That I got the chance to visit temporary exhibition on National Lottery of El Salvador. I can’t tell better than say that I really learn something new. I enjoyed the agriculture permanent exhibition which explores the agriculture development of the country and region. On the second floor there was an exhibition about African history in the country. There lot of other things to describe but to avoid more spoiling the backyard exhibition was very nice too. Just regret that museum shop store opens Saturday afternoon and I visited during the morning.

First off, the museum IS open as of March 7, 2025. There were a number of conflicting reports in the comments about the museum being closed over the last few weeks. It is definitely back open now. That said, I was a little disappointed with my visit. They do have some interesting displays, but the layout is confusing. Much of the signage is available in Spanish and English, but some of the English translations are printed in a faint gray text which is nearly impossible to read in the dim light. As others have pointed out, foreigners pay 10x what locals pay and, honestly, the quality of the content doesn’t merit the $10 entrance fee. A map of the museum, even if provided electronically, would be very helpful. There are no clear indications where the different rooms are and I nearly missed a few before stumbling into them purely by accident. I had high expectations ahead of my visit, but left a little let down.

I had high expectations for this museum given the rating, and I even allotted >1.5 hours to make sure I can see as much as possible, little did I know that essentially only 1 room/exhibition was available for viewing. Maybe they were conducting maintenance on other exhibition rooms and I was just unlucky, but having paid $10 as a non-Salvadoreño citizen/resident, the cost made it a disappointment. I took my time and finished in ~half an hour.

So much information here Except you have to read all the information yourself. So much safety here. If you are in the city come check it out and learn about the history of El Salvador. Americans pay $10 to enter and salvadorian $1. Bathrooms are not so clean.

Great experience. Learned a lot about the El Salvadoran history, and it's ties to the other Central American countries. Beautiful art. They are doing a lot of renovation right now.

Beautiful building and a decent art collection. Unfortunately, it's still under construction and there is some noise and several rooms half finished. Still, I'm glad I went. I love museums, and I've no doubt this one will be awesome once it's completed.

The cost for foreigners to enter the museum is $10 per person. The day we visited two areas of the museum were closed to visitors because they were using the hallways to construct a new exhibit, but we were still charged full price. The areas we did have access to were not very impressive. There are a lot of enlarged photos just randomly on the wall, which gives the museum a cheap feel. Some of the information on the wall is difficult to read due to the text being so small or low lighting. Overall, the museum was not worth the time or price. A far superior museum in my opinion is Centro de Interpretación Pablo Tesak.

A great museum here in El Salvador with many artifacts. There are two levels to it with multiple rooms to view. This is definitely a must visit place for anyone curious to learn about Salvadoran history!
