helpful hostess who offers up a hearty breakfast (eggs, ham and cheese) in addition to cereals and the usual morning drinke. She also helped line up supper reservations for us, suggesting one local osteria that was a real find. With just three rooms in Dorsoduro 461, you have quiet morning conversations with other visitors, too. Highly recommended. (Note: rooms are on the third floor with no elevator; this is a small, private home, so pack lightly!)

It is just what it says: a B&B. But it is also a place that retains the feel of a Venetian home. Hotels are all alike but places like this give you a chance to have a feel for the city itself, something quite important in a touristy destination such as Venice.||||The room was perfect. The breakfast was great, not a busy and noisy hotel breakfast but one with friendly service, good food and a comfortable, familiar atmosphere.

This bed & breakfast is in a great location. The room was comfortable and our host was so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was yummy and she even accommodated our early schedule one morning. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Dorsoduro 461 was just pleasant. The B&B is very well located in a beautiful and quiet street. The room was nice and clean. The owners were helpful and uncomplicated. I would definitely recommend this place.
