DoubleTree by Hilton Hannover Schweizerhof

Great hotel, good value for money with well maintained and modern, spacious room and a comfortable bed. The location is very convenient in a quiet, semi-residential area with just a short walk to the train station and city centre. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of hot and cold buffet options and in the evening, the bar had a good ambience, friendly staff and was well priced.

I stayed here many years ago when it was a Crowne Plaza and very pleased to report that it's a lot better now with well appointed rooms and a nicer layout on the ground floor. It was Christmas and the hotel was beautifully decorated.||Checkin was quick, efficient yet friendly and I was soon on the way to my room on the 6th floor. The brick lined corridors are unfortunately still the same, it feels like you are outside rather than inside.||The room was a good size with a separate seating and desk area should you need to work. It was great that the windows opened so you could let in some fresh (cold) air. The bed was clean and very comfortable. There was plenty of hangers and storage space. There was also a fridge and coffee machine plus bottled water for Hilton Honors silver members - it's free to sign up otherwise €5. The TV swung around so you could watch it in bed or from the seating area while eating your Doubletree cookies.||The bathroom was clean but compact, nice long tub and easy to use shower, Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries as you expect in a Doubletree/Hilton. Nice soft towels and plenty of counter space by the double sink.||Breakfast was outstanding, there was too much choice and a little hard to decide what to have so enjoy some sparking wine while you inspect all the dishes ! There was a great selection of both cooked and chilled items. The breads were especially good quality and I loved the butter machine. The coffee machine had multiple options to choose from as well as teas and hot chocolate. Plenty of cold cuts, cheeses, smoked salmon and salads - you will not leave hungry !||The ground floor is open plan with lots of seating areas, a nice bar and a pantry selling snacks, soda and water. It's more inviting and brighter than what I remember when it was the CP.||All of the staff were lovely, very friendly and happy to help with recommendations or directions. The Hauptbahnhof is a very short walk away as it the old town / Altstadt so the hotel is ideally situated. An excellent choice for your stay if in Hannover.

I am allocated a room at the 6 floor. I found out that there is upper and surface level for the room. And my room was in upper level, I need to carry my luggage up without any ramp at all so inconvenient, the designer must be a ********

Very pleasant stay at the DoubleTree. Following a flight cancellation I needed a room for one night and was able to book one here. Received an upgrade to junior suite along with complimentary welcome cookie and fantastic service from Karl upon checking in. Breakfast was extremely varied and was located in a pleasant dining area. Only a five minute walk from the central station and a two minute walk to the bus stop which has frequent services to the New Town Hall, Sprengel Museum and Lower Saxony State Museum as well as other city centre locations. An excellent experience!

Great hotel if you need to be for business in Hannover. The rooms are a little out dated but spacious and that is important for me. The breakfast is great with enough choice.

Cannot recommend this hotel more. The rooms were great, had a deluxe King which was huge and perfect air-conditioning which was important as it was hot. Easy access to the parking garage and in close proximity to multiple great restaurants (5 mins walking) and city center (10 mins walking). Great bar and excellent breakfast. Pamela at the front-desk was very helpful in sorting out our booking glitch and provided us with great service! Next time we need to stay in Hannover this will be our hotel of choice for sure!

This is such a great spot to stay at. My room was pleasant and seemed more up-to-date than some of the other hotels I was looking at in the area. The little details are what made me glad that I stayed here. Like something as small as the images used for decor was some of the iconic landmarks in Hannover. Small and silly but I appreciated it. The front desk was helpful and spoke English (thank god, I didn't want to have to use my translator). We had a blast just chatting with them as well. Taxi's were easily accessed. The Bar and food selection was tasty. I will definitely be back when I have my conference here again. -Review from a stay in October 2019.

Want the Royal treatment? Stay here, just a five minute walk from train station to! Super clean, damn near 5 star just missing the butler! Left me candies lol! The only way to stay in Hannover Germany!

Great room, super clean, friendly staff. Fitness room could be improved - too small! Super expensive parking and internet.

The staff are really friendly, the rooms are comfortable, clean and quite large. The food is great, and quite a few of us prefer the bar food to the restaurant food. The barman (I won't name him) is phenomenal. He is a credit to the hotel
