"Take Flight at This Contemporary Art Museum Prague is one ofEurope’s centers of culture, but it was without aproper contemporary art center for far too long. In2008 the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art opened, with exhibits ofprovoking art, educational and cultural events, and amission to encourage critical reflection and dialogue through the presentation of works that speak to social issues of the day. The 32,000 square foot building, converted from a former factory by architect Ivan Kroupa, is a work of art in itself. And even if you tried to, you can’t miss Gulliver, a wooden zephyr-like airship that appears to have landed on the roof (it is used for literature-focused events.). Back inside, DOX also boasts one of the city’s best design shops and a cafe."
Amazing gallery! It was my 1st time there yesterday, and I visited yo see the Orhan Pamuk exhibition but one ticket covers all the current exhibitions, so it was a nice chance to see different art styles. Very large area of art pieces and lovely staff, they were so nice and helpful. Will be there again 😊

Not my first visit of this museum. I've visited it for the first time 4 years ago i think and back then i liked exhibitions more than this time. This time only some of them were interesting. Others were meh. But still, i like this museum quite a lot.

Really enjoyed my visit to the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art — the team was welcoming and the curation impressive. Orhan Pamuk’s exhibition struck a deep chord with its quiet nostalgia. 'Cyber Lemon' was fascinating in a different way: the juxtaposition between classical romanticism and modern technocratic brutalism. The charred Cybertruck — cold, arrogant, and joyless — felt like a fitting symbol of everything I quietly resent. Watching it burn felt... oddly cathartdic

After we started coming to Babydox every week, we decided it made sense to get membership :) It’s a space we absolutely love spending time in as a family. Exploring the current exhibitions, relaxing in the cafe with a nice drinks, trying the special dessert or drink of the week (the limoncello was absolutely amazing), and joining the events, everything is such a joy.

Nice vibe and a well-curated exhibition. A bit pricey for what it offers, and the location is a bit out of the way, but still worth a visit if you're into the arts.

Yelp
The artists on exhibition will greatly influence your experience in the contemporary art museum. The current show was intellectually stimulating and visually convincing. Two concurrent exhibitions running on themes of social power dynamics caught my eye. Badiucao, principally a graphic artist with a retrospective containing mixed-media. The other is a group show of artists around the world. Two buildings with two outdoor areas.

Yelp
L O V E this gallery. There's a Peter Siś exhibit, as well as other interactive exhibits to spend the majority of our day absorbing.
Pros:
- very open space and the exhibits let's people of all ages engage in their own ways
- not super touristy, many young families or what seems like locals passing through on the weekend
- outdoor patio of the cafe is relaxing and the drink options are plenty (kombucha/coffees/sodas,etc.)
- very kid friendly, play area by the cafe
Notes:
- it's warm in there because of the open natural light pouring in through the windows, check in that jacket- it's free
- make sure to pass by the shop at the end, there are boxes below the display tables that contain merchandise that's on sale or discounted

Yelp
Fun, unique museum in Prague with interactive exhibits. The museum is filled with contemporary art pieces that effectually either reflect or criticize modern social norms.
The museum is a bit confusing in terms of the layout, and many areas seemed to be closed off during our visit (nov 2018) - however, we still had a blast.
Along with a terrace, there is also a nice museum to grab coffee and snacks. We spend a solid 1.5 hours there, although I'm sure you can spend much longer.
If you're in Prague and you've checked out all the normal tourist attractions, I'd definitely recommend this museum.

Yelp
a bit disappointed, make sure you check out what they have on the exhibits before you come. I came when they did a really weird baby things. Not a fan of it. Other than that, cool building and really interesting shoe man on the wall.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this contemporary art museum when I was there. If you want to get away from the long lines and and you appreciate modern art, this is worth a visit.

Yelp
Just what you would expect from a center for contemporary art - great exhibitions, beautiful space, lovely cafe and super expensive gift shot. Definitely worth a visit at least once, though I like to go regularly so I can catch the different exhibitions - I'm never disappointed :)

Yelp
I discovered a very curious contemporary art museum on the outskirts of Prague, with a strong curation of artwork.
