Bachelorette party win !!! The staff made our bride feel so special and went out of their way to make sure we were all safe and having a great time. Seriously the best ever. Recommending this place to everyone.

The Downstairs staff were incredible to work with! We did the charcuterie for an exotic car club meetup there recently and they were so awesome and helpful! They were very communicative, friendly, professional and made sure we felt supported as vendors! Thank you! We look forward to working with you again!

Great place to go out at night when your in Park City. Have been going there for years and conveniently located on Main in Old Town. Opens around 830 but gets pretty packed around 1030 or so depending on the night. Drinks are reasonably priced. Fun night out......oh and its locally owned and operated.

Girl Bathrooms had Men Urinals !!!! Terrible experience! Why would you ever have Men Urinals in a Female Bathroom at a NIGHTCLUB???? Worst Idea ever! The Open format Dj was struggling. More Dance Music and No MEN in our bathroom would make the experience much better. Small changes... to a great outcome.. Consider :)

I was very disappointed in the way the group I was with were treated. a group of 9 girls went for a bachelorette party on 10/14/2017. on our way to the club we were stopped by 2 separate parties warning us not to go. They said the service was terrible. We wanted to find out for ourselves. After getting in and each getting a drink, we inquired about one of the many empty tables. it was 11:22 pm. The bartender refused to get us a table and would not confirm or deny if any were reserved. then would not take our orders. we then left and on the way out we had mentioned to the "door men" what had happened. We received no apology and were told this bar has been the A-list bar for the past 4 years. We asked if it was true then why were there 9 empty tables, the dance floor scarce, and the awful service? They only said go somewhere else and see if its better. There were 3 "door men" outside which all of them said similar if not the same thing. They were also cocky with terrible attitudes. 3 of the 9 of us (including myself) were servers at a club in salt lake for many years, we know what service should be like and how you should present your work place. We went to Rock & Rileys which was 100% better, then ended our night at the Cabin which was even better.

It's the small club that brings Park City all the good and bad of any big city night club. This night had a $10 cover. The staff can be a bit angry or aggressive, keeping the felt partitioned sections empty, if no one paid for table service. It really does have a club attitude. Other than that, the DJ plays and the people dance and buy bigger ticketed drinks.

When we first arrived it was quick to enter and no hassle. This place was extremely crowded. Tons of people to mingle with. Unfortunately it was just difficult to order a drink - my husband and I showed up late to meet some friends. We stayed for about 5 minutes. When we left we let the security manager know it was a fun scene just too busy for our taste. He explained depending on the night they do get packed - which is good if that's what you like. Really great guy. All the staff were beyond nice and they even returned our walk-in fee because we didn't decide to stay. We will definitely be returning - the staff won us over.

Had a really fun time here this past weekend. DJ Juggy was good, our server and the staff were nice. Lots of people having fun and dancing. There were about 12 ladies in my group and we were glad we got a table. Just make sure you budget right if you decide to go that route. We liked going to No Name, the Cabin, and ended our night here. Super fun!

I was in Park City for a bachelorette party last weekend and Downstairs was the spot to go for a little after dinner dancing. A few of the girls had organized a table, so when we arrived around 11pm, we were quickly ushered inside to reserved area. The staff at the club was great. There were a ton of bachelor parties going on and the guys kept coming by our table, but the bouncers were quick to guard our area. The waitress was on top of the bottle service, pouring champagne and vodka cocktails. They have to keep the vodka locked up at the table and only the waitress was able to poor it. Welcome to Utah! The music was not great and when I went over to the DJ to make a request, he kind of rolled his eyes and was not the friendliest. But other than the music, we had a great experience.

The owner made the best investment of his life when he hired Asia and Becca! They are the best bartenders in town! Love the vibe and energy these girls put out! Makes me want to come back and spennend every dollar I have time and time again!!!!

I came here for the aprés elevation gay ski and asked the 10 year old bartender for an apple martini and he gave me an apple vodka shot in a martini glass. There's no food! Waste of time. This place is trash I don't recommend at all.

Terrible esbtablishment that thinks too highly of themselves. Security likes to cause a scene with paying customers. Charging covers for men is one thing, but being disrespectful is another thing. Please reconsider spending your time and money here.

A few of my friends and I were visiting Park City for three days for our yearly boarding trip. On Saturday night, 4th of March, (our last night in town) a few of our friends wanted us to meet over at "Downstairs" Searched the spot online, "8AM - 2AM" Left No Name at about 12:45 to meet. Upon arrival, the bouncer says "we're done for the night." I asked why they said they were open till 2 online and he responded with "we are, but we stop taking people an hour before." Confused, I present the current time (12:50) which he aggressively responds, "Are you f**king serious bro?" Yes, yes I am f**king serious... bro. Trying to level on a respectful level I told him we had some friends inside that we hadn't seen in a couple of years and we were just to meet up for a drink. His response, "That's a cool story man." When I asked for his name he recommended I "turn around and don't come back." Alright man, I'll get a picture instead. (Attached) The only time I plan on returning to this establishment is solely to run into this bouncer again. The only thing I don't understand about the current 2.5 star rating is how it got so high in the first place. GOOD LUCK

Had a really good time in this place ! Has a diverse group of people , all ages . Nice vip seating areas , good music , clean bathrooms and great staff ! Really enjoyed myself for the first time In a long time . Good vibes ! Highly suggest for a night out with the girls or just with a group of friends .

This place is rough. Absolutely empty on weekend nights to the point where bartenders outnumber customers. The atmosphere is kind of tacky

ASSAULTED BY BOUNCERS. Avoid this place at all cost. My brothers, their girlfriends, my fiancé and I unfortunately stumbled upon "Downstairs" last night. We paid our cover, walked down the stairs and were immediately approached by an incredibly intoxicated man, wearing plain clothing. He immediately began harassing us and trying to start an altercation with my brothers and when I told a bouncer about him, we found out that man was club manager, Seth Hill, who ordered us to leave. We complied, as the bar was a SAD EXCUSE FOR A CLUB anyway, and turned around to walk back up the stairs and get our cover refunded. As soon as we got back out onto the sidewalk, we were rushed by about 10 bouncers who jumped my two brothers, holding them on the ground in the middle of the street, kicking and punching them in the head. As I pleaded for them to stop I was pushed to the ground and knocked in the face leaving me with a black eye. They assaulted 5 of us that night (including two 115lb girls) and we all have documented photos of our injuries. The police are involved. Avoid at all cost. This place needs to be shut down.

This bouncer is the best ever! He made my night. He made sure nobody came after hours. I'm glad to have somewhere I can call safe!

Gay night? WTF, $20.00 to get in on a Thursday and it was gay night? Online their was notification at all, WTF. Let customers know ok. WTF !!!!!

Honestly the marketing is completely misleading for this place. It is shown a vibrant bustling night-place with lots of young people having lots of fun. We were hopeful. When we got there, the place was barren. With an 8-1 staff-customer ratio. Some of the only other patrons were old couples drinking out of wine glasses. We went to sit down and were told we couldn't sit in most all the seating areas because it was for food service only. In the pictures, a dance area is shown. In reallity the place is only seating. Not welcoming at all. There were 3 girls there who's only job was to stand in their super skimpy outfits and look pretty. A pretty sad attempt, objectifying women like that, is what I say. This is great for old couples who like the pretend they're young as well as feel superior by being in an 'exclusive club.' It was generic, empty, an just plain sad. Nice drinks, but don't waste your money here. A-list bar, far from I think. The only reason it gets 2 stars it because the staff wasn't mean, the drinks were good, and the place was clean. Try something more original Underground, you are a cookie-cut bad example of a club.

The criminal bouncers expect you to pay them under the counter to get in; least equal opportunity establishment I've ever seen.

Bar tenders (especially Annie) were great and the music was ok. The bouncers were unnecessarily rude and aggressive towards my friends. They were just being good battle buddies and waiting for me, making sure I was ok and they got shoved out of the club. One got pushed up against the wall for no reason, he was complying and walking out already. Don't really know the reasoning for it as I kept trying to reason with the bouncers but they just weren't listening at all.

Always awesome when you are visiting out of town for ten days and a bouncer calls you old as fuck and ugly....(posted the pic when he flicked me off and it will probably be taken down tomorrow) Definitely a classy bar and superior customer service! Zero care about customers

Absolute dump. Terrible service. Everyone looking to fight. Young crowd that drinks way too much. Seth Hill 1 (435) 901-1376 is the manager. I don't know how places like this that have retreated run ins with local law enforcement are aloud to stay open. Park city is a beautiful town. No need for greedy club promoters to get jealous. I was assisted by a club bouncer then asked to leave after ordering $800 in alcohol for me and my 20 friends. Mostly girls

This place is empty as hell on a Saturday night and asking for $500 a table acting like they're super busy and popular. The guy selling tables is arrogant saying "I'm going to sell all of these out tonight." You have 11 tables open at 10:45 pm on a Saturday night and you have the gall to behave arrogantly and roll your eyes when I point it out? Aside from the guy selling the tables, the rest of the people who work here are really nice. He needs an attitude check though.

I had my sister's bachelorette trip here in Park City. We attended Downstairs on a Saturday night and really had a great time here. The club's attendants even held our leftovers from dinner while we were here. The bartender was very friendly and created great Moscow mules. DJ Spider played while we were there and the music was the best!

This place is where u end up after a night on Main street. I usually end up here last call so i normally don't drink because at this point i don't need to. This place is good for shaking your money maker. Its really dark on the dance floor so you can bust your moves and not be judged, ha! Bouncer dudes are a little rough on the guys. Fun place.

If I could give negative stars I would. As two of the maybe ten people in the place on a SATURDAY night, we tried to start the dance party and get the vibe going. First we were told to move out coats off of one of the "VIP" benches. Fine. We moved them to the bar top after discovering the coat check was $2... each item, including bags. Once on the dance floor again, as the only participants, the manager walked up to us, stopped us, and told us we needed to remove our coats from the bar top. He said we needed to check our coats, to which I logically responded, "we are like the only people here." So we paid for our drinks and left after complaining. Don't waste your time in this place. Douchey, outdated, and basically lame. Boo. Go to Silver.

Came to park city to watch Skler Grey. Beware they will lure you in with their marketing making you think there is going to be some great long concert. Well we arrived at 9:15 and I heard them tell one guy there where only 10 tickets left, well when he came to talk to us 1 min later he told us there were only 2 tickets left. Love the sales tactic! Well it worked because it made us think they may sell out of the concert so we better hurry up and buy them for $50 ea. We get in there and there is about 30 people on the place. If we would have known she wouldn't take the stage for 3 hrs we could have hit a Sundance movie and came back to watch Skyler sing. She didn't even take stage until almost 12 midnight! And she Sang 6 songs and it was over. Great singer cool little venue with very nice and helpful bar tenders but watch the front guys they are used car salesmen. BTW they tell you that you can't leave after you pay to get in. That so you buy their drinks for 3 hrs waiting for the talent to take stage for 18min.

Not sure what to make of this place. We were given VIP passes by a woman at the tourist but they were of use to us because women get in free - and we're women. We left a really fun saloon to come dancing here, but there isn't much of a dance floor. Forget about sitting down. There were about 6 nooks with sofa's but they're roped off and cost $500. That may or may not include a bottle of vodka. We didn't ask because there were just 3 of us girls and only 2 of us were drinking. The "downstairs" room looks like a basement. In fact, it is a basement...with sofa's we couldn't afford to sit down at. The place is small too. I'm not sure what to make of this joint, except that it was less crowded than the 2 bars we'd been to earlier that evening. My guess is that men get lured here by the plethora of female promoters in leather underwear and bras. We stayed about 20 minutes. Not that it was a total suck fest, but we had better things to do, like sleep.

You can have all the pretentiousness of an LA club without even being in LA!!! Awesome! Or not. We had been told this was the awesome place to go if you're a local. Are the locals here super duper rich? They were charging a $75/person cover just to get in on nye. I get it, it's new years, but seriously. We were a large party and would have spend plenty on alcohol. I get that most places charge on nye, but that's just uncalled for.

Sorry guys you need to step it up. When someone pays to get in your club, we expect to be treated as a guest and valued customer. My overall experience here was one of sincere disappointment. The staff did not treat us well, the drinks were mediocre at best and it was dead. Maybe it was just an off weekend but after seeing other reviews, this morning. Yeah it's an ongoing problem for them. You can have the best DJ's in the world show up at your doorstep but if your management and staff don't deliver a great experience then it's all for naught. Sorry this place wasn't worth the drive up from Salt Lake, the money we spent or the time we were there. I've had much better experiences elsewhere in Park City and will be trying other places this holiday season. I would suggest you do so to.

Never felt so genderized in my LIFE!! My girlfriend and I were TRYING to have a good time when a drink got spilled on us. The dude who spilled it on us told us to chill out it was a club, then pushed us, so in self defense we pushed back. Bcs there was more of us, he fell and we tried to explain what happened to the security. They told us that we were being "dramatic" bcs we were women, and then told us to leave then told us to leave the club when my friend had a bump on her collar bond from the guy throwing his glass at her, and it was only bcs he had a table and was buying drinks. We were buying drinks too. We we customers and got treated like shit!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't go there!!! They only like you if you spend a shit ton of money, other than that, there is NO respect....

I would give this place zero stars if I could. It's a small boring and empty club which looks more like a bar with rude staff. Stay away from this place. Better go to a local bar in park city - one of those which are filled with people and live music.

Please do not waste your time or money on this place! Make sure you do not check your coat. My friends and I checked 3 coats they gave us one little tag for all 3 coats. We stayed 15 min. We paid for watered down drinks. When we went to get our coats they would only give us one back. They held the other two hostage and said we had to wait until close to get them back! No body in the entire bar could understand why they were doing this. The door man is polite and helpful. The bartenders are nice. However the manager and boncers are as rude as can be. We live in Park City and have given this place more then one chance. We will never go back!!!

every single person recommended downstairs as the place to go in park city. yet, all these (old) reviews were so negative. i was a little anxious about going there for my bachelorette party this past weekend. but our night could not have been better! honestly, it was so perfect. we booked a table for our crew. the server was very sweet and attentive; the host was awesome and made sure we were taken care of; and the dj spun all the greatest old school jams mixed with newer stuff, which is exactly what we needed. my only negative comment would be about the thirsty-ass guys that live in PC. sloppy, desperate, and a 6 anywhere else. luckily, the security guy made sure we were having none of that at our table. :)

We went on a crowded Saturday night. Thank goodness that we paid for a table and bottle service, there was hardly any room to move on the dance floor. For Park City, I expected a more upscale crowd. The Jersey Shore Frat boys next to us did not help either. Pros: The music was good and the bottle service and cover for 10+ girls were super cheap compared to Salt Lake.

I have been to the Downstairs many times over the course of the past 2 1/2 years. Seemed kind of out of place in Utah at first, but has definitely grown on me and other locals. I think they just remodeled because now there are photos of a really sexy girl on the walls and new backdrop on the stage. When you first walk in it's hard not to notice the staff dancing and having fun. Their cocktail servers can usually be found dancing on the tables and sofas or entertaining guests. I also have noticed that there is always the best looking crowd here, especially women. I don't know where they find them all! I have experienced the service just at the bar and at tables, including New Year's Eve 2011. Most recently, I got a table for my girlfriends and I on my birthday last week while Danny Masterson was djing. Not a lot of bars/clubs offer bottle service in SLC/Park City area, and even more difficult to find, somewhere that DOES IT RIGHT! This is hands down the best bottle service I've received at a nightclub and is comparitive to Vegas and L.A.!!!! The server was very friendly and attentive and wearing a sexy corset and short shorts.... she was cute, but also was nice even though it was a group of all women. (that's hard to find, usually cocktail servers are rude to female customers) We just got a bottle of vodka and danced the night away. On different occassions I've been in there is always good music (I'm a house music fan and I guess they play house every Friday night! and then do Top 40 on Saturdays). The server mentioned that they have djs from around the country come and dj monthly and mentioned that periodically you can find some A-list celebrities and pro sports players enjoying service at the tables too. Last week I also noticed they have a new cocktail menu with some yummy drinks, including some classic cocktails and a watermelon martini. During the week it's much slower, but I still like the ambiance regardless and I always try to stop in for an after-dinner drink when they're open and I'm on Main St. Overall, I think this is one of Park City's "diamonds in the rough" of bars. I always have a great time here and this is a must-stop by for a good nightlife if you're visiting or live in Park City.

literally the worst experience i've been through. i brought my friend here for her bachelorette party and they treated us like shit. we reserved tables and they still treated us like shit. no wonder they have no one down there. DO NOT GO HERE!

This used to be a cool bar. The Downstairs staff was super cool. Bartenders were always awesome. The guy at the door was always nice and not a dick like most bouncers. Now... apparently the owners got rid of everybody and brought in a new staff. It sucks. The bouncers act like it's an LA club and the bartenders don't care about anything. It's like they're trying to turn the place into a "mini club" instead of the cool locals bar it was. Way to ruin a perfectly awesome Park City bar... I won't go to Downstairs anymore.

Wow i'm shocked after reading Jason's review i was wondering what happen with the original staff. i noticed 1 or two faces when i was there! All the new staff suck with there big city attitude for a little ski town maybe vegas is the place for this bar but i'm afraid to say you wont make it there ether! You wont see me in this bar any time soon! p.s "I dis like bars that come set up in our town and have no respect for the locals!"

Smaller club, I reccomend getting a table, especially if it gets full. The dance floor is always a good time, everyone is dancing. Its fun because the cocktail ladies are always dancing on the furniture , thats always fun. Ita usually pretty packed, and crowded so keep that in mind. Drinks are cheap which makes me happy, and they have a really good drink menue. One of the bartenders recommend the cucumber cooler or something like that(minty drink) soooo good. This bar is like the only bar you can really get the club-esk vibe on mainstreet besides p.c live (expensive) and starbar.

I have read some of the previous reviews and I am surprised at what I have read. I have been living in Park City for 8 months and have gone to Downstairs dozens of times. The place well laid out, with a dance floor in the middle and seating around the edges of the dance floors. There are several VIP tables at the far end as well. The music has always been very good and the one of the owners DJ's as well. The selection of alcohols is good as well as the prices. There are many places in Park City that charge a lot, and I believe that Downstairs has achieved a good balance in terms of their pricing. As far as the doormen are concerned, I have only had pleasant experiences with them. They are friendly when you speak with them and when I needed a cab the doorman offered to get me one. Definitely one of the better places in Park City.

This is the best bar/night club in Utah. The staff is extremely friendly and the bartenders make the best drinks in the state. The music is high energy and always has a beat. DJ Lux who dj's frequently there is the best DJ in the state. You definitely want to see her spin I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time and great drinks. Whenever my friends from out of state come to visit I make sure to always take them to the Downstairs for a great night out.

I used to be a PC local and this was my favorite spot to be. Pretty much every bar you find on Main Street is a good time, especially if there are people in town but Downstairs seems to be packed every Saturday night even when Park City is a ghost town. They bring in amazing live acts like Skylar Grey and Cameron Rafati, friday nights they bring in House music djs like DJ Dan, but Saturday nights are the best. Yes, it is a small venue and it can get hot, but when you're dancing to the sounds of popular djs from all over the world, you just don't care. When regular djs there are DJ Spider, DJ Scooter, DJ Mom Jeans, DJ Fashen, DJ Kayper, and DJ Reach, it's always a good time. It never really gets that busy until 1030-11 but it will go from absolutely dead to jam packed in about ten minutes. As far as drinks... I highly recommend a long island iced tea or, if you go to the short, female bartender on the right side of the bar, order a mishayla-tai. It's her version of a Mai Tai and it's absolutely amazing!! If you can't tell... I went there a lot. ;)

Wow... So we called two months in advance to reserve a "VIP" section where we told them we would have about 12 people and needed seating for them. They quoted us a price of $225 and said that you have to buy a bottle of liquor to reserve the space which was included in the $225.When we got there last night they literally had a section that was the size of two couch cushions roped off for us. Clearly we wouldn't fit. They then told us "if you want a bigger spot it's $500" Which Would have been fine if that's what they told us from the beginning, but they basically put us on the spot and had no other choice... After the tip the bill was about $710 and we didn't even order any additional drinks lol- totally ridiculous .The staff was okay(although the cocktail waitresses were talking badly about us when we got there but that's to be expected I suppose). But clearly their way of doing business is shady as hell. DO NOT PLAN YOUR PARTY HERE!!!! They will rip you off like they did us.

I have now lived in this little beautiful ski town for on and off 3 years, and love this club where i have been a regular through summer and winter. For being a fairly small intimate club they attract some pretty big well known DJs and im not just meaning over the sundance festival, therefore you can get pretty close to DJs that would generally play huge venues, which i think is pretty special. I have always found the staff extremely friendly and helpful, the security also are focused and fun, if your visiting PC def check it out!

I was out to dinner in Park City with some friends and asked our waiter to recommend a good place to dance. He sent us to The Downstairs and I'm glad he did. The atmosphere was good and the staff was extremely friendly. The place was crowded and had good music playing but getting a drink from the bar was no challenge. I would defiantly recommend this bar to others.

Bartenders were okay, security was randomly rude, and off duty police were extra rude. Wouldn't go back, better places to go for the time and money.

We were informed that the guy from "That Seventies Show", the guy with the glasses, owns this club and DJ's quite frequently. We had just finished dinner and mu husband I saw a modest line firming and decided to check it out. It was locals night, so being out if towners, there was a five dollar cover charge. They had a drink specials that included two dollar whiskey, but we preferred to stay with our beverage of choice. Nonetheless, the prices were still fair and reasonable. The dj was spinning hip hop and it was decent actually really good hip hop. The crowd was big but I heard that this usually the spot to go after eleven and we were early. So, it was chill. A-ok with me if you're down for a lounge like atmosphere with locals. One disclaimer, not sure is that we didn't stay till 11 so I can't tell you if it gets real live with the dancing or the drinking though there was a fair share of both.

Okay so for starters, I'm from California's this bar is Extremely Unprofessional! Went there around 3 times that week and tipped every time we went and the bartenders were extremely nice. The last time one bartender made a comment about how the tips are how they made money and that they weren't making enough. Extremely rude and told the customers AROUND US that we were being rude and not tipping even although we had been here a ton. The customers proceeded to mock and make fun of us saying this is how we tip here and give him money. Is this normal behavior in this club? This rude? I was in shock. We were celebrating my graduation as a criminal justice major and my boyfriend is finally leaning the military after 4 long years of serving, but the bartender was still rude after showing his military ID and proving that he had served. Don't go here unless you are ready to give money to every single bartender because they will start an argument with you in front of every customer and the manager saying that you're a bad customer.

My friends and I had a horrible experience here on the night of the Santa pub crawl. The first incident happened before even making it into the bar. The bouncer in the front of the bar made racist asian comments to one of my friends, which upset her and the whole group. As the night continued, a random guy at the bar approached my other friend who is napalese. He called him an ISIS member and tried to start a fight. My friend ignored the guy but was then approached by the bars bouncers. The bar stated that they had complaints from patrons that my friend looked like a member of isis. They then proceeded to throw him out. The other guy who started all of this was not thrown out. A couple of Pacific islanders who were giving my friend support were also thrown out. There wasn't even a fight. I find it very ridiculous and offensive that a place will kick someone out because of their race! This is one of the most racist places I have ever been to and I will never go back, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.

This is the best dance club in Park City. The place gets packed and the dancing is high energy. The crowd is there to party. It will remind you of a small Vegas club with the energy of South Beach. We have traveled all over the world and experienced night clubs everywhere. We rate this place a solid 7 out of 10. Fri and SAT nights are the best nights for a large crowd. During Sundance film Fest they bring in live acts and the venue is very intimate. VIP service is recommended.
