This charming hotel is nestled in a tranquil neighborhood of Boston. Conveniently located just 0.1 miles from the JFK/UMass station, it’s well-connected to public transportation. The rooms are spotless and reasonably priced, offering a great value for money. The Hilton brand ensures a sense of security and reliability. However, the service could be improved. Expect a wait time of around an hour for basic room service items like toiletries. On the bright side, the guest care team at the reception is exceptionally attentive. They even surprise you with Walnut cookies when you check in and check out. Don’t miss out on these delightful treats! The breakfast spread is also worth mentioning. For a modest $22 price tag (taxes included), you get an all-you-can-eat buffet that offers a variety of delicious options.

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member for many years, and as such I enjoy staying at different properties across Hilton's portfolio whenever I visit a particular city. This Doubletree was an exception, as I've stayed there a couple times before. I chose this because I had been riding the new MBTA Fall River-New Bedford Line on a Sunday, and with JFK/U-Mass as one of the stops, it was a no-brainer to stay here once more given the convenience.||It was hard to tell whether the place was in need of rehab, as there were parts of the hotel that looked to be in fairly decent shape. Everything worked as designed under Doubletree and Hilton policy. I had checked in and chosen my room the day before arrival, and I was able to go directly to that room with my Digital Key. The room appeared to be spacious, with plenty of room for my belongings. Bathroom had ample counter space and there was no issue with hot water.||One warning I have to the potential customer, and this is one that the hotel can't help but it's something important to think about -- is that the property although isolated without many other businesses around, is under the flight path of planes taking off from Logan Airport. For most of my evening, there was constant airport noise that one might not expect since the hotel is south of downtown and the airport is to the northeast.||Others have complained about the lack of proper food service, and this was true back when I stayed there 15-20 years ago, and it's true today as well. The only semblance of food service is a deli in the corner of the lobby with very limited hours. No sit-down restaurant. Nowadays I never starve, given the online/app services that deliver food from nearby restaurants, and that's exactly what I did. Keep in mind that premium Hilton Honors members get a $18 food credit, but for what??? Without a restaurant serving food, and without a buffet breakfast, how would anyone spend said credit? I was told that it's also good in the market store next to the front desk, but I found those pickings to be poor.||Yes this hotel is convenient to both the MBTA Red Line as well as several MBTA commuter rail lines that stop at JFK/U-Mass station. That is about the most this place has going for it, if you arrive without your own transportation.

There are good things about this hotel, but some others that you should be aware of.| First, the hotel is bright and clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nice and well appointed.| The best thing I like about this hotel is that it is literally five minutes walk to the JFK/UMASS “T” station. |Things that you should know:| - The parking is $26/day. That seems like a lot to me. I’m just a regular person looking to visit the area. Just sayin’…| - There is NO breakfast buffet. If you pay $22/person for breakfast, that just means you have $22 to spend in the café. This is such a nice place, I was expecting the really nice breakfast buffet spread that was shown, especially for $22/person. The food that they served was great, but that’s not what was advertised.| So, a great place to stay with really nice features, but don’t waste your money getting breakfast included in your room. Just go to the cafe and order what you want. Get there early, because there’s a line. | I hope this helps you out. Have an amazingly awesome day!!!

Great experience at this hotel. From check in, to breakfast, to check out 10/10. The staff at the market were also great. The cherry on top was the fruits infused water and the warm cookies they had for guests. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Attended a Women's History Award Ceremony at the Boston Teacher's Union Offices ( around the corner), from the time we checked in the hotel staff- George and security personnel offered a warm greeting. You could feel and appreciate the hospitality after a long train ride from New Jersey. Then to receive warm delicious cookies, that was a special treat. I am a Hilton Honors member for many years and from all of the properties I've stayed, this was the most inviting. We ate breakfast the next morning and it was tasty, however, it didn't beat the hospitality of the woman taking the order is the buffet area. She was very kind and helpful. The housekeeper who serviced our room gave us extra bottles of water after we asked. We do drink a lot of water ; ) | All in all, the staff was amazing! The hotel was impeccably clean and our room had a wonderful aroma. Planning to stay there again on my next visit with family in Boston. Thank you George for the cookies to go for the long train ride back to New Jersey!

First hotel on a 7 days vacation and it’s the most expensive. 270$. Thought the breakfast would’ve be include that price, I was told it wasn’t, there was a package for it, but I wasn’t informed before. 22$ per person. No, Sir. That money could’ve pay for my gas and a better breakfast. So yeah, their location is alright. The room is average compared to the other hotels. WiFi, is almost subscription base. Your first 7 days is free. And then if you want to come back, You better pay up. And then again, maybe if you treat in your person data and become their VIP, the things will be different. So, in conclusion, you paying the room and parking. Everything else is extra $. I understand it is Boston after all. Other wise, the rating would’ve be lower.

Google
Great location and price. Staff was welcoming with great warm cookies and water available. Breakfast was a bit overpriced for what was offered, so I did not eat it and parking was $26 per night. But overall, beautiful place, and great location for all of your boston needs. Oh the beach was directly behind the hotel.

We recently stayed at this wonderful hotel during a trip to Boston, and I have to say, it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived to the day we checked out, everything was just exceptional. It’s not often that a hotel leaves such a lasting impression, but this one absolutely did.||First of all, the hotel itself was beautiful. It had a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the design was modern but still cozy. It was so quiet and peaceful, which really helped us unwind after long days out in the city. You could really tell that the staff cared about providing a great guest experience.||Speaking of the staff, they were absolutely amazing. Every single person we met was kind, professional, and always ready to help. The front desk team was warm and welcoming, the concierge gave us great local tips, and the housekeeping staff kept everything immaculate. We felt taken care of the entire time, and that level of service made a huge difference. Everyone was so friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. You don’t always get that kind of energy in hotels, and it made us feel truly valued as guests.||But honestly, what made our stay truly special was our driver, Sammy. We had the pleasure of meeting Sammy when he drove us from the hotel to the Boston Convention Center, and we still talk about how lucky we were to have met him. Sammy is one of those people who just radiates kindness. From the moment we stepped into the vehicle, he made us feel so safe and comfortable. He was polite, respectful, and his calm presence really stood out. He drove so carefully and attentively that we were able to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.He shared a bit about Boston, asked about our trip, and made the ride feel like we were traveling with a friend. It’s rare to meet someone so naturally kind and thoughtful. It might have been a short drive, but it’s one we’ll always remember. Sammy truly made our time in Boston even better, and we’re so grateful for the care and warmth he showed us.||Thanks to this incredible hotel and the wonderful people who work there, especially Sammy, we had a trip that exceeded every expectation.

Yelp
The Double Tree by Hilton - Bayside was an amazing experience! The Double Tree by Hilton - Bayside is right off of the main road and next to the highway so it was very easy to find. Once on site, I parked and headed inside. The parking area in the front is very small, however, they have a huge parking lot in the parcel right next to them so there is ample parking once you pay for access ($26 per day). Once inside, one rep was checking a customer in while the other rep was guiding a customer through the airport to the pick up area via phone. As such, I waited... Once the guest before me was checked in, it was my turn. My check-in was super easy as I had prepaid everything and completed my online check-in. As the bulk of the work was done, I confirmed my details, paid for parking, and got my key cards and cookies. The common area was very inviting. The space is bright and though it's not super big, the use of space and placement of furniture ensures the space isn't cramped. The elevators are directly to the right of the desk and were very clean as well. Walking into my room was amazing. The room was hugeeeeeeeee and beauty was definitely the goal. Everything was put together so well. The room color, the paintings, the placement of the furniture, the bathroom toiletries, everything was factored in when the blueprint for room presentation was designed. I had no issues at all during my stay. The water was hot, the staff was friendly, the water pressure was amazing, the hotel was quiet, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was all full. My stay at Double Tree by Hilton - Bayside was restful and pleasant. I will definitely stay here again. **Sidenote, though the hotel was amazing, the FRESH Warm Cookies were the highlight of my day. LoL!!!!

Yelp
By far the best customer service I have ever experienced from a Hotel. Every single person was willing to go above and beyond for anything needed. The bartender was fantastic to chat with, and everything from that aspect was great. The only downside, and it's a big one. The bed was the worst hotel bed I've ever been on. It felt like concrete, and was so uncomfortable for a 3 day stay. I don't know that I would return until I knew the beds were replaced. Which is a shame, because this hotel should be a model for customer service and how to run your staff.

Yelp
Everything was great. It was less than a quarter mile from the train and buses. It's right across from 1 of the UMass campuses. Gym was pretty bleak but the staff made up for it. The bar didn't open till later but it is what it is. Rooms were clean. Staff...again were excellent.

Yelp
the staff were really kind and location was very nice and convenient. i appreciated the security downstairs and they really made sure we were safe. there were a few things that made our stay less than favorable. the bed was very uncomfortable and hard to sleep on. the noise was pretty brutal. i consider myself a heavy sleeper but was really struggling to fall asleep and stay asleep without being woken up. the air conditioner was super loud and there was no in between of being super cold or super hot.

Yelp
.2 mile walk to subway 15-20 minute ride into heart of the city. Kamal picked us up from The airport via their shuttle. Absolutely amazing service waited maybe 30 mins for him which was super fast considering it was peak morning traffic on a Tuesday. Checked on bags at their holding facility in the lobby went into the city then came back where Zach did an absolutely amazing job with a slight clerical error we had with our room. He fixed everything quick and easy all while we ate the fresh baked cookies he provided. Lastly Zach went above and beyond again in helping us get directions to take public transport to Salem. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
I liked this hotel, and would stay here again. The prices are fair, and the conditions are better than at other similarly priced hotels. The area around the hotel feels reasonably safe at night. The diverse desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is out of the main congestion of Boston, located near to the U Mass campus. The odd number rooms face the bay and a distant view of the airport. The corner rooms are nice with extra windows. The hotel was clean and the beds were okay. They give you four pillows, when two would be enough. The rooms were reasonably quiet at night. There is a T transit red line station is located about 1 1/2 blocks away. There are many students in the general area (and some in the hotel), A short walk across a parking lot leads to a walking / running trail along the bay. It looks like there is an actual beach about 1/3 mile away. The JFK Library is in the area. The desk staff suggested having pizza delivered from a local restaurant. It was very good. Other less desirable aspects are that there are few businesses located within walking distance from the hotel. The restaurant looks more like a snack bar, and the bar in the lobby is small. If you are seeing tourist sites in Boston you will have to take the T, or drive in competitive Boston traffic. The T will take a short time to reach downtown Boston, and a little further is Harvard Square. Parking cost is $25 a night. There is a big unrelated and usually empty parking lot behind the hotel, and it may be possible to park there for free.

Yelp
Everything from check-in to out! Thanks to my AAA travel agent for this selection! Friendly staff & management. Complimentary airport shuttles to & from Logan Int'l Airport. Tip the hardworking driver & housekeeping staff generously.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the staff, especially the night staff, were professional, friendly and fun. Breakfast was amazing, especially with the 18 dollars a day credit per quest, per day. For Hilton Diamond members that is. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. I didn't enjoy having to pay for parking and I DESPISE the new system of the community bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the rooms. I can't think of a less sanitary situation than sharing bottles with dozens of previous guests. The videos online of the vile things people add to these bottles turn my stomach. It's poor policy in my opinion and this hotel needs to go back to individual little bottles of shampoo and bars of soap. I first noticed this community bottle thing in Europe and I hated it there but never figured anyone would try it in the USA. I was wrong. Please, please, please abandon this communal practice asap.

Yelp
Booked to stay here for the week. Checked in on Monday 12/19 through Friday 12/23. The area doesn't look to appealing when you pulled up. The area outside doesn't look like the best part of town. Parking lot is small. However the staff was friendly. Gave us our warm cookies and a bottle waters. The rooms were decent size (nothing special), had a safe, mini fridge, ironing board, iron. The bathroom is decent size, can use some update. If I come back to Boston, I don't think I'll stay on this side of town again. Thanks

Yelp
I am happy to give this little gem a GREAT Review! I came in on Oct 6th early morning after missing my connecting flight the night before (I was supposed to be in Boston on Oct 5th) The AWESOME Front Office Manager Kym Wilkerson had our room ready and after hearing my horrible experience the night Before (I was on the phone with Hilton for 45 minutes trying to get a new room and cancel the Boston room) and waved the no show fee! INCREDIBLE I went on my New England trip and checked back in Oct 14th. They had no bar tender (bar closed), A nice man on Staff (I believe his name was Jonathan) Opened up the closed bar and our whole tour spent hours drinking and mingling! Hilton he made the right choice you made a killing on Alcohol! Because of the poor service from Hilton the night of Oct 5th I was ready to become a Marriott girl But because of Kym and Johnathan I will happily stay with Hilton!

Yelp
Staff are friendly, helpful, responsive - always smiling. This is one of the better-managed hotels I have visited. Super organized. From the free shuttle from the airport, to the easy check-in, to the good food at the little cafe. I love that you can text your questions and requests via phone and they respond right away! The breakfast buffet didn't look too great but we aren't buffet people anyway.

Yelp
Was stuck at Boston airport during the July 2024 Global IT outage. Flight was cancelled, and I made a reservation at Doubletree Boston Bayside because I thought I would be stuck in Boston for a couple days while the airlines fixed their issues. Flight was miraculously UNcancelled, I called back WITHIN 1 HOUR of making this reservation and told them to cancel it. They refused since it was under 24 hours until my reservation. Tried to work with them and explain the situation - they did not care at all. Got charged in full for this reservation I couldn't use. Called back and asked them to waive the charge as a good will gesture during a travel emergency, they agreed over the phone, but still charged my card and refuse to acknowledge they ever agreed to waive the charges. Lesson here - DON'T EVER STAY AT A DOUBLETREE, OR A HILTON. They don't care about you.

Yelp
This hotel was pretty nice and spacious! We were on the 6th floor. They gave us a free upgrade and that was pretty nice of them. I do not like small hotel rooms as it makes me feel super claustrophobic. It's 6 minutes to a Vietnamese restaurant that I like. I would book here again next time I'm in town. :)

Yelp
Great staff - seriously - whomever did the training deserves a pat on the back. Extremely friendly and helpful. The location does not have much around it in the way of food, but they have a little cafe in the hotel. I just picked this place because it was close to the airport and they have a free shuttle to the airport. Rooms are spacious and the bed was comfortable. Pricing is a bit high, but it's Bahhh-stun. Everything is expensive here!

Yelp
second time ive stayed here, its convenient near the T and has parking. You do have to pay per day. The hotel is clean and no probs. I dont use many amenities or services so i cant speak on that.

Yelp
First of all, shoutout to Gabriella, Miguel the driver, and the tall man who checked me in and out (he was the best and really sweet)and I forgot his name because it's been a week. These three were really great and do not pertain to the following.... First, this hotel has False advertising: says the shuttle will go anywhere online and the app but it doesn't. Only goes to the Convention Center and Airport. When checking in, on 5th floor there were mattresses outside the rooms and it smelled like chemicals like they were fumigating. Bed bug problem? My room had a flying bug in it and also a dead mosquito on the bed. The shuttle Driver on Thursday the 28th at 9am Didn't like we were getting off at South street Station with the workers even though he was going to stop there anyway. They told us the night before that it was OK and which times they were actually stopping there. So he Was super rude to us and would not give us his name. Then we asked when the shuttle ran until and he said, "I don't have to tell you my schedule." Which is not what we asked. Then my friend coughed and he said "I'm gonna drop you off right here if you cough one more time, stop coughing behind me" My friend said Call the Hilton police as a joke... and then He said seriously YOU call the Hilton Police. Such drama so early in the morning. Is this a Boston thing? Breakfast is just OK and it is a whole $18. Not worth it. I would have let it go but this is the second Hilton brand I've stayed at in the last two weeks that was just really bad. Step up Doubletree Hilton.

Yelp
Our experience at the Double Tree Bayside was mixed though definitely had its positives. First, our room was extremely clean and the air conditioning was killer - much needed in the hot and humid week we were in Boston. The staff were very kind and of course they constantly had cookies available - the best double tree perk. The breakfast area downstairs was nice and the internet did a great job of supporting everything that we needed to do for work. The hotel is also very close to a T station which made getting to the city quite easy. One of the major downsides of staying here was the soundproofing/wall thickness. Usually I'd say the walls were not thick because of sound alone but we actually had our headboard move many times because of a family next door with children jumping on their bed. Would be nice to have a little thicker walls that did not allow for our furniture to move.. This is a situational complaint but we happened to be staying here when they were redoing all of the carpets in our hallway which we were not warned about. We were working remotely all day and heard constant music blasting, power tool noises and doors slamming which also woke us up earlier than we had hoped to be. There was furniture lining all the hallways including all of the mattresses. Would have been great to be notified that this was taking place for the full three days that we were in the hotel upon checkin. Overall I would give the Double Tree another chance but we were not in love with our experience.

Yelp
Motel was great with great service & great shuttle. Food was awful. Bar was awful with a lost bartender. She didn't know what she was doing. Hotel is near absolutely nothing. Have to use Uber.

Yelp
If anything you will remember this place is the cookies... they are wicked good cookies, served warm as well. The hotel room is spacious. Breakfast is pretty standard, have good coffee. Condition is ok. Our A/C control doesn't work, you turned it off it automatically turn back on, you set a certain temperature and it changes. It's a small issue, at least we were able to keep a comfortable temperature. The bed feels clean and the pillow is pretty good. I like certain kind of firmness and softness with the pillow and this one is pretty good. The parking lot is lame, charges you $17 and it feels more like a empty construction lot. They offer shuttle to go to downtown Boston which is pretty nice. People should take advantage of it.

Yelp
Room is good, some things in room doesn't work. Food at marketplace is good, breakfast buffet is ok. Customer service is horrible. This one woman who brings out food gives me an attitude every time I see her.

Yelp
This review is 5 stars STRICTLY for the customer service I received. To briefly touch on the accommodations, do not expect anything fantastic. The cleanliness I would give a B-. The breakfast buffet which was $22 I would give an F+, it was quite disgusting so thankfully I had a credit on my account. Beware, to prepare to get breakfast elsewhere. They do have a cafe that prepares food to order and has Starbucks coffee so maybe better luck there. The 2 gentlemen that checked me in, gave me dinner recommendations and made sure things were good I greatly appreciate

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Employees- super nice and customer service focused Room-- clean Water available. Good cookies Turkey out front- adorable. He wandered around and never bothered anyone Mouse in the dining area- not as cute. Tiny but ran from table to teabag can multiple times. We saw the mouse at 11 pm, notified the guy working front desk, who was apologetic. Not a whole lot he could do at that hour but ugh, gross.

Yelp
Comfy bed. Strong water pressure. Not much view, but I stayed here for the location being close to the place I was in town to visit (jfk presidential library). Good location, not too far from the airport. So, walk over to the nearby Harbor walk and watch the planes coming in for landing. Very satisfying. I recommend the cookies at the Doubletree, but not if you have nut allergies

Yelp
This hotel is dated and shows its age. A car is definitely a must if staying here, as it's not quite near anything. Parking is $19/day. Can't really say I'd stay here again nor would I recommend it if you are visiting to explore Boston. The bed was ok. Room did have a mini fridge, which was nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Not a bad Doubletree location although I've been to better. It's in close proximity to the airport so they do have a shuttle service here. It will also take you to other places within a short raduis of the hotel. I do believe you have to make an appointment though. Decent sized lobby area with plenty of seating. A meeting room as well as a business center. There's a market place here that is larger and has made to order food which is not usually the case with hotel market places. There's also a seperate snack section as well. There's nothing close by to eat so that's a good option. The rooms are nice and modern. Spacious and clean. I feel like the customer service here isn't as good as some of the other locations.

Yelp
The hotel is pretty average- nothing to remember it by. But the parking deal available for people traveling via Logan is phenomenal! My mom parked her car at the secure lot behind the hotel for over a week when we went to London. She could have used their free shuttles to Logan but I she was late and couldn't wait for it so got an Uber. We returned over a week later and I was able to check in separately from my mom (on different flights), with very simple, quick service at 11pm. My mom arrived at 1am and it was still easy. So 7 nights of parking and a night at the hotel was about $225. Such a good deal!!! We will be doing it again. Hotel is clean, beds creak quite a bit. Housekeeping knocked on the door before 9am.

Yelp
If there is a 0 star, I will give it to this hotel. I booked a room for 1 night on 10/16/2022 for my trip. After a long drive from New Hamshire, what I received from the receptionist was my reservation was cancelled while I didn't make any reservation. I asked them whether I could book another room right away. They said that there were no room available. They asked me to contact Booking. Com to ask because booking. Com cancelled my reservation ( I made reservation via Booking. Com). While I was contacting booking. Com, I had to find another hotel to stay for that night. Booking. Com told me that they didn't cancel my reservation without my request. Then they help me to contact the hotel and sent me an email said that my booking was cancelled without anycharge. However, they still charge my money. I contacted the hotel but the agent said that they couldn't find my information and couldn't help me. I contacted booking. Com again to get help. Booking. Com said that the hotel denied the refund because I made a late cancellation while I didn't do anything. So, I lost my money. It was not a big amount, but I was really disappointed. It made my trip unhappy. Anyway, I dont reccomend this place It was really unprofessional.

Yelp
We recently stayed at Doubltree by Bayside over the Labor Day week-end. It was a family trip taking my grandson back to Northeastern. Great service all around, from the shuttle driver to the hotel manager. We arrive at the hotel a little before 9am and we were planning what to do until check in. The manager on duty Taryn was absolutely wonderful with suggestions for us to kill some time. She asked where we were from, and when we said Hawaii, I think she realized how tired we were. I think she went out of her way to see if there were any rooms available. And it just so happened there were 2 rooms ready. Most places would make you wait until the 3'oclock check in. It was a godsend that we could get a room after a 10-1/2 hour trip from Hawaii! Taryn is the epitome of what customer service is all about!! We truly enjoyed our stay there, and we will be staying there again in December! Oh, and I was surprised that they now have a microwave in the rooms! When we stayed there last year, we had to go down to lobby to use the microwave! We had a great 4 days! Thank you to all the staff at Hilton Doubletree in Boston!

Yelp
So I was supposed to take a train out of Boston in a snow storm and my train got cancelled. Amtrak sent us by cab to stay here until our train could get thawed out. The night staff was rude, unhelpful and dismissive. I get that 40 people who are tired, cranky and crabby and have been waiting in a train station for 10 hours are not the happiest people but your job is to be helpful. The heat in my room didn't work and they basically tried to say that I must have done something to the thermostat to make that happen. The day staff was so much more helpful, my heat still wasn't working at 8 and they took care of it right away. In addition, when I was checking out and they saw that it was my birthday they comped me lunch. So if you're checking in during the day go for it but anytime after 7, find another hotel.

Yelp
Jorge provided such a great impression and really set the tone for a good first impression for us of DoubleTree. It was quite helpful to be able to use the text feature to communicate with the front desk prior to our arrival in which reply back time was quick. We were accommodated with early check in with no problem as our train arrived very early to Boston. I am very pleased with the room, it is spacious and clean! I like that it doesn't feel small. Plenty of towels, mini fridge, comfortable bedding and guest controlled thermostat. The complimentary chocolate chip walnut cookies are quite delicious. Would I stay here again, Absolutely! Thank you DoubleTree at Boston Bayside

Yelp
Best customer service I have ever experienced at any hotel. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to come back soon! Every employee went above and beyond for myself and my co-workers.

Yelp
I have to be honest here. The whole stay was not great. First the front desk employees were not friendly and minimally helpful. Worse off the housekeeping lady definitely stole my daughters Bluetooth speaker and some of our personal belongings. I've never had anything "missing" before and I'm leaving this review for others to be aware.

Yelp
I wanted to be excited when my husband surprised us with a hotel room instead of having to stay in a bit cramped, yet lovely, apartment of a friend when we visited Boston.. But, after we had to pay $17 to park in the PARKING LOT of the hotel that he already paid to stay at... my hopes were diminished a bit. THEN... in the freezing late night hours with our 5 year old in tow.. we couldn't get to anyone to open up the door for at least 5 minutes. The staff was nice enough, but his excuse was mehhh... We checked in relatively easy, made our way up to the room, only to make our way back down after my husband found that we received double bed when he specifically requested a king. Then, we were told we got the last king, when my husband had already checked online (during a Thursday night stay with a hurricane coming at us), that there were a ton of rooms available... interesting. I wasn't happy that they put us right in front of the elevators, but thankfully, it was still very quiet. The room looked as though it was in need of a bit of a makeover.. not bad, but just really lived in. Some of the furniture and the window curtains seemed like it was from the 1990s. The bathroom.. *sigh.. I didn't realize how bad it was until I went to take a shower the next morning. Stopper broken, curtain mildewed, water became so backed up during shower, I thought I was taking a bath. That was the worst part of the experience. The beds are so not comfortable, tossed and turned all night long and felt itchy. WILL NOT RETURN.

Yelp
All the tourists left after Labor Day Weekend so I decided to check in for UNDER $100 for the night at a DOUBLETREE HILTON! Greeted with a cooler of all you can drink peach and cherry water. The room was all I needed with fridge, two FANTASTIC mattresses (my favorite: moderately firm), for once, easy to operate, functioning cable TV, a telephone, closet, clean, MODERN bathroom with a fantastic shower. (No one offers little bottles of soap, lotion anymore!) I requested a room of the harbor (and planes landing at Logan for plane watchers like myself) and was offered 413 on the 4th out of 6 floors. I never requested anything which required service although I did use the adequate microwave oven in the lobby. For people using public transportation, this location is a dream....just minutes walking from JFK/UMASS on the Red Line. The grounds in front of the hotel are beautifully landscaped (see pics!). To the back, you have airplanes and the harbor; however, there is also a huge, unsightly parking lot as well as a brick project off to the right (the one downside). I felt very safe inside and didn't lock my door, even for overnight. The front desk staff is rude and unprofessional but I have come to expect that in America today. For my purposes I enjoyed a very nicely appointed room for under $100 in a location easily accessible by the MBTA. I would go back anytime!

Yelp
There was no bible in my room or my friends. That is all I ask for in a hotel. I am super religious and I need to read a chapter a day. "In the begining, god created the heaven and the earth" thats the first sentence in the Bible. I have memorized it. I suggest that there is bibles put in the rooms so addiesm and baddism can come back from the dead. Amen

Yelp
Worst Hotel in Boston, Worst Hilton I have seen. Dirty,, rude staff, lack of hygiene during Covid, rooms were not sanitized and cleaned, (even though this is the Hilton. pledge, the "clean stay". promise), when I tell them the housekeeping lady has an attitude, gives me a dirty look and lies straight in my face, like how dare I say the appliances are dirty........ EVERYONE of the guests walks around with. no mask. (mid pandemic)), yet no. staff. member seems to say anything ..... dont feel safe here as far as hygiene and cleanliness NEVER coming back. here

Yelp
Decent hotel, Front Desk is very sweet and helpful. If you get room 230 please request another one, the bed shares a wall with the 24hr gym and you can hear as if cows is running in the treadmill at midnight and weights being dropped and hitting the walls between the hours of 6pm-1am. Also the breakfast isn't complimentary and there's no signs to tell you, it's $18.99 aperson and the items are limited and less. You can get a better breakfast with a different hotel that offers a complimentary breakfast. Other then that the stay was decent and the cookies they offer you at check in is hot and delicious!

Yelp
I've stayed here before. Most recently last week. This time I was charged $22.00 to park in an unsecured parking area. I was here for 3 nights last week and there was no parking fee and I parked in the same lot. I was told this fee has been charged all the time, which obviously was incorrect. Last week in addition to the cookie I was given 2 bottles of water, this week only the cookie. I'm not happy and I'm a Hilton Honors member.

Yelp
OK, so like other Hilton Doubletrees, the gimmick is to give you a cookie when you check-in. It's a good cookie, though not earth-shaking but it's a long way from making up for the lack of included amenities at this hotel. There is no pool, no breakfast. There is however, a marketplace cafe to buy some food & snacks if you really don't want to head outside. And you have to pay for parking at $12/day. If you're an HHonors member, you get a password for WiFi, but if you're not, you'll have to shell out for that also. It's slow and sometimes hard to log in, so I wouldn't bother if it was going to cost me. Our room was clean and comfortable overall, except that the shower curtain had some mildew. If there was a bathroom ventilation fan, this probably could have been prevented, but they don't. The 37 inch (I checked) LCD TV had all the major cable channels and you can hook up a DVD player or your computer to play movies, so remember to bring a cable. There were mini-refrigerators and microwaves littering the hallway, so I assume you can request them. For a Fee! I'm going to have to save up all my nickels & dimes, if I were to ever stay here again. Their saving grace is probably the location. Just down the street is UMass Boston, if you're visiting, plus the JFK Library & Museum is there too. The T stop is only 2 blocks away making it convenient to access the rest of the city by mass transit. 2.5 Stars

Yelp
This hotel is in the middle of U Mass campus and a little bit out of the way from downtown Boston. The T is about 10 minutes walk away... not bad but not super convenience. It is right off the expressways and great for a driver - but not so much so for public transportation or walking. I would recommend Uber coming back to the hotel late evening and not use the T. I have no problems with the staff or the room. It is not new but clean. I won't go out of my way to come here and probably only will come back if all the hotels in downtown are booked or having the super expensive rates.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel for one night in June as part of a business trip. The parking that night was tough. I got the last space in the lot and headed to the desk to check in. At the desk were a bunch of angry people that couldn't find parking, so the hotel staff sent someone to open the gate to a second lot. The warm chocolate chip cookie that was given to me at check in at the front desk was greatly appreciated. Also appreciated were the staff that gave us the menus of resturants that would deliver to the lobby of the hotel. The room was fine, with 2 double beds, and walls thick enough that you didn't hear hallway noise or those in the next room.

Yelp
Double Tree Bayside exceeded our expectations. Initially, I was under whelmed when pulling up. I felt it looked pretty blah. Once entering the hotel, we were greeted immediately and check-in was quick and efficient . We were handed our delicious cookies and given instructions on how to get to our room. Each day we were treated like family. The staff interacted with the kids and made sure we had plenty of treats . The cafe was pretty good , although kind of overpriced . The location was the best. We were within 1 to 5 miles away from EVERYTHING . We took Uber's for around 7$ to the freedom trail and 10$ to Harvard. It's located 2 blocks away from the subway. I gave it 4 stars because the property can use some updating . Other than that, we'd stay there again!

Yelp
This hotel is pretty terrible! It only caters toward business people, so if you are a common traveler or on vacation don't expect to be comfortable here! On site parking is $19 and no street parking in the area. We were awaked at 8am by a staff member using their key card to open our door. No knock or verbal communication saying that it was anyone such as Housekeeping. Luckily we had the security latch set, otherwise they would have just walked right in while we were sleeping! This was so confusing since we had just read a sticker on the mirror in the bathroom that said there would be no daily housekeeping and that you would have to call to request it. An hour after both me and my wife finally got back to sleep, a four man crew pulled up right outside our window and started leaf blowing at 9am. If you know how 3 blowers all running at the same time sounds, you know that it's impossible to sleep through. The heater/AC was also switching on and off making a loud clicking noise all night long that was also disruptive. Everything is clearly old, dirty and neglected here, and they don't care to modernize or fix anything. (Check out the huge weird stain on the ceiling of our room) When I brought up these issues with the lady who seemed to be the manager at the front desk she just told me that people who stay there are usually up at 8am so it's fine for housekeeping to walk into our room unannounced at that time. She had nothing to say about the work crew outside our window at 9am. I argued that checkout is at 12 noon so why did they wake us up at 8 and she had no answer. She begrudgingly and rudely refunded us $30 and said thats all she can do. We expected way more for the price we paid to stay here. Terrible customer service and terrible stay! Spend the extra $50 to stay somewhere that actually cares about their guests experience!

Yelp
Nice area, easy access to the highway. The staff is very friendly and room was clean and spacious.

Yelp
Has the quality gone down a bit or am I just being picky? The rooms seem like they could really use an update. My bathroom door refused to remain open and the door to the room seemed to let a weird amount of light in. They added breakfast that costs about $16, but it's about as sparse as it gets. The one woman working the breakfast area struggled to keep the food replenished. There was hardly any toast and most of the other food was missing. I'm not expecting extravagant at $16, but a little bit better than what I'd get if I just went to the cafe. It's still a decent location with how close it is to the JFK stop, but they need a little more work it seems.

Yelp
Good hotel for our weekend trip to Boston! The rooms were clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Sammy, the best shuttle driver I've met. Kept us entertained all the way to the airport, and made a special run back to the airport to deliver my laptop to me before my flight when I realized I'd left it at the hotel. Thanks Sammy!

Yelp
I booked this hotel during my stay for the Boston Marathon since it was much cheaper than downtown ones, close to a T stop and promised some amenities for the marathon runners. The hotel also promised free shuttle service from the airport. Upon gathering our luggage, I called for the shuttle as directed, and was told it would be there in "20 to 30 minutes." After waiting 40 minutes, I called to ask where the shuttle was and was told by a rude person that "we cannot control the traffic." I agreed but pointed out that they can control the information they provide, which is when the person became irritable. I hung up and waited. After a full hour, I called back to see where the shuttle was and spoke with Amelia, a manager who I had previously corresponded with about my gluten-free needs at breakfast. Amelia apologized (the first person never did) and told me the shuttle driver was a few minutes away. I thanked her and told her I expect better from Hilton as a loyal Diamond member. If I had been told originally the wait would be an hour, I would have gotten something to eat since I had to wake at 3:30 for my flight and I was now starving. She again apologized and confirmed that she would make this right. And boy did she. First, the shuttle driver did arrive a few minutes later. When we arrived Amelia said that she had reduced the nightly cost of the room and ensured that we would have breakfast that morning on them. Even though the continental breakfast had just closed, she gave us an appropriate credit at the grab-and-go counter, which included Starbucks coffee various snacks and a few breakfast items. The rest of the stay was uneventful, and the shuttle driver was on time both of the other times (race day and returning to airport) that we needed it. From the other reviews, it's clear there can be issues with this hotel. Had it not been for Amelia's professionalism, this rating would have been a 1.

Yelp
The room is nice. A bit cramped but clean and beds are comfortable. Staff are nice too. My complaints: WiFi was down whole time and their supposed buffet breakfast which costs $16.95(didn't know that) is basically what any other hotel would consider a complimentary breakfast. Huge ripoff but I partly blame myself. I thought it was free when we all sat down to eat but I missed the tiny sign that said the cost and there was no one there to tell me otherwise. So yeah my review is biased but I'm pretty pissed about that exorbitantly priced mediocre "buffet"

Yelp
I checked in at 11pm with my 6 year old daughter after a long flight from Seattle. She'd been feeling carsick after the Uber ride from the airport. The evening checkin guy was extremely nice. Upon getting to the room my daughter got sick and threw up all over the bed. I called for new bedding and the night security guard brought up some sheets. I then asked for a new mattress cover and comforter. He said that was all he could find. I then called the front desk (and after midnight) it was a rude night clerk who said the guard brought up what I'd asked for. I told him that I'd asked for additional items and the night clerk said "he brought up what you asked for" said with annoyance and a major attitude. I explained that I had a sick kid and was just trying to get us to bed. He then continued to give me an attitude about my request. I finally got frustrated and snapped back that I didn't pay $200+ dollars to sleep on a mattress with just sheets. When matching his attitude... HE HUNG UP ON ME! I had a sick, crying kid in the shower and all I was trying to do was clean up the mess and get fresh linen. I've never had a front desk be so rude let alone hang up on me!! Eventually the night guard came back with a bunch of towels. I said thank you, but that I still needed a comforter. He then said he'd do what he could and came back with a stack of more sheets. My daughter and I made a comforter out of 5 sheets. On that note too, the sheets are the most bleached, itchy, uncomfortable sheets I've ever slept on. I had to wear long sleeves and pants just to not have skin irritation. WORST Hilton I've ever stayed at.
