DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston - Downtown

Neil, Jackie, and Kira all were wonderful! Helped make checking in seamless and helping with additional guests being adding to the reservation. Made sure house keeping cleaned the room everyday. In a very confident location, five minute walk, to “the T”. Live music in the lobby was a nice touch for Friday’s and Saturday’s. Would highly recommend staying here for your visit to Boston!

This was a post-overseas flight rest stop. I arrived close to midnight with massive jet lag and went to sleep. The room was large, the bathroom was good-sized, everything worked, and the bed was comfortable. The heater took a while to kick in, but once it did, I was plenty warm. Friendly staff and Starbucks in the lobby were a great way to start the day.

We enjoyed our day. Room was nice but, needs to be updated. Tiffany at the restaurant was lovely and looked after us. I wasn’t expecting that she was on her own especially with room service. I’m F&B duty manager in Ireland. There should be 2 staff on the floor along with room service. It would make her working life easier to have extra staff on duty at the same time as it’s busy during the evening. But it was a lovely stay.

Ideally located for the theater district—an easy 10 minute walk. Also, an inexpensive Uber ride to Fenway Park. Front desk and valet were all very helpful and friendly. Ordered breakfast to the room both mornings and the food and service were good. Room was basic but it was clean and comfortable. Overall, a solid hotel.

So here’s the simple bit, the room was lovely and clean. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful, and the barman was really chatty and cool and made delicious espresso martinis 😁 But what made it that extra special was Ron from the front desk team who helped us with our bags. He was such a lovely young man who had a long chat with us. This hotel made the last night of what’s been an amazing holiday. This was much better than the Boston Park plaza and we would highly recommend this to anyone.

I do NOT recommend staying at this hotel. I spotted a pest in my room just 2 hours after checking in, informed the manager on duty, and requested to end my stay at the hotel. Instead of accommodating this fair request as many other customer service-oriented establishments would do, they tried to strong-arm me into staying and switching rooms, despite me saying I was not comfortable with that. Both the manager on duty and general manager insisted that they would charge me for one night’s stay, plus a cancellation fee, whether or not I stayed. I left and will be disputing their charge and filing a complaint with Hilton corporate. PS - I can also confirm that the hotel is generally dated and not well-maintained, and the neighborhood is indeed sketchy at night.

Honestly very comfy bed and pillows. Room was very spacious. The bathroom was a little tight - the shower stall in particular was very small. Very friendly staff and the room was very clean. They do have complementary toiletries, but you have to get them at the front desk - they aren't just in the room. There's a parking garage next door that is cheaper than the valet at the hotel.

Great staff and customer service in a dated worn property in need of a major refresh. Food on property was limited. AC in lobby not operational. Carpet needed refresh across the board. Was not a 4 star property.
