The Doubletree is my home-away when I'm in Boston, and I couldn't recommend it more, especially for business travelers. The service is wonderful, from the front desk staff, to the cleaning staff, to the bartenders - some of whom I consider friends with at this point. No, it is not the most glamorous hotel, but it's exceptionally clean, whisper quiet in the rooms, and everything works exactly as it should. The management here clearly cares - this is exactly how a hotel should be run, which is becoming increasingly rare these days. A big thanks to the Doubletree and its staff for your endlessly reliable hospitality.

This Hotel is conveniently located right across from the Tufts Hospital Emergency Department. When choosing a room, make sure you know which side of the building you are considering because you will either want to pick a room that is opposite the ambulance entrance, or bring ear plugs for sleeping. The valet parking is convenient, but the hotel daily rate is pretty high. It was $68 per day at the time of this review. The restaurant in the hotel serves a nice selection of local fare as well as some comfort classics like a burger. They have a full bar and friendly staff to serve you. Overall, the hotel is clean and appeared well maintained. I was even impressed by the quality of the tap water. I'm not sure about the rest of Boston, but you can definitely drink the water in your room. I know this is a weird thing to review, but IYKYK.

I read a bunch of bad reviews on my way to this hotel ( after making the reservation!)so I was nervous but I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was spacious enough and very clean with a comfy bed. The bar was well stocked and the bar tender was great. Friendly and efficient and great personality. Cares about his craft. The front desk staff was helpful about finding us a bike path nearby and offered restaurant suggestions. Would definitely return. The location was great too. Right by the T and lots of restaurants.

Lovely greeting by the reception staff. Felt safe here and the room was clean and spacious. Good location to get around..10 mins from Boston common, the tube station was across the road. There’s a Starbucks on site, restaurant and bar were lovely. It was quite noisy at night with sirens etc from the medical center, but with ear plugs, it was fine. Would stay here again.

We recently spent 3 nights here.|Arrived from the airport via the Silver Line and then a 10 minute walk.|The hotel is easy to find and is behind Chinatown and next to Tufts Medical Center.|Check in was very smooth and we were greeted with cookies. All staff over the week were very friendly.|Our room was great. Not sure if it was because we were in a corner room but it was huge. Lots of space to walk around, store luggage and places to sit and relax. The room was so big that the bathroom was down the end of the coridoor.|The bed was comfortable, huge TV and good coffee making facilities and a fridge.|We used the restaurant for breakfast- very good choices, cooked fresher and a nice feeling sitting there. Good service and good pricing.|We used the bar several times over the week. Great choice of drinks, sport on the tv and the barman Ishmael was wonderful- what a gent. Runs the bar excellently and there is a real fun feeling.|The location is great. Around 5/6 bars around which we visited and a few restaurants. Washington street is only minutes away too and has many bars, coffee shops, restaurants and shops. The main downtown area of Boston, near the market is a 15 minute walk and Boston Commons is similar distance.|Really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if in Boston

The room was clean with no bad smells, but the furniture is very outdated. The heater fan made a loud rattling noise, so it was either freeze all night or listen to the noise. A service technician came, checked it, said nothing could be done and told me most of the rooms were like that . In the morning, my wife went downstairs to buy water and was told she did not look like she stays here until she showed my Hilton app with the room key. Very unprofessional. Definitely not 4-star quality — felt more like a budget motel for the price.

We wanted to note how wonderful Touriya was at the front desk. A true professional and excellent hospitality skills. She remembered our names…even our granddaughters and greeted us at all times. She certainly is a valuable employee.|Also Darwin was so very helpful at the bar and what a smile! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with your excellent staff.|Diane and Randy P

Arrived at 10am on Friday, room wasn't ready yet so I left my car with valet with all my belongings inside tye car still. Went exploring the city for the day. Got notification that my room was ready early afternoon. Returned to hotel at 5pm, retrieved my belongings from my car and made way to my room. Had a great day. Went to bed & at 230am was awoken from a deep sleep by the worst sounds ever. It was the worst loud music I've ever heard coming from outside along with beeping of car horns. I called the front desk and was told the area bars/clubs were let out and a bunch of people decided to keep the after party going in the streets and the cops were called. Well this went on for a good hour and we couldn't go back to sleep until it got quiet. The next night the same exact thing happened but just with beeping horns, no music this time. Upon checkout, I noticed a charge for an early valet fee. I prepaid for 2 full days and was charged an extra fee. I went to the front desk to see if the fee could be waived & was greeted by the most rude woman at the front desk. She told me I checked in early and and that is why the fee can't be waived. I told her I did park at 10am but my room wasn't ready so I didnt check in and I also pre paid for 2 days. She said, sorry I cant waive it. I then told her about the loud noises both nights and she didnt offer any compensation. She said those noises aren't the hotels fault. The way she addressed everything to me was so rude too. This was probably the worst customer service I've ever received at a hotel. I find it hard to believe they couldn't waive a $20 early valet fee. I warn people DO NOT travel to this hotel on any weekend day, unless you want to be woken up from your sleep at 230am for at least 1 hour.

Yelp
Great spot near Chinatown that's a short walk to most places including Boston Common. Located next to the Tuft "T" subway station if you need to get anywhere else. Very friendly and informative front desk staff. Nice basic restaurant / bar. Starbucks downstairs. We parked in the well lit Tufts Garage next door for a $45 day max.

Yelp
Short version: It's a decent hotel but the location makes it very noisy. Longer version: I stayed here on a weekend in October 2025 to visit friends. The location was central to where I wanted to be and I was using Hilton points. Valet parking is a healthy $65/day. The lobby is nice and check-in was pretty painless. Overall the staff we encountered were friendly. The bar area was crowded and nice and surprisingly not really over-priced. My room was pretty standard but decently sized and clean. Tub drain was annoyingly slow however. The main complaint I have (and based on the reviews others as well) is that it's very noisy. All. Night. Long. Right across the street is the Tufts Medical Center emergency room entrance. So while this might be convenient if you require medical attention during your stay it's much less convenient if you want a decent nights sleep and not hear ambulances all night. Our room had a window in the center courtyard so I wasn't really concerned about noise but it didn't matter. There were other loud noises beyond the emergency vehicles that I couldn't specifically identify but were plenty annoying. So all in all it's a nice hotel but the location makes it tough to really recommend highly.

Yelp
I personally enjoyed this hotel. Reading some of the 1 star ratings I almost get a feeling that they were rating someplace else. As with most hotels in Boston parking is pricey at $65/night. Not unusual at all. However, this says adjacent to Orange line Tufts station. This was our primary means of transportation. You can get anywhere in the city as long as you don't mind short walks. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Really had no complaints about this location.

Yelp
Located across from Tufts Medical center this Doubletree has some definite pros and a couple cons that shouldn't be overlooked. I'll start with the pros: Staff is super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They will hold your luggage if you arrive prior to check in and want to start your trip minus luggage. Restaurant/bar on sight serving breakfast and dinner. Starbucks downstairs - they do not participate in the rewards program Rooms are clean. Rooms are updated despite some aspects of the hotel showing the true age. Very close to Chinatown Pretty close to a couple big public transportation spots. Centrally located between the North End and Back Bay. Now the cons: Parking is valet only and I believe $63/day I had read prior that there might be some ambulance noise throughout the day and night as there is an emergency room right across the street. That part is true to some extent. We found more ambulance noise to occur during daylight hours than night but if you are a light or late sleeper this may be an issue. Now for the biggest, most egregious con we encountered at this property (and it's not the property, more the proximity). Just outside our window to the right is a club. This club apparently lets out at 2am. On both nights we stayed, around 2 am we were awakened to the most obnoxious, inconsiderate display of loud blaring music playing in the street. All the club goers were leaving or dancing in the street without a care to people in hotels, apts, or even the children's hospital right there. When I called downstairs, it seemed like this was a first time for them too and said an event just let out down the street and they have called the police to clear the street. The police took about 15-20 mins to arrive and just them showing up with some lights dispersed the crowds and the music stopped. We could finally go back to sleep. However when this occurred again the next night with the same exact music blaring but a little before 2 am, we were a little less convinced this was a first time happening. Front desk again said that the police were called. This time took about 15 minutes but it required the police to stay on sight for probably another 15 minutes to disperse the crowds and stop the music. While outside behavior is not the fault of the hotel, it is definitely something to consider if you need uninterrupted beauty sleep. I can sleep through just about anything and this was extreme. Would I stay here again? Maybe. If I stayed here again , I'd probably ask for a higher floor (we were on 4) and one not facing that club area. I'd also probably look at the calendar for the club and see if they had any events going on the nights I was interested.

Yelp
I've stayed here a number of times over the years and it's a solid 5 stars at $130 a night. 3 stars for the more usual $250 and up. Location is excellent. On the orange line and walkable to the green line. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are a good size. Water pressure is decent. Microwave and fridge make it easy to save leftovers. Front desk is super communicative, and they have the cookies! Beds are Uber comfortable. Biggest complaint is the elevator disconnect between the ground floor and room floors.

Yelp
Stayed here for my first visit to Boston recently. Yes it is a little dated, but the location and helpfulness of the staff make up for it. The hotel is less than a block away from the Orange Line T at Tufts, which makes getting around Boston fairly easy and cheap. The area around the hotel seemed safe to me, even late at night. (The hotel doors are locked after a certain hour for security). The room I had was comfortable and I didn't have any issues with the room. The only issue i had was that all of the elevators went down late one night and I had to walk up 5 flights of stairs (with a knee that had been recovering from an injury). The hotel did take care of me though and the elevators were back up and running mid day the following day. Outside of the fact that the hotel needs a refresh, I'd stay there again.

Yelp
Amazing location right next to Chinatown, and you get to use the YMCA next door during your stay. I checked into a room facing the courtyard since I didn't want any noise from the street side. It was very quiet and my room was clean. Boston Common is minutes away. And the staff at the front desk is very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here.

Yelp
This location is great! They are off the Tufts Medical Center Orange Line exit. The Green Line is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Chinatown is near by. There's a Starbucks on the street level and valet is $59. Take the SL4 to go to South Station if you're going back to the airport. Checking in was okay. My room wasn't ready because I arrived very early. I was able to leave my suitcase with the hotel until my room was ready. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. There is the Wisteria restaurant and a bar on the property. They have a fitness center and small courtyard. I didn't have the opportunity to, but you can visit the YMCA next door as long as you ares staying at DoubleTree. There is a convenience store right before you get to the elevators. The hotel property was clean and the room was clean. I stayed in a two-bed room and the beds were pretty small, but very comfortable. I loved the big pillows on the bed. The room comes with a small refrigerator and microwave. I'd love to stay here again.

Yelp
Basic hotel in a great location! Minutes away from Tufts Station, super close to Chinatown (the area and the station), and also walkable to the theater district, downtown crossing, and to the Boston Common. We even walked all the way to the Boston Tea Party museum. I guess this area is super walkable! Room amenities were simple but functional. Has a microwave and fridge (which was really icy). Aside from soap, shampoo, and conditioner, you can request toothbrush and toothpaste as well. There's a clothesline in the bathroom. There are two elevators servicing six floors, but they're super slow, faster to take the stairs. Floorboards were really creaky! Even the floor above us. Also we found a dime and an eyeliner on the floor, at different spots of the room. There's a fitness center but we didn't check it out. We were told we could use the facilities (presumably for laundry) at the Wang YMCA (adjacent and connected) but we didn't use them. Restaurant food (dinner and breakfast) was mediocre. Service was ok, our server was sweet and attentive but not what I'd expect from a hotel establishment. We were offered the option of food credit or points. Disappointingly, we cannot apply the credit to the snacks in the gift shop (the other Hilton properties we stayed at had no problem with this, but maybe because they're Doubletree?) After the first night I decided to change to points. Free food that doesn't taste good is just a waste of stomach space! Live music on Friday evening in the lobby. Front desk service varies. Tureya (I think? From Casablanca, Morocco; sorry for misspelling) was super nice and accommodating. We were also able to borrow some stationery and supplies to pack a box for mailing (post office in Chinatown area is within walking distance as well).

Yelp
Yep! You read that right...5 stars for this DoubleTree! They could have ghosts and I wouldn't care. I travel a ton for work and I usually try to stay at Hilton branded hotels. Overseas, they're awesome. Stateside, they're hit or miss. Regardless, this one is a hit! First you're right next to the T and we had no issues getting here from the airport via the T. Second, the staff is ridiculously awesome! Like, this is what got 5 stars! They have been the most welcoming hotel staff I've experienced in a long time. The app, by the way, allows you to just text them. Lost in the city, text. Need cookies, text them. Closest delicious restaurant, text them! The rooms are mildly dated but soooo comfy! Not even the rooms, maybe the hallways. The bar staff is top notch and will remember your beverage of choice and provide plenty tasty bar snacks to keep you thirst! Plus, the food isn't bad, either! Food can be pricey but it is indeed tasty. Super jazzed I picked this hotel for our trip. It's walkable to almost everything and if it isn't, again, the T is right there.

Yelp
I was pretty happy staying here. Very clean room and somewhat spacious. The hotel is quiet. They have a Starbucks right downstairs. They also give you warm chocolate cookies upon check in. Sometimes it is the little things. I do not like the shampoo, conditioner and body wash They offer. Luckily I brought my own. This hotel is in a good location. Everything is walkable. Macy's, North End, Great restaurants, etc. The front desk staff were all awesome. Sean was super helpful. They have a restaurant there but it did not look appealing. The bar on the other hand was. They have some great local craft beers. They also have a nice store to buy things you might have forgotten. We had a view of a hospital across the way. Every night I saw a lady sitting bedside with I assume a family member. We always have to be grateful for what we do have and count our blessings.

Yelp
Stayed here at the DoubleTree recently and it was nice. It wasn't my first choice, but due to the insanely expensive hotel rates in Boston, this was what I landed on (and it was still quite quite expensive!). Chinatown neighborhood. Walkable to all the spots, downtown, parks, harbor, etc etc. location great. Inside quite dated. The shower was awful. If I were a 12 year old it would be lovely, but it's so low you have to crouch down to wet the top of your head. Room is fine enough, but very dark, not enough lighting or plugs. Staff so nice, can't say enough about them. They have a little shop downstairs for water and soda and Tylenol and the like if needed, which is helpful. If I had to stay here again I certainly wouldn't be mad about it, but I wouldn't put it at the top of my list either.
google avatar

Lynn N.

Yelp
Solid location. I try to avoid doubletrees but this one is very nice. Of course the rooms need an update but its clean, efficient location, front desk staff is lovely.
google avatar

Yelp
Super sweet staff and very nice rooms! Walkable distance to everything, highly recommend!

Melanie O.

Yelp
If you stay here plan on no sleep (unless you could sleep in a thumping nightclub). And call ahead to make sure they didn't cancel your reservation.... After flying in and getting to hotel we were told one of rooms was canceled due to fraud but our other room was ready. So apparently one of our rooms was fraudulent but the other was just fine. Made no sense at all!

Yelp
I stayed here again on a business trip for 4 nights. I enjoyed the experience and the value received. Great service - the front desk staff was quick, efficient, attentive, and friendly. I particularly liked how they communicated over text in making sure everything with the stay was comfortable. Decent gym - nice, spacious gym with free weights, pull up bar, stability balls. As a guest, you also have free access to the adjacent YMCA which has a full fitness center along with workout classes. Be sure to check the YMCA hours as they had changed them post-covid. Location - close to the airport. Walking distance to Theater District and Chinatown. Just google restaurants/bars if you are looking to grab a bite or a drink. If you want to load up on water/small groceries, there's a 7-11 five minutes away walking distance. Restaurant/Bar/Starbucks in lobby. Convenient if you don't want to leave the hotel. I will stay here again when in town for business.

Ian R.

Yelp
These guys are awesome!! the buildings a lil dated but it really just adds to the "charm" lol. The rooms are always spotless, Front Desk is always awesome, the bar tenders have a great sense of humor and your steps away from the Orange line taking you anywhere you need to go in Boston! I recently decided last second to come to the Canada / US hockey game and these guys were booked up. Based on my experiences here I gave the Hilton Park Place a try. What an Ef*****ing disappointment. From dirty sheets to a political ear raping by the bar tender. The only good thing I can say about the Hilton Park Place location is that I received enough compensation in points to book a free night for my birthday at this Doubletree for St Patty's day.

Yelp
This hotel is located in Chinatown, and if you haven't been to Chinatown, it's pretty damn dirty down there. The hotel was nice with historical value and the service is very nice too. But there was an odd smell to the hotel that I just couldn't get over overall though the hotel is in a great location to go explore South Boston and Chinatown.
google avatar

Aida C.

Yelp
clean hotel, kind valet staff, we were given a complimentary warm cookie upon check-in and there was live music the night we arrived. the location of the hotel itself is also nice, as it's near plenty of restaurants, a theater, the Royale, and in close range to plenty of Boston's main attractions. there's also a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel, as well as a Starbucks. it was unfortunate that there weren't many channels available to watch on the TV and also no way to purchase movies. nonetheless, i would return for a quick overnight trip, but nothing long.

Yelp
Great service. Great staff. Great bar. Good snacks. Nice sized bed. No stench anywhere. Ok sleep because of downtown foot traffic, different type of people outside of my norm coming from Southern California, lowkey dead scene downtown now at the time but that's besides the point. Didn't even check out Just walked out

Yelp
Nickel and Dime you for everything. Parking should be free if you are staying the night. Extra hold on Credit Card..

Yelp
My Hilton profile includes "high floor preferred", so they put my on the second floor. When I entered my room, I heard loud voices outside and banging on my window, which turned out to be a dodge ball game going on at the YMCA. See the picture and you'll see what I mean. Perhaps the Y would be an upgrade. Secondly, the room was 85 degrees. I would have called the front desk to ask for a room change, but I was told the hotel was completely sold out. I waited for 2 hours and the temperature did not change at all. I finally called the front desk and they said they would send someone. The maintenance person showed up and confirmed what I already knew, that the air conditioning did not work at all. The front desk called and said they had found a another room for me with a "City View", I suppose my current room was a "YMCA Immersive Experience" view. I packed my stuff and moved to the new room, which in fact had air conditioning and a city view. I am a Hilton Diamond member. I asked for an upgrade at the front desk at check-in and was told there was nothing available because the hotel was completely sold out. If that were true, how did they find an upgraded "City View" room for me two hours later?
google avatar

Tony L.

Yelp
The front end staff at check in was great! Joy really made an impact on both my son and me. She recognized and acknowledged that it was my sons birthday, she gave him (us) a credit to the restaurant, which we appreciated. We received warm cookies and a couple bottled waters as well. The room was nice, quiet, and beds were comfy! I would have given a five star rating, however on our last night I notice a tiny blood stain on the bed sheets were my son was sleeping. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely return and stay here again! Tufts Medical Center Emergency was across the street, and the Orange line was about 300 feet from the hotel, which gave us easy access to the Aquarium and Quincy Market.

Mabel H.

Yelp
They have rodents problem in their parking lot and costed $7k damage to my car. The hotel refuse to take the responsibility!! I would not stay or eat at this hotel. The room cost over $300/night, horrible!!!! Don't go there, not worth it!!!
google avatar

Monique J.

Yelp
A friend stayed here and I would go by to meet them often. The front lounge area was massive and very nice! The tables had plugs built in for charging phone or laptops. The rooms are ok. I noise some pink bacteria in my friend's bathroom.

Vickie T.

Yelp
The noise from the parking garage kept us up till 4am both nights we stayed and they wouldn't compensate us. This happens often, after we called the police. I have video of the noise. Several guest were at the front desk asking the same thing and did nothing. I would not recommend staying there at all. Expected more for $400 a night.

Yelp
Am a lifetime platinum on Marriott but decided to give this hotel a chance because it was convenient to meetings for a one day trip, and priced attractively on third party site. Service or lack thereof explains vacancy rate causing that attractive pricing. Arrived at midnight and had to ring doorbell three times before janitor noticed me; he tried to wave me off before I screamed to him that I was trying to check in and didn't yet have my key. Manager on site then would not honor my Hilton profile because name didn't exactly match my ID (never an issue in thousands of nights staying at marriott). Grudgingly giving one star because room was generously sized and location is convenient. Next time will spend extra $25-50 / night for one of many other 3.5-4 star hotels in area...

Yelp
Business traveler paradise! I travel for work and stay out of home over 100 nights per year and this location is where I stay a large percentage of those nights. I can't say enough how much I feel at home here! From Abraham at the valet to Touriya, Kira, and all the lovely hotel staff... Darwin and the restaurant crew.. they all make each stay better than the last and the service they prove is top notch! While there are many other options in Boston, I always choose this venue because of their gentle commitment to service and class. Bravo!

Yelp
This hotel is located in the area of downtown & Chinatown of Boston. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays, but was disappointed to see that there was no coffee/tea available for guests. The rooms and hallways were exceptionally clean which was really appreciated. The hotel was big and could accommodate lots of guests. I give this hotel 4 instead of 5 stars because the restaurant and diamond member credit is very poorly managed. The waiters are rude, the food takes forever, we had to explain we needed vegan accommodations to the manager 3 times and it took 45 minutes just to be seated and order when there were plenty of tables available. Most menu options aren't even covered under the diamond member meal credit. They need to get new management for the restaurant and it would be a lot better of an experience. When you're a tourist you want to explore the city not spend 2 hours waiting for your breakfast.

Yelp
Stayed here the night of black Friday for a concert at Royale. This location was very convenient, close to many restaurants, and about a two minute walk from the concert venue. I was able to use my AAA to get a small credit towards the valet parking with my room. It was about $300 for one night, including the valet parking. Upon checking in, we were given warm cookies which I think was a nice touch. Our room was clean, some scuffs and tape on the walls. Regular sized bathroom. We spent a good part of our night in our room as the concert ended early so it was very upsetting that the TV had limited channels and no way to buy movies. There is a mini market here that was open at 10pm, so we were able load up on snacks and drinks without having to walk to a store somewhere. There is a restaurant and starbucks here which is super convenient. Valet service was wonderful. Very kind staff and I got my car back with no issues.

Yelp
All I can say is that I've truly enjoyed the past four days here. Quiet, comfortable rooms. I believe they have taken an old school or YMCA and converted it into a hotel. Really unique layout. It has a restaurant and a fully-functional Starbucks on site. The lobby area is so inviting--especially during the holidays. What really stood out to me is the staff. It seems that they really want to be here. It could all be a show, but if it is, it's a very good show. It's right next to Chinatown. I've eaten so much spicy dry pot and so many gooey sesame balls! What a great location. The only suggestion I have is to touch up the bathrooms. They could used some paint and a remodel. Other than that, it has been a perfect stay.

Yelp
I stayed here for 5 nights for a pandemic getaway. Parking was so confusing here. There is a $25/night parking with no in and out privileges around the corner at tufts medical center. Then there is a $45 Hilton parking with in and out privileges. You can only leave tufts once, so we parked there for 4 nights and then one night at Hilton. Throughout my stay, I woke up and smelled vomit through the vents one night, and another night I smelled weed. I complained to the front desk but it did nothing. Front desk was very helpful though and I always got what I needed. You can choose to receive free breakfast with Hilton honors gold or forgo breakfast and choose bonus Hilton points. For every 3 or 4 nights you stay, housekeeping comes once, but even though we requested for housekeeping, they never came. Overall, it was not too bad here. It was a walkable distance to Chinatown and the food and bubble tea was great. This was the ultimate reason for choosing this hotel. It was about a 5 minute walk to Chinatown and there were bikes to rent around the corner.

Yelp
OK I had a rough start there but they were VERY nice and accommodating. They had an issue with rooms with no AC but they are fixing that. The asked for non feather pillows when I checked in and I finally had to go downstairs at 11 pm to personally get them. The bed got switched out to a nice new bed because my original bed was like sleeping on a potato chip. My window looks into a hallway: literally but I didn't come for the view and the room was nice and quiet. A plus is it's close to the hospital if you need that and close to the theaters. The food is very good and the service is excellent.

Yelp
Charged me almost $400 for their mistake! Booked a stay for 6/24-6/27/22 via Hilton Honors customer service. Cancelled the reservation online 7 days in advance due to a change in plans. I noticed a one night charge on my credit card for 6/24. The hotel was called immediately. The cancellation number was provided and they insisted there was a one-night reservation for 6/24 that was charged a no-show fee of the cost of the room for the night. The conversation became circular and they continued to provide no confirmation of this seemingly phantom additional reservation. Proceeded to contact Hilton Honors which has been a 3-week exercise in futility. Shared screenshots of the account page showing the cancelled reservation, and they could say nothing other than they saw that too, but the other reservation wasn't cancelled. . It was finally determined that a single night reservation for 6/24 was made by the customer service rep in additional to the 3-night stay. After numerous emails back and forth with their claims department - the resolution. Pound sand or contact the property again and try there. Contacted the property again. The resolution? Pound sand or try again with Hilton Honors.

Yelp
Very nice place - check in was great - very friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable and nice and location was great. The bartender was not as friendly and attentive as I would have expected - otherwise I would have rated 5 stars.

Yelp
Gayle and I had a nice stay here. We were in town to board a Norwegian Cruise Ship the next day and being a Hilton Diamond Member has its advantages. For me, that means a room upgrade and a nice breakfast in the morning. This Doubletree certainly delivered that, plus the cookies. The historic hotel building was renovated from the former Don Bosco High School, which sometimes means this may someday transition into a Hilton Curio property. Tufts University Medical Center is right here too, which made an interesting tourist/professional/family mix with the common areas. We also enjoyed the relatively easy walk to the Boston Common and Beacon Hill. We also took a cab or Uber from the airport to the Hotel and from there to the cruise terminal. I was more than happy to let someone who can handle center city Boston traffic do the work.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at this hotel 7/22/23. Check in was good and as a Hilton Honors member I always enjoy staying at Hilton properties. This one disappointed. The ice machines were not working on most floors and management staff did not advise on check in. Tried to eat breakfast in the hotel and had to leave because we couldn't get service. I can't recommend this hotel at this time.

Yelp
This hotel was chosen for it's location and parking package. It is surprisingly hard to find a hotel with on-site parking, and since we had to do an emergency departure due to Hurricane Henri, ended up being worth the cost. The hotel is about 10 minutes from Boston Common, although much longer blocks between you and the park if you're used to Southern cities. The hotel is technically on a second floor with an elevator bringing you up from street level. There are stairs, they are not great if you have knee pain and the elevator breaks for your stay. The room was clean though, and even though housekeeping was suspended due to Covid, we had no issue getting clean towels. Despite being next to a hospital, night noises were what I would consider average to quiet for a city. The biggest downside is it felt like parking may need a better organization system. After taking the car out for the day and bringing it back to pack, I was almost turned away by an attendant who said the lot was full. "But .... I prepaid." "Oh!" And that is how my car found itself temporarily parked on the street while the valet puzzled out what to do and where the car could go. He was neutral and no negative tones were involved, but it was odd as a customer that the spot I prepaid for as part of a package was apparently sold again to someone else! They were able to do magic rearranging though, and my car was wisely parked in the front because yup, we were leaving early.

Yelp
I'd give between 2 and 3 stars to this Hilton location. It's a Double Tree nothing fancy expected but it's very tired. The rooms are very dark and lighting is poor. The hallways are dingy. The fitness center is akin to a home gym except worse. If you just need a night or 2 and don't care about a good workout and do not need to work from the room, it will do.

Yelp
Misleading website and safety concerns. The double queen bedroom (247) had half of the window covered by wood (tornado style) and half with translucent glass. Behind the glass, there were shapes of boxes blocking 2/3 of the height. I hesitate this room meets the criteria for a habitable room up to the city of Boston code. (and they charge $278 + taxes). Additionally, there was an attempt to rob my car at the hotel valet parking because the personnel failed to call the police about an individual who had been inside the premises for at least 30 minutes. The lack of training to face an emergency was evident. Customer care offers 10,000 points ($60) as an apology.

Yelp
I have to agree with the 3star rating. Great location. At first glance a hotel that starts on the second floor with just one tiny antique elevator to bring you to check in. Front desk people are friendly and accommodating. Interior is older looking but smells clean. Food is incredibly overpriced Great point- there are plenty of restaurants in the area Room: I don't think the windows have ever been washed. Good news is most will open (have to be strong) Bed is comfortable Shower was designed for someone less than 5foot tall.

Yelp
I'm very disappointed with this hotel. No customer service at all. If you have a problem, they will not help you. They promise to help, but as result they charge you. No flexibility with reservation!

Yelp
You will not get any help. No customer service regarding cancellation issue due to cancelled flight. Flight was cancelled, I contacted property to resolve this issue, to change dates, to get credit for next trip, absolute no help, they don't worry about clients, the just charge your card and don't talk anymore to you!

Yelp
Our stay in Boston was made better by our accommodations at this hotel. The general manager, Tony, and his team members were excellent. They were responsive to any needs and requests we had. I can't say enough about our meals, and the restaurant staff provided great service. By the end of our weeklong stay, everyone was familiar with us and was able to anticipate our needs before we could ask. This will continue to be our go-to place every time we're in the city. Thanks for taking care of my family, Tony!

Yelp
I stayed in this place for one night at the end of the summer to attend a game at Fenway. I drove to the city so I needed a place to park the car. This place has valet parking for a touch over 50 bucks (accidentally typed "fucks", classic). I actually found on spot hero non valet but the same lot for $30. I drove in and valet took over anyway, so I'm not sure how to finagle that without the valet business. The hotel itself is MASSIVE. There is a starbucks on street level. The location is great, just near chinatown and within very close walking distance to boston common and the T. As a New Yorker (sorry), I hope I got my Boston landmark nomenclature correct. So not to be snobby but I'm lyk a hilton rewards member and I usually get pretty good rooms. Idk what was going on with the capacity of the hotel on this particular day but got a pretty shittily located room on the 7th floor that was at the beginning of the corridor and thus I was privy to all comings and going by way of sound. I was actually abruptly and violently awoken (awaken?) literally at like 2 or 3am to people SCREAMING outside. I was actually SCARED and thought there was some scary, homicidal shit going on outside. This is probably a sign that I have been watching too many murder documentaries recently. The room itself was smaller than I'm used to but this is the center of Boston. The view was for shit as well. Additionally, the toilet flushes so strongly the water ricochets against your booty. The bed and bedding were both very comfortable. Overall I would say this is a good choice given its location but don't expect royal treatment.

Yelp
Motel is clean. Downside is hidden fees. If you have a dodge ram twin cab pick up, be prepared to pay $79.00 for parking. They don't tell you up front. I was understanding parking was $63.00 per night. Prob cheaper to pay a parking ticket. Also, they charge $75.00 per night for incidental fees. I am still waiting for the balance to be put back into my account. I will not stay here again

Yelp
For the amount I paid for this room I expected a really nice hotel. The room was just ok. I was disappointed there was no coffee maker in the room, forcing me to buy Starbucks, and I don't like their coffee, but it's in the hotel and I needed a coffee. I ordered room service it was $60 and the quality of the food was so poor it should've been $10! I got a lobster roll that was supposed to have hot butter but I think they forgot it because it was dry lobster, WITH SHELL in it! How unpleasant to bite into tasteless lobster and it end up being a hard shell. Even worse the bun was burnt to a crisp. It was black, why would a chef/cook look at that and find it acceptable to serve? It was disgusting. The whole weekend was about $800c, what a waste of money. I would've been better off at a budget hotel. I would never stay here again and possibly never stay at a Doubletree again.

Yelp
Nice Double Tree located conveniently close to both the Commons, shopping and the financial district. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was large and clean. Fitness center was smallish but they also have access to the YMCA next door. Breakfast buffet was decent size but not as large as some other Double Tree's I've stayed at.
