My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Rome Monti. The biggest win? It’s literally a 7-10 minute stroll from Roma Termini station. Roll off the train, grab your suitcase, and you’re practically there—no taxis, no drama (well… almost none, more on that in a sec).||The staff were genuinely warm and on the ball throughout, but Christina at the Mamalia restaurant deserves her own gold star. She was attentive without hovering, full of great recommendations, and had that effortless friendliness that makes a meal feel special. Dinner there became one of the highlights of the trip.||Rooms are sleek and comfortable, the signature warm cookie on arrival is still a mood-lifter, and the rooftop bar (Mùn) delivers killer views and solid cocktails. The Monti neighborhood around it feels lively and real, yet you’re still an easy walk or quick metro ride from the Colosseum, Forum, and everything else.||Now, the one unexpected twist: when we arrived from Termini, we unwittingly walked straight into the heart of a massive feminist march—flags waving, megaphones blaring, the works. Our short “relaxing” walk turned into an accidental solidarity strut (I even got handed a flyer—still not sure if I was recruited). Rome does love its spontaneous spectacle!||All things considered, that little detour didn’t dent the experience one bit. I’m happily giving the DoubleTree Rome Monti a very solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. Excellent service, prime location, and a free cultural immersion on arrival.||Highly recommended, and I’ll be back next time I’m in town!
