DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Iquitos

Doubletree in Iquitos has vibe of a flashy hotel. I would not say it is 5 stars even though it classifies itself that way. It’s more like a 3 stars hotel. ||||As an English speaker I found it very difficult to communicate with most of their dining staff. ||||Despite daily efforts to explain very simple food orders, 5 days in a row, the restaurant staff and chef had tremendous challenges being attentive, and following my instructions, even though I wrote it out and translated it in Spanish. ||||The managers of the restaurant had this challenge as well and it took 3 hours one day to get my order after discussing it with the dining restaurant managers. ||They seemed easily frustrated and disinterested in providing a high quality of service, 5 star service, or stretching themselves to do a good job. ||The same with the cleaning and prep of the bedrooms. The towels smelled really bad. ||||I don’t think they are interested in improving things but at least I can share my experience. ||||For people wanting a nice place I would suggest 251 BLVD Riverside apartments along the river. The spaces are beautiful, half the cost of doubletree, and you are 1 block away from all the restaurants and cafes, and just 3 blocks from Doubletree if you want to go to their restaurant. ||The peace, care and beauty in this space is wonderful in comparison to the hotel.

The Double Tree Hotel is a five star hotel in Iquitos. The only hotel to stay in while in the city. I have been staying at this hotel for the past 16 years when it was the Hotel El Dorado. I work in the Amazon with a remote river community. I stay in the jungle for weeks at a time. When I finally make it to Iquitos, I am fondly and warmly greeted by everyone. As a Hilton member, the hotel tries to upgrade my room which usually they do. It’s a treat. My room is very clean and luxurious as you expect of a Hilton. You have a tea pot in your room which I find charming. The restaurant is also five star. The menu is diverse, food is delicious and the meals are a great price. They have the best breakfast I have ever eaten! There is a swimming pool and nightly entertainment. It is located at the heart of the city in the Plaza de Armas. A very safe part of the city to stroll at night. In my room, I received a letter from the manager. It made me feel|special and very welcomed. As I was about to go to the airport, the manager, Mr. Giofranco Bassanini approached me with his card and asked me about my Hilton experience. It was such a nice finish to a lovely stay. Rudy, who is the events manager checked on me daily to make sure all was well with my stay. When you are far from home, being in a hotel like this with everything being wonderful I give this lovely hotel and it’s wonderful staff 10 stars or more!!!

We state e here with a large delegación. The arquitecture is unique and original reflecting the history of the place. The breakfast was abundant, varied, besutufully presented and out of order . The staff was nice and friendly. It had the particular jungle smell but that was expected is on the jungle

All the reviews in the past few years regarding the extreme loudness are true! It’s already midnight right now and my whole family still can’t sleep at all. The live band just downstairs is so loud that it sounds like coming directly out of your room TV… Apparently the hotel management knows it since the event is organized by the hotel itself, but due to some benefit they don’t plan to take any action to address this issue for their room guests, many of whom will need to get up early on the next day morning for Amazon. Oh man, I feel like our adventure already started tonight lol

BE WARNED. This is an extremely loud hotel. There were street performers outside of our room (5th floor) and we could hear them like they were performing right next to us. They want on until well past midnight and the hotel couldn’t do anything about it. Blasting music. Then at 6am on SATURDAY morning, there was a huge military parade right in the middle of the square with a band and AV system that also could not have been louder. Staff is very nice and the rooms are fine. But everyone should be aware of this. It completely ruined our experience.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Iquitos! The hotel offers comfort, great amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere that made our time in the jungle city even more memorable.||A special shout-out to Marijoset from the reservations department—she went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth for me and my friends. Always kind, responsive, and ready to help with any request, she truly made us feel taken care of.||Thank you, Hilton Iquitos, for the excellent service and hospitality. Looking forward to coming back!

This was our 4th or 5th stay at the Hilton Iquitos, and with each visit, we find new reasons to return. On this most recent trip, we were pleasantly surprised to see several improvements that made our experience even more enjoyable. All the seating around the pool area has been upgraded — new chairs, tables, and loungers — and the overall pool maintenance is noticeably better. Everything feels refreshed and well cared for. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. Chef Yian Chin truly impressed us with his creative and innovative dishes. We had seen some of his work on Facebook, which made us even more excited to try his cuisine in person. My favorite was the causa with lomo saltado — a perfect fusion of tradition and bold new flavor. (Sharing a photo below!) Special thanks as always to MariaJoset, who made the booking process smooth and welcoming. She always makes us feel at home and even helped us with an early checkout. Also, a shout-out to Luisa at reception, who made our check-in quick and seamless. We truly enjoyed our time here — and without a doubt, we’ll be back again. Thank you, Hilton Iquitos!

Double tree hotel was better than expected. The staff, food, pool, and suit were amazing. Great service. I recommend the spa service too
