DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru

We had a pleasant impromptu stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Always love their warm cookie. Rooms were clean and love that they have a pillow menu. Widespread of buffet breakfast too. The hallway from Recept to the lifts is a little dated and lightings could improve. Bathroom water sips out probably due to the way the shower door was designed but nothing a bath mat couldn’t fix. Had a drink at the bar but the atmosphere didn’t feel too inviting. Pool was decent but gym is sad. Overall is still a great stay and will check out the Italian restaurant the next time.

We booked this hotel as a quick getaway for one night and wished we had a longer stay! The service from the very start when we got off the Grab and during check-in was superb. We were served by Jun who greeted us so warmly with awesome freshly made warm cookies which made my two young kids really happy. The room was spacious and clean and the Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries in the bathroom were much appreciated too. I was also positively surprised that the TV was so clear and had many different channels to choose from which kept my kids very well entertained. We spent a nice afternoon at the pool where my kids had a great time splashing around. Pity we only remembered the steam room and sauna just before checking out. Will definitely have to try that out the next time we come back! The international and Asian breakfast buffet the next morning was also so impressive! The range and quality of food was amazing and I was once again pleasantly surprised to find out we could have custom fruit juices made on the spot for us. On top of that, I noticed that there was a small indoor playground for restless young children - something totally thoughtful for families with young children to be able to enjoy the buffet for longer periods of time! During the breakfast, a staff came to check in on us and upon learning that we really enjoyed the welcome cookies the day before, she immediately went to get two more for my kids as a surprise treat. Overall 11/10 experience and we can’t wait to be back again!

I came for the high-tea set to celebrate my son’s birthday, and it was such a wonderful experience! Our waitress, Ain, was amazing — she was very helpful, attentive, and friendly throughout our visit. She even helped us take photos and explained everything on the menu so well. Her service truly made our celebration extra special. Thank you for making our day memorable. Highly recommended and will definitely come again! 🌟

We just had a great seafood buffet dinner here, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. The food selection was impressive - everything from fresh salads to rich main courses and decadent desserts. Each dish was well-prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Since it is a seafood night+ the seafood was really fresh and you can get unlimited oyster, crabs ,prawns, mussels and also a one time half lobster. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for families, groups or even a date. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I would happily recommend to anyone looking for great food and excellent service! A big shout-out to Shaqirah at the reception counter for such a warm welcome and also ensuring we had a great time upon leaving. Izwandi, Adil and Taqi were attentive, courteous, and made sure our table was always taken care of. Last but not least, Chef Adam for being really helpful as we had a 1 year old baby and help us with a great smile on his face. Thank you for a great experience Doubletree JB Makan Kitchen 💕.

A wonderful start to our stay with a warm welcome from the friendly front desk staff and a delicious cookie upon arrival. We truly appreciated the room upgrade and the thoughtful surprises to help us celebrate this special occasion. The Executive Lounge was accommodating with specially prepared food to suit our dietary restrictions, which we really valued. However, the alcohol selection was a bit limited. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety and overall was enjoyable. That said, one staff member didn’t follow up after saying they would check with the chef regarding our query. Thanks!

Booked king room with lounge access and added rm150 per night for 1 bedroom suite for 3 of us to celebrate my 2 sisters birthday in October. Room is clean and spacious. Can see there are great improvements during evening cocktail. Foods now more variety compared to my last visit in August. Great job and keep it up man..

Stayed there last school holiday break for a quick weekend getaway. This is my first introduction to the DoubleTree brand and I'm sorry to say that it didn't live up to my expectations. Firstly, the room design is really dated and is showing its age - despite the best efforts of the hotel's very friendly and energetic staff. The corner suite we selected - *a suite*, mind you - had walls and a window ledge that were somewhat dirty and peeling. In addition, the carpet near the window area was damp, and remained that way, giving an impression of age not helped at all by the musty smell in the room. The nightstand next to the outer wall was the worse for wear, and the bed likewise felt damp. Lighting in the room was also a mixed bag, and some of the fixtures in general were just really old and tired. Suffice to say, I didn't quite have a great night's sleep. The corridor was also very musty and smelled of smoke - the less said about it, the better. The only saving graces: DoubleTree cookies, the welcome drink was really good, and this hotel surely has among the best shower temperature regulation of any hotel I've stayed in in Malaysia. I really hope Hilton management can invest in this hotel before it gets passed over for newer alternatives that will surely arise once the RTS is up and running.

Nice clean hotel and room and walking distance to the mall. The dinner buffet the restaurant was very delicious and had lots of Malaysian variety. They are even connected to SWAN reflexology which offers' fantastic foot massages for a great price. Very relaxing and they are open until midnight. Eating at the hotel is the best option as it was relaxing. Gym is very clean and hygienic and has good views to watch from the treadmill. Hotel is very close to the Woodlands border crossing so a big benefit.

Came here for a business trip once for 2 days and 1 night and it was the first travel business trip ever. This is not only an experience but a short holiday while working. The hotel is not hard to find as we were on the way, since the hotel is on top of a hill, this is easy to spot the moment you reach the street. As Johor as many luxurious hotels as well, this hotel is widely known internationally. As i entered the hotel, the doorman opened the door and greeted us as we walked towards the reception to check in and as usual every Hilton Hotel serve freshly bake cookies! As we entered the room, 2 double bed, 1 dressing table and a toilet i can never forget, there is a bind glass window between the toilet and the room and without the bind, i could see the hotel room from inside my toilet while showering. A TV that have Astro and a super super high comfortable bed. This place is damn nice to sleep on. Connected to my working place where i came here to work as we passed by the dim lights of lounge area, after dinner, we went to the gym and the fully equipped gym was completed. What you need is there such as weights, ball,trackmills that have a screen where it is connected to Astro ( same as hotel room), watch movie or MTV, i was watching Keeping up with Kardashians while running how distracting is that, you can play solitaire and many more. You don't need to bring water down as the gym has water and towels for you, same floor as the lighted up swimming pool. What a short getaway.

We spent 2 nights here. Came from Changi airport. Taxi to Queens st bus center. Than 2 taxis to Hilton double tree. RM180 per taxi. Took about an hour to get across the causeway. Used the swimming pool and gym. Large rooms. We had an extra bed in one of the rooms. Within walking distance of city square mall. 20 mins walk to town center for banking etc. Managed to get maxi hire car back to Johor Bahru.

I had a really good stay at Doubletree Johor. I found the hotel extremely nice, staff were helpful and rooms were clean and neat. The only thing I didn't quite understand was the location of the hotel. It stood out like a sore thumb! like surrounded by dingy buildings and random roadside stalls, nothing like the locations hotels in KL have. My favorite part about staying here was the breakfast buffet. The variety was so wide and everything was so good. I really liked the egg station and was there most of the time, getting my custom ordered omelette's done. I guess its your typical hotel buffet breakfast but I just though the spread and service here was really exceptional. Like the waiters come to your table and ask if you would like coffee or tea. If you want a fesh juice then there is a juice station you order from. If ever I'm in Johor again, I would be staying here without a doubt!
