We spent 8–9 December at this hotel on full board, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The property is surrounded by nature, creating a calm and refreshing atmosphere. The food was consistently delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff were warm, polite, and always ready to help. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained, with every facility we needed for a comfortable stay. The entire team from management to housekeeping deserves appreciation for maintaining such high standards. A truly amazing place to relax and enjoy. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Weerawila!

We had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Weerawila in December 2025. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and beautifully presented, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. A special mention to Nimesh with the room, who did a great job and even came by to check if we needed anything else — a thoughtful touch that really stood out. The food was excellent, with a great variety and a well-curated spread throughout our stay. Travelling with a toddler isn’t always easy, but the hotel staff were incredibly accommodating, happily assisting with special food requests and offering a helping hand whenever needed. The hotel also has a large outdoor kids’ area, which our son absolutely loved. It has several slides and other play activities that kept him happily entertained. Overall, a fantastic family-friendly resort with warm hospitality. We would definitely visit again soon.

Our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton was simply perfect. The staff were absolutely outstanding — warm, friendly, and always there exactly when needed. We arrived late from our safari for our scheduled massage, and without any hesitation or inconvenience, they immediately rearranged our appointment. Everything was handled with such care and professionalism. We were more than happy with the massages, and the time spent at this hotel truly felt like something out of a fairytale. Even though the hotel was full of guests, it never felt crowded or overwhelming. If you wake up early to watch the sunrise, you’ll be greeted by the beautiful chorus of nature surrounding the hotel — a magical way to start the day. We highly recommend a peaceful morning walk through the garden and a swim in the stunning pool before breakfast. In the evening, working out at the gym during sunset, with its incredible view, is an experience not to be missed. The rooftop cocktails are far beyond anything you can imagine in terms of taste and overall experience. We cannot wait to return! Thank you, DoubleTree by Hilton, for such a wonderful stay ☺️

Lovely stay once again. This was our fourth visit, and we keep coming back because of the convenient location, the calm and peaceful environment, and the beautiful connection with nature. The rooms are luxurious and impeccably clean, the food is excellent, and most importantly, every single member of the staff is truly wonderful. A special mention to Imesh from the restaurant, who personally attended to us during all our meals. He made sure we never had to wait at the buffet, engaged us in friendly conversations, and ensured we felt genuinely welcomed and well cared for throughout our stay. As it was my birthday, the room was beautifully decorated, and the restaurant staff surprised me with a lovely cake, which made the occasion extra special. At checkout, Jayan kindly offered us a buggy ride and a tour of the property, sharing insights about the trees, local history, and the neighbourhood. The staff are truly exceptional, and this place continues to feel like a home away from home. We will definitely be coming back soon.

An Unforgettable Stay at DoubleTree by Hilton! Our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton was absolutely fantastic. The property is beautiful, lush, and expansive, surrounded by greenery that instantly gives a peaceful and refreshing vibe. The entire place feels like a nature retreat combined with luxury. The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making it perfect for relaxation. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious food every meal was flavorful, well-presented, and truly enjoyable. The swimming pool was stunning and added so much charm to the property. What made the experience even more special was the chance to see small monitor lizards, chameleons, and beautiful birds, with their soothing chirping creating a magical natural atmosphere around the resort. Above all, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect blend of luxury, nature, comfort, and amazing service. We would love to visit again! 🌿

It was a really nice experience at the hotel. The staff were very humble and welcoming from the moment we arrived until we left. The pool was spacious with beautiful surroundings, and the kids also had a lovely time in the play area. All three meal buffets offered a great variety of cuisines. They even provided EV charging facilities. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. The only downside is that the hotel room building is L-shaped, so if your room is in the middle, you have to walk quite a bit to reach the stairs or the elevator.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Weerawila in Dez. 2025 Rooms: Very beautiful and exceptionally well equipped. Pool: One of the most beautiful pools I’ve ever experienced – large, perfect for swimming, very clean, and surrounded by trees full of stunning birds. Food: Excellent and absolutely worth the price. Truly outstanding quality. For the pool snacks, I would appreciate a slightly wider selection. Staff: Outstanding in every respect – professional, attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Special praise goes to the reception team, housekeeping, pool staff, restaurant and bar staff, the kitchen crew, and security. I would love to mention everyone by name, but that would exceed the character limit of this review. Location & grounds: The lakeside location is fantastic, the property is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and idyllic. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. A few points for improvement: • Lawn mowing every single day for over two hours during our 10-day stay felt excessive. Investing in more efficient equipment might help reduce noise. • The beds were comfortable, but noticeably firmer than typical Hilton beds, which are usually softer. • I noticed that the same staff members were serving breakfast and dinner, including evening events. While everyone remained exemplary and professional and never mentioned anything, given that we attended some events until late at night, it seems unlikely that sufficient rest periods were possible. This raises concerns about work conditions and compliance with rest times, that I would expect from the ethical standards of a global brand like Hilton.

I had an amazing experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Weerawila Rajawarna Resort. From the moment I arrived, everything felt premium, peaceful and incredibly well-managed. The property is beautiful, the rooms are spotless, and the overall atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing getaway. A special mention goes to Manjula at the restaurant on the first floor — he was outstanding. Every time we dined there, he went above and beyond to look after us. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine kindness made our meals even more enjoyable. Staff like him truly elevate the hotel experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the area. Excellent service, great food, and beautiful surroundings. I would definitely stay here again!
