Restaurant & Café Drachenhaus

Poor service with unfriendly staffs here wanted to put 1 star but Mr. Gigi changed our mind that we enjoyed our food more. He smiled all the time while he was working and was the only person who welcomed and served us with the friendly polite vibe. To run a Restaurant could not have only one friendly staff with service mind. The rest of the service should start to smile and love the job they do more than what we experienced. Otherwise it’s hard to comeback.

First of all the discount with the Berlin welcome card is a bit of a scam, we learned after meal that we have to tell the staff beforehand that we have the card. So we didnt get the discount. This is not told anywhere. Well the food is as good as you can excpect from a place line this, the aspargus just overdone. Matjes good. Currylentils good with overcooked rice. The local beer is very good. This could have been a nice meal but the owner choose it not to be. There is no point in walking here when you can eat betyer att the mill restaurant, where i will ear next time

Peaceful location below the trees and parts of the historical place buildings. Heaving large outdoors seatings and two large internal rooms. Serving beverages and cakes as well as hot dishes. As i only drek beer i can recomend the atmosphere and the beer.

I was a bit disappointed by the service. I arrived after a long walk and I asked for a cappuccino. As I had ordered the cappuccino, I was told that I cannot pay with card and that it has to be cash. Strange. My colleague went to the same place and she was told that she could only pay with card if she exceeded 10 euros. That's extremely unfair. If you have coffee available, you should expect people ordering it and not putting terms on customers. Great atmosphere, but it means nothing with such service.

Interesting cafe located in the garden. Perfect for a short stop by during the walk in the garden / park to rest and recharge the power. They have regular menu, but we only came for coffee, tea and cake. Table wear is nice. Service is good. Desserts were tasty. Prices are above average.

Everything was pretty ok. I appreciate the place itself. The food was average.

Really good icecream and lunches In the middle of Potsdam. The only thing holding it back are the prices to dessert ratio where a ~10€ dessert doesn't quite yield the amount you'd expect. Otherwise friendly service, great location and delectable sweets

Stunningly located on a hill in Park Sansoucci, in a beautfiul building from the 18th century, with excellent service and delicious German Food created by a chef with a flair for more than just the greatest hits (Wild Boar Sausage was on the menu the day we visited), the Drachenhaus gives you a chance to experience fine dining in an atmosphere that is in sync with both the natural beauty and incredible architecture around you. We ate inside, but in Summer al-fresco dining is available as well. The location and menu make it's being a little pricey warranted.

The building got its name due to the dragons placed on the roof edges. After walking over from Sanssouci Palace, we were hot and hungry. We sat inside as it was quite busy outside and all the shaded seats were taken. I wanted something light, so I had the Melon & Ham Caprese- cantaloupe melon, serano ham, mozzarella & basil pesto. I thought it was going to be a small plate, but it was filling. I originally wanted a sundae for dessert, but in the end I only had room for one scoop of ice cream. I enjoyed this pit stop.

I have to give 5 stars for a few reasons. First is the location. How often do you get to eat in a restaurant that was built in the 1700's. That in itself is a treat. The walk there is also beautiful, trees and a stone walk way. A view of the Sanssouci Castle through the trees in the park is a pretty awesome site. Second but not in any paticular order is the food. All organic and seasonal food made fresh. The chef here really takes pride in the food and it shows. Third was the staff. Our waitress was extremely helpfull and nice. She entertained my friends kid a bit by showing him the kitchen and gave him a paper to color. She also helped us out with a group picture. So if you make it out to Potsdam you should make a trip out here and have some really good German food.

This is a special spot on Klausberg in the Park Sanssouci, which can be reached by foot, bicycle or taxi, but has no parking for cars (it is right by Belvedere auf dem Klausberg). The menu is amazing for a spot tucked up so high on a steep hill, but it has friendly waitstaff and tasty food. We were there on a picture perfect day in September and took in the view. This is a spot you will not soon forget and a worthy destination.

Nice little spot we found on accident while wandering the gardens at Sanssouci. It's a lovely setting, and was a welcome rest stop while in the middle of gardens that turned out to be way larger than we expected. Beautiful, quiet hillside under trees which provided a wonderful spot to stop, drink some wine, and enjoy the garden. Service was friendly and good.
