We had some trouble when on the way to the hotel. Almost couldn’t make it but luckily we still had chance to stay there. For hotel itself, the location works best for who have cars. The parking fee kind of expensive without any other choices, however, the VIEWS, are amazing, especially the rooftop bar. VIEW CHARLES RIVER The room is wonderful and worth the price. We are upgraded to river view, so the view is even better. And the room is enough big, def good and known as SUITE. And since the hotel has the shuttle service, it is easier to get to the city without too many concerns. We used it to Copley Square. Will def stay here again and highly recommended.

Doubletree Cambridge was a great stay. We had a 4 night stay for a 4th of July trip. Staff was amazing and the shuttle was a great amenity. The driver Albasan warmly welcomed us on and off the shuttle daily and genuinely seemed to care about our travel! Sammy was our room attendant and she was amazing as well. Front staff went above and beyond for everyone we experienced them even engage in CPR. Can’t say enough about our stay. 5*! Great views of the river as well and very clean hotel.

Stayed 4 nights, we had a large, very clean suite with a huge bed, seating area, great shower & in room safe deposit box. The staff were very helpful, there's a nice indoor pool & jacuzzi, also a nice bar, we didn't use the restaurant. There is a roof top bar area which was closed as the weather was very poor during our stay. The hotel is well outside the city center but runs a free shuttle to Copely Sq, the Aquarium & Harvard sq, which is very useful. On 2 mornings the shuttle was not running so reception called us a complimentary uber, which we appreciated. There is also a nice walking/cycling path along the river close to the hotel.

Got a balcony view room for the 4th of July nice view however make sure you pick room with firework views. I was in room 1612 on opposite side of viewing area. You can go outside on parking garage to get a good view or book rooftop bar. Front desk employees were very pleasant and gave me free parking due to lack of fireworks view. Be sure when picking room to check hotel room layout. I stayed here many times always a good experience first time in balcony room. Of course the doubletree cookies are not to be missed. We were greeted Ranalda the HGV she offered us a 4 day 3night stay at any Hilton resort we declined but she was very pleasant and did not try to force us into anything. We always enjoy are time here it’s close to Boston center by car or Lyft and Uber.

Google
this hotel is built super old-fashioned with an hole in the center of the building and the rooms around it. the elevators were super cool since you could look down into the lobby from the top! bonus: they give you one walnut cookie per person checking in! they tasted amazing!

We stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed our time. Clean rooms with good service and several amenities on the hotel property. Room service, snack shop, full bar, and a jazz club are all on site. Parking is a bit expensive, but easy access to the highway and a secure garage. Fairly quiet around the area and we felt safe. Rooms are nice, especially with the separate living room area. Two TVs, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, ironing board, and a safe are included in the room. Shower is average, but bathroom was very clean on arrival. Staff was helpful and polite. Pizza delivery was able to come right to the room. Would recommend!

Google
The room was clean and comfortable. It's the small details that make the difference. A steamy shower turned on the smoke detector every day. The master switch was missing by the bed and by the door so I had to get up and switch off each lamp one by one. The pool is very shallow, warm and not really clean - not suitable for morning practice.

We had a lovely suite overlooking the Charles River. Nice rooftop sitting area with beautiful views. The bed was super comfortable and I had an excellent night sleep. The location was walkable to Harvard and Harvard Square, but not much more. The room was pretty pricey and the parking fee was the highest that my well traveled husband said that he has ever paid.

Yelp
Good experience! The staff was friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel bar was great with a lot of choices. The food from the restaurant was average - nothing spectacular. The hotel gym was well equipped. It even had four Peloton bikes! There's a great walking/jogging trail just across the street, too! The only slight challenge was that the walls were thin. I could hear traffic all night from the 15th floor. If you're used to big city living, it's nothing different from that, so you'll probably be ok. All in all, I'll be back!

Yelp
So so happy we chose this hotel! For so many reasons: 1) My flight was delayed so I arrived around 2:30am. I called from the airport because my friend was already checked in and I needed a key. No problem, was waiting for me when I arrived. 2) The free shuttle--goes to Copley Square, Harvard Square, and the Aquarium. Drivers are super friendly. My friend and I took to calling it the "cookie bus" because it's decorated with a giant cookie. 3) IMPOSSIBLE SAUSAGE AT THE BREAKFAST BUFFET!!! This is the first time I've seen this. Please don't ever stop. 4) Great pool hours--6am to 11pm 5) Rooftop with stunning views and fun events like trivia 6) Decorated with multiple terrariums

Yelp
We went for a menu tasting for a friend's wedding. The event team, including the planner, the server, and the chefs were so amazing. They made it such a special experience for the couple. The food is truly cooked with care and delicacy. Every course was more delicious than the last. The mushroom ravioli was really the most amazing. This is a great place to host an event. Not to mention the beautiful view of the river and the city.

Yelp
There were several issues with this property. For the first thing the receptionist charged our card immediately instead of at the end of our stay, we then were unable to use our Debit Card and came up short at our dinner out. When we brought it to her attention she did not apologize or compensate us in any way. Not even admitting her mistake however our money magically reappeared in our account the next day.We left our luggage at reception while attending our son's graduation and several things were then missing after we picked it up, including my husband's dirty laundry, go figure. We called to see if we'd left it in the room but they denied that we had. We absolutely know someone took the items as we'd inspected every inch of the room before we left. Not to mention the room service costs were ridiculously high for mediocre food. We would not recommend anyone stay here and now understand why the price was so good. It's not near the T Train or any other public transportation and is situated next to a chemical factory. Need I say more?

Yelp
We're still here at our stay and I was inspired to write a review cause the people that work here have been PHENOMENAL!! Every server, front desk, even someone from corporate, were all the kindest people. Went out of their way to make our stay amazing! Thanks guys. For sure will stay here again

Yelp
Stayed here for 2 nights on a road trip. The AC was mad loud at night we ended up turning it off completely. Parking is $47 a night, kinda pricey. Pool's nice with a hot tub. Good when it's empty. Bed is comfy and view out the window was quite nice. Ask for their cookies when you check in!

Lisa B.

Yelp
I absolutely love DoubleTree's divided rooms. Having a separate bedroom and living room is wonderful. My husband goes to bed much earlier than me. I hang out in the living room until I'm ready to go to bed. Did I mention the clean rooms?

Yelp
This hotel is in an immaculate location of cambridge/boston area. There's not at alllll heavy traffic, and there is access to alot of different food places. I would say this is a nice scenic quiet part of the city. The parking here is NOT free though. Its $47 for overnight, but you can come and go as you please. The pool room is a little tiny, but it serves its purpose and oh yeah the pool and hot tub are salt water just a heads up! I love how double tree always gives us cookies and water and the staff is so nice and friendly. Unfortunately the rooftop is seasonal access, so if your going in late fall or winter, you won't b able to get up on the roof lol. Super cleannn too , deff recommend for a peaceful retreat!

Yelp
The hotel has a restaurant/ bar named fusion. Everything was fine until a group of older men came and were upset that my party and I were sitting right infront of the tv, while the game was on. He said to the same waitress I had "oh don't serve that table" mind you these are grown men acting like this over a table. The bar did nothing about his actions. They just let it slide, I even heard the waitress laugh. It made me extremely uncomfortable bc how is where I'm sitting bothering you. When I'm trying to have a good time as well. They don't take care of their guests even when you tip them well.

Yelp
I absolutely love this hotel in Boston. Staff are extremely helpful, and rooms and amenities are kept pristine. The food served in the restaurant is excellent, and we grabbed several pizzas from there throughout our stay. Next to the check in area, there is a great place for cold food and snacks as well as a professional coffee machine. Hilton diamond members get $18 credits per person per day for up to two people. This means you are able to use your credit on any snacks or restaurant food. I really like that they have an indoor pool which is excellent and a pretty good size. They have four elevators that are really fast, and the close and open door buttons are extremely responsive. The elevators have glass windows pointing inwards so that you could see the entire hotel as you go up and down. One of the best parts is that they have a free shuttle bus every hour that will take you to certain locations. This is excellent if you need to be dropped off near the Harvard area and I don't want to deal with finding an Uber or Lyft. Overall, this was a great hotel and a great experience and I would stay here again.

Yelp
I went here for drinks at the rooftop bar of this hotel- Over the Charles. The rooftop view was great, but the drinks were so overpriced and did not taste good.

Yelp
This nasty hotel canceled our two night reservations, simply because we where late to check in... but why cancel both nights. NEVER GOING TO USE ANOTHER PIECE OF CRAP HILTON!!! You've lost a long running customer.

Yelp
I'm leaving a 2 start review not because of the hotel overall. I'm leaving the low stars because of the front desk women Jophia. I was charged a smoking fee when I never smoked in the room nor do I even smoke. While speaking with Jophia she was very rude. Kept making very rude comments and was acting like a manager. When I called the one front desk gentleman told me he going to get his manager. So when Jophia took the line I assumed she was a manager. I was taken back that such a rude person could have that postion. After she kept disregarding what I was saying I asked for her name and that when I find out she is not a manager. I asked her why would she be on the call when I asked for a manager. She replied that her manager going to say the same thing. I told her can she please get her manager and she still gave me excuses that he was on break at 2:30 pm when the other gentleman just told me that he informed the manager and he is coming. She lied!! After I told her that I will get my lawyer involved she then got her manager on the phone, and of corse with the comment that her manager going to back her up. Her manager got on the phone , I can admittly see why he was a manager. He took the time to listen and told me he understands and help me get my money back. All of it. He understood that I didn't smoke in that room and that he can sell the room that day. He was very good and made me feel like a vaule customer. Jophia on the other hand lied and said they had to bring in a industrial cleaning and all these other lies. She needs to be trained on customer service very bad. She also should be told when someone request a manger that she not make comment like "my manager just gonna back me up." Why would he be in that postion or even have that postion if that was the case. Clearly again I see why she does not hold that postion and I beg that before even considering her for a higher postion that she be trained. Jophia shame on you for not helping a vaule customer. Shame on you for lieing a and being stright rude. I hope you learned your lesson that your manager is not going to back up unfair and rude practices. Stay in your lane!!!!

Yelp
This is the best DoubleTree location in Boston. It's located right above the Charles River and you get a fantastic view of the city! Not to mention, their King suites are incredibly large, comfy, and have a sectioned-off living room. Also their warm chocolate chip cookies are a nice cherry on top! However, parking in this location should be free. There's no easily accessible bus or subway stop, but the cost for 1 day parking is nearly $50.

Yelp
This place was beyond disappointing. We booked this hotel for $500, for ONE night for my siblings birthday. We specifically chose this hotel because it has a hot tub, but upon arrival, it was disappointing to find out the "jets did not work" and it was lukewarm which is a health hazard. I could sit in a warm bathtub and call it the same thing. We got back to the hotel around 9;45 from dinner and decided to not go to the pool, as the website said it closed at 10pm. We walked around at 10:30ish and found out the pool is actually open until 11pm. Too late for us to swim. Horrible miscommunication on their end. Secondly, they ran out of complimentary cookies, not the end of the world, but still disappointing! Also, house keeping knocked and opened the door AT THE SAME TIME. My mother was changing in that room and the housekeeping totally barged in and invaded our privacy, extremely unprofessional and violating. Lastly, their website claims that they have "continental breakfast", but when me and my family went downstairs to find it, we were informed they did not have it, BUT they have a restaurant that is not included that we could buy breakfast from there, when we already paid $500 for one night. The TV kept losing signal, channels were awful. We had to spend $47 on overnight parking after all the money we already paid to stay there. This entire experience was beyond upsetting, especially for my sibling on their birthday. We will not be returning, and I urge you to carefully consider another hotel before booking here. Staff is rude and unhelpful.

Yelp
The Doubletree Suites Cambridge is a gorgeous conference hotel overlooking the Charles River. I did not stay overnight, but I am a Diamond and asked for concierge service which they obliged. The Hilton property I stayed in while visiting Boston was by Gillette, a 30 minute drive minimum. I had no car and needed to stow a bag for the day while touring Cambridge. The manager at Home 2 Suites graciously contacted them on my behalf. They agreed to help. When arriving at the property the concierge desk knew my situation and provided a claim ticket. They were professional and smiled. They also offered to shuttle us into Harvard Square area. We opted to walk the two miles along the scenic Charles on a sunny day. The lobby is clean and presents nicely. They have a nice area to watch on a large flat screen in comfy chairs. Only drawback was no plug ins to charge our phones. The property is probably 30+ stories high. After returning four hours later my daughter and I were hungry and needed to hang out for another 45 minutes prior to departure to the airport. We went to the lobby store and the nearby desk agent provided us two bottle waters and two cookies. Wow! This was so appreciated and my daughter had already mumbled a few times we should have stayed here. This is a nice property with friendly attentive staff. I cannot comment on the rooms. But based on what I experienced this would be an option for me in the future.

Yelp
This is your best option in Cambridge by far! This is an EXCELLENT hotel. I have stayed here for several years now and the other hotels are really lacking by comparison. The rooms are nice, like really nice - no holes, no stains, no dirt. It feels high-end and luxurious. The management is wonderful and the staffing reflects this. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Yelp
It is not easy to write this review, but I warn you not to stay at Hilton unless they reform their reservation and billing business practices. Hilton admitted charging me the standard hotel room amount while ignoring both my alumni discount and my Hilton Honors discount. Hilton's manager admitted they overcharged me but stated I must contact the national office. When I contacted the national office they said there's nothing they can do and I need to go to the hotel. A runaround with the knowing result, I was lied to without a remedy. This is to me a misrepresentation and may well be even criminal misconduct. You can't lie to a hotel customer, overcharge that customer, admit you overcharged that customer, yet actively prevent hotel charge adjustment, without possibly breaking the law. Yet, that is exactly what Hilton is doing. I am simply stunned at the determined refusal of otherwise intelligent hotel managers and national representatives, to do the right thing. Worse still, someone named "Alma" from the national office appears to have falsely claimed to be in senior management. I have complained to the university I graduated from, to the hotel and to Hilton about this frankly terrible experience. One very nice person is going to try to speak to her managers about this, but otherwise I've been told I was lied to but have no remedy. I hope Hilton will address this misconduct, but until they do so, I would urge not staying at Hilton. Please--Stay at more honest places.

Yelp
I had the best stay at this hotel. I enjoyed it from check in to check out. When I arrived Cheryl greeted me and handed me a surprising gift bag with a stainless steel coffee tumbler inside! I was so surprised! Thanks for that. That tumbler allowed for me to get free coffee and tea while I was there. Which came in handy when my sinuses started to get the best of me. My suite on the 5th floor was massive! I had a perfect view of the Charles River, which was walking distance from the hotel. The let out couch/sofa was a beautiful grey and the large work space was perfect. There was a refrigerator and a microwave which was a score. A safe, a coffee maker, and the bathroom had essential toiletries. The bed was so comfortable and kept me warm since it was pretty cold while I was there. No free breakfast but they did have a restaurant that served a buffet breakfast. I dined at the Fusion Lounge and enjoyed my meal and cocktail. They also have a shuttle that takes you around town, I used it to go to Harvard Square which was the reason I was in Boston, Harvard. I'd stay here again for sure!

Yelp
This was a fantastic experience. From the moment I checked in I was treated amazingly. I got my water and cookies (sometimes it's the simple things). The room was clean and the views were incredible. It was fun watching the shells practice running the river. The rooms were also spacious and quiet. The front desk team checked in with me daily to make sure I was all good. Even the cleaning crew was friendly and helpful. A huge thanks to all of them for the extra mile they went to make every guest feel like a VIP. If you need anything extra there is a mini-store next to the front desk. 24/7 you can get whatever you need. I can only home I will get back to Cambridge again in the future. This is where I will be staying. The hotel is fantastic, but the staff make it amazing!

Marie F.

Yelp
They advertise a Jazz Club restaurant, yet it hasn't been open in years. They say it will open in September. I chose this hotel over others closer or in the city because it looked like it would be a better experience. Only there was no experience.

Emily L.

Yelp
This was actually my first time at a double tree and I'm not going to lie, it's made me rethink my Marriott loyalty because they were so lovely. I ended up coming on a work trip and got Covid, the team brought up masks, made sure I was comfortable, and bottled waters. Huge shout out to Ben (the front manager) and Sophia!

Yelp
We loved the playful theme for this hotel which carried tastefully across the rooms and foyer. The location also was on point and sits close to many bars and restaurants but the service experience was not great. The personalities of the employees who seemed to want to be anywhere but working at this hotel didn't jive with the funky colorful pineapple brand. We tried to extend our room but given a crazy rate by the front desk. We were told to go book on line then re check in. Also the room service was bad. Inedible bad. You also get stung with a few hidden fees like $30 a day for coffee and water. Finally the king rooms have these 2 European style twin duvet covers so you have your own so to speak but it was bad. I'm European and never would opt for this. So on balance. Good budget hotel but eat out and don't expect good service. Shame because the design is great.

Yelp
We stayed here because of the proximity to Harvard campus. Not walking distance but a good1.5 - 2 mile jaunt. Harvard square would have been more desirable however it increases the price by sometimes double so this is better option so long as you keep your daily transportation to & from campus to a minimum. We Also wanted a change from the Marriott properties to whom we'd been faithful customers. Let me first say the property was clean, attractive, and with an on-site restaurants (3) and snack shop. All these are EXPENSIVE. A yogurt parfait is $10. Breakfast brunch buffet ran $28 per person. My a la cart oatmeal with some fixings ran around $15. I think. But this is the price of convenience right? And metro Boston area. I will say the rooftop restaurant is beautiful especially in the evening. It offers Breathtaking views from outdoors top floor perch. Sadly the breakfast restaurant was woefully understaffed so wait times we're long both times we went. I could see the strain in the waitress's face though she was friendly and helpful. All hotel staff were very friendly and I suspect over worked. There is a cool way to formally recognize staff by scanning QR code you'll see in elevator & other places. We did that a few times in hopes stage get real recognition for their hard work. Housekeeping had resumed but we opted for the green option a few times to skip daily cleaning since were not a messy bunch. Common spaces are spacious and nicely decorated with lots of sitting area. We did request soap and towels in between to stay stocked in these items. We signed up for the loyalty program ahead of time. It takes several nights ' stays to accumulate rewards but I figure we'd get there if we're making return trips. Overall I'd say worth they stay if you can handle the price. There is a difference but not a huge jump in quality from the 3 star Marriott property with free breakfast.

Yelp
The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Boston - Cambridge is a wonderful hotel with a caring staff. The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms are spacious and clean. I travel a lot for work and can honestly say this was my best experience yet!

Dave T.

Yelp
Big and comfortable rooms. Great location, clean, and professional staff. Sophia at check-in should be employee of the year!!! Definitely stay there again. Cookies are great. Business or pleasure, this is the place.

Christopher M.

Yelp
Just great, unless you object to staying directly NEXT to a chemical plant which produces some pretty dangerous stuff. https://www.houghton.com/ Hotel is great (on the other side you have the beautiful Charles River), but chemical plant shouldn't be there, in a densely populated area.

Shannon B.

Yelp
the room looks nothing like the website. the website said the hotel bar was open until midnight but we were informed it's only open if there's a show which was NOT mentioned on the website. For the price I am extremely disappointed.
google avatar

CJ A.

Yelp
We are 25+ year Hilton Honors members. Lots of personal + business travel. Relevant because even we were shocked to be charged $47/night to park at this hotel, on a room rate of only $124. The hotel is not near anything walkable, so it's obvious they use the fact nearly everyone will have a car to boost the overall price of a stay. But there's a word for when parking cost 40% of the hotel room rate: GOUGING.
google avatar

Kristen C.

Yelp
We've stayed her a few times and it hasn't disappointed. This last time, we were able to get a room when we came up for Head of the Charles. 1) we were tired and hungry when we got there and it seemed overwhelming to take their free shuttle into Cambridge and then try to find a restaurant (I know - my problem...). So I figured we'd bite the bullet and pay hotel restaurant rates and eat in their pub. Well, we were conveniently surprised with the reasonable prices! The place was packed, but the service was good! Food was really good as well. 2) I was also pleasantly surprised that we had an amazing view of the Charles River and we could even see the boats racing in the morning! (had I known how cold it would be all day, I would have stayed in the room to watch for our kid's boat go by!) 3) I was doubly surprised when I went down to their dining room for breakfast in the morning - we had the same amazing view of the boats while we ate! Thank you, DoubleTree! We'll be back!

Yelp
If I could leave no stars I would. This hotel is run by a bunch of crooks--my fiancé got charged $300 for "damages" that he was not responsible for. When we called to ask them about it, they agreed they made an error but only refunded half of the charges. Spent most of our day in Boston contacting the bank. Coincidentally we were able to talk the bank manager (who was traveling to Boston to train the new staff people) out of her reservation. Her and the whole travel team she was with--karma much?

Matt W.

Yelp
Would leave 0 stars if I could DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!!! My room was constantly cold, even when I turned the heat on. I was offered 2 "complimentary" cookies I refused because they had nuts but they insisted and said they're free. Well They weren't because when I checked the bill I was charged for 2 pastries. That was only the beginning of the fuckery. She then tells me I have to make a security deposit that I would receive back the moment I checked out. Well it's been 8 days and the "accounting manager" won't return my calls. Whenever I do call the they tell me the manager is on "break" and I get sent to voicemail. These incompetent and thieving fools will be hearing from everyday until I get my money back. Absolutely pathetic the lengths they are going to not issue a refund. Completely unprofessional shitshow

Yelp
Sorry, nothing exc6itong to write, but a good suggestion with cocktails. The Cutting Board ... Four meats, two are quite interesting for a board presentation ... Pulled pork pate, chorizo and the obvious prosciutto and salami. Two cheeses, blue chunk and a hard goat chunk...either for a Brie ir a creamy cheese. Grain mustard. ..citrus olive mixture and salted, toasted crostini Nice board... enough to share or for tomorrow. .. in my case, tomorrow!

Yelp
7 people in front of me for check in at 3:25pm. Waited more than 30 minutes to check in. Only 2 people doing check in. May have been a fluke, and a rush of people came in. Check in time is normally 3pm, but my room wasn't ready when I finished checking in at 3:55. Don't know if it was due to an upgrade of rooms or just miscommunication between staff

Diana L.

Yelp
Unfortunately the front desk feels that the drunk, loud, obnoxious people at the bar are a priority over the people who are trying to sleep. Bottomline- don't stay here if you have to wake up early. Great place of you want to get drunk though- It's now 11:16pm and it feels like we're staying in the middle of a dive bar!

M L.

Yelp
Hot tub is broken and ice cold. Staff informed me that it has been broken for some time. This means that it was broken when I made my reservation two days prior and specifically asked about the hot tub. Also, $47 to park? Why not just charge more for the rooms? That's embarrassing. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable.

Yelp
I'm here again for business and I still love it. I love the professionalism & courtesy of the front desk, the room service waiter.... Everyone. Excellent service is what you will find at this hotel. As, 'Up in the Air' as it seems, there nothing like going to a hotel and them acknowledging your status and the fact that you are a return guest. I (unfortunately) spend my life on the road and it's friendly and comforting to be recognized in that manner. This hotel is the hotel that will do that. I learned from my trip that not only does the concierge beatbox & the bellman table drum, but there's a dancer here too. Nothing like going to a place where everyone is uber friendly, professional AND talented! I haven't seen "the dancer" yet but I will be on the lookout. These types of things are what I live for! (Especially when they think no one is looking)... Oh I'm looking, I'm taking notes, I'm loving it and I'm trying to mimic your skills when I get home! The room: this time I booked a double twin bed room (it's all they had left). I didn't fall off the bed so, I'm not complaining. What I did learn is: the TV in the living room is not on a rotating arm. So you cannot watch TV and eat at the table unless you move the table. Don't be like me, I almost ripped the TV off the ding dang wall assuming it extended & rotated. Well, it doesn't. It does NOT. No, no. It will not move no matter what superhuman strength you claim to have. So don't do it. You'll sprain your wrist or break a hip trying. Soooo not worth it. I know it doesn't make sense that it's stationary, but it is what it is. Just move the table. In the end, something can be moved and no one gets hurt. Although the Hilton Back Bay is my fav hotel in the area, this hotel is a very close second. And as far as being personable in their customer service, this hotel far surmounts all the hotels in all the cities that I visit. And unlike the Hilton Back Bay, the rates of this hotel consistently meet my company policy.

Yelp
Complimentary warm cookies at check-in; free shuttle to Harvard Yard; breathtaking view of the Charles River; amazing location, close to both Cambridge & points of interest in Boston; a massive, comfortable bed that we just loved to fall into after a couple long days, plus a spacious living room; and complimentary luscious chocolate-covered strawberries to celebrate a special occasion. Not near the T, but catching a ride share to where we needed to go was cheap enough. Would consider myself lucky to stay here again!

Yelp
Camillo was absolutely incredible helping me with everything I needed and stayed with me until my taxi arrived. Will definitely stay there again

Yelp
Checked in the room, found the bed has some kind of untidiness due to something. One of the towels was used and left next to the sink, garbage bin has junk with a VIP note in it. It looks like cleaning was done but someone still used it briefly. Went down and b*t^hed... 2 hours later, service woman walked in with a key and did not knocked! I was talking to my wife and she asked who the hack was in your room... They gave me two breakfast tickets free. On the 15th floor, I could hear the music on the roof, hey if you feel like party that is perfect! The end..

Yelp
Hilton gets it right. I'm quite impressed with the efficiency of this hotel and Hilton in general. Check in was super smooth. Being a Hilton Honors member, I also got a little welcome bag with the most delicious and warmest cookie I've ever had. Whew. What I love about this hotel is its convenience. I stayed here for business and it's near literally all the major areas. About a 10 min walk from Harvard, few minutes drive to Boston college, and not too far from where I was doing business. The Hilton app is a plus - the digital key and ability to message the hotel was super convenient. Though at times overwhelming, I appreciated the fact that the staff constantly text and messaged me via the app to check on my stay. The staff is super friendly and beyond helpful. The fitness center was well kept and just what I needed to release some stress. The only downside to my stay was the parking situation. Paying for parking is always a pain. This parking lot is rather small and trying to exit the lot and hotel is a bit of a hassle. However, it wasn't enough for me to give this hotel less than 5 stars. It would be great if parking was free for all honors members. That would be a gem. Bravo, Hilton! Thanks for pleasant stay!

Yelp
Highway robbery stay away. If you stay six nights you pay a extra $600 and they don't take cash any longer. I wonder who's bright idea was this? This is not helping the community or the pandemic is helping the workers in the hotel. One person would tell me something and I will speak to someone different and everyone would something completely different. The person that was supposed to be helping me has gone left for the day. They charge me $100 payment that I did not authorize them to do. Do yourself a favor drive down the street around the corner and find a hotel at it's willing and ready and available to help you because at the end of the day it is hospitality you will not get that here. For me is definitely time to start looking elsewhere. There's hotels out there for $55 why am I here? Because about two weeks ago they were willing to help you I don't know what happened in 2 weeks but things have changed drastically. They would take cash as incidentals and not just go in your credit card and take $100 unauthorized. this is my second night here $400 is already missing out of my account just so you can understand where I'm coming from. So let's do some math you're out of town you stay in at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Allston Mass for 15 days add an additional 1500 because for each day they take $100 out of your form of payment and unauthorized they will not ask you to take this payment once you look at your account it will just be deducted. Now you tell me is there anything worth that? I mean this is not the Taj Mahal or anything close to it. Not even worth it trust me.

Yelp
We've stayed at this DoubleTree Suites many times over the past 10 or 15 years. For us, it has a good but a little strange location in Boston (technically it's in Allston) just across the river from Cambridge. Except in peak traffic times, it's only a $6 Uber ride from Harvard Square and maybe $10 to $12 to downtown Boston. The disadvantage of the location, at the end of the Mass Pike (I-80) is that Uber drivers don't know exactly how to get into or out of the hotel, and even some taxi drivers have problems. We stayed here again in early December 2016, two nights on an award stay (at 40K points -- a little overpriced for the off-season) and two nights paid, $125 a night plus taxes and parking, a deal except for the parking. Speaking of parking: Used to be be, elite Hilton members got a by on paying for parking. No more. We had to pay $35 a night, and we probably used our car one time in five days. The rest of the time we took Uber or the hotel's free shuttle to Cambridge. Avoid bringing your car here if you can. There are lots of things to like about this property, and some not to like. We like the included continental breakfast (for Gold and Diamond Hilton Honors members). We like the location. We like the friendly staff. We like the elevators -- there are five, and there's never a wait. The jazz club here is Boston's best. What we don't like are the TVs. They are ancient (1990s vintage?) Phillips small-screen TVs. There are only a few cable/sat channels, and none of our favorites such as Turner Classic Movies or the Hallmark channels. The hotel is getting a bit run down. Happily, they are renovating it. When we were there in December 2016, the top three floors were closed for renovation. Hopefully they'll raise the bar on all the rooms, including the TVs.

Yelp
Awful place to stay I would suggest finding a better hotel to stay at the the staff wasn't great they have fleas (I wasn't the only one complaining about fleas on the 12th floor) I needed house keeping and litterly had to ask them 5 times to send someone up I even left to make sure I would be out of there way and when I returned everything was the same and nothing was cleaned up the pool and hot tub was extremely dirty and the food is to expensive for poor quality I don't even want to give them one star

Yelp
A nice hotel. I got a really good deal on this hotel so I decided to stay here. What really drew me to it was the shuttle and Murphy bed option. I was happy to have my "own" space. This is basically an Embassy Suites without the amenities of an Embassy (no free happy hour or breakfast). We arrived Thursday around 1pm and was promptly checked in. I was very unsure of the shuttle option. I figured it would just run when there were people there. I didn't realize it would be on a schedule. That was kind of a bummer, just given how spaced how the times were. We ubered to Harvard Square after checking in. I was hoping it would be walkable (it said a mile) but it was really, really cold, so it wasn't doable. We then had the shuttle schedule and promptly went to the meeting point for the shuttle on the way back. 10 minutes had past and the bus never showed. The man I spoke to on the phone was rude and told us to take an Uber. Luckily the front desk manager apologized for his behavior and offered us a refund for the Uber ride. That was really the only hiccup. I really liked the gym. Super modern and clean. Everything else was fine. The walls are a little thin, mostly the front wall by the door. Staff was nice. Restaurant is ridiculously overpriced. Was not impressed with breakfast. Overall though, I really enjoyed my stay. I probably wouldn't stay here again as it was a bit further away from everything then I thought and there is not much other than a Dunkin' Donuts and Whole Foods that is walkable.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible experience, homeless people in lobby, fire alarms going off at night, rude staff, terrible food, I could go on and on, Wait times for someone to answer the phone 45 minutes. Do NOT stay here!

Yelp
Stay was great. Good views, clean rooms and close to everything you need. Staff isn't that friendly. And breakfast A row 400 "I think was the name" was expensive. 17$ for a breakfast sandwich. Yea it's the city but seriously. Food was good I'll admit.

Yelp
Comfy and clean! Welcoming decorated lobby (for Xmas), free water bottles and cookies upon checkin, spacious gym with water fountain, pool and hot tub (haven't seen it) and hot cocoa with marshmallows in the lobby! What more could you ask for. If going for a Harvard conference- it's an easy answer. Shuttle to Copley place and Harvard square every hour (on the :30). Interior is similar to an embassy suites layout where the rooms open up to the middle of the hotel, but def cleaner than embassy. Would stay here again due to its convenience. Trader Joe's and whole food are walking distance away too.

Yelp
This is an excellent hotel for Hilton Honors members. I spend plenty of time at DoubleTree hotels on work travel because of the reasonable price, but I was blown away with the quality of this location. The room was huge, with comfortable furniture and a great view. The staff was also on top of everything. You can knock this location for not having many options for room service, but again, this is a DoubleTree. This was my favorite hotel out of my 8 stays as a HH member.
