Dos Palmas Island Resort & Spa looks like a serene paradise, perfect for a peaceful getaway. With its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and relaxing ambiance, it feels like an escape from the busy world. I can imagine lounging by the shore, feeling the soft breeze, and taking in the stunning ocean views. The island setting makes it even more special—ideal for snorkeling, kayaking, or just unwinding under the sun. Whether for adventure or relaxation, this resort seems like the perfect place to recharge and enjoy nature’s beauty. Definitely a dream destination!

We took a day tour since Dos Palmas is currently not accepting bookings for overnight stay. Boat trip from the wharf to the island took almost an hour. The place still looked great. The sea was calm, the island was quiet. Such a tranquil and relaxing experience. The resort will soon undergo renovations as it has been severely damaged by a recent typhoon.

Hats off to the staff for making our family vacation memorable. This island's a paradise. From the welcome drinks to the free snorkeling activity and the extraordinary firedance, everything was a bliss. I just hope they pay more attention to the towels which are in dire need of changing and the small repairs that need to be done in the bathrooms. The restaurant staff could be more attentive and prompt to the needs of the customers. Overall, this is a good place for families. When booking, please ask for the boat departure time to the island itself. We waited for at least an hour and a half. If your flight back to Manila is still at 4p, you still need to leave the island in the morning. Their boat departures have limited schedules.

I would say that it’s a must to spend some nights here when visiting Palawan. It’s a lovely place and you can really relax while being here. After a 1h 20 min boat ride you arrive to the island greeted by the staff playing a welcome song for you. The service was excellent all the time as everyone was friendly and helpful. There are lots of things to do for free such as snorkeling, basketball, tennis, pool and table tennis. There are sunbeds both by the pool and on the beach. The water temperature in the sea is soooo nice and there’s a rich maritime life which you can explore by just walking around in the water. They are also arranging free snorkeling tours by a reef just outside the island.||The rooms feels pretty old but they are quite clean which is the most important thing for me. There are four rooms in each building, two on the ground floor and two on the upper floor, and we weren’t disturbed at all by any neighbors.||The food in the restaurant was good, they served a la carte for lunch and buffet or a la carte for dinner. The prices were OK when considering that you are on a island, they could have charged more as you don’t have much of a choice. One suggestion is to bring some snacks to the island if you like to have something in between the meals. The only negative thing I can think of is that the wifi is very slow so don’t expect to stream anything from here, for example a movie in the evening or anything like that. On the other hand, who needs wifi when being in this paradise?||I would warmly recommend a stay and the only regret we have is that we only stayed for 2 nights. We would have wanted to stay 4 nights instead.

This is the place if you want total relaxation and chilling out. An hour boat ride from Honday Bay wharf, resort welcomes you with music, lei-like native necklaces and refreshments. Rooms are good (ours was the Executive one which was huge) and breakfast was superb. However, be ready to spend on your lunch and dinner meals as these are not included on the accommodation. Wonder if they can offer an all-inclusive package in the future. Overall, the resort needs updating but still offers a nice experience for its customers.

I had the happiest time of my life here at this resort. The staff at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful. I became friends with them at the end! Reasonable price for the food! I love their Mango mint slushie so much. The room we stayed at was a bit far and old, but I'm okay with it because I spent most of my time outside! You can do lots of activities there including snorkeling, scuba diving, and kayaking. The beach and the water is so clean that you can see reef sharks all the time and sometimes you'd see stingray. It's quite windy during winter but not everyday. You need to expect the island hopping trip would be canceled anytime due to strong wind. Btw if you wanna do snorkeling, do it in the early morning at 8!! The water is most calm and clear until 10 am!!

It was our second time to visit the last time was Dec 2015. It was nice that we stayed in a newly renovated room ;-) but they still need to do a lot of maintenance especially with the pool algae all over, showers aren’t working and a lot of cracks on the sides where you walk that if you accidentally step on them it can cut your feet but the service still great! The menu in the restaurant still the same. On our second day I wasn’t feeling well and I want to take a nap but I heard a lot of noises in the next room, I called the front desk but she said that we are the only one checked in at the building so I walked out and check it out and I saw 4 staff came out of the room laughing so hard but they are not the house keeping staff but anyway another thing was when we went to the spa. Three of us will have the massage, we went in the room and the therapist asked as to undress but they never leave the room 3 of them watching us getting undress and same thing after the massage they never left the room and watched us get dressed. Massage is good though but still they have to give their clients some privacy, they did massage our faces and head with oil and they didn’t even bother giving us towels to wipe the oil off or even offer a glass of water. The service at the spa was totally different when I visited in 2015. I only saw two bikes but also not in a good shape anymore. Good thing that the staff is so accommodating. I hope you will continue doing a good maintenance in the resort. Fix the bridges and the huts by the mangroves. But probably will still come back and hoping that the place will look so much better on our next visit!

Yelp
Whoa...This is a true island paradise. I found this resort by using Yelp. Thanks again Yelpers for leading me in the right direction. I guess I hadn't really done my complete research on this place because I didn't know that we were going to a totally secluded island resort. We took a plane, then a 40 minute van ride, then a 1 hour boat ride. The journey there is part of the fun. Here are some things you might want to know when you are traveling to Dos Palmas Isand Resort and Spa: *There is an older man on the boat ride to the island who will make things out of palm fronds and he will give them to you. He will not ask for money or tips but just know that he is doing this for tips. This is probably the only payment he will receive for being on the boat, helping you get on and off the boat and helping you with your life jacket. Please tip him! *There are no outside amenities on this island. No shops to purchase resort wear, no vendors selling outside food or trinkets, no stores selling food or drinks. (There is a VERY small gift shop that sells a couple of things.) I would recommend bringing a few snack items to have in your room. *If I came here again, I would bring a few inflatable pool tubes. I thought they might sell them here, but they don't. *The only wifi is in the restaurant. It is terrible! I wouldn't plan on using your phone or ipad while you are here. I couldn't get a wifi connection the entire time we were here. *The one and only restaurant has a rather limited menu but we found the food to be quite good. Aside from the pizza, everything else we ordered surpassed our expectations. The breakfast buffet is included in the price of your room...this was also quite good. *They have free coffee and tea available all day. *The rooms are nice and quiet. We could not hear any of our neighbors. we enjoyed our stay at Dos Palmas and we would not hesitate to stay here again. We were here at the end of March and it wasn't tourist season yet. The weather was perfect and the resort wasn't crowded.

Yelp
Wow, an island of fun, good food, beach and sun. A very good place to escape from the grid (no TV or internet). Slow internet is not considered on the grid IMO. They have tons of options in activities: island hopping, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding. They also have lap pool and a regular swimming pool. The water in their pool is seawater. They have a full size basketball court where you can play with the staff who stays in the island. They have karaoke rooms, pool table, foosball, table tennis, and a tennis court. Food is also without a question, enjoyable. But we find Sheridan's food better in terms of flavor. Everyone here is nice, service is excellent. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away from technology. My only gripe is the unnecessary island orientation when you first arrive. They'll hand out the schedule of activities. Unless you're really that dumb, the orientation wasn't needed, it was rather time consuming coz they wont start unless every guest are present.

Yelp
This is my review for all inclusive day trip to the resort only. We did not stay at the resort. We took a day trip from Puerto Princess a for 1800 peso per person or about $35 USD. The trip includes a boat ride from Puerto Princess a port to the island, lunch, and all island activities. The boat ride is about 40 minute. The resort is very beautiful with nice clear water beaches. They have several pools and cabana along the beach. Lunch is 5 courses including seaweed salad, chicken adobo, soup, vegetible dish and deserts. For deserts, ube, cheese cakes and chocolates, halo halo... are very delicious! There are many activities here... Bike ride around the island, ping pong table, football table, kayaking, snorkeling or just lounging by the pool! Overall, it is well worth $35 day trip!

Yelp
Ok this place is a most of you're traveling in the area. It's perfect for those who just want to get away and relax. The beaches and pools aren't crowded great for chilling. The staff here is above amazing! Super friendly and very soft when you request something. They have a private beach they go to one a day from 10am-12pm perfect for pictures and snorkeling. The place also has a great restaurant and bar . The villas are very spacious and perfect for those who need to just disconnect from the outside world. Definitely will be back on my next trip.

Yelp
I recommend the basil mint foot scrub at the spa. If it rains ponchos or umbrellas are provided. The boat back to the mainland leaves at 6:00 (requires transfer by motorboat because of low tide) and 9:00 am. They will serve lunch at a cabana if you order it. We dived as well as kayaked.

Yelp
Spent 3 days here at this very secluded island resort. It is a 30 min van ride from thr airport to the wharf and another 1 hour boat ride to the island so make sure you take the earlier flight because the last boat ride in is 4pm sharp. Staff there is extremely friendly from the van ride to the boat ride to the hotel staff. This place is world apart from manila. Its clean, fresh and quiet. When you get tocthe island they give you a 10 min orientation, but dont worry the island isnt that big at all. Listed below are the things i liked and the things i didnt like about the hotel. Pros: 1. The rooms are quiet 2. White sand beaches and crystal clear water. 3. The amount of marine life in the water is amazing from the black tipped shark to rays to fishes of all sizes swimming around you 4. Many activities are included in the price such as kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, boat ride to a secluded island and many others 5. Inclusive breakfast 6. The lack of guests 7. Pool overlooking the beach 8. Customer service of the staff 9. Complimentary unlimited coffee 10. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks 11. Staff refills your water bottles for you 12. Area to play basketball, tennis, even a video karaoke area. Table tennis, billiards and darts 13. Massage 14. RN and a small clinic on site if needed Cons: 1. Theres only one restaurant. So breakfast, lunch and dinner are all there 2. Only wifi at the restaurant, none in the rooms 3. Service for food is slow so make sure your not starving when you order 4. Food items are limited 5. Lack of a television in the room 6. Power and water goes down twice a day. 11-12 and 4pm-5pm which is highly inconvenient. Make sure you dont poop btwn those times. 7. Bathrooms had a lot of ants everywhere. And the toilets flushing abilities are weak 8. Back patio/lounging area is not private but more on the communal side 9. Water around the mangroves are stagnant and smells bad Overall the views and water is just stunning. Theres only about 64 rooms on the island. But maybe half of them were used, really lending to a secluded and exclusive. Great place to relax for 3-4 days but not too many days because you may run out of things to do

Yelp
Stayed for three days , two nights here with my family of 17 pax 2 weeks ago. And I would say, the free bfast buffet has good choices. The all day menu has a good variety of choices too. My husband and I had a two night massage experience at the spa, and it is worth it! Over all, the value for money is good. They have vest, activities, and other things for all ages. We all did enjoy our stay! Our exclusive by the beach family dinner is awesome too. The nature is breath taking. The only bad thing I have in mind is that, when they sprayed anti mosquito before we came in, the housekeeping did not checked if our restroom was clean. But, it was just one room though, with all the rooms weoccupied. They do not have bikes for smaller kids, or a pedicab which we hope they do have. The rooms are old, but, somehow kept by management. Other than that, everything is great!
