perfect little oasis in a courtyard! :) lots of small tables and great coffee! a few more breakfast options would be amazing, but with quality like this, you don't miss it

Dose is an excellent specialty cafe and a great morning stop on. We ordered their breakfast formule, which came with apple juice and half a baguette with butter and raspberry jam. I skipped the butter, but the jam and bread were fantastic, and the apple juice was fresh and delicious. We also ordered an oatmilk cortado and a latte. While the art wasn't incredible, the foam was good and the drinks were delicious. I recommend this spot highly as one of the best, coziest specialty cafes to visit.

I’ve comes three times in the past week. The matcha is delicious, their coffee is great! Pastries aren’t my favorite but they’re ok. In terms of prices I find fairly priced. The concept of ordering outside and then finding a table if you wanna stay is convenient. Nice place to read or study, however, be careful, their free wifi access is for a limited amount of time which can be annoying if you wanna stay long. The staff is cordial and young. Simple yet warm and cozy decoration! Plan on keep coming for their delicious hot drinks 🙌🏽

A good coffeeshop located in such a pretty area of Paris. It’s usually quiet which is pleasant and you can work on your laptop in there. The latte taste amazing and the pastries served as well. The prices are great. So if you want your little escape in La rue Mouffetard you’ll have to stop here.

Despite the fact that Parisians are well known for cafe culture, the coffee isn’t particularly good in most places. But this place is REALLY good. Very small and the seats are under an old stone arch so it feels cozy and interesting. Highly recommend this place.

Discovered this little gem whilst staying in the 5th in Paris! Flat white is absolutely delicious- even comes with coffee art! The brownies and other snacks look delicious although I haven’t tried them. To have a great coffee is worth every Penny in Paris! Definitely try Dose if you’re near the Pantheon or Rue moufetard or the Sorbonne.

I visited the cafe on a Friday morning to find a place to work on my computer. They don't have any problems with that, and even have free wifi, which was hard to find for Paris. The coffee was okay. Not the best I've ever had but the overall vibe was good. It was situated in a neighbourhood with many restaurant and shops too, so it was not too far to go if u got hungry and want to look for a meal later.

Really cute place tucked away in the Latin quarter. Came on a Sunday and tried the avocado toast (w/ soft boiled eggs&tomatoes) which comes with a salad. The products are fresh and of great quality. Don't skip out on the coffee either - it's superb!! Note: brunch starts @12

After visiting a bunch of touristy sites, we made a stop here for a much needed coffee break. They're located on Rue Mouffetard, one of the oldest streets in Paris. There's many restaurants around here that you can check out. I got an iced latte and enjoyed it as well took a short break. They also provide free in-store wifi so you can save on your data plan while browsing the internet. The vibe was a bit disturbed by the loud construction happening on Rue Mouffetard, so you might hear some of that if they're still working on it.

This is my second time at this cafe and it's a wonderful little spot to stop for coffee. Their soy latte is smooth and creamy with the perfect amount of foam. I'm allergic to dairy & the last time I came here I splurged on a buttery croissant... so worth the misery that soon followed. But this place is great and I recommend their coffee, pastries and juices.

The best cafe latte, delicious fresh orange juice, pain at chocolat and the cutest egg coccette! Pancakes were pretty good. Will have to come another time when they have quiche available to try

The best coffee I've had in my time at Paris, plus a really good onion and cranberry quiche. The unique outdoors seating with nice pillows and wifi is really nice as well.

I do not know if we were there on the wrong day or just too late in the morning (around 9:30) but they did not have much to choose from--pain au chocolat, citron cake, scone, brownies, and croissant. We were ok with it but we were expecting a little more. We do not drink coffee so we ordered hot chocolate and that was delicious--a rich, dark chocolate flavor that paired very well with the croissant.

A dealer of coffee? Yes! I need one! Slipped in here after having missed my yoga class. So officially gone over to the dark side! After having overdosed on two Pinterest-perfect cups of cappuccino I decided to also order their breakfast (by now brunch..) offer. Three hours later I still haven't left. A girl next to me is playing on an imaginary piano and looking in her music, a pair of best friends are gushing their hearts out and people sit with books, calendars and daydreams. This is a great place for sitting alone. Or to hide. To make a plan. Or to overdose of coffee. Or to flirt. The cafe version of a bar. PS. The tartine is delish! The music is great /energetic but soft! PS2. Still haven't left.....

FINALLLLLY. A great mug of coffee. Wait. Yes. I said it... MUG... like BIG CUP. We each ordered a cafe au lait with 2 espresso shots. Yes. Oh yes. Thank you, DOSE. This is our 3rd Visit to Paris and having great coffee is an elusive one to get. FINALLLLY. A great mug of coffee. Yes. I'm saying it again. MUG of great coffee!

They prepare THE COFFEE you may be searching for across Paris. Until you get to this rather hidden place, you may get other cups with comsi comsa taste and double and higher price. Then you arrive to this caffeine oases and order their fine cappucino, then another, in my case). The environment is very simple and tiny, while often being crowded, though it all feels cozy, also thanks to their very friendly staff.

I have been searching and searching for a Parisian cafe to call my own, and I am proud to say that 'Dose' is the one. It's situated on the lovely rue Mouffetard, and provides ample seating and outlets in the humble space. Baristas are extremely nice, pastries are fresh, and soy lattes are outstanding! It's also extremely convenient how you don't pay until you are ready to leave. My love for Dose knows no bounds!

We were in Paris, in the left bank, 3 1/2 months ago. Both I and my wife are fans of "high end" coffee. I did some research, when we were there a little over a year ago, and found Dose. Their coffee is up to our high standards, and their pastries are terrrific. They were only a 5 minute walk from our hotel, and we spent most morning there. Highly recommended.

Will come back for coffee here. Cakes and juices are fresh. All is delicious.. Reasonable price, good environment , good services. For sure will come back.

What a gem! In my endless quest for coffee on the level of Brooklyn back home in New York I was fortuitous to stumble upon this stroke of genius. The latte and chocolat chaud were rich, velvety in texture and impressively/artfully poured. The chocolate noir walnut cookie was a nice not overly sweet delight topped with a touch of brown sugar. The staff is super welcoming as they will take your coat for you and the seating is conducive to both studying/working or chatting with friends. It is tucked in a cobblestone sidestreet and the exposed stone architecture and modern lighting and comfortable couches coalesce for an inviting atmosphere. I will definitely be back. They offer almond and soy milk which is a huge plus for those who are allergic or vegan.

FINALLY. A small, home roasted, delicious, latte place in Paris. I have found very few excellent places in Paris to yelp about their latte greatness and this is probably my second favorite coffee shop shop. When we walked in here it was 3 of us, it was pretty empty, as we cam in right around opening time. The place is a bit tight for sitting or hanging out in a group, but nothing we couldn't squeeze into. We each ordered an espresso drink, mine was a cafe latte. Mine was one of the best lattes I have ever had in Paris. They also offer a brunch type option on weekends which you can get a fresh squeezed juice, bread or pastry of choice and a coffee drink of your choice for one price. It is really a great deal. If i remember correctly it was something around 8 euros. Ideally if you are interested in this deal, come early (opening to about 10/11am), as once the fresh pastries, and breads run out or its 10am, you will have no choice but to pay per item with barely any choices left. The fresh squeezed juice was also one of my favorite things here. Dose was a small, cozy and bright space that had an amazing coffee aroma and fresh fruit available. This is my 3rd visit to Paris and it took me that long to find this place. You would never see it if you weren't looking for it. It's location is obscure, but not impossible to find. The closest metro is the Place Monge stop off the pink line 7. There are a couple windy streets that are in the area but its a nice walk with shops and stuff to see before reaching the coffee shop. Overall this was a great place, loved the atmosphere, loved the espresso and loved the brunch deal. I will back next time I am in Paris for sure.

nice staff, cosmopolitan atmosphere, and a good place for some laptop work (on weekends it's busy and they turn the wifi off though). Also, the coffee is top quality, something that I found quite lacking in other Paris venues. Amazing that the French don't do coffee well... But anyway, excellent coffee here.

I really like this place. Great coffee, super friendly staff, and delicious treats (I would highly recommend the dark chocolate brownies- super fudge-y and delicious). I had to take off one star because they no longer carry almond milk :( Otherwise, this place is awesome.

I went to Paris thinking I could find a great cappuccino or latte on every corner. This wasn't the case, except for at Dose. One of the best lattes I've ever had, paired with a great pain au chocolat, and along with a very courteous and polite waiter. It's also nestled on a quiet street, with a very quaint patio seating arrangement as well, making it a nice place to relax before getting into the hustle of the city. I really was impressed with their coffee game at Dose. I just can't figure out why a lot of the other Parisian coffee shops have decided to add, like an extra cup of milk to their lattes? Either way, this will be my first stop the next time I'm in Paris!

Paris, as always you give mixed signals. No, I'm not talking about the beautiful buildings covered in graffiti, or the old cobbled streets littered with cigarette butts, or the mother and child sleeping in front of a shop offering the most amazing gelato outside of Florence. I'm talking about coffee. Sometimes we're served fabulous coffee in a demitasse. But we've also been served bitter or weak coffee served . . . in a cheap, clear plastic cup. And sometimes the coffee and hot cocoa are secreted out of a machine with the push of a button; it was so Jetsons. A coffeebot! Paris, you know how much I love you but you confound me sometimes. Thank goodness for Dose. As another reviewer pointed out, Dose feels like a coffee shop in San Francisco. Everything we ordered was good; coffee, decaf, latte, and hot cocoa. Made by humans and served in sturdy ceramic or a to-go cup. The staff was always friendly and helpful (and helped me with my horrific French), and the prices are reasonable. Most of all, I liked that I could shuffle in and order just a coffee, even to go; I didn't have to order coffee with my breakfast. Maybe I didn't explore enough, but Starbucks was the only other true coffee shop we found. Extra points for covered, outdoor seating. We loved sitting in the breezeway on a very rainy day, watching the people on Rue Mouffetard rushing to their breakfast coffee served in a plastic cup.

Perfect location. Great outdoor view. Small and comfy place ideal for working. No wonder it's full of students. Not over priced. The quiche is amazing! So is the salmon sandwich. A must visit! Oh and very friendly staff!

This is a nice place to sit and relax. Came here after lunch with my mother. We had tea, coffee, and fresh squeezed orange juice - all great! They have wifi and electrical outlets to charge phones, great for international travelers.

Really nice & cozy coffeeshop with a little outdoorsy area in the covered alleyway. My friend and I both got teas and they were delicious. We also shared the toasted bagel which was also pretty decently priced and tasted great. Would definitely be back!

Really tasty coffee in a nice, modern cafe in the Latin Quarter. Espresso for 2€ (1.50€ for takeaway) is very nice. Americanos are 3€, and you can specify how much water you want in them, too. Only one type of bean for espresso coffees, but it's very nice. The staff is very friendly and speak enough English that you can have a good conversation. The music and ambiance is very nice. All around great cafe, and I would recommend it!

If you are in this neighborhood, you are lucky: you have a great place to get coffee drinks, tea and juices, to go as well as to stay. I went here for first time this morning after realizing that the cafe I had first gone to charged 6€ for a café crême. I went to Dose instead and got a much larger, and probably much better, latte at 4€. They have free wifi too, and the service is friendly and unobtrusive. It's the best if both worlds, US and France, great coffee at good prices, a place to sit and work without being troubled. I love it that you can get it to go--the American in me wants to tote my coffee or tea around for a long time. What a great find! The juices are freshly juiced too--it smells so good in there!

Superb location, small and cozy, excellent playlist (it's a constant Shazam-ing here), free-refill lemon water and a collection of teas to leaf through. Staff friendly and cute. Welcoming atmosphere. If you manage to get a nice spot it's ideal to work, study, draw for hours on end.

I've been here twice now, and I really love the small coffee shop feel (and that free wifi). It's in a quiet quarter, one that'd be good to wander about after your cup of coffee. Loved the coffee and the little snacks like quiches, muffins and assorted pastries that go with it. Friendly service and lovely designs on the tops of your coffee.

This is a nice third-wave coffee shop (they apparently roast their own beans), and the coffee was excellent. They may get their beans from Sweet Marias; at least, they have something from the SF-based distributor on the wall. However, contrary to other reviews, I was told there is no wifi when I asked. Other patrons told me they had heard the place has wifi, so maybe the router was just broken on July 7, 2018?

This is such a little cozy cafe! I had such a nice experience there :) the girl who worked morning shifts there was so nice! She really made my day by giving me such a great start of the day! Drinks and food were also great!!! I wish we had something like this in Palo Alto too :(

Delicious cafe filtre. Decent price for a simple breakfast although if you can make your own large filtered coffee at home you're better off, price wise. I'd go to Dose again though for its charm and setting.

Enjoyed a coffee with a friend on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Lovely waiters and a great spot in Paris. Unfortunately there are no seats in the sun (all outside seating is under a little covered area) but it is in a nice area and a prime spot for a Sunday afternoon stroll. Good coffee and tea - we didn't eat anything but the snacks and patisseries looked great! It also has free wifi and saw a couple of people working on their computers so looks like and easy-going place to get some work done.

Found this place in Yelp. Wanted a good espresso near where I was staying during a short holiday in Paris. It is hard to find good, real, strong espresso in this town. Dose does a great job. I came in twice and the quality is consistent. The barista knows what he is doing and they try to please. They offer tap water, have restroom, outdoor seating, and the street is beautiful. Also, they open daily, although they don't start until 9 am. I specifically asked for a short, strong, double espresso (the menu doesn't have ristretto). I was impressed, good volume, body, temperature, flavor, and a lot of crema. May be just a bit on the acidic side. Surprisingly, I was only charged for a single, which motivated me to leave a tip. They deserve it. I highly recommend this place and would visit regularly if I lived in town. They also serve food.

Dose is easily my favorite cafe in Paris. Located on historic Rue Mouffetard, Dose is a great place to grab a delicious cup of filtered coffee on a cold Paris day (or any day for that matter!) They also offer pastries, quiches and all your other coffee favorites. There are tables and bar seats inside, but they also have round tables outside - a great place to people watch and relax. They have free wi-fi and books and magazines you can read. The staff is also very friendly! I highly recommend stopping by Dose if you're looking for a cute cafe and a great cup of coffee!

Very cozy, nice place to sit and work for a few hours. I got a great quiche and a huge (delicious) latte. There are plugs around, though they aren't abundant, so I'd suggest coming with a full battery!

In a city of usually dismal coffee, served in disquietingly similar cafés, Dose is a breath of fresh air. It is a slice of Berlin or San Francisco. The immensely friendly trio of baristas make delicious coffee and tea. The space is modern and elegant, with a few charming eccentricities (suede and canvas cushions, a quirkily lit restroom). I chat with friends here or use my laptop. There is a sturdy and quick internet connection, and of electrical outlets, no shortage.
