Just skip this place. Drove four hours from Minneapolis for Nicaraguan food. This place was horrible. I knew things were bad when they brought the corn chips and ketchup like salsa. Central America restaurants don't serve corn chips. Many things on the menu were not available. I ordered Vigoron, a classic Nicaraguan dish with chicharones, yuca and a cabbage salad. The chicharones were the American "pork rind" snacks you buy at a grocery store in the chip isle. It was an insult to be served the food. If you have ever had real, fresh chicharones, you understand. The person eating with me is from Nicaragua, was appalled by what the supposed "nacatamal" was like that they were served. It was missing traditional ingredients and was just bad.
If you want good, authentic Nicaraguan food, go to La Marimba in Hillsboro, WI.
