Hotel is good, clean and comfy. It is located in the heart of old Toronto close to all highlights in the city of Toronto. Staff are friendly and nice. Very cooperative. Check in check out was quick. There is a gym and swimming pool as well which is nice. I also received a hand written card as an apology for an issue with the fridge. This is a rare and nice gesture which I really appreciate. I am keeping that card as a souvenir. The only remained issue was the A/C of my room on those hot days that was not functioning well, made it difficult to go to sleep at night. I talked to other guests on other floors and I realized it is not a general issue. So, I assume something was wrong in the air conditioning on the floor I stayed in that could not make the set temperature. Aside from that, it is a nice hotel I may stay there in the next trip as well.

We loved our stay! Everyone at the hotel was super friendly. The room was nice and the entire hotel was clean. Unless we had super quiet neighbors, I never heard any noise outside our room (unlike other hotels where you can hear people in the next room). We swam in the pool every day and enjoyed it. We ate dinner at the restaurant one evening and it was delicious. The location is great, being only a few blocks from the subway station. I would definitely stay here again!

Friendly, welcoming staff at reception and in the restaurant. Excellent service, clean, quiet rooms comfortable beds. 4 stars because their parking cannot accommodate a pickup truck, I had to park underground at City Hall, those spots can barely fit a truck, if my mirrors didn’t fold in, I wouldn’t have had a spot. Room I was in 2221, was quite small, very dimly lit, even with curtains open. Not a big deal for 1 night, but if I was there for longer or having to spend any lengthy amount of time in the room working, I’m not sure I could.

Google
Prime location in the heart of downtown, with affordable prices. Super fast service, anything you ask for they respond to you right away. We got greeted with a welcome text upon arrival and anything we require we can simply just text that number. Love the way communication is done. Would definitely come back again.

Google
Great location and well designed suites with a good size kitchen full size fridge, and plenty of space in the living room for my 10 year old to sleep on the fold out couch. Great views and good menu at the restaurant. The breakfast staff and the evening staff at the restaurant and bar were great and always remembered us. Easy parking and top notch staff at the front desk. Anjani, our housekeeper during our 6 night stay, made it extra special by greeting us on our way out every day and taking exceptional care inside the room to detail everything perfectly, including arranging the stuffed animals so it was all perfect when we got back each day.

Google
Clean and attractive overall, but the gym is extremely ill-equipped (no weight machines, mostly just treadmills and free weights) and poorly laid out. The two closely spaced entrance doors to the gym with a ramp in between is incredibly wheelchair-unfriendly. The rooms are small, even the supposedly accessible one.

Well I must say the service was anything but good. This hotel had a bad smell around the front desk. I wish the manager was paid a little more and then possibly his attitude would be better. He was very belittling when my key wouldn’t work and I was actually on the wrong floor. Totally my fault but the manager handled it very poorly. He stood there with the new cards held up in the air trying to prove he was superior I guess. On a brighter note the cookies are very good not worth the trip though. If your looking for a nice clean helpful hotel I can’t recommend this one.

Google
Super location to get anywhere downtown walking. Close to subway, streetcar to go to other parts of city. Rooms very clean and nice. Staff great. Actually acknowledged my daughters' birthdays (which is why we were in Toronto). We came back after a day out to surprise birthday cheesecake for both. Were super fast when we requested extra blankets. Overall, very pleased with stay!

Yelp
During our stay in Toronto, we called the DoubleTree our home. This hotel was pretty nicely located just about a 15 minute walk from the main train station (Union Station). The location also offered many dining options. And to top it off, like any of the Doubletree's, you can get their famous warm chocolate chip cookies anytime you want during your stay. Being a Hilton rewards member we actually got notice a few days before check in that we had been upgraded to a suite, which was a luxurious surprise. The room was massive, I think over 500 sq feet with a separate bedroom, and living area with a full size fridge and cooktop. It definitely would have been nice if we had stayed longer, but we really didn't get to utilize the space, though i appreciate the gesture. The rooms were spacious, they, clean, and very comfortable The hotel did have an indoor pool, and saunas. Unfortunately there was a sauna in the men's changing room and one in the women's, not a coed, which I thought was kind of dumb. Bring a quiet night in the workout area, my wife snuck me into the women's sauna so we could sit together (shhhh). We didn't stay longer as it was incredibly hot, but nice to sit and clear out your pours briefly. The front desk staff were welcoming the entire trip, helping make sure we had everything we needed, and keeping us stocked on cookies.I was surprised to learn the international Doubletrees offer a free continental breakfast, you don't get those at the DTs in America. The breakfast was ok, your typical continental breakfast, we made the most of it, and it helped get our day started Based on this visit I'd absolutely stay here again if I ever find myself in Toronto. 5 stars, for sure

Yelp
When we checked in, there was a nice receptionist that gave us cookies. I've never been to a hotel that gives you COOKIES when you check in. The hotel is very clean and modern, everyone is nice and friendly, and our room, room 319 was great, but it had a few things. The shower was weird, it randomly turned cold mid shower, and toilet sounded like it was always leaking some water, but the room was clean, free water bottles, a coffee machine, and a big, long work desk. The ac was the thing that made me sleep comfortably. It made those loud noises that made me fall asleep in minutes. Also, the snack bar is nice and the restaurant is great. I ate new things every day with some coffee and it was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Overall really recommend

Yelp
Good location, close to a lot. Parking is $45 a night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Ice is on the even numbered floors, and I would suggest requesting to face the front of the hotel. There is no actual closet, but an armoire to hang clothes. Decent size room, well spaced out. I love the height of the king bed, and the 4 pillows are very comfortable. Not too firm and not too soft. There is a mini fridge, but no microwave. The wall unit HVAC is controlled by the T-Stat on the wall. One thing I didn't like were the slots to open the drawers and armoire doors. You need tiny fingers to fit in there, this was not enjoyable. Walking distance to quite a bit, I did not need a car. Ultimately, I will stay here when I return.

Yelp
Five stars out of five stars! From making the reservations with Tim on the phone, to jing as the concierge giving directions instructions and advice, to Harry checking us in at the front lobby, providing valuable service and cookies! Made our stay unbelievable! Fantastic service! Very friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Excellent Location. Around all the eating places and lots of shopping nearby. The hotel is nice. Check in staff was excellent. The rooms are tired tho. B++ Had an issue with plumbing and all sorted out but when you come to rest i would not want to deal with any issues that takes time from my personal time here. As there is many hotels in the area i would not choose this one again.

Yelp
Worst experience at a Hilton property I have ever had. I am a Gold Hilton Honors member. Booked this property several weeks in advance. My flight from Florida arrived very late at night (nearly 1am). Took a Lyft from the Airport with my family. We arrived at the hotel at around 1:30am to find the hotel had cancelled my reservation and gave our room to someone else, and they are "sold out". 1:30am, in a different country, and no hotel to stay at. The night manager was apologetic, but not helpful. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone with Hilton to get us a new reservation at the Hilton Toronto around the block. Apparently, Christopher, the front desk manager can and will cancel anyone's reservation WITHOUT NOTICE and give the room to someone else. No phone call, no email. Both Hilton customer service and the manager at the Hilton were stunned by the actions of this hotel. DO NOT BOOK HERE

Yelp
Nice Exterior. Wierd $25 for getting into the room early. Never heard of that for a hotel like this. Hilton really? The town seems safe but I did notice that the elevators don't require a room key...so people can get upstairs fairly eThe room is comfortable, does the job. There's a market place open 24hrs for snacks etc. The view from the room is amazing every morning and evening. You can see the ice skaters. Very pretty. Concierge: SUUUUPER Nice people and helpful staff..BUT be mindful of the tours they recommend. The tour recommended to me was described as a private tour...it's really just a drop off...there weren't clear instructions on how to meet up after free time and other guests costs us an hour of time. Also, the car seemed like it needed some maintenance. Tour guide nice, just not the best tour experience I've had. Room/Interior: Decent size, comfy bed...and free warm yummy cookies at the front desk.

Yelp
I stayed here on business and had a good experience. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I was very happy with the quality of the room. Parking was a challenge, but I think that you are always going to run into that in big cities. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Yelp
Stayed here for a work trip cause we had an event. I've had nothing but great experiences at Hiltons before, this one changed my mindset entirely... Slept at 12-1AM and woke up at 5AM cause I had to use the bathroom, went back to bed and I saw 1 bug thinking "oh it's just 1 bug, let's kill it and go back to sleep." (Mind you, I've never came across a bed bug in my entire life). Something told me to flip the other pillows and came to find out there were HANDFUL of bugs, something I never ever came across EVER. Came to find out they were bed bugs!! There were adult sizes to mini baby red dots. Killed all of them and moved my stuff away from the bed. Had to get some sleep so I ended up using a makeshift bed with the rolling computer chair and some table cause I was working the event. 1 hour passed, exhausted and not mentally prepared, but I had to get ready for the event, went down and told the front desk POLITELY/DISCREETLY about the situation cause I didn't want to alert any guests and they said they would tell a manager right when they get in and move me into a new room. They called me during the event in which I wasn't able to pick up but I called back and the front desk said they would let tell manager call me back. 6-8 hours later no call back, went back to the hotel and wanted to follow up with the front desk, I was able to take to a manager, Asian lady who said they would "investigate it" and let me know details but they moved my things for me. The most underwhelming compensation EVER, I've had McDonald's give me free food for forgetting something. I got into a new room with the same layout, that's it. No free breakfast, no upgrade, nothing. Could've at least given another free cookie? All in all, checked out with a new mental scar of bed bugs at hotels, as well as potentially a few bed bug travelers (not dealing with anymore bites, thankfully) ALSO no call back about the situation, it's been a month already.. What investigation needs to be done? I have all the proof here.

Yelp
Excellent hotel. I was only here for one night. The hotel was very very clean, great location, very friendly and courteous staff. My room was phenomenal! It was basically a studio apartment, it even had a walk in closet. Very clean nice decorative aesthic. If I am back in Toronto I would unequivocally stay here. I definitely enjoyed my stay.

Yelp
What a great hotel. Just a warning the parking area is kinda tight. You can't beat a well maintained, Freindly staff hotel that serves fresh warm cookies at check in. They even gave me a breakfast buffet for 2 voucher since it was my birthday. Great place to stay, I would highly recommend it. It is also walking distance to china town and little Italy. There so much to do close by that we never used our car again till we departed.

Yelp
Okay, I am a Hilton member and usually recommend their reliability and service. But I implore you... whatever you do, DO NOT STAY AT THIS DOUBLE TREE! I don't even know where to begin on what went wrong. I suppose I will go in the order of the most unacceptable. Most unacceptable was the cleaning person that came into the room 2 hours before checkout without being let in just to ask if we were leaving today. Granted, she did the knock-while-opening but you don't just walk into someone's room without giving them a half second at least to answer the door. Second most unacceptable was the insane howling noise in the hallway all night. I don't know if it was wind or what but it sounded like the pitch of a fire alarm. You could still hear it in the room while trying to sleep. Next on the list is that they lock all four lobby-area bathrooms at night "for cleaning." I awakened early at 5 am and needed to use the restroom after a long night of drinks and Indian food. (I'm sure some married guys can relate to being in a hotel with your wife and needing to do your business in the worst way and going to the lobby bathroom so as not to subject your wife to any unpleasantries). But for some reason the first bathroom was locked. So was the second. And third. So I ask the front desk and they say they close them all night "for cleaning." I ask if I can be let into one if it wasn't being cleaned. He asked "are you a guest?" "Yes" I say. "And you can't just go in your room?" So I have to explain to the guy that id prefer not to with what was about to go down. Also, breakfast is not included and it's a $32 CAD buffet. Parking isn't a bad deal tho. $40-something a night. But there's a Hilton garden inn about a mile away. Just go there.

Yelp
The DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto offers exceptional comfort, modern amenities, a prime location, and excellent customer service for a memorable stay.

Yelp
The front desk staff was great, the rooms are clean believe it or not we actually had a halfway decent a few. Parking sucks but that's expected with a hotel located inside a big city. I don't stay at Hilton's any longer so Doubletree it is. Plus they have the cookies! Oh for the record if your car is over 6 feet tall you will be parking down the street around the block.

Yelp
My stay was okay. Here are some pros and cons I experienced: Pros: -- Really great location. 3min walk to the big TORONTO photo spot. 4min walk to Eaton Centre. 20min walk to CN tower. There's also a lot of places to eat right next to the hotel. -- Air conditioning kept me warm during the winter and the mini fridge kept my food cold. -- Free wifi (upgrade available for a fee) -- Room was really clean. I like that the hair dryer was powerful and actually useful! -- The view from my room was great. Beautiful city view. I wish the window was floor to ceiling but it was normal sized for a hotel. -- Staff is really nice. Front desk let me check in early on a weekday. Cons: -- It's not the most modern hotel. Gym and pool are dated. -- There seems to be a few "optional" fees. They're small but they add up. For instance, the free wifi is too slow to stream shows and movies on a personal device. You can upgrade for $4 a day. To see the TV guide you have to download an app and pay extra as well. I've never been to a hotel that just doesn't have the name of movies/shows playing on the channel menu? -- There isn't really a nice area to lounge or eat food. There is a small business center next to the elevators and a restaurant upstairs. That's about it. The restaurant was frequently closed when I was there (during covid) Other notes: Due to COVID, the cleaning is every other day.

Yelp
This downtown Toronto hotel is in the belly of the 6ix and only blocks away from the Eaton Centre, CN Tower, Scotiabank Arena and the Kensington Market. You are definitely paying for proximity in the mid-range hotel. It is rated Accessible and but not pet-friendly. Front desk staff are courteous, friendly and professional; be nice at a minimum and you'll get that in return. This is my first visit to this venue. I'm only here to visit 3 guests staying in 3 rooms. I can't speak first-hand of the room experience but each person said their room was nice. Just keeping my social distance with the COVID-19 situation and the safety of all. Paid daily parking is available. WiFi is free for guests. Amenities include a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool & sauna. Hemisphere Restaurant Bistro is currently closed due to pandemic restrictions but their are a few restaurants within walking distance offering takeout only. DoubleTree has a 24-hour market in the lobby area if you need a quick snack or beverage.

Yelp
The staff is great and the hotel is beautiful, this has been an amazing vacation. We have needed some help to get through it and the hotel staff have been at the ready each time. The location is amazing, everything you want to see in Toronto is just a quick walk away.

Yelp
Our 26th floor room is great. Larger space we can move around in and bump into each. More convenient for our needs centered at nearby airport. Friendly staff throughout. I like!
google avatar

Bob C.

Yelp
Excellent hotel especially the staff. The front desk is very professional, friendly and the check in process is quick. The concierge is very helpful at getting quality transportation in a timely manner. It's a quick walk to the Nathan Phillips Square/ City Hall area, which is a nice, social gathering place. It is centrally located with many restaurants nearby and there is a small grocery store a half a block away on Dundas, though there are snacks and beverages available in the lobby (no liquor though.) My only complaint is the doors slam pretty hard and that can interfere with sleep a bit. But the positives override that, in my opinion.

Yelp
I am listed on the Double Tree by Hilton Toronto Facebook site as a Top Fan, from our stay in September 2022. However our second stay is not turning out to be as memorable. The Double Tree by Hilton Toronto Downtown really dropped the ball with crazy unexplained 6:55 "wake-up calls". First we were advised that engineering would come up and look at phone. Then when following up with an evening staff person named Selen later tonight and was told to unplug phone (is that really a solution)? We have experienced similar with Hyatt Las Vegas and they offered a room discount as compensation. Selen offered a complimentary breakfast but as we have an early flight will be in no need of that. We were forced awake by wake-up calls that we never asked for and as my wife has trouble sleeping normally, therefore she and my daughter including myself have not had a restful sleep for past 2 nights... This shouldn't have happened in the first place let alone two consecutive mornings. We have had to call repeatedly (or chat online) for face cloths, hand towels, pillows, sheets for sofa bed, blankets, coffee, creamer, water etc. The room we were in does not have a door and I believed when I chatted with Luisa I was getting similar or better room to what we had in September. AND again this morning October 13th another 6:55 a.m wake-up call on our phone!! So THREE mornings in a row. While I was checking out a Manger came to our room. My wife said that he mentioned that the wake-up call problem had been happening and they thought they'd resolved it. I was led to believe this was out of the ordinary?? Unfortunately will not be coming back to Double Tree by Hilton Toronto again. **** Umesh Srivastava the GM has replied to me as I'd had communication with the staff via chat. And he is taking steps to remedy the situation! - So family will once again be a patron of the Double Tree by Hilton Downtown Toronto

Yelp
Went to Double Tree for a couple of nights and was immediately greeted with YuYa at the desk. When I say he was the nicest man I've ever met I mean it. Give this man a raise!! He was super sweet and was very helpful. To add on he was able manage to get us in the hotel for an additional night despite there being no rooms. Thankful for this kind mans magic! GIVE YUYA A RAISE!!!!!!!

Maisha R.

Yelp
Located in a good location in downtown Toronto, this Doubletree had multiple restaurants on site and a conference center. The lobby was seemingly large enough to accommodate the guests and check-in and out was easy. Our room was small, clean, and comfortable on the Hilton Honors floor. The bathroom clearly needed a few renovations as there was no drain and each time we stepped into the tub, it shifted. It felt like we were stepping on a bath fitter. Each morning we enjoyed a well-stocked breakfast buffet that had rotating pancake and fresh toast options, eggs, potatoes, fruit, vegetables, cereals, pastries, and coffee/juices. Service here was excellent, from the servers at breakfast to the housekeepers.

John A.

Yelp
I wasn't too impressed with this DoubleTree; you are paying for location as opposed to the actual hotel amenities. I believe the best thing about this hotel was actually the sauna and the pool. The hotel offers breakfast at a cost and also there's none of the famous doubletree cookies. There is alternative parking closer if you decide to park offsite. There are restaurants nearby as well as a mall a few blocks up that is very nice. As I mentioned, you are paying for the location. With a few modern upgrades this hotel would be great...the staff is friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations I just think COVID has kinda made this place feel somewhat like a dead zone lol. In a crunch I would stay again...but certainly not for long term.

Yelp
The best thing about this hotel is how close it is to everything. My daughter had a tour of U of T, and it was a quick walk from here. We found out pretty fast that it was a quick walk to about everywhere. It was also close to a subway entrance & for real close to a streetcar stop (make sure to buy tickets for the streetcar at a subway station-it's the same pass. You can't buy them on the streetcar or at a stop. Near the waterfront there's no subway or place to buy tickets which means a 2 mile walk.). The view was great, and the bed was comfortable. We ate breakfast there, and that was good (especially the potatoes!!). The room was small, but that was expected for the location. Rooms come with a fridge, also nice. We also found some terrific restaurants close by- try the cafe landwer. The area was mostly quiet, and streets seemed very safe to walk as we did so frequently. I recommend & will use it again hopefully if my daughter gets accepted to U of T! Only negatives- no easy place to eat take out in room, so floor it was. Only chair was a (comfy) desk chair- wish there had been something else to sit on other than bed. Parking garage can be difficult to maneuver in if vehicle is larger (I have SUV) but I managed not to hit anything so all was good. Make sure to not have a larger roof rack. Daughter also didn't know how to work thermostat - as I froze at 64 F I realized she had turned on the fan & the outside freezing temps were constantly being brought in. So recommend banning thermostat access to your kids.

Yelp
We picked this hotel because the reviews said it was located near everything. This is not true...... We walked past many hotels including a cheaper Hilton to get to the restaurants and shows. The staff was rude snapping at my husband when he was asking for help. We will stay somewhere else next time. The positive was the room was very clean.
google avatar

Cam T.

Yelp
This hotel has a very nice set up. One thing I did not like was that we were on the 11th floor and the closest ice machine was on the 12th floor so it was a bit of a hassle to get ice for any of our drinks. That being said, the people at the front desk were very friendly and amazing and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend this hotel, but I think it would be a good idea for them to get an ice machine on every floor. Cam

Yelp
i just wanted to say i stayed a few more nights at the doubletree recently. I had an even better time. I wanted to give special kudos to the cleaning staff. They did an exceptional job of keeping the hotel and room very clean. The front desk were friendly and efficient as well making the stay even better than my first visit. They added TSN 2 and the wifi was very efficient as well. The room was warmer as well which was important given the chilly temperatures of Toronto

Yelp
We stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton downtown Toronto about a week before Christmas. My husband's office holiday party was very close to the hotel, so we decided to make a weekend of it and stay for 2 nights. We were greeted with smiles as soon as we walked in to the hotel. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful and the check-in process was very quick and painless. We were told we could leave our car out front while we took our stuff up to our room, which was great as we weren't parking at the hotel. We left the hotel to drop our car off elsewhere and received a text almost immediately asking us how our room was and if they could do anything else to make our stay more enjoyable. The only slight hiccup was that the ice machine on our floor wasn't dispensing any ice, but I mentioned it to the front desk staff the next morning and it was fixed right away. Our room was lovely and airy, bright and clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had a nice view of the city. The location is perfect, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in very close walking distance and public transit practically right outside the front door. I honestly have no complaints. We both enjoyed our stay and we plan to go back. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Stayed 1 night at this hotel and it was enough. We are still dealing with this pandemic and everywhere in the hotel they have "practice safe distance" stickers but they don't bother cleaning the main areas of this hotel like doors, rolling door windows, elevator buttons....Seemed like the front doors had not been cleaned in a couple of days. The coffee station by the check-in desk was disgusting. The cabinets had coffee and dirt encrusted in the doors. Unpleasant smell as soon as you walk in. And then we go to the room.....smelly pillows, no usb plugs anywhere (we are in the year 2021) and biggest air conditioning unit ever that shook the room when it started. Leaving the next day at over $200 for a night on a monday is crazy!!!! Note to the hotel...you need to revamp your hotel to the year 2021...

Yelp
Stayed here for a few nights over the weekend for a special occasion , Ahaha if our event was not happening downtown, I would never choose to come here, You can barely get any sleep .. you're at the heart of MADNESS AND HEAR everything outside. Thankfully they gave us earbuds to wear so you can definitely block the outside noise .. it's quieter if you come during the week but forget the weekend it's a zoo. Rooms were great a bit small but we had all the essentials we needed. Front desk is ok not the greatest.. plus who the hell charges for Coffee !? Seriously.. you are paying over 200$ a night and you're going to charge me for self served coffee !? It's not even the money it's the principle.. who charges on top of such an expensive stay 2$ for a coffee that's ridiculous. It wasn't even good coffee!!! The parking charges were another problem.. barely any parking even after riding down the garage on the 6-7 floor and having to pay over 100$ total for parking is never fun. The only amazing part of our stay was housekeeping, miss Angeline was Amazing she made sure to go above and beyond for us and made our stay much more enjoyable. She's a great person and definitely took great care of us and always had all our sheets and towels ready for us. Thank you for your kind hospitality and making our experience a lot better for us.

Yelp
Horrible customer service If you try to call reception they just hang up on you Rooms are extremely dirty they do not meet any standards never mind covid standered doesn't even look like they change the sheets refused to fix any of these issues blame customer saying well you shouldn't of travel then. We were traveling home for a funeral. We are not leaving Canada again afterwards. We were literally treated like we were in jail. You could not pay me to stay here ever again it is completely ruined this brand for me I will not stand any of their hotels again

Yelp
PROS: Gluten Free Bread Comfortable Beds (Mostly Queens) CONS: Horrible service Massive Construction on building starting at 5:30AM. Would not refund one night due to wanting to check-out because of construction. Mold in Bathrooms All in all this review is a bit different, It usually takes a lot for me to rate 1 star on a hotel, especially one that's charging $300+ a night. To sum it up if you want a refund or to check out early because of the construction or for any reason this hotel will not do it. I was told multiple times to speak with Matthew Smith the revenue manager, I went to the front desk multiple times to speak to him, he would not show up or come out of his office. They kept telling me they will get with him and then leave a message for me. Matthew Smith, I hope you read this and next time come speak to a valued customer who traveled all the way across the country to stay at this hotel. Our entire trip to Toronto was tainted by this one action of not being able to service one customer for one night because of a multitude of hotel issues. The rooms are super small, the construction is unbearable (cannot sleep in after 5:30AM), the staff is rude, also the parking garage is a nightmare. There was mold in our shower, we finally sucked up the $300 loss and took our business to The Annadore House, I HIGHLY recommend checking out this place first before this hotel at all costs. Stay away from this Hotel, Matthew Smith the manager wants nothing to do with guests or guest interactions. Also, please don't comment some garbage about service on my review for your benefit, you know you screwed over a customer so suck it up and deal with it.

Yelp
Great location, decent price. It's a little run down/older than I think it should be. The sheets were dingy, not dirty by any stretch, but they didn't evoke that clean crisp linen feeling that some other hotels do. The towels were at that worn down kind of harsh stage where the pile is no longer plush. And they also had stains. I didn't notice it being all that loud, but I live between two very busy streets in a 100 year old condo building in Milwaukee so I may be desensitized to noise. The pool, like the rooms, seemed run down and a little sad. It's not an outdoor pool and it doesn't really have much natural light so it's a bit depressing. And it was heavily chlorinated. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't speak to that.

Yelp
This is an okay place. Stayed here by default because stupid Hilton cancelled my reservation at the Hilton a couple of blocks away. I had previously cancelled a reservation at the Doubletree when I booked my room at the Hilton and they miraculously re-instated that one on my HHonors app. It was just weird and I wasn't happy about the change. Anyway, the lady who checked me in was nice and listened to me complain. The lobby was warm and looked a little messy. There was no cookie for me at check in and I was offered a voucher but I was in no mood to "come back later" when they might have a cookie. Elevators are undergoing refurbishment based on a sign near the elevator bank. It was excrutiating waiting for them. When one would come, it would be packed and since I was staying on the 19th floor it was a long, slow ride to get there when I had to stop at every other floor. The room itself was nice. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice. Everything was super clean. It was quiet and the drapes did a good job of blocking out light. Wi-fi was exceptionally weak. It would cut out every five minutes on my iPad. The gym was pretty nice. One treadmill wasn't working but everything else worked. They had towels and also wipes to clean off the equipment after you sweated all over it. The location is fairly convenient to things downtown. Very easy walk to Rogers Centre, Union Station or ACC. Very close to St Patrick subway stop. Dundas St itself is a little sketchy after dark but I didn't feel unsafe. This is a decent place. My room was comfortable so I can't complain.

Yelp
The accommodations were acceptable but the view was terrible. And the parking was a nightmare. I was truly intimidated by the narrow spots , pillars and winding lanes. Underground. I thought I was gonna have a panic attack and vomit.

Yelp
Stayed here for one night back in March and it was very comfortable. Great location, clean room, comfy bed, and top notch service. The room was a little on the smaller side compared to some Hiltons I've stayed in in the past but it was perfect for one evening. We were in town to see some friends play a show and were driving back home right after the performance (around midnight). We didn't want to leave our bags in the car, so we stowed them at the hotel after our morning checkout and they kept them nice and safe for us, including our laptops and some of my husband's camera equipment. There is a parking underground for hotel guests. It's very tight and a little creepy going so deep into the ground, but we managed to find parking 6 levels down. It was incredibly tough to back into the spot but we managed. If you want to avoid that you can always do valet. Only complaint is, if you're driving, the temporary parking area when checking in is kind of confusing. The street is a tow zone but the pull up area in front of the hotel looks like sidewalk, so we didn't really know where to go. We ended up putting our flashers on for a few minutes and stayed in the street as we were checking in and setting up our parking, and it was fine. But some clearer signage would probably be helpful. Otherwise it's a great spot. And high five for those warm Double Tree cookies at check in.

Yelp
Excellent, excellent, excellent stay! I have stayed at many Double Trees over the years and they never seem to disappoint. The Double Tree downtown Toronto was no exception. We booked this hotel off a third party website and got it for an absolute steal during the height of tourist season. Upon check-in the staff was super friendly and helpful offering up warm cookies to start our stay off on a happy note. We were quickly given our room keys and parking pass and off we went. Parking was very convenient located right underneath the hotel with just an elevator ride up to the room. Rooms were super clean, comfy and most importantly sound proof. There was even massive construction going on right next door and at no point did we hear a peep. I also must say that housekeeping was very nice and very on top of things during our stay. This Double Tree also offered a restaurant, gym, pool and a very nice business center that really came in handy during on our trip. It is centrally located to most attractions and only a 5 minute walk to the train station. What more can you really ask for? I definitely recommend staying here when in Toronto and wouldn't hesitate to stay again myself next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Great hotel. Great and friendly staff. Great location. Horribly disgusting room service! Decent wifi that fails at times but overall is ok. We came to town for the Labor Day weekend and found a rather busy Toronto. The hotel is an easy walk from Union Station or you can take the subway one stop from Union Station. It's location is ideal as it's a short walk to the CN Tower and the baseball stadium. It's about 2-3 blocks from the mall and art museum. The hotel is clean and the rooms are pleasant. Nicely upgraded. They could put more towels in the bathroom but that's a personal opinion. Nice TV where you can plugin your laptop and watch your own movies. The cable does cut in and out which I found really annoying. The AC works great which is nice on the hot and HUMID days we encountered. We ordered room service one night and decided on one of the "Chef's Combo's. Pizza and Wings with 4 cans of soda pop. For $33 plus 15% gratuity and $4 delivery charge I would have expected in the minimum a freshly made pizza. In one word, the pizza was disgusting! They would be better off not offering room service if this is what they are serving up. Do yourself a favor and walk around the block for some food choices or order delivery. They should be ashamed. I will say that the man who delivered the food was very friendly! It's not his fault. I will be back to Toronto and I would happily stay at this hotel. I just won't be eating in my room! Oh! The cookies upon arrival are tasty!!!

Yelp
Great hotel. Staff were so kind and helpful to me as a lone female traveller and I felt confident and safe. I will definitely book here again. The on-site restaurant was really top notch and again the staff treated me so well I was sad to leave. It is centrally located and from what I researched, reasonably priced although still pricy, but it is Toronto. The room was very clean, simple and well appointed. I was very happy with my stay and would happily recommend to others.

Yelp
The check-in process could be improved. We booked two rooms, but when we showed up after the standard check-in time of 3pm, only one room was ready. That's fine, that happens. But what happened next was unusual. We requested that they call our cell phone when the 2nd room was ready. The clerk told us that was not a service they offer. The manager was standing right next to them, and didn't say anything. The rooms were clean, and well-maintained. The location is excellent, within walking distance to City Hall and the social-media friendly "TORONTO" sign at Nathan Phillips Square.

Yelp
Drove up to the hotel expecting to be greeted by the bell staff however no one was around to assist with baggage. Since I travel with my disabled wife, help with my baggage is very important. The hotel has no bell staff. This hotel does not have room service, laundry or other services that one would expect in a 4 star hotel. It says it has a dining room for dinner but when we went there we were advised to go to the bar for dinner. In the bar at that time was about twenty very loud and boisterous young adults. After some negotiations we were finally allowed to have dinner in the dining room. Then they gave us the menu, it was a piece of paper with about twelve items on it. There were no descriptions of the items but it probably didn't need them since most of the items were very basic such as Caesar salad, fish and chips and cheese cake. The impression I got was that they really did not want to do dinner but were contractually obligated to offer something. The hotel has 7 elevators however in the 3 days I way there, only one side was operating cutting the active elevators to 4. This lead to long waits. There was a coffee maker in the room but when I used it only half of the coffee made it to the cup. The rest flowed down the side of the machine. Since the coffee maker was located in a rimmed tray, I expect that this is a common occurrence. Went down to the lobby where they had a Starbucks machine. Got one cup out before it needed servicing. Do not understand how this hotel got a 4 star rating.

Yelp
Stayed here for a long weekend and I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay. I came in very early for the 3pm check in time (maybe around 11am) but they were able to give me a room. Granted it wasn't the best room for the view but the higher floors we not ready yet because I was too early, but that's on me. The room itself was nice. A lot of lights and a ton of outlets for your electronic devices. It had plenty of space to store you belongings and the bed itself was nice and soft. I have to say this room is a bit cramped compared to the other double trees I've stayed but it still had enough space for my girlfriend and I. The gym is open 24/7 and they also have a pool. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs if you are feeling hungry but don't want to go far. Although the location is great, smack dab in the middle of everything (train, restaurants, landmarks). I would stay here again!

Yelp
This hotel was absolutely amazing!! Matthew Smith was beyond accommodating and welcoming as well as the entire staff! We were in town visiting from Texas and couldn't have picked a better hotel and location. Our room had a gorgeous view with the CN Tower in the distance. The rooms were fresh and inviting. Breakfast was a buffet style and is well worth visiting if you are up in time as there are many wonderful options to choose from. This location is minutes from the Eaton center and many other things to do. Also 3 minutes away you can find the subway and utilize that to get around Toronto very fast. The only downfall I had with this property is the parking garage is EXTREMELY tight for a truck to park. Overall we loved our stay and will 100% be back on our next visit to Toronto.

Yelp
Top notch hotel. All of the details taken care of. Exceptionally clean room. Fine linen. Great comforter. Fridge, TV, work area. Excellent bathroom with quality fixtures that just worked well with beautiful appearance The room was nicely climate controlled and the room smelled clean without too many strong cleaning supplies. I have an serious issue with strong smells, cleaners, and scents. I did not have an issue here. The hotel is very professional and the restaurant looks good as well. I picked up the room at the last minute for a conference just down the road. The room is a smaller room, but too be fair, still plenty of room for what I need to do, and there was some exceptional planning that went into this room to for everything in, and it just works very well. 5 stars.

Yelp
I had a great experience at the Hilton. Good location within a 5 minute walk to the subway. Quick check-in with a nice welcome loot bag (hot chocolate chip cookie, chips and bottles of water). Friendly service! They give you the option to check-in ahead of time too and can even book your room, which was a godsend. As far as possible from the elevator as possible and a king size bed... thank you! Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. Room service was good. Room size is decent and clean. AC/Heat works well albeit somewhat noisy. Good selection of room channels to watch. WI-FI connection was excellent with no issues. Didn't notice any USB ports but I tend to have a USB hub that plugs into a wall as these type of things always happen and convenience for me is key when travelling. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
We had a great experience staying here - we were in the city for a concert and found this hotel on Expedia for a decent price. It is located right downtown, close to all the major attractions and within walking distance to many restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the bed comfortable; no issues at all with our room. Note: you do have to pay $35/night for parking and the parking is in an underground garage which is very tight - if I had an issue, the tight parking would be the only one, but it wasn't bad enough to warrant docking a star. Would recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Let me preface this by saying my husband is a diamond member and we stay at Hiltons everywhere we travel. This is perhaps the worst Hilton property we've stayed at, primarily due to cleanliness. The location is okay and the front desk agent was wonderful. The parking garage is disgusting and difficult to navigate. There is no executive lounge. In our room, all the furniture is dinged up (there are even cracks in the tv!) and there is a nasty stain or something else on the curtains. There was a stain on one of the towels you could see with it just hanging there and there was a hair on the shower curtain. Parts of the wallpaper are bubbling in both the room and bathroom. The room is also very tiny (which is probably normal for downtown Toronto) but still smaller than we were expecting.

Yelp
My room was well appointed and clean. The hotel is recently remodeled and comfortable. My biggest complaints are the erratic climate control and the lack of USB ports (none in the room). Food Quality: I had the breakfast buffet and it was good but not the best double tree buffet that I have had. The hotel loses one star for not having room service as an option. Environment: The environment was great. More green space around the hotel would be nice though. Service: Service was average. The staff were not overly enthusiastic. Appearance: Clean and modern Overall: The hotel looks 4 star but has 2 star amenities. The lack of room service and 1 (sloooooow) elevator hurt my rating of this hotel.

Yelp
Great location. Close to art Museum and Eaton Centre. 20 Minute walk to Cn Tower. Rooms are nice, pretty quiet where I was staying. Nice pool and excersise room, Dry Sauna in locker room. Free hot cookies upon arrival, They are delicious! Little Japan and China town right down the street as well, Kensington Market is about 20 min walk too. Pretty central location to everything in the heart of Downtown. You can walk to union station in about 20 minutes but with bags you might want to uber or take a cab.
