The hotel is in a great location and very easy to get to most parts of town, with the metro just a short walk away. We stayed in the “new” part of the hotel, and the rooms there are really nice, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of light. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives mostly end. The view was to an unremarkable street. The sound insulation is very poor, and being on the first floor it genuinely felt like people walking outside were in the room with us - even with the windows fully closed! Breakfast was very good, and we did use the gym, but it’s very small and really only suitable for a very basic workout. Overall, some good points, others not so good. I’d stay again, but would ask for a more peaceful room.

Our stay at DoubleTree Fontana was an absolute delight. We booked a room with a private terrace, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip — peaceful, spacious, and perfect for slow mornings and relaxed evenings. A special shout‑out to Iňes, who made every day start on the right note. Her warm energy and the hearty breakfast she prepared set the tone for our adventures. It’s rare to meet someone who brings such genuine care to their work, and she truly made our stay feel personal. And of course… the iconic Warm Cookie at reception. Let’s be honest — no one can ever get enough of it 😅 It’s the kind of small gesture that instantly makes you feel welcome. Overall, DoubleTree Fontana gave us comfort, kindness, and a few sweet memories we’ll happily carry with us.

Stayed for 3 nights. The staff, food, breakfast, wine selection were all really good. The problem is the hotel design. All areas are dark and painted black. The bar is so dark you can’t read the menu. Very few seats, all very uncomfortable in the bar area ( which is actually the reception area separated by a mesh screen). Corridors have black walls, carpets and ceilings! Room was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. However the bathroom is absolutely bizarre. Clear glass into the bedroom, it is dark and all black, and has mirrored walls. So if you like no privacy and like to watch yourself using the bathroom, this is for you. Such a shame as the staff were great and the hotel is well located.

Google
Very good place to stay. Nice room, very courteous and friendly staff, and an awesome breakfast buffet. The hotel is conveniently located close to cafés, a farmers market and shopping area. Several bus lines going to Lisbon and further out are steps away from the hotel. And if you're up to it, you can go a walk to the busy streets around. The only thing is the room we were in was a little noisy because of its closeness to a street.

Google
Stayed a few nights here in the doubletree in Lisbon. Interesting hotel and very friendly staff. Bar food was great, wasn’t impressed by the restaurant but still went each night. Rooms are a bit odd with black hallways and doors, but once you open up into the room, it was comfortable.

Google
We started there for 3 nights and came back a week later for only one night, Check in and check out was easy. Rooms were clean and very well appointed. The black hallways were something to get used to and the elevators were small. What sets this Hilton Doubletree apart is the restaurant staff. The food was excellent, but the service was the best we’ve ever experienced. Very intuitive, kind and almost anticipatory. Always happy to see us and happy to be there. Superlative in almost every way. 6 stars of 5.

Google
Our 2nd visit to Lisbon, Portugal and we selected this Hilton hotel again because our first experience was so positive. Staff is splendidly friendly, buffet breakfast is top notch with quality food, and our breakfast server, Fabio, was extremely attentive. Such a joy to start our first day of vacation welcomed by staff. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Google
I had a wonderful stay at this establishment. Everything was high quality, from the atmosphere to the facilities. The staff is very professional and the overall experience was excellent. It is a great place that I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality and comfort. Also the breakfast was very good and the quality was there.

Yelp
I came to Lisbon for a work trip and one of my co workers had already booked this hotel so I booked without looking it up. We got in at 5 am and we had booked the previous night so that when we got there we could check in and sleep a little before getting out day started. We came from miami on a red eye flight so we were a little delirious once we arrived. I called the hotel as I boarded the flight and gave them a heads up that we were going to be arriving late which was great because we didn't run the risk of them canceling the room. Once we arrived we had a lot of luggage because we are hosting an event but I was surprised when the no one helped so one of the guys had to go get the cart and we had to lug all the luggage inside. Once inside the same bellman was the guy who checked us in. The check was easy and fast and we were eager to rest up in our room. Once I got my room key I made my way to the 5th floor. I was a little thrown off by the hallway because it was all black and the numbers were on the floor. Once I found my room I walked in and took a shower and got in my bed. I didn't account for all the construction happening. It was hard to ignore as I was trying to get some sleep but I tried to make the best of it. Checkout process was easy and they were able to hold our luggage until we were ready to go to the port.

Yelp
Just ok. Pros: - Easily double the size of my room in Porto. - Good water pressure. Cons: - Really uncomfortable bed. That mattress took "firm" to the next level. - Bizarre bathroom set up. If you enjoy looking in the mirror while on the toilet, or having an audience via see-through shower wall ... then this place is for you. - Lots of street noise at night. - Incredibly inefficient check in process - waited 10-15 mins while 3 people (including a manager) were helping two guests. - No where to sit in said lobby while you're waiting to check in, or waiting for your Uber etc. - Room overall looks a bit worn down.

Yelp
Comfy stay but a bit too far from the centre for my liking. We were greeted with freshly baked cookies + a fruit platter as my boyfriend has a peanut allergy. The elevator is quite small for NA standards but it seems to be the norm here in Portugal. The black decor in the hallway and room was a bit trippy, including the room numbers written on the floor

Yelp
Very strange decor. The hallways are black. It felt more like a scene from a horror film than a hotel -- not a welcoming vibe. The bathroom was also really weird. There's no privacy for the shower with a clear window to the main room area. It would've been super awkward if we'd had the kids with us! And the toilet room is full mirrored. I really don't need to see 4 different views of myself while I'm on the toilet. The location was just okay. There were some restaurants and a shopping area nearby, but I had to Uber daily to get anywhere interesting. The staff was very friendly, but overall the creepy hallway & exhibitionist bathroom were a bit much for me.

Yelp
First of all, this review has nothing to do with the staff at the hotel who were amazing! The rest is beyond what I would EVER have expected from a Doubletree. The design and colors of the hotel made us feel like we were walking into a jail, torture chamber or mental institution. EVERYTHING in the hotel is BLACK - dark, depressing and very weird. I had a horrible feeling every time I entered the hotel from the dark lobby to the elevators to the weirdest hallways to the rooms. Everything was black, the carpets, the doors, the walls. It was totally freeky. Then you step into the room and while 2 walls were painted white, the rest of the room is guess what....black. The bathroom- I don't know where to even begin. Again all black. The tub had a half door and the grab bar was all the way at the front near the faucets. The tub was high to climb in and out of and absolutely nothing to hold on to. EXTREMELY dangerous and slippery. Then there was a glass that was the wall between the tub and the bedroom. You get a clear view of the person taking a shower. We were a couple, but it still was not very comfortable watching that. And the minute the light goes on in the bathroom it shines right into the bedroom. So much for one trying to sleep while the other was in the bathroom. There was no way to block out that light. The toilet was in a separate areas with mirrors on every wall. REALLY??? Do I need to watch myself on the toilet. And because all the walls in the bathroom were glass or mirrors, there was no where to hang face towels. Very useless design. There were only two plugs in the room and with my husband using a CPAP machine that left only one to use in the whole room. This was the freakist experience overall that I have ever had in a hotel. I recommend NO ONE should stay at this hotel. A total waste of money. I never had an other experience like this anywhere, let alone a Hilton brand I love.

Yelp
I spent three nights at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Lisbon - Fontana Park during my trip to the Portuguese capital towards the end of 2023. I was quite let down with this property for many reasons. Starting on a positive note, the location of the hotel is good, it is a short walk away from two metro stations, Picoas and Saldanha, and from either one of those stations, you can pretty much get anywhere around the city, from the city centre to the airport. I was able to get around the city very easily using the Citymapper app and these two metro stations. The staff at the hotel were also friendly, when I was checking in, I ended up chatting with a staff member who used to work at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate, and we recognised each other - small world! I checked in, in the evening, and despite having a couple of staff members in the Reception area, it did take a long time just to get checked in to the hotel. I was told that I received an upgrade as a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and they made a point of saying the upgrade was from them, and not Hilton. I didn't receive a Suite, and the upgrade felt like a standard room. The hotel has a very gothic, dark style with a lot of black in the decor, this looked nice in the lobby, but the interior of the room felt depressing, they had all black walls and cupboards walking into the room and the bathroom door didn't close properly. Even the corridors leading up to the rooms were very dark and narrow, with the room numbers on the floor. The facilities inside the room remained very basic, they had basic facilities to make tea and coffee and the bed was comfortable but that was pretty much it, the TV was very small. There was also a lack of storage space and coat hooks, which made it very difficult especially as there were two people in my room (including myself). Due to the size of the room, the left side of the bed did not have a bedside table, it did have a desk, but this was far too high compared to the height of the bed. Housekeeping was also poor, on one occasion they failed to turn up, after alerting the Reception staff, we agreed a time they would service my room, where I especially left the room in order for them to do so, and once again they didn't turn up. After sorting this out with Reception, upon my arrival to the hotel to an unclean room (for the second time), they promised to send someone up straight away while I had a complimentary beer, wine or soft drink in the bar - which I had to wait another hour for. The rooms were very poorly soundproofed - it was so easy to hear noises from outside and other rooms, on my final night I had to switch rooms as the person in the room next to me wouldn't stop coughing - as a light sleeper, this would have kept me awake! Traffic noise from outside despite being on a high floor was also noticeable. Despite changing to a room of the same type, there was a difference between the rooms, with the second room not having USB charging sockets while the first room did - I don't understand how rooms in the same category can be different. The cleanliness of the second room also was unsatisfactory with crumbs all over the desk chair. On the other hand, the second room had a small balcony which the first room did not. The buffet breakfast served in the morning was also pretty bad if you wanted anything cooked, the continental options looked fresh and plentiful, however, the cooked options were sub-par. The scrambled eggs were cold, and bland, despite asking for fresh eggs they still came back cold. the omelettes were also too runny and cheesy despite asking to go easy on the cheese. The fruit juice just tasted of pulp, it was so thick and even stirring it wouldn't help - I did notice other guests having similar issues. The bathroom was also basic, and had the shower inside the bath which is one of my biggest hates in a hotel bathroom as I much prefer a standalone shower. 2* - The staff are lovely but this hotel needs urgent help, a refurbishment of rooms to make them more comfortable, attractive and in line with the other rooms to avoid inconsistencies... and working on the essential services from the noise proofing, housekeeping and breakfast are a must. If it wasn't for the price of under 100 euros a night during my trip, and the friendly reception staff, it would be ranked even lower.

Yelp
Solid pass for me at this this hotel in the future. It's 10 year birthday is tonight and I think it's about 5 years overdue to a renovation. They also had disco music playing until well after 11pm. They also need to hire some better housekeepers and get this place cleaned up. It's not filthly, but it could use a really deep clean in the rooms. Mattress is like sleeping on concrete, power clicks on and off at random, front desk is swamped and don't count on checking in much before 4pm. Sorry. This place is a huge miss for me. I will go to the emerald house (curio), but this place will never be graced with my presence again.

Yelp
The rooms are very different than you would find in the US (compact). Still it has all if the amenities and we have a terrace overlooking the city... Staff is friendly and everyone speaks English if you can't speak Portuguese. Walking distance to many shops and many cafes..

Yelp
I have so many questions about this hotel. Why is the parking lot pitch black at night but lit during the day? Why are there no signs to tell you how to get to the lobby? Why don't they have hand soap? Why don't the towels cover your entire body (I'm 5'0" 125 lbs and it did not go all the way around me)? What is the digital map in the shower? Is it recording you? Regardless, this hotel is just fine to stay at. Location is central, which is most important. It's clean and the lobby is pretty. They give you a free double chocolate chip cookie upon arrival. They will help you with whatever you need, whether it's travel stuff or making a call for you. Also, the rooms have blackout curtains! It's a simple place, no gym or spa or anything like that. It's a fine hotel if you just want a nice, clean place to stay at.

Yelp
This is by far the worst Hilton property I have ever stayed at! The only saving grace they have is a ok and I mean ok continental breakfast which was free for being a diamond member. When booking this location be aware that all of the pictures are of there jr suits and none of the 'normal' rooms. The rooms are a good size but that's where it stops. As you can see by the pictures the tub wasn't so 'clean' the shower had no head and just a hose that shot all over, cracks in the tub, a two foot step in, a glass door that bangs every time you touch it, a toilet with mirrors on each side so you look at yourself doing your stuff, a tv fit for ants, mirror that has glass stains, an elevator that fits 3 adults and is so slow, and a lobby with no seating area! Do not book here and find a new hotel. Lastly the room is like a sauna with the door fully open and the staff say 'there is nothing they can do and it must stay at 20 degrees C or 68 degrees F' again do not stay here

Yelp
Amazing staff at this hotel in the business district in Lisbon . Warm and welcoming , service was great ....

Yelp
A unique set up at this hotel. The hallways are very unique. The room numbers are actually on the floor not on the actual door. The rooms are very nice though. Spacious and modern. Decent sized bathroom as well. The breakfast was good here. Typical set up for Europe. Hot food as well as a deli selection. Bread and fruit and yogurt as well. Better than your average hotel breakfast for Europe. They were also not very far from the airport and overall a very modern hotel.

Yelp
One night stay with points before flying back to the US after a weeklong vacation in Portugal. The other photos the striking black interior, which is not only the sleek hallways, but continues into each room with interesting bathrooms that include a window into the shower from the bedroom space. Not what we would choose for an extended stay, but it was a unique and memorable experience for a night. What made this DoubleTree really stand out was the breakfast! The variety of colorful and flavorful options was a great final food experience before grabbing an Uber to the airport and a ice contrast to the rainy cold outside. Meat, cheese, and miniature pastel de nata is a great way to start the day. The small croissants were also a nice touch, just enough to satisfy and not too much to made you eat more than you need or want. Welcoming service and relaxing accommodations.

Yelp
Why 3 stars? Because the service was not what I typically receive in the hundreds of Hilton's I patronize over the years. I am a Gold Hilton member and was happy to see that for my visit to Lisbon for the first time, this property was here. Upon walking into the super modern and beautiful lobby, we were greeted nicely by the front desk staff and handed the warm chocolate chip cookies the Doubletree is known for. They were delicious! Next, we checked into our rooms which were in the "new" wing of the hotel. Sounded nice, but it's a bit of a weird walk to get there with separate elevators to find our room. The room LOOKS nice and modern, however the noise from the street below could be heard loud and clear and was disruptive to our sleep. Also, the TV did not work and the Royal Wedding was on, so we had to watch them on our phones instead of the large TV in the room. Bummer. Also, the air conditioning unit would not work consistently and we woke up to it completely off and blinking. We called reception FOUR times to fix it and each time we were assured it was fixed. Not so. This was extremely inconvenient as my travel partner is temperature sensitive. We were not offered an exchange of rooms or anything to make this situation right. Hugely disappointing. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was rushed off of the phone being told that one was not on duty. A very lovely woman by Margarida came to our room to apologize and offer 50% off of the room for the night. We appreciated the gesture and she was very nice. Lastly, the shower is horrible. It has a quarter of a glass panel that is to block water from spreading all over the floor and that does not work. Each time we showered, the floor had a huge wet puddle. This is not functional and must be damaging over time. I will most certainly be returning to Lisbon as it's a lovely city, however, will not stay in this hotel again.

Eileen G.

Yelp
Lisbon Fontana Park (Doubletree) We basically were shocked at how cold and stark this hotel was. I realize that they wanted to keep the identity of the original factory, but that is not a good look for a hotel. Everything is black and grey; the corridors look like a prison (as everyone in the elevators attested to);l there was not one picture on any walls and it was impossible to hang up clothes because the bar was too high.  The bathroom was nice but the towels were tiny. Hard to dry yourself. Also, we paid for an upgrade but when we got to the hotel they told us there were no upgrades available. Another guest came in right after us, stated she was a diamond, and got our upgrade. Not professional.  Breakfast was good, with helpful, friendly staff so we made a reservation for dinner at the hotel. We sat down and they brought a basket of bread and water. This is automatic in the US to help guests while they wait.  The food was fair and the service was also fair. When we received our bill they charged for the water and the bread. They should have asked us if we wanted them because there was a charge. Again, not professional or guest friendly.

Yelp
This is a great hotel. The service was wonderful, check-in was a smooth and easy process (and the cookie wad delicious). Breakfast was delicious with a great selection. The room was peculiar, very modern boutique. The bathroom had no door for the toilet and the bathtub/shower is clear. So, this means there is a privacy concern. The noise level can be a little high as we could hear upstairs and neighbors on the side. Location is pretty good and about a 9-10 minute walk to the nearest metro. Overall positive experience.

Will E.

Yelp
A very nice hotel. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, the room was comfortable and clean. It's choice of decor is slightly sterile. Everything is shined black lacquer and glass. The hallways resemble an upscale storage facility. A minor issue and I would definitely stay there again. The location is right across the street from a public "Mercado" and there are plenty of dining choices nearby.
google avatar

Phil V.

Yelp
The hotel itself is not bad. Reason for 1 star is their rip-off policy for making reservation changes after check-in. I checked in for a 4 night stay, but found out after landing (overnight flight from US) due a personal family issue I would have to cut my stay short. When I checked in I let the front desk clerk know I would only be staying 2 nights, not 4. I was then informed that no changes were permitted and that I would be charged for all 4 nights. Huh??? You're allowed to cancel a stay without penalty up to midnight the day before check-in, but you can't change a reservation once you've checked in? So I guess the thing to do is to just make reservations for individual nights - then if you have to leave early you can cancel whatever you haven't used. Nah..too much hassle. Will just stay elsewhere from now on.

Yelp
I found this hotel years ago when I thought I'd come to Lisbon with my sister for vacation. When we finalized the trip for her hen, I recommended it because it was/could be affordable and they're part of Hilton. (FYI No Pool) We had 5 girls, and 2 rooms with king beds. They normally don't offer cots and sofa beds, but we got lucky due to other circumstances. They were really kind and accommodating! Within those 2 rooms, we had a connecting door and 2 more bathrooms in the other room. That was a great start to the trip because 5 girls getting ready takes HOURS. Rooms were fairly spacious, and offered a lot of natural light during the day with large windows. Now, with the good things being said, I shall mention the not so good things. The shower/baths don't have doors, so unless you figure out the ideal placement and what not, you'll make a mess in the bathroom with water. One of the showers we did have had a black sliding door but no lighting in the actual shower, so that was kind of hard to work around. Plus, the floor is flat so it comes out. Place a towel outside the shower to avoid making a mess. Something else we all sensed was that the hotel staff became rude to us 3 days into the trip. We had borrowed tape and scissors and were going to return it when we left for dinner, but we got a phone call with a bit of an attitude demanding us to give them the items. If we knew it was urgent to give it back quickly, we would've. It's a hotel, we didn't think it would be a big deal. Even when we got there, their voltage difference blew out my cousin's pump that she needed. They were really helpful at the time, but had 0 converters to offer because there was a conference. I feel like the converter issue, and tape and scissors issue started to get them irked. This was all between Thurs-Saturday. On Sunday, they asked for housekeeping to go to one room, because when they came originally at 10 am, we were still sleeping. We forgot to keep the 'still sleeping' tag but we were cool and kindly told them that we're still sleeping and sorry. So when my friends called to ask to have their room cleaned an hour later, all was good. An hour after that, I went to their room to grab something knowing they were coming back and saw the room wasn't touched. I called back down and the lady said "You called before. Why are you calling again?" I said, "My friends called an hour ago, I'm calling again for them." They said "We already sent someone." and I told her they never came. There was a LOT of attitude and rudeness in that brief call and since then we noticed a change in their attitudes. They wouldn't greet us, or even look at us when we'd leave the hotel or come back. We noticed a change in their overall demeanor so we weren't pleased with that. Another big no-no are the water bottles. When we got there, there were two large glass bottles of water in each room saying something about being complimentary. We then started to drink them, since they were supposedly free. When we started to realize that water wasn't free at restaurants (its all bottled) we drank the bottles in our room. At the end of our trip, the hotel charged us 50 euros for water! The staff said its only complimentary for Hilton Gold members, or whatever membership is offered there. That was a huge shocker, as well as a disappointment. We avoided making international calls and other things to avoid a huge bill. 50 euros = $60... on 10 water bottles. If they were more clear about that, we would've bought a gallon or a pack of water bottles from a grocery store. It's a great hotel, and the staff was great in the beginning, but became very snobby afterwards. My apologies if we came off as aggressive or brash, but I know we weren't. We were sober and poised but due to these small things, it seemed like we were not wanted and no guest ever wants to feel that way.

Yelp
I'm going to go ahead and just add this picture to describe how attentive the staff is to their customers. Epic. Beautiful building too and the rooms are large... like American standard large, unlike most hotels in Europe. Very comfortable, clean, renovated and located within walking distance of everything you'd want to see in Lisbon. I definitely plan on coming back.

Jason W.

Yelp
My experience with Double Tree brand has been great until I stayed at this hotel. Major issues: 1. Bad design of shower head that almost impossible to switch from tap to shower. My coworker on different floor has the exact same issue. 2. Insulation of rooms is horrible. Conversation next door can penetrate through wall and get into my ears pretty clear, even though I don't understand their language. Any action such as plug into outlet or put a glass on nightstand will cause quite loud noise in my room. Even when nobody next door, my room still creates popping sound every now and then. 3. The interior design of room is too simple to function conveniently for travelers. The staff of hotel are nice, but good service can't offset the infrastructure issues.

Yelp
This was one of the best places I have ever stayed in. The place was a palace ad with some careful searching online I managed to get a great deal on the room for the weekend. It had a wonderful buffet breakfast as well as housing an amazing Japanese restaurant inside. I shall be returning and I can't recommend staying here enough. It maes you feel you on top of the world, the beds are huge and you might find yourself not wanting to leave.

Yelp
Wonderful Location of this double tree Hilton , and above all a dedicated team of wonderful staff, always ready to help/Serve to make your stay exceptional. The Restaurent Saldana Mar is the hotel has exceptional seafood portugese style which is unique for every order you place. I guess impeccable service by Emily is

Yelp
Shower doesn't work, plugs don't work, and darkest hotel I have ever stayed at. It's supposed to be artistic I suppose.
google avatar

Veronica O.

Yelp
Decent Hotel for the price, however the rooms were very very artistic. Long black Hallways and the number of your room on the floor. Great for the price Somewhat art deco, I guess. Not like a regular Hilton. But the price was great and the lobby and breakfast are fabulous. The bartender was super attentive and wonderful and there is a great little outdoor area attached to the bar. Super cool note which makes me happy; they do have a cigar bar. You can buy cigars and wonderful ports and enjoy while sitting outside in a really amazing courtyard with a waterfall. You have to love the creativity of this place because there are many tall buildings behind the Hilton but they managed to decorate with a full wall waterfall which made you feel like you were away from the city. The creativity amazed me, when you look up they had a retractable awning that blocked the other buildings but I'm sure on a sunny day allowed light to filter through.

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to Portgual. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was lovely and always clean. The location was a little out of the way from where all the major attractions are, but we did not mind the stroll in. Also, the neighborhood had some great restaurants around.

Yelp
The design is a little strange - bath tub/shower is interesting, but the staff were wonderful! From check-in to check-out, everyone was helpful, considerate and we felt they cared about us. The general manager chatted with us for a while - very warm and nice. Breakfast was great - the service staff there also did everything they could to help and take care of us. I would go to Lisbon just to stay at this hotel...

Yelp
Weirdly Wonderful. This DoubleTree is not exactly what I expected with the dark black halls, to the small well-arranged rooms. The rooms kind of remind me of those tiny efficient apartments that are all the rage. Although, still with the charm and class associated with the Hilton brand. I got my cookie upon check-in and was greeted by name. I guess I was the last guest of the day to arrive, so they had been expecting me! One drawback of this hotel is that it is loud. Expect to hear you neighbors' tv and people walking up and down the hall. There are screens on the windows that make so much noise going up and down that you will also hear your neighbor's window screens move. The hotel also has conference rooms, buffet breakfast, and gym facilities. Wifi is free, and you're provided with a code upon check-in. It's within walking distance to a couple different metro lines, so while it might not have the best location in the city (great for business travelers and exploring the newer part of the city) you'll want to get the metro to the more historic sites and waterfront.

Yelp
Nice, trendy, artistic hotel. To get to your room, you walk past long galleries of artwork and modern-looking furniture. Breakfast is nice, too. The air conditioning in our room wasn't working properly, such that a strong, musty odor went into our room. They had to switch us to a different room in a middle of our stay. Furthermore, sound travels easily from the ground floor to the first floor, since there is an open walkway with a view of the foyer and lobby. Therefore, it gets loud at night, especially for the guests on the first floor, due to loud music or partying that might be happening on the ground floor.

Yelp
I stayed in this hotel for 7 days 6 nights in early 2017 with a wonderful memory. Delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, comfortable bed. Location is good, less than $5 to downtown Lisbon by Uber, shopping center and nice restaurants are within 5 min. walk. The thing impressed me the most is their manager, Sara. I had a Hhonor point issue and she went out of her way to help me to resolve the issue 2 months after our stay (and I am from USA). Incredible! Highly recommended!

Yelp
We spent a few nights here on our last trip to Lisbon, mainly because it was kinda a last minute decision and all the places downtown were fully booked. It is a bit far from the action of the old town but if you think it'd be quiet, unfortunately that's not the case. The first night we didn't sleep at all, as the hotel faces a busy main road and we were put into a room on the first floor. This room also had a very interesting bathroom situation: the separation of the bathroom and sleeping area was only a glass wall, meaning that you could not only see the other person taking a shower but also using the toilet. The see-through shower thingy is not new and I don't have a problem with but I really REALLY do not need to see my other half on the loo. Really! The next morning we asked to change rooms and we were put on the 6th floor, slightly smaller room but with a big balcony and a bathroom with some privacy. We didnt try the breakfast in the hotel as there are lots of little cafes an bistros around but the bar was super-pricey. Even for Hilton standards. The cleaning service wasn't great either. I don't understand why they need to knock at the door at 10am every morning when the sign at the door says 'do not disturb'. Most annoying. I don't think I would stay here again, the location and what you get for your money just don't add up. It's Lisbon, not London.

Yelp
Definitely a top notch hotel. My daughter stayed at the hotel this month, using some of my Hilton Honors points to snag a last-minute hotel room when her travel plans changed. I was able to reserve the hotel for her on the Doubletree website, then get confirmation from Doubletree that they would allow my daughter to check in without me. She was very impressed with the hotel. The clean, modern decor contrasted nicely with the old town of Lisbon. She said the accommodations were very comfortable and spacious, with a delicious breakfast on Sunday morning. It was very conveniently located near public transit, and the staff was helpful with guidance not only on the routes, but the least expensive methods of travel. While visiting a friend at a hotel around the corner, she lost her wallet. When she returned to the Doubletree, the staff quickly engaged, backtracking her steps for the evening and phoning each location to see if her wallet had been turned in. Luckily, they found it at the other hotel, and escorted her to the hotel to retrieve it. The staff was very friendly and responsive, understanding the challenges faced by someone traveling abroad. Where they could have simply said "We didn't find it.", they responded with "We'll help you find it." Excellent customer service. My daughter has convinced my wife and me that we must travel to Portugal next summer. While in Lisbon, I'll definitely stay at the Doubletree. Mike Birmingham, Alabama

Yelp
My stay at Doubletree was really a nice and unforgettable experience. Starting from the location, close to Marquês de Pombal, to a Subway station and to easy to go everywhere in the city. But the best part was the staff which were really kind, helpful and doing the best to make me feel home. The rooms are great with a modern deco, clean and all brand new. I will for sure stay in this place when back in Lisbon.

Yelp
Architect gets and F, Staff an A Architect who designed this prison style hotel should have their degree and license revoked. While it maybe design *pretty* on paper its functionality is a mess. The shower tub lip sits above the surrounding platform so when you run the shower water pours out onto the platform and onto the floor. We had to stuff towels along the edge of the tub to prevent a lake on the floor. In addition in order to get into the tub / shower you have to step up over the 3 foot tub , no grab bars, and all the faucets are at the back so you have to lean over and in to turn on shower before getting in. toilet area is enclosed with black mirrored walls, who wants to see themselves sitting on the toilet! There are no electric outlets above the sink area , only underneath half way back. Try plugging in a hair dryer and using it .... not super easy. We had a balcony, nice, but it was a 1 foot or so step up to get onto it , in an weird corner. The rooms are also very noisy due to the lack of carpet and wall furnishings. Walls are very thin, can hear between rooms and hall. The one excellent thing about this hotel is the staff, they should get bonus pay for having to work here. Not a Hilton property I'd choose again.

Yelp
Upon checking into Double Tree by Hilton Fontana Park in Lisbon, Portugal, we were greeted with smiles and were able to check in with no problem. I did question the front desk person (Nathan) about the breakfast buffet, as we understood it was included. The hotel was booked on Hotels.com, and he explained to me it was not included since we did not book with Hilton. We booked the King Size Room with Panoramic view at a price of US$250.00 per night. We used the patio bar every evening and also ate in the dining room EVERY evening, even though we were the only people eating in the restaurant. After talking with some other guests who enjoyed the buffet and were paying for a MUCH lower cost standard room, we could not understand why we were not entitled to the breakfast buffet. It obviously was not the cost of the buffet, but the principle of the fact we were utilizing the lounge, restaurant and executive room. When we checked out Sunday, July 21, I spoke with front desk Beatrice. She did not greet us with a smile, but more of a sneer. I told her we were not happy with the buffet situation and she really did not care. Your slogan of making your guests happy, did not mean anything to Beatrice. We really hated to leave on such a sour note, but we were furious about the way we were treated by Beatrice. She could have given us a credit upon check out for even ONE Buffet but she made no attempt to please us in any way. Unfortunately, we will give Hilton Double Tree Fontana Park a 1 star on Facebook, Travel Advisor and any other web site.

Yelp
We arrived early and exhausted from our US flight and Miguel helped us at check in. He worked hard and after a short wait, and a cookie, found us a room. The elevator opened to a hallway like we have never seen, it was very dark, flat walls and no numbers on the doors. The room was ultra modern with minimal lighting and decor. The lighting did not pose a problem, the window wall brought in so much sunlight that we only needed to have the shade opened a bit in order to fill the room with light. We could hear our neighbors blinds, but the time they take to rise and drop is minimal and a small nuisance. The hotel wasnt what I expected or am used to but I will stay there again because of its staff. Every single person I came into contact with was very friendly and helpful. From the bartender at the hotels peaceful outdoor patio who gave us an informative history on Fado, to the cook at the breakfast buffet who came out to see if he could help us with anything. The hotel is too modern for my tastes but the staff was phenomenal and because of them we will be back.
