Pros: Location. Beds & pillows. Pool. Honors area. Cons: Very noisy AC, Motion Sensing Thermostat, Parking, Housekeeping every 5 nights?, Tired hallway, Honors area not kept tidy. We were on the 12 floor and had a very loud noisy air conditioner and did not sleep well because of it. I can't impress upon you enough how loud it was. What good is a hotel room if you cannot sleep? Also, we finely figured out the room had a motion sensing thermostat. The room had a temp. of 77 with the AC cranking and curtains pulled when we arrived. We went out to dinner and it was still warm when we returned. This also bothered us at night since the temperature increased once we fell asleep. Both the AC and thermostat need to be fixed. We did not call the front desk. We would have spent our day with our daughter working on fixing their problem. We are usually a fan of less housekeeping but 5 nights is a bit long time to go!!! Really? Notice on our bill both the parking garage fee and self parking fee. There are 2-3 other hotels within walking distance. We will try those next.

I was in town for a conference being held here. I was quite pleased with this location! |The staff at the hotel were attentive and checked in to make sure my hotel stay needs were met. I received texts as a direct line of communication. The room was really roomy. The hotel was clean and neat. ||As for the conference area it was a little confusing at first but once we figured it out, it was great.

Here for three nights for a conference. Housekeeping did not clean my room during my stay. I know that cleaning every other day is now policy in some places, but on day three I saw the cleaning trolly in the hall and figured my room would be done. It was not. So no bottled water, no coffee cups, no caffeinated coffee or tea after the first day. They did start me off with three towels. I could call for those things, but I’d rather not have to be in charge of equipping my room with things that are normally automatic. |If housekeeping matters to you, this is not the place to stay.

We had a room block here for my wedding in Derry, NH. We had over 100 people stay in our room block and everyone said how nice the staff was and how nice the hotel was. My husband and I stayed in the Presidential Suite and it was great! The only weird thing was that it did not have a standard-size fridge, only a mini fridge, but we made it work! The front desk, bar staff, and servers (especially Gail) were amazing! They all remembered my husband and I, making our wedding weekend feel more special!

Google
Check -in took literally one minute which meant a lot to me after a 7 + hour drive. Order the clam chowder from the bar and thank me later. Staff were helpful, friendly and all the things you’d expect from a great over night.

Google
Didn’t make use of any of the amenities but the room was comfortable and check in was easy. The hotel helped us out with a crib for our toddler. AC worked great, bed was comfy and the room was roomy with some spaces to work. The location is good - probably the better part of Manchester from what we could tell. Parking in the garage is $15 or you can find street parking. We’d stay here again.

Google
Excellent staff to include housekeeping. Everyone was very friendly.||The lounge is open, but they did not serve food in it because the kitchen is being renovated. ||I slept very well.||The AC cooled the room nicely.| |TA lists this property as Pets Allowed (Dog / Pet Friendly), but my allergies appreciate that they are actually pet free!||Parking is 15 a night.||Sadly, there are a lot of homeless folks. This could be uncomfortable for some.

Google
I went to an expo here. The toilets were not clean. My shoes stuck to the floor. There were no handicap parking. It surprised me. The corredors were plenty wide and easy to move around.

Yelp
Solid Hilton with ragged edges. The location, the staff and check-in are pretty good. There were a ton of middle schools here for a baseball game tournament. The room itself was decent: although there were broken bulbs on one side of the room and scratches on the fridge, and trash left over in used bins. Also because it was central to the town, there were only views of parking lots and dumpsters. What saved the rating was the staff and gym area that was being maintained ongoing, while I stayed at this Hilton. Narrow elevators stuffed with lots of people. Review: 4

Yelp
If you ever get the chance to go to New Hampshire, and need a hotel, this is it! Clean, centrally located in the heart of downtown. It has a Starbucks inside (key info), and a lovely restaurant/bar that I had the pleasure of eating at. The clam chowder was good and the ceaser steak salad was pretty good too.

Yelp
Such a great hotel in an amazing location. Right on Elm in walking distance of all the restaurants and bars. Have to pay to park but it was only 14 in a garage which isn't bad. Large conference center as well. They have a restaurant in the bar, but we didn't try it. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The front desk was super nice and friendly. Every time I come to Manchester I stay here!

Yelp
We have had a delightful stay here while participating at the coin show. The front desk staff are great , helpful & efficient. Rooms big & clean. The pool area is wonderful. The coffee shop, the Daily Brew has delicious breakfast sandwiches & the service is impeccable. Can't wait to return next year.

Yelp
Really friendly staff who were working very hard to keep things moving as smoothly as possible despite being affected by the CrowdStrike outage. They all kept smiling, allowed to check in a few minutes early to freshen up before attending a friend's wedding, and made the best of a difficult situation. Hotel itself was clean and comfortable and a great location.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel before when it was under Radisson. It looks the same. The room was nice and clean, but I found the bed a little uncomfortable, compared to most DoubleTree hotels. Then we figured out the size of the double bed they gave us was not a queen size but more like a twin bed. The Front Desk didn't get a memo that we're married LOL. The room includes a coffee machine, a safe, and everything travelers need. Well, I don't need a lot. The hotel has an indoor pool that lets you go in and out to enjoy the sun. The pool room has a jacuzzi to relax and heal your muscles. The pool was the best part of the stay ha! The gym was big, too, but I didn't use it this time because I was happy spending time at the pool. Nobody was there, so I could swim away, although I don't swim well. I float well! The hotel is perfect for holding a big conference. The space was enormous, and the security was excellent! Nice stay!

Yelp
3.5 stars - almost rounded up to 4 stars based upon really liking the incredibly convenient location which was walkable to SO MANY restaurants and bars, and also very near to quick on-ramps to get you in and out of the area. Couldn't get myself to do it though after writing the rest of this review. The Room - This is based upon the normal size room on the 12th / Exec floor. The room itself seemed a bit small due the layout and sloped windows, but was actually more than enough. The bathroom was very nice, though the water pressure was merely adequate. Being on the 12th may not have helped. The bed was nicely made, the linens seemed decent enough, the TV was of nice size for the room (though some channels struggled to load or display smoothly), and the towels are below average quality/scratchy (though clean and very uniformly and brightly white in appearance). The room did have a slight odor. The mini-fridge was larger than in most rooms, and very clean inside. The full width windows were great, curtains opened/closed easily if you used the built in push rods, and blocked the light nicely. The view from the rooms on the river/mountain view/west side was also quite nice both in the morning and at sunset. The Pool / Gym - The gym is a bit small for the size of the hotel perhaps, but was pretty nice, seemed clean, and didn't seem smelly or musty. The adjacent area has the pool and hot tub, which I didn't use, but looked great. There's an outdoor elevated patio next to that (only accessible from the pool area) that looked interesting, but was closed for the season. Executive Lounge - I'm not sure it really qualifies as one. Sure, it's exclusive, but it's rather bare in terms of both TV's entertainment, doesn't have much of a view (it's on the 1st floor), the breakfast food was less variety, and lower quality than I'd expect from a typical continental, and the evening hors d'oeuvres seemed so insignificant that I'd question why bother. Packaged snacks or may be a credit would be preferred. On the plus side, it's open 24/7, so it was nice to be able to drop in a grab a water or two at any time. Other Features / Integrated Businesses - I can't weigh in on the quality, etc, but the hotel lobby bar was nicer than many, with both bar and casual armchair seating a plenty. There's also seminar spaces/halls/wedding venue, a large aboveground parking garage ($14 a day, but the exit gate was rarely closed), a coffee house with snacks, sandwiches and Starbucks coffee, and what looked to possibly be a comedy club. Service - Front desk workers each day were all generally courteous and helpful. Room services / daily cleaning / bed making doesn't seem to happen, as I didn't have the "do not disturb" out, but came back everything as I left it. Maybe you have to ask.

Yelp
Nice property worthy of a higher rating. Stay on the property after dark. Hundreds of bums / crackheads living on the sidewalks and roaming the area.

Yelp
If I could give 2.5** I would. CONS: Disgusting lube smears or spit or...? on furniture and bathroom vanity. Candy wrapper and dust piles behind bedside table. Fridge loud--had to crawl under furniture to unplug it to sleep. Queen beds not 100% flat (both slightly tilted toward the center bedside table) Sheets were scratchy No outlets on bedside table. Water pressure in shower (on 8th floor) weak Looks like hotel has taken a beating from years of use. Homeless people ambling around parking garage late at night - scary, felt unsafe. Common areas shabby (railing in elevator missing--holes in wall, hallways scuffed up) Parking $16 (didn't disclose when booking) Parking kind of a slog from the hotel. HVAC system spewed out FREEZING cold air in order to cool the room. Must choose between the room being too warm vs. having frigid air blown onto you on and off throughout the night. PROS: Staff is very nice. Actual room well-appointed Lighting in the room is good. WiFi is speedy. Mattress comfortable. Bathsheet a very nice touch. Appreciated you-all included a showercap. Bath products lovely. Room quiet. Kindly granted delayed check-out to sleep in given 2am check-in (with family at hospital) Nice view.

Yelp
I cannot believe this place...our reservation was cancelled give our card was expired accidentally. We weren't given any notice, and when we called to rebook and remedy the situation, we were told we would have free access to the "executive lounge" where we could "eat and drink as much as we want" we arrive and there was not only any snacks in the lounge but there was no alcohol available. We then purchased our own Guinness and were quietly sitting in the executive lounge with co-workers, and Josh came in and said "there is no alcohol allowed in this lounge" despite the fact there are signs saying no alcohol beyond this point" inferring there was alcohol allowed...he said "we will let it slide this time" and then next thing we know he comes back with his "manager" Sean...who said we need to leave because we were drinking alcohol on the premises and he was going to call the cops because we were "trespassing" which is crazy given we clearly paid for the room? Fortunately I didn't get arrested for booking a hotel room...but afterwords I went back to the executive lounge to get a orange juice bud Josh must have looked up our status and now he decided he will refund us the original amount? Man...disgusting customer service I'm so appalled and offended and I will NEVER book at a doubletree again after being treated like a middle school child. Do NOT stay at Manchester Doubletree!!!!

Yelp
Stayed here for 9 nights in Dec 2022 to see family and friends over the holidays. Staff were fantastic and very friendly ... I mean everyone, the room attendant, concierge, front desk, and especially the bar and restaurant staff. It was like staying with friends. I will definitely book with them again next time I'm staying in Manchester. When leaving I learned they've been working short staffed the whole time!? Kudos to the staff, I would never have known the long hours they were working, professional the whole time! Rooms were clean and quiet! Food and drinks were excellent! No need to go out! See you again soon!

Yelp
When I asked for bed linens to be changed, I was told this was only done when you stay for 4 nights. For two nights, I paid in excess of $600 so I think Manhattan rates should give me the option. I have no issue with that type of service no longer being the norm, which in itself is laughable because prices have skyrocketed and you get less, but to be told "No", when you request it, is an entirely different story. The location of the hotel is near most attractions, and the rooms were clean, but the service was terrible and even getting extra coffee and sugar for the room seem to be a chore for the staff.

Yelp
This is a very good location for being downtown Manchester; about as good as you can get (arena across the street), parking is extra (lame) to park underground. 4 stars for the hotel, 1 star for the city; awful vibe downtown, loud/obnoxious. Happy to leave and never return; it's bad, but not Springfield, MA bad..

Yelp
Chuck at the desk went above and beyond to help us rectify a situation that was created by the booking agent. He never quit or got frustrated and solved the problem. The staff actually cares there !!!! Hotel beautiful! Pool and hot tub. Gorgeous comfortable room with a view. Restaurant overpriced not recommended ! ... Garage to park in. Definitely recommend this hotel !

Yelp
I was very disappointed that their pool was closed. It's very nice here it's pretty annoying that you have to pay for parking but there was a great view from our room, my biggest complaint was the internet it's terrible and so slow but other wise it's okay.

Ashton D.

Yelp
I had an amazing stay! Rooms were clean, food was good. But when I checked in I was told there was a free complimentary breakfast and that parking was included in the price of my stay. The next morning my husband and I went down to breakfast and at the end of the sub par meal we were presented with a bill for $42.00. That isn't free now is it? No, I didn't think so either but we did eat the food and so we paid. We went to the front desk and the nice lady behind it apologized for the miscommunication of her fellow coworker and informed us that they've never had free breakfast. Ok, so one thing I guess it's ok. Well, we checked out yesterday and the room was fine nothing damaged or anything like that so we got our deposit back last night and this morning we check our bank account and find out that my husband was charged another $42.00. We just got off the phone with another lady at the front desk whom we asked if the cost of parking was wrapped into the stay because that's what we were told when we checked in. She informed us no, that charge is for parking and that it has never been wrapped in. So now I've lost money that I was told we were going to have. The stay was great but I am not happy being told one thing and then all of a sudden money is missing. They could've been more clear.

Yelp
Hands down one of the BEST hotels that I have stayed in when traveling within the states! DoubleTree in Manchester is LEGIT! During my recent road trip, I arrived late in the evening and went straight to the front desk. I was greeted by the lovely Front Desk Manager Chuck. I informed Chuck that I was extremely tired and just wanted to check in and go to my room to relax. Chuck expediated my check-in, grabbed my keys and informed me that valet was free and was going to be taken care of! Wowzers! I was also given not one, but TWO cookies! You gotta' admit, those DoubleTree cookies are EVERYTHING! What a way to just earn all your 5 stars! Yes, baybee! Just take it, take all of the stars! When I entered my room, it got even better! My king-size bed was just calling my name. The bed was so comfortable, and I had the perfect night sleep. There is complimentary water, a refrigerator inside the room, the bathroom is extremely spacious, and the water is HOTT! Yezzz! I truly recommend getting a room here as they are so comfortable! The room also had a lovely view of Manchester's Red Brick buildings! Also, located by all the nightlife and delicious restaurants! The next day, I was able to leave my bags at the front desk and leave my car valet until the end of the day, which gave me time to explore the City of Manchester. One of the BEST hotels I have stayed in! This is a hotel you shouldn't pass up!

Yelp
Comfy and cozy with warm cookies when you check-in! Excellent restaurant on site. Buffet breakfast is delicious with a wide variety of cold and hot foods.

Yelp
Our stay was awful my daughter and I had bedbug bites all over us the hotel didn't do anything to resolve the issue and we stayed there because my daughter needed a sleep study so we were on the Elliot hospital side could you imagine going in and taking your baby to get a sleep study and you're attacked by bedbug's. We had them all over us and neither the hospital nor the hotel did anything to help us with the issue we spent hundreds of dollars trying to get rid of them we even threw out a bed had to buy all new mattresses comforters sheets we washed 1 million clothes it was disgusting I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody there Dirty you would think a hotel with a Hospital in it would be immaculate and it wasn't it was the worst stay ever in my life.

Yelp
Excellent overall experience. Great central location. Very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent gym.

Yelp
Very clean hotel. I ended up with a room with double beds. The bds were extremely comfortable and I slept well. The bath products provided smelled wonderful they were by Crabtree and Evelyn lemon lavender scent. The staff was very friendly and happy to provide any help and local recommendations for our group to get food. The Currents restaurant had a great breakfast buffet, however it was not included in the room and was around $17 a person. My only complaint was that the red wine I ordered was served cold.

Yelp
Extra stars since we left a nalgene we got a phish show at the hotel. They mailed it back to us and left us a cute phish note!!!

Roger P.

Yelp
So far it's great, hotel is new, and great bar/food. Location is awesome, unlike most of Manchester. There are a dozen nice restaurants within a couple of blocks walking distance.

Ali K.

Yelp
Homophobic staff. Very awful treatment. Please avoid this place at all costs, the front desk staff was so mean and horrible for no reason. I've had good experiences at other Doubletree hotels but this one was so unusually terrible. Go somewhere else.

Yelp
I'm pleased to give an update to my previous review. On two subsequent stays, my rooms have been impeccably cleaned . The Hilton Honors reception offerings have been improving, with more variety and the option of ordering off the menu without changing locations. The staff that I have encountered have all been friendly and responsive to any suggestions that I have offered. Gregory provides efficient, welcoming and friendly interaction to guests who are checking in. Andrea, who works to manage events, can frequently be found interacting with guests who are relaxing in the beautiful lobby sitting area. Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Tanya, and I learned that she has the important role of caring for the specific needs of business travelers. She has been a joy to work with, has been responsive, and instrumental in providing the reassurance that I needed. I now feel comfortable in making this the destination that I will chose when business commitments bring me to this area. I look forward to recommending this location to others knowing that this hotel is ready to provide an excellent experience.

Yelp
This is my 2nd time staying in this hotel. KellyAnn has checked me in both time. She is absolutely accommodating and hospitable. She made incredible dinner recommendations & I'm pretty sure it's my new favorite place to dine. The hotel itself is immaculate, i most definitely will not stay anywhere else while visiting Manchester

Lex S.

Yelp
The hotel itself was a great stay! Excellent location downtown. Very nice rooms and bed. Upon arrival, John greeted us with a great attitude and was very welcoming. I wish I could say that about every other employees we encountered on our 8 day stay. Checking out, there was no thank you for staying, have a good day, safe travels, etc. We paid for our stay and the employee says, "that's it!" We said thank you and had nothing in return. Another time, we walked up to the desk to ask for a cookie, and the guy was on the computer with no customer and said, "she will be right with you". We stood there for two minutes and a lady came and just handed us the cookies with no remark. The guy who wouldn't help then began to joke around with another guy. Anytime that we went up to the desk, it felt like it was a huge inconvenience for them. Overall, hotel was nice, and John was nice. Housekeepers were nicer and talked to my husband and I more than the front desk employees did.

Mary L.

Yelp
I spent this past weekend here for a friends wedding and was really impressed with everything about the hotel. All of the staff that we interacted with were so friendly, from the moment we checked until the tine we checked out. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. The location was great, walking distance to many restaurants and bars. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area.

Edwin K.

Yelp
Dont stay here. Sara at front desk totally insensitive. A friend and family that were guests sat night, then had a car die in garage, were back today (monday) to try and retrieve car. My friend has a bladder infection and needs to urinate regularly. Sara totally insensitive, no bathroom possible. Terrible. No excuse.

Joanne D.

Yelp
Customer Service is unbeatable. The staff works very hard to address the needs of their customers. From reservations and special requests (no feathers, allergies), to general inquiries about the area, they go above and beyond. The hotel is centrally located. It is near the airport and main highways and the arena is right across the street. Rooms are very comfortable. This is my choice when traveling to New Hampshire.

Patrick L.

Yelp
First off, NO free wi-fi, I have not stayed in a hotel in more than 5 years that did not have free wi-fi, second front desk person was very dismissive, was told our groups rooms would not be ready until after 1, she never even checked, 3 minutes later spoke with another person at the desk and the rooms were ready. Beds are hard, TV went out many times, food was sub par. We are a state educational group that brings hundreds of people, literally over 600 people to the hotel for a conference and I will push the group to never use this hotel again. Avoid, go to Portsmouth or Concord!

Giannalone C.

Yelp
What started with me being pleasantly surprised with the hotel took only 10 steps in to take a turn. Location was convenient and found it very beautiful inside, but customer service was by far the worst I've ever endured. Rude front desk at check in, and came in at night excited to purchase some snacks and computers were down so couldn't charge to the room or use cards which we get it, life happens. But as I went to my room to get cash for myself and my guests they were accused of stealing even though we explained we were getting the cash and after purchased everything we had they were asked to empty their pockets because "he knew they were stealing". Seemed like front desk Matthew sadly was profiling and was so mistaken. I called to ask his name so that I could speak to management and he said no and hung up. Check out was same rude Attitude from staff which was so disappointing. For positives the bar and restaurant staff were fantastic, and the room was comfortable and clean. Customer service isn't for everyone, and racial profiling needs to stop.

R M.

Yelp
Friendly staff BUT the website says pet friendly BUT pets art NOT allowed. Had to change hotel plans.

Ed B.

Yelp
Full disclosure: I did not stay at the hotel, but attended several events in the bar/lounge during the 2020 primary election. The place was very busy, as it is ground central for media during the presidential primary. The last night, election night, the bartenders were absolutely RUDE!!! The manager did his best to calm them down and let the customers know they were staying open while the place was busy. The primary "first in the nation" to vote is well known in Manchester, New Hampshire. It brings in so much business to their economy. But the two female bartenders were the rudest people I have met, especially in the services industry. The customers were very generous...these are media producers, crew, writers, top reporters etc. I know for certain many customers reduced and pulled their tips. One of the bartenders actually threw a temper-tantrum to the manager, who by the way did a great job filling in when she stormed off. I hope next year they hire bartenders who understand that it will get busy on election night and enjoy the business.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The convention facilities were perfect and here, too, the staff was great. The location is a great o e, right downtown with lots of shops and restaurants nearby; and the attached parking garage was great to use. Unfortunately, the food served at our big meeting/dinner was less than pleasing. I am a vegetarian and was extremely disappointed in the entree. i have no idea exactly what it was, but the appearance was horrible: it appeared to be a scoop of raw hamburger. After poking at it and eventually sampling it, I believe it was something made with beets. The taste wasn't particularly good and the appearance just freaked me out. How is it a good idea to serve vegetarians something that looks like raw meat? There are so many other vegetarian dishes they could have offered, including one from their restaurant menu involving Brussels sprouts and lentils. Major fail.

Yelp
Over the top wedding professionals! We pulled off a wonderful wedding thanks to Caitlyn and the other excellent staff at the DoubleTree by Hilton in less than 7 weeks! While I don't advocate you only leave yourself 6 weeks, Caitlyn and staff helped us with getting the details together. The room was beautiful, many compliments on the food form our guests. The bride and groom made delicious selections: Passed HD's: spring rolls w/ mea ploy sauce, maple cream & pancetta crostini, spanakopita, scallops wrapped in bacon Stationed: Cheese, crackers, fruit Toast: Sparkling cider Caesar salad - plated & served Buffet: chicken cordon bleu w/ cream sauce, butternut squash ravioli, teriyaki salmon, mashed potatoes my brother devoured, vegetable medley - green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots. Vegan and GF meals sent to the special guest at their table. Dessert Station - assorted cheesecake lollipops & mini desserts with displayed wedding cake & coffee station. Caitlyn lined us up with a terrific DJ. (DJ Petro), flowers, cake, linens, limo, everything to make the day perfect. All in the quoted budget, so there were no surprises in price. (Bride and groom also play a factor in staying on budget.) If you want to take the hassle out of putting a wedding together that will amaze, call Caitlyn, she's got you covered.
