First, my hubby has cancer, so we've been there twice and have way more reservations upcoming. You are met with the aroma of chocolate chip cookies on arrival. Delightful! I've been most incredibly impressed by housekeeper Jayla. Our rooms have been impeccably clean. I'm a nurse and clean Freak! Amazing and helpful and clean. Location perfect walking distance for appointments, we take a lot of personal needs and great luggage rack. I walked to the local Whole Foods for needs and in 12 inches of snow they have a garage! Only glitch... Did not clear sidewalks so treacherous for patients and guests, but the cleanliness made a standout in my book!

Convenient location to the hospital. That's the positive. $175 a night and that's a discounted rate. $175 for 2 beds to sleep in and a shower. Parking was extra, breakfast was extra. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. It just baffles me that is $175 a night discounted rated for family members who have loved ones at the hospital. We ended up checking out after two nights and going to another hotel that at least included breakfast. Those with loved ones at the hospital are already getting hammered with having to pay parking fees, extra food costs, extra gas (we live 2.5 hours away). So Hilton, please reconsider your fees for those with family at the hospital. We need a break too. Your discounted price is not really a discount.

I recently stayed at this DoubleTree property solely because of its direct skyway connection to the hospital. Unfortunately, that convenience was the only real positive of my stay. First off, the hotel is in dire need of a renovation. It feels run-down, and the overall condition does not reflect the standards expected from a DoubleTree-branded hotel. I've stayed at many and this one feels a couple steps down. My room was a prime example—stains on every piece of furniture (see pictures), damaged window shades, and a questionable metal grate seemingly covering a hole in the wall. The view from my room was of the parking garage, with cars parked just feet from my window, which would have been a security concern if the windows opened. I also had the pleasure of hearing car alarms going off at different hours during the stay. The bathroom was an absolute nightmare. Rust stains, a poorly patched ceiling that will need to be patched again as it’s wet—so there must still be a leak—and worst of all, no hot water for my morning shower (see pictures). Taking a cold shower was not how I wanted to start my day. Another frustrating issue was the lack of a privacy sign in my room. Because of this, housekeeping knocked on my door both mornings when they shouldn’t have had to. This all could have been avoided had there been a “Do Not Distrust” sign available. To top it off, even the public areas weren’t well-maintained. One of the hand soap dispensers in the men’s lobby bathroom was just straight-up missing (see pictures). It’s a small thing, but I think it says a lot about the overall upkeep of the hotel. The front staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Those people and the staff is why this hotel still works. I’ve included pictures so you can see exactly what I’m talking about. While I stayed on a hospital rate, the condition of the hotel still didn’t feel like a good value. Next time, I’ll probably stay elsewhere and Uber to the hospital rather than deal with these issues for that price again. Would not recommend unless management invests in some serious renovations.

Great experience! Loved the easy access to the hospital through the skywalk and the fact that there is a restaurant on site. Very nice room and great bed, very comfortable. Only thing that was lacking were the shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower were all empty. I brought my own though. Thanks for the great stay and convenience! Will recommend to others and I will be back.

This was my second visit, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. Upon arrival, I found hair in the shower, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, a maintenance worker was staining/painting our door at 6:30 PM while we were in the room trying to relax. The paint on the bathroom ceiling is peeling, and the toilet seat is broken. The front desk staff did not fulfill any of our room requests and were very rude. Despite having scheduled an early check-in upon booking, I was told I was "lucky" to get a one-hour early check-in without an additional charge, which is not true based on my extensive travel experience. Furthermore, our room had a view directly into a parking garage, which was disappointing. I chose this hotel for its proximity to the hospital, but I regretted my decision both times I stayed.

Google
If you are looking for a convenient and cheap room and can tolerate a lot, then this may be your place. But this location definitely doesn't live up to the expectations of a national Hilton property. Customer service was non-existent. Breakfast was overpriced and poor quality. Problems with the room took multiple calls to be addressed, some problems were simply not addressed Walls were thin, so any noise in neighboring rooms was easily heard We'll be staying elsewhere next time we're in STL.

I've stayed at many doubletree facilities across the United States. This particular Doubletree caters to the Barnes Jewish Hospital including Siteman Cancer Center. They don't have comfortable chairs in rooms for sick people , that can't lay down . Beds are so high off the floor, sick people can't get in them. Every place I've ever been , had free coffee around the clock in the lobby, not here they charge for everything. No complimentary Breakfast. And to get a hot cookie was like pulling teeth. I will not be staying here again. The supervisor was very unprofessional and not welcoming at all. The overall accommodations for 4 people was a joke. The tub was peeling and wasn't accessible for sick people to get in. If your going to be there for sick people , your rooms need to reflect that.

Google
My room was so not ok for the 206 dollars it cost . Let’s get started. Check in slow but it’s ok had a long day at the hospital and just wanted my big king bed . I get to the room and I have two queens . I decided not to even complain it’s fine . As I look around more I found a hair on the toilet . The shower ceiling is cracking . The stains ALL over the mattress base were very very sketchy !! I Lysol’d the room down and left for a while . Came back turn on TV and cable is out . Now this was a known issue most of the day I found out but guests were not being told at check in about the problem . This was probably one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever stayed in . My room was maybe just a fluke. As I worked all day and stared at how much I paid I decided to let everyone know my experience . I would have worked it out with management but I have called twice and they don’t come to the phone . It just rings and rings. I go to work very early so I check out early . The front desk person seemed annoyed by my call . Left my key in the room and just got the heck out of there . Never again that is for sure .

Yelp
Clean and comfortable room. I was given a free upgrade with Hilton gold status to a suite which was nice to have some extra sitting and hanging out space. I used the fitness center every morning, which had a nice selection of cardio equipment, a peloton, dumbbells, and two leg machines. The breakfast is edible but below average, and not worth paying for unless you have Hilton Diamond/Gold and can get it for free (which I did). Expect overcooked scrambled eggs, greasy breakfast meats, white breads, and some berries and yogurt. Coffee is pretty good though. Super convenient to stay here if you're visiting the WashU hospital.

Yelp
I have stayed at this property 3 times this year and yes the property is older, needs some upgrading but it's clean, the water pressure in the shower is great, and the bed is super comfortable. The staff is also all very friendly and helpful. Nothing exciting about breakfast but there is lots of places to eat if you walk across the street. Fabulous French restaurant, coffee shop, a Whole Foods, all very close. I was working at the hospital so it was really convenient since there is a walk through bridge from the 3rd floor.

Yelp
The DoubleTree was our home for a very long weekend in St. Louis. It's located near the Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital at the Southern tip of the Central West End. We didn't have any overwhelmingly positive or overwhelmingly negative experiences. It was all middle of the road, with the standard things you'd expect from a hotel. The smell of fresh, warm cookies in the lobby always turns our frowns upside down though! We took advantage of the breakfast buffet the first morning, and for $12 you can definitely get your money's worth if you're on a budget. Bottomless coffee and the usual suspects of breakfast foods. However, it's nothing to get out of bed for if you know what I mean? Our room had a parking lot view, a closet, refrigerator, coffee maker, desk, TV, ample charging stations and two queen beds. The beds were, in fact, comfortable and cozy. Probably my favorite "amenity" was the close, walking distance proximity to restaurants and shops in the Central West End. I went to Kaldi Coffee Roasters every day (sometimes twice) and there are other great places nearby like Lazy Tiger, Saigon Cafe, Brennan's, etc. Keep in mind you do have to Uber/Lyft to get to other parts of the city like Downtown, The Hill, etc. Nothing service or amenity wise blew it out of the water, but it served as a solid home base.

Yelp
Do not stay at this hotel. Besides being very low end with no updates, there was a loud construction project going on all night with trucks backing up and heavy metal objects dangling right next to my hotel room. It is an overpriced low budget horrible place. However, the staff was very nice and there was oatmeal although breakfast was overpriced. Creepy place!

Aaron D.

Yelp
The staff ignore you when you talk to them. Many of the areas of the hotel smell. The cost and exterior read like a high end hotel, but inside it's run like a budget hotel.

Lissa S.

Yelp
Nice facility, spacious lobby and rooms. We paid extra for the morning breakfast buffet. The problem we faced was when we arrived for our breakfast each morning, around 9:15 am, the offerings in the buffet were either gone or picked over with very little left. We had to ask for coffee and hot water, as the pots were empty. The hotel said "breakfast" was until 10:00 am, yet as stated above, the employees didn't keep up with the demand and started cleaning up the entire buffet prior to 10:00 am. We also had difficulty with getting clean towels. So that's why I can't recommend this hotel 100%.

Angelo B.

Yelp
Pros: Fairly quiet Clean Need was comfortable although the pillows were too thick for my preference Choc cookie at check in 2 complimentary water bottles Fridge and coffee Few cafes within walking distance Free bfast Cons: Downgrading this from 4 to 3 stars just due to the fact that its valet only. I hate valeting, and it's even worse here because the valet took forever to co Ed collect the car

Yelp
After reading other reviews we were hesitant to book here but I'm so glad we did. The room was impeccably clean and our view from the 7th floor was beautiful. Although the bathroom could have benefited from an upgrade it did not detract from our experience. But, what really made our experience so special was the staff. Everyone was welcoming and incredibly friendly. I would highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to St Louis!

Yelp
We were here for a meeting. The first accessible room was beautiful but the bed height was 32" so we moved to a different room with a bed that was lower (25"). The on duty manager, Karen, was familiar with room configurations. She was quite nice & knowledgeable and exhibited sensitivity and thoughtfulness regarding accessibility requirements. The second room wasn't nearly as nice as the first room - no reading lights on bed, roll in shower seemed old, etc. It seems as though some of the rooms may have been updated but not all. The biggest issue we had was with the parking garage. You first need to check in before you can enter the garage. There were only 4 or 5 handicapped spaces and not all were van accessible. It was very difficult to maneuver in such a way as to park - especially with only one spot available at the time of our check in. Other spaces were on an incline so some with mobility issues may have trouble there as well. The hotel restaurant is an Applebee's so if that is not your preference you need to leave the property. There is a Panera that is quite close. The breakfast is decent. The young woman in charge of helping at breakfast was a bright spot - she was friendly, helpful and super sweet.

Brandi T.

Yelp
We stayed here to visit some family in the neighboring hospital. The valet and front desk staff were very polite. The hotel was clean but is definitely in need of some repairs. Our room had this weird opening in the ceiling of the bathroom. Gotta sleep with one eye open just in case there were any weirdos hiding up there. There was also a bunch of peeling paint chips on the floor of the shower. For $180+ a night, i'd expect the hotel to have better repairs.

Lolita S.

Yelp
Not bad. Beware priceline jumping in to get the reservation placed through their website titled guest reservation.

Aaron B.

Yelp
Hilton has taken over this hotel - engaged in a rebranding - partial remodel and hung out their shingle. A solid job all the way around. Expect the Hilton brand and level of focused, caring service within the Double Tree brand. Lobby is nicely appointed and when you enter your senses will be met with the sweet, warm smells of the famous Double Tree cookie. Cookies are kept warm and there are plenty to go around. Nice touch on the rooms - true 4k televisions and super and I mean super comfortable beds. Towels are lush and large enough for a lug like me (I'm 6'3"). There are some minor things which still need attention (frayed carpets in the common area) and access to the parking garage feels like you are walking into a maze. But all in all - a great location! Will definitely stay again.

Yelp
This was the worst hotel experience of my life. The room was right above the restaurant and was filled with smoke and kitchen smells. I asked to be moved, and they declined. The Uber driver who took me to a different place said that he often takes people away because the place smells so bad. DO NOT GO HERE.

Rob S.

Yelp
I booked a room for 2 nights because I had an appointment Barnes Jewish. My flight didn't get in until 2AM. Took a $50 Uber ride to the hotel. When I got there, the doors were locked. I tried talking to the front desk people via intercom, but it was mostly static. After several minutes they let me in. Then they told me they canceled my reservation. It was 3AM and I'm sitting outside on the curb in rainy 35° weather trying to find another room. I prepaid on Expedia and the room is non-refundable. I'm out nearly $300 and almost $100 in Uber charges.

Katie S.

Yelp
Stayed here for a weekend trip and it was just okay. Not great, but not the worst. For starters, the parking garage is a huge mess. There are arrows going every which way, and no signage to direct you towards the hotel. The doors to get to the hotel from the parking garage go right next to a couple smokers' poles, which I did not appreciate. It reeked of smoke every time we walked to our car, which I could have done without. The room itself was nice, nothing special. We were there for 2 nights and our room never got cleaned, so I'm not sure what happened there. We were out for most of the day and when we arrived back the room was untouched. Unfortunate. This hotel is connected by sky-walk to the BJC Hospital, and it is in the same block as the campus. Our room overlooked Forest Park Avenue and we heard ambulance sirens multiple times per night. Just keep that in mind if you are looking for a quieter hotel or room - this might not be your place. We enjoyed the location and proximity to Downtown/Forest Park, but we probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

DeAnne P.

Yelp
Although there was a construction areas outside, Terry at the front desk personally helped with my elderly mother and walked me to my parking spot and back to the lobby. Super nice and helpful service and beautiful clean rooms! Breakfast was the full spread and had very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Raquel S.

Yelp
Wow! This place is gorgeous! The staff is helpful and kind. They have popcorn and tea/coffee in the lobby. Cookies after 5pm. Comfy robes in the rooms. The room is immaculate and updated with a Kurig in my room! The bed looks so comfy and there is free shuttled service to nearby areas. Bird and lime are also available all around. I will check out their pool and workout area tomorrow.

David Y.

Yelp
Room and facilities were fine. Actually had a couple of good night's sleep. The staff seemed uninspired. I stored my bags when my room wasn't ready and when the Porter? brought them out didn't ask to bring them to the room so I guess they don't really have a Porter? But the worst part was the 3rd floor room had the most ridiculous view of a parking garage ten feet from my window. Upon checking one of the workers was vacuuming the lobby and literally moving within an inch of my feet. My suggestion to the manager - don't vacuum the lobby between 11am and noon when people are checking out and waiting in the lobby. It's very loud and annoying. Won't be coming back sorry to say.

Sandy K.

Yelp
My sister and I stayed here when our mom had surgery, so we could be close if needed. When we arrived we couldn't get in the parking garage. We were told it was closed and would have to park in the hospitals garage and pay the fees for the hourly rate. So we took our bags to our room and went back down, moved the car to the garage, and then came back to drop our coats off at our room. We were tired so we went to the attached Applebees restaurant to eat supper but there wasn't enough wait staff to be able to be seated for at least 45 minutes. So we decided to do take out. I bought chips and dip appetizer and a 9 oz. glass of wine. That was $22.00 plus tip. Then we asked at the desk about breakfast. The charge would be $1.50- $9.00 depending on what you order. So you have a room costing $184.00 plus fees and taxes, payed parking, payed breakfast, and not so good food in the restaurant at high prices. I will say the beds are very comfortable. The only chair is a desk chair. Next time I'll stay where I don't have to pay for all of this.

Chris J.

Yelp
We stayed here because of the location with the children's hospital because we had appointments for our child. The place was disgusting. As soon as we got off the elevator there it reeked of cheap air freshener trying to mask the smell of marijuana and cigarettes. All night the room next to us was up listening to loud music while smoking marijuana and cigarettes. If you are staying in the area for the children's hospital and have a sick child I would not recommend staying here. We will be traveling the extra distance and staying at a different location.

Kev L.

Yelp
The freaking worst hotel in the area by far! Check in slow agents arguing with each other about cookies to guest. Horrible instructions on where to park and oh no Valet. Only dining option was an Apple Bees attached to hotel with an hour and 40 minute wait. Worst part hotel is located by 2 hospitals where I'll people stay while receiving care. With all these people's worries they don't need crappy hotel services

Patty L.

Yelp
The rooms are nice but there is no hotel parking. You have to check in and take your bags up and then drive around the block and pay for parking in the Euclid Garage. They charge for breakfast. For the $180. You would think that would be included. The restaurant didn't have enough help so we had to order take out. Crazy.

Arvid Y.

Yelp
Stayed here one night for an interview in St. Louis. Conveniently located half a block away from St. Louis Children's Hospital and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. There is an attached Applebee's which is open until 11 pm on most nights, if you're coming in late and are looking for a quick bite to eat. There are also many restaurants and cafe patios within walking distance. I guess the hospital employment provides a big lunch crowd. A room with a single King sized bed was $129 per night. It was paid for by my interviewers, so that was nice. Garage parking is an additional $5 per night. Within walking distance to the Central West End Metrolink and adjacent to Forest Park. It's also aboutt 2.5 miles from SLU. Complimentary breakfast provided in the lobby. I checked out early, but saw them setting up and it looked pretty basic: coffee, cereal, bagels, etc. The room itself was clean and spacious. The furnishings were a little dated, but that's nitpicking. I don't really have much to add. My only gripe is that there's no free or even pay wifi. I believe there's free wifi in the lobby and also free ethernet internet in the rooms. Overall a convenient place to stay if you're visiting the hospitals or SLU.

Shoba C.

Yelp
Overall poor front desk reception. Poor breakfast service . Terrible room service. Disappointing especially as it's in Central West end and Hilton

Dave M.

Yelp
Everything was fine with the room until the front desk and security knocked on my door while I was sleeping and then came in and told me they were charging $250 for smoking in the room because there was smoke in the hallway. I've never smoked in my life. The front desk guy didn't ask me if I was smoking in the room, he just barged in and said that they were fining me because they had a complaint and I was the only one occupying that area. Luckily the security kid decided he didn't smell smoke in the room, despite their incredible deduction abilities. Not sure what how to prove I wasn't smoking if they stuck to their stupid guns. The front desk detective have a half-assed apology and slinked away. Fun way to wake up from a dead sleep.

Lindsay F.

Yelp
Unfortunately, not a very positive experience. The rooms themselves were nice enough, and the breakfast was decent. However, the shower floor had someone's footprints on it, which was pretty gross. We also had a bad experience with the shuttle driver, who told us he couldn't drive us anywhere unless we had a full shuttle (13 people). Why offer a free shuttle service if your guests can't use it without a big group? We also had the housekeeping people enter our room TWICE when we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door. Luckily no one was undressed, and they did apologize. However, we felt this was inappropriate and an invasion of privacy.

Yelp
I have stayed at this hotel twice since April, both extended stays for medical reasons (Barnes Jewish Hospital is literally across the street.) In April, we were placed in a room with the IDEAL layout for someone recovering from surgery, with surgical drains still in place - so when I returned in November, I asked for a room of the same layout. I made the reservation on August 29, for 2 weeks, asking them to please place me in one of the rooms with that layout - and I called at least 7 times in the months leading up to checkin to ask. Each time I was told it wouldn't be an issue. I called the night before and was given the same answer - in fact, the employee went so far as to tell me that they were still empty. Then, I get there the next day at 3:45 (checkin is at 4:00) and I get told that all those rooms were given away before I got there. The front desk attendant (Karen) was very rude and obviously did not care that I had made the request so far in advance, involving such an extended stay. When I tried to ask if we could simply switch rooms once one of the others became available, she told me to check with her tomorrow. I was going to be in surgery starting the next morning, so I was trying to get it all straightened out for the person who was going to be helping me. However, when I called the front desk to ask how that would normally work out (hypothetically, do we move our belongings? when would we need to be there? etc) she actually told the employee who answered my call to tell me, "You don't need to worry about moving your stuff anyway." How do I know it was the same person? 1. I could hear her in the background. 2. I asked the poor young man if it was the same woman I spoke with in person earlier that evening and he confirmed it. After all that, while I was in surgery the next day and unable to assist with anything, I was told you did (after you were asked again) offer a move to one of the rooms I initially asked for, but you didn't make the process easy at all - and the person helping me has a prosthetic leg and couldn't deal with all of that on top of my medical issues. He declined the move to preserve his own health (physical and mental at that point.) I will be returning to St Louis multiple times a year, for extended periods each time - but I will not be returning to this hotel.

Z. S.

Yelp
The Hotel is in a very safe part of the city. There is an Applebees downstairs in the lobby. Several decent bars are within walking distance. Parking is not free, it's in a ramp near the hotel. The hotel is slightly overpriced, the room will not blow you away.

Henry P.

Yelp
Bought a one night stay at an auction and gave it to my cousin to use around the Thanksgiving holiday. He confirmed there was a room available then when he called back to book it nnobody would answer his call. He scrambled for a room and then returned to Indianapolis with the original certificate in hand. Now the hotel is telling me a friend of mine who is stuck in St Louis due to the ice storm coming in is unable to use it because we don't have the original piece of paper even though it has a coupon code on it. Really silly way to run a business. I'll never be a patron that's for sure.

Jessica C.

Yelp
I live in the same neighborhood as this hotel and it's the place I have my out of town guests stay if they're not in the mood to couch surf or inflate my air mattress. The Parkway has a great location and is Metrolink accessible (meaning you can get there from the airport very easily). The price is always good (ask them about their AAA discount, it's something like $10 off a room) and the hotel is always clean. It's still relatively new and in great shape. The last room my guest stayed in had a flat screen TV as well as microwave and mini fridge, discretely hidden in the furniture. The Parkway includes breakfast in the price of your room and has afternoon snacks. It's not as fancy as the Chase Park Plaza, but for the price it is a really solid, clean, new-ish hotel. If you're looking for a place to stay in the Central West End, I highly recommend it.

Erin M.

Yelp
I chose The Parkway to stay at with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding, and then to return to with my husband on my wedding night. The only issue we had checking in was that my bank declined the transactions for the final 2 rooms (I think I might have hit daily spending limit that day since I'd also put the rehearsal dinner on that card that night) but I just used a different card and everything was fine. No fault of The Parkway. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I really liked that I was able to just charge parking passes to my room. I had two bridesmaids park that night, and then my husband the next day, and it really made things easy that I could just have them add it to the room. The suite was awesome! It was comfortable and pleasant, with a great view. One of my best memories from the night before was all of my bridesmaids sitting around the suite in our pajamas, talking and laughing. There was lots of room for the hair and makeup people to do their thing the next morning, and the maid came by SEVERAL times to get rid of trash so the room would be clean when I returned with my husand that night. I had requested when I checked in that someone come up and make the bed early in the morning (our photographer had told me to) and they did exactly as I'd asked. During one of the trash visits, the maid even asked if I wanted her to make up the bed again so it looked as best as it could. At one point, the hair and makeup people asked if I could call down to the front to see if we could borrow a barstool-height chair. Strange request for sure, but they found one and sent it up immediately! All of my girls were comfortable in the doubles I'd booked for them. A few of them stayed the evening of the wedding also (we'd gotten a room block - Angela did a great job managing this and answering all my questions). The shuttle was on time and the driver was friendly. Breakfast was good. Hotel was pretty, clean, and we managed to get back in just enough time on my wedding night to order appetizers from the Applebee's downstairs, which arrived quickly. I'd definitely stay here again, and want to thank them for the part they played in making my wedding spectacular!

Yelp
The room is spacious and the bathroom was clean, BUT the key to the room never works and you have to constantly have someone come up to open the door...had to go to the restroom and wait for someone to open the door and no one ever came. Stay somewhere where you can at least get into your room!

Rachel H.

Yelp
My bff's parents rescued the two of us by getting us an extra night at this hotel instead of leaving us to our own devices and the horrible whims associated with sleeping over at the apartment of a college aged boy, mid move-out, as he plays computer games and does other unsavory activities instead of cleaning. Thank you Parkway for keeping me and my New Kids pillowcase clean. The rooms were clean and pretty standard and the service was friendly. We definitely took advantage of the free continental breakfast, or more specifically, the free juice. They also have free, freshly popped popcorn in the lobby. I was sad there was no pool and the parking garage is laid out in such a way that you may never find your way back to your room, your car, or anywhere else for that matter, though I think that's because of construction mostly. Also, you cannot take your firearms into the hotel. See photo.

Yelp
Most of these reviews are old and outdated so I feel the need to update! The hotel has been completely renovated and it's beautiful. I stayed here before and after and wow what a difference. The rooms are very nice, clean, and modern. I'm obsessed with the super soft blanket they put on the bed too. I'm shopping for one online now! ;) The staff is always nice and free popcorn and warm cookies can't be beat! The location is perfect especially if you need to access the hospital - you don't even have to go outside! There's an Applebee's attached to the hotel as well and a Panera directly across the street. Also it's nice to park in the garage as a hotel guest at no additional charge. My only complaint is the breakfast - it's very meh. For the nightly rate I feel the breakfast food could definitely be better. Overall, I highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
Wish they has a ZERO. This hotel has the most RUDE front desk person "Lynn" and the supervisor couldn't under her for her name. Called when Saint Louis was opening up from Covid and wanted, needed to make a reservation for a wedding on the 29th of May. Would not let us make a one night reservation because of "graduations". I explained we were waiting for 2nd shot and opening up of venues. Was given by the event sales manager an "I don't care, this is it attitude". Will never stay or recommend this hotel. My husband and I travel and stay at a lot of Hiltons and NEVER receive this kind of treatment. You would think with things opening up venues would do anything to accommodate the traveler. So much for celebrating the wonderful wedding at the same hotel as everyone else. Very sad.

Yelp
I wish I could give this hotel a ZERO RATING. Do not book here. We had a large group stay here for a dance competition this weekend. They nearly screwed up every guests' reservation, the hotel cleaning staff didn't clean our room AND walked in twice unannounced on my 13 year old daughter changing her clothes. There were families that showed up with no reservation, a family of 5 who had to sleep on the floor bc they only had them booked in one bed, families waiting for HOURS in the lobby without rooms.... the staff here sucks and all they could offer us was denial of their shitty service and fresh cookies as their apology.

Yelp
This hotel was just ok. It had a few oddities that made it less than ideal but served its purpose generally. The good: the room was clean, there's an Applebee's attached - just off the lobby, and it's walking distance to other cool restaurants and bars, and it's near a beautiful park. Free parking in an attached garage and decent free coffee in the lobby at breakfast time. The not so good: my room was on the 2nd floor and possibly over the laundry room as there was a constant shaking sound/feeling. My room was also right beside the elevators and I could hear everything in the hall. It also had a very strong, fake air freshener smell - frustrating for anyone sensitive to strong scents (ex. migraine inducing). This hotel seems to be a place where people stay after a medical procedure or while waiting for treatment. It really did feel like a hospital waiting room at times. There was a wheelchair in the hallway that was from one of multiple hospitals located beside the hotel. The Applebee's was packed on Saturday at 11pm (there was a 30 min wait so we sat at the bar) with people that seemed to just be waiting around. One of the guests clearly had a foot or ankle injury and literally hopped on one leg through the restaurant. I'm not sure I'd stay here again or recommend it to anyone. The price would have to be really low.

Yelp
I stayed at the Parkway in October 2017 - two nights for a wedding. I have nothing positive to say about my stay. After checking out and receiving a invoice for our stay, I found I was charged $50 over that price. What's worse, is so far no one at the hotel has been able to tell me why. My first stay was with bridesmaids for a wedding. We were treated extremely poorly. Were told there was no one to help us bring our bags or loads of wedding items up to our room. Waited 40 minutes for extra sheets. Were called and bothered late in the evening with information we'd already supplied the front desk about late-arriving guests. The next day the hotel shuttle was 25 min late to pickup the groomsman as had been arranged weeks earlier. The shuttle simply never showed and no one at the hotel was of help to get it there. Lastly, the receptionist couldn't figure out how to check my bag when my room wasn't ready. She said to my request "I guess we can leave it in the office." Then couldn't find my bag hours later when I was ready to go to my room. The service here is laughable, the breakfast is lousy and the beds were hard. This is the most critical review I've left any business, but The Parkway deserves no better review for a terrible 2-night stay.

Yelp
My biggest gripe is the parking situation. The parking garage is totally separate from the hotel. The front desk worker told me it would be easiest to park my car in the driveway and take all my luggage up to my room first, and then park the car in the garage. The driveway can accommodate maybe six cars at its curb before you're blocking traffic! And there's no elevator in the parking garage so I had to walk up and down the parking ramp with my heavy workbags daily. That, and the parking spots are fairly tight. About the room itself, it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job! After a couple breakfasts, I opted to skip it because it wasn't great. Wifi was consistent. And my room was a great deal.

Yelp
This hotel is greatly put together. I did a late check in while arriving into town. The rooms were neat and beds were super comfortable. I like the idea of nice fresh clean bedding and while on your stay you can reuse them. They have this card on which you can get new bedding sheets or reuse the same ones. I personally didn't care. They have complimentary fresh popcorn and baked cookies for guest at the hotel and even a shuttle. I'll definitely be booking with them again. Plus Applebee's and Panera bread is right there! Great location and just a few blocks down you have amazing restaurants and bars! Total win!

Yelp
Short and sweet is my style. These days, I am only compelled to review a place only if I disagree with other ppl's reviews, just so that everyone can see that there's always two sides of a coin. The current reviews do not do this place justice. What more can you ask for besides a clean room, lots of free amenities including free wifi in the lobby, free internet via ethernet cable in the rooms, a free "business center" where i printed my boarding pass for my flight out, a decent small gym with all the essentials, and friendly customer service? I've gone to 5 star hotels in NY and Chicago that didn't offer free internet. I prefer creature comforts and necessities over bling and this place has done a fine job of making me feel comfortable away from home. They even have a small convenience store where I bought a stick of deodorant, which I forgot at home. Thank you Parkway Hotel

Yelp
Horrible customer service at The Parkway Hotel!! We stay here out of absolute necessity when my sister goes to Siteman Cancer for treatment. Her oncologist frequently cancels appointments the day before. Depending on who you talk to and if you book through a third party, you may not get a refund! In April, I was able to get a refund, in May I was out $ 158.54. The Rooms are average. Breakfast buffet definitely poor. Ryan the night supervisor is not helpful at all and does not want to be bothered with customers. Unfortunately, there are not very many options regarding places to stay near Washington University.

Yelp
Very helpful staff. Front desk was very professional and helpful. "Ace" on the engineering staff went out of his way to help me with a car problem. Location is excellent. Breakfast was good. All in all a great place to stay.

Yelp
We really like staying at this hotel either for doctors appointments at Barnes or for downtown concerts. It is close to Metro and restaurants and staff is great. Had an issue however with their third part reservation, the 1 866 324 7700 number is not just a toll free to the hotel but goes to Reservations.com. Reservations.com person was not very accommodating and we immediately found two charges on our credit card for 14.99 and another for several hundred dollars for the hotel. We called the hotel directly and they do not charge in advance and had no idea about the fees. Called our credit card company and they are doing a fraud investigation. My advice is to call hotel directly (number at bottom of web page) and never use the toll free number.

Yelp
The purpose of the the trip was to attend a Cardinal Ballgame. Overall, except for the Cardinals losing, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is on the southern edge of the Central West End and short walking distance to numerous bars and restaurants. Also the Metro Train Station is just a few blocks away which goes directly to Busch stadium. The hotel itself was clean and service good. They offered a nice free breakfast which was more than just pastries and coffee. All the fixtures worked and there was plenty of hot water. The free Wi-Fi worked well. The only knock was the key card to let you in the parking garage was a bit touchy. Rate the stay: PService - 4 Cleanliness - 4 Comfort - 3 Condition - 4 Local area - 5

Yelp
Great little hotel for what it is. Nothing fancy, but nothing skeezy either. Within walking distance to Forest Park and all the great little restaurants in CWE. Our room was clean and our bed was comfortable. That's all we really asked for.

Yelp
For what this hotel does, it does pretty well. The Parkway Hotel is conveniently located near the Central West End metrolink stop in a fun part of town. Unfortunately the staff is not readily knowledgeable about a lot of things, fortunately they will happily do what it takes to get you answers. There's always coffee, tea, and popcorn in the spacious, marbled lobby and rooms are big and comfortable. There are loads of channels on the television and the thermostat is fast and functional. Cleaning staff is very friendly and approachable and consistently thorough. This hotel does not have a pool and it's fitness center consists of two treadmills in a teeny tiny room. But I guess it does the job, right? Hilariously, the hotel restaurant is an Applebee's, but a NICE NEW Applebee's. I'm no snob, it also does the job. Fortunately continental breakfast included lots of single serving bottles/cartons of water, various juices, and milk so were great for stashing in your bag on the way out. Unfortunately, the bagels were bags of Lender's emptied onto trays (I have visual proof!) I was between a three and a four on this review. I guess it all boils down to the fact that for the essentials, this hotel was lovely.
