Dragonfly Cafe

This is my favorite cafe. I come here pretty often. Their bowls are absolutely amazing and very large portions. They're drinks are well done as well. The Build Your Own Bowl is 15.95 and the Lagoon Lemonade is $4. The price is very reasonable given the quality. Their toasts aren't as big in quantity but still high quality. The atmosphere is wonderful and the chairs are very comfy.

I stopped by Dragonfly Café this morning and was blown away by both the presentation and flavor of their food. I ordered the avocado toast, and honestly — it looked too pretty to eat! The toast was perfectly crisp, topped with creamy, fresh avocado spread, a light drizzle of house-made sauce, and finished with a sprinkle of vibrant microgreens that added both color and texture. Every bite was balanced — the crunch of the bread, the smoothness of the avocado, and the tang of the sauce blended beautifully. You can tell they put thought into every detail, from the plating to the flavor harmony. It’s the kind of dish that makes you slow down and actually enjoy breakfast. The café itself feels warm, modern, and inviting — a perfect spot for a quiet morning, a coffee date, or getting some work done while enjoying great food. You can really sense the care and creativity behind everything they serve. If you’re near the area, Dragonfly Café is an absolute must-visit. Delicious, aesthetic, and full of good vibes — it’s the kind of place that turns a simple breakfast into an experience.

Life Alive + Capital One cafe vibes. Came here for a quick breakfast on the patio, and it ended up being a solid find. It’s probably the only spot in this part of Lowell with a nice setup, and honestly, one of the only gentrified-feeling corners of the area. Inside, it’s spacious and inviting with plenty of couches and tables. For a relatively new café, prices were surprisingly reasonable. We tried two of their toasts and the Uplifted Bowl. The bowl was the best thing we had here. It was very reminiscent of the warm grain bowls at Life Alive. Seasoned rice, raw cabbage and carrots, and that familiar peanut sauce combo. The toasts, though, were underwhelming. Signature avocado toast was just smashed avocado on a piece of pretty mediocre toast. No acidity and heat (could barely feel the chili crunch). Tasted more like a hotel lobby version of avocado toast. The Banana Toast was even less appetizing. Not sure if it was the cinnamon powder or just the heavy smear of peanut butter, but it was extremely dry. The honey and cinnamon probably pulled out even more moisture, turning the peanut butter into this thick, paste-like spread. The bananas helped a little, but I still ended up picking off the toppings and leaving the toast behind. Still, if you’re in the area and looking for a spot to chill, get work done, or hang on a patio, this is one of the better options in Lowell. Just stick to the bowls.

The food and service at Dragonfly are excellent. They offer a fantastic gluten-free menu, and I’d honestly love to come back and try everything on it. However, during my visit, there was a “free mic” style event happening, and unfortunately, one of the speakers began by telling the audience to leave if they felt uncomfortable with what she was about to share. That approach didn’t feel very welcoming or inclusive. I chose to stay and simply focus on my meal, but the atmosphere shifted noticeably. This was my second time dining at Dragonfly, and I truly hope this was an isolated incident. I appreciate the space and the food, and I hope the management considers how to ensure a more inclusive and respectful environment for all guests moving forward.

What a fabulous cafe! Tucked into the first floor of this exchange building the Dragonfly Cafe is worth seeking out- especially if you are gluten sensitive! The atmosphere is SO chill with undercurrents of warmth coming from the staff. A wonderful place to pop in or hang for the day! The avo toast (without the spicy stuff for me) was the perfect size and super tasty! The ginger turmeric tea was delicious. The baked goods looked drool-worthy. I will definitely be returning to try a bowl or smoothie. So glad I found this spot!

I always have a wonderful experience here with the quick service and happy staff members. The events are interesting along with the book and clothing drives. These are a great addition to a week or weekend visit here at Dragonfly Cafe. A healthy, well balanced, abundant meal from Dragon fly will certainly satisfy. There are so many options when building your own bowl. Even if you're looking for in house baked goods, they have fresh food prepared daily. If you are in the area looking for a quick treat, coffee, tea, or meal look no further and stop by this gem. You will not regret it!

Absolutely love Dragonfly Cafe - my new favorite spot! The food is amazingly delicious, healthy and allergy-friendly, and everything is gluten free! The staff went above and beyond to check their ingredients book for me to make sure everything I ordered accommodated my allergies. The space has such a cozy, welcoming vibe. Easy parking and convenient location. And the drinks named after songs is such a fun, creative touch! Highly recommend 10/10

I can only share my experience from an event I attended. It was organized and thought out. They did a great job ! The service was incredible. The owner and I believe, partner or coordinator. They were both engaging and I could see they truly care that their customers have a great experience. I felt like I was at home, very comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely be back !

Favorite chill spot for a high protein meal. Made fresh and with love! The cafe is beautiful, bright and spacious. Wonderful service with kind employees. Hidden gem right off route 3 in lowell.

Contrary to what I thought, the interior is huge! It gives off modern coffee shop ambiance with a little bit of hippie, organic. I love the booth seats. The servers and cashiers are very friendly and welcoming. If you dine in, they bring your drinks and food to you! My husband made his own bowl with basmati rice, kale, I think beef carnitas, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I ordered the motivated sandwich which was essentially an egg, bacon, cheese, sandwich with micro greens. My sandwich was basic, and small, not worth the $10 I'd say. However my husband's bowl was full of flavor! The carnitas kinda tasted like Vietnamese Thit Kho so that was nice. He raved about the flavor in The sweet potatoes and how he's coming here from now on. I got the Lagoon lemonade while he got the Dragonfly lemonade, which the cashier mentioned is made with house made elderberry syrup. My lemonade tasted so familiar but I couldn't put my mind to it. It tasted like a blue raspberry lemonade but very light and not too sour which is great for when I want something refreshing and fruity. The dragonfly lemonade was also a toned down lemonade with a slightly sweet taste which is good as well. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try some more drinks. P.S. they also serve liquor here so if you want brunch ;)

Got a bowl for takeout and it was pretty solid with good flavors and portion. Good first impression and I would try this place again.

The food was fantastic, beautiful, and easily customizable. Visiting Lowell and have been struggling to find a place like this with such clean options- and the owner was awesome! Happened to stop by during their Wednesday night trivia that began at 7PM and the host was fun. Loved the atmosphere and I appreciate that they are a celiac kitchen!

I cannot say enough good things about Dragonfly cafe. It has easily become one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The food was incredible (as always) and the atmosphere is amazing. I will definitely be back (multiple times) in the future! I know a lot of people seem to be bothered by the prices, but as someone who has to eat gluten-free, I would gladly pay a higher price to know that my food is not only safe but also healthy!

I can't eat gluten so I go to this dedicated gluten free restaurant a lot. They still have meat and dairy available if you want it so it's not as earthy and crunchy as other places. Good food choices, coffees, smoothies. My only dislike is the over use of healthy spices like turmeric and cinnamon because I'm slightly allergic to these. I also have a nickel allergy and they use kale and beans etc which are higher in nickel. This isn't their fault but sometimes it's hard to find choices without this stuff

While in town for a softball tournament, we hit Yelp looking for some smoothies and a healthier, lighter, fast lunch option. My GPS directed me here no problem but then figuring out parking was kind of tricky. I turned down the road which Dragonfly is on the corner of and found myself at a bus terminal with all kinds of no parking signs. I did a loop and returned to the lot of the building and chanced parking there even though it seemed like the lot was reserved for the medical facility that was located there (signage posted). The inside of the cafe is clean and bright, very inviting. You order at the counter and then are given a number tent to set at whatever table you'd like to sit at, with your food delivered shortly after. Everything here is dairy free and gluten free so it's perfect if anybody has dietary restrictions. All the food is super fresh but the pricing does add up quickly. I know it happens, but I did find a curly hair in my smoothly and I asked for my burrito to be black-bean free, which it was not. For a lunch that was fairly pricey, it was a little disappointing to not be satisfied with half our order. I'm going to assume this isn't the norm, but worth mentioning in an honest review.

The food were really good. I created my own bowl, it was quite pricey for such little amount. I also got the "revitalized" salad and will probably order that one again. I really like the chill pill juicery. The butterfly pea flower iced tea was okay. I didn't read that it changes color and thought I was tripping. Lol. Bottom line.. Healthy and delicious!

Dragonfly Cafe is such an incredible cafe, that I cannot get enough of. Their menu has several options, all vegetarian and vegan friendly. The atmosphere is exquisite - so calm, clean, tons of seating, and beautiful decor, plants and an overall wonderful vibe. The food is so tasty, and they have unique flavors and combos which offer great variety and a reason to always come back. Their baked goods are so delicious, especially the vegan brownie and cookies. I love this place and I truly cannot wait to keep going.

Impeccable vibes and decor with easy parking. Friendly staff. Expensive food with small servings though. You'd hope a $10 sandwich with kid sized bread would warrant at least a bag of chips alongside it. The smoothie was also nice. But we left after spending about bit over $40 and were still hungry. We both got a sandwich each, a slice of banana bread, a smoothie, and a cold brew coffee.

My favorite cafe. Everything on their menu is super healthy and delicious. Very good place for people with food allergies. The entire place is gluten free. The Atmosphere is bright, spacious and comfortable. The vegan donuts are better than any donut I have had. I would highly recommend trying it!

The coffees tasted like they were old or had gone bad. The food was extremely overpriced for what it was. The inside is beautiful but my husband RARELY refuses to eat something and he did not like his breakfast wrap. I see the potential though

Love the selection here - it doesn't taste like it's gluten free, if that's a concern for people. Breakfast sandwiches are amazing. The space is fun and inviting, warm and cozy. Food can be a little slow sometimes if it's super busy, but the taste has always been worth the wait.

This is a beautiful place and has great food. We had smoothies, salad, avocado toast and breakfast bowl. Everyone enjoyed their food. Everything is gluten-free kitchen; didn't have to go through preference or allergy questions. Service was spectacular and ambience too! Come eat here; we came 2 days ago; can't wait to come back!

Excellent, healthy, tasty fare in the charmingly redone brick mill building at Thorndike Exchange. It is the first floor of the swank apartment building. You can go up the several steps or use an elevator to get to the first floor level. Outstanding selection and variety for breakfast and lunch. Smoothies, grain bowls, salads, all kicked up to a higher plane for your tastebuds' enjoyment. Homemade toast for the sandwiches is perfection, and the Abundance grilled cheese with bacon, tomato, pesto was just the right portion size. Friendly service, environmentally-conscientious practices, outdoor patio, chic interior, attached parking lot and nearby garage. It is all good here at the Dragonfly Cafe.

The people there are so sweet and upbeat. The atmosphere is bright and a great place to study. The price for the matcha latte and pura vida was slightly overpriced at $24. Kinda like a glorified chipotle but with better fresher ingredients. Id definitely come here again the dressing on the grain bowl was fresh and savory. The matcha latte was good too and they have a variety of milks for yo ur lattes if you have and allergies.

Wish I lived nearby because I would be here all the time. Stopped in while traveling and was pleasantly surprised by the open, beautiful space as well as the tasty gluten free menu. Had the avocado toast and an oat milk chai latte and both were perfect.

Fantastic cafe. Modern and clean, staff was super pleasant and accommodating. Love that it's a gluten free menu, this makes it so much easier for me ;). Smoothies and food were delish. Will come back!!

This was our first time to this entirely gluten free cafe. It is a beautiful, airy and light filled. I had the avocado toast and my husband the Awakened bowl. Delicious. The staff was friendly and informative. The only bummer,but it is a big one , is that they serve their food on plastic dishes, use plastic cutlery and serve very good coffee in takeaway cups. So that kind of lowered the whole thing for me. Before that happened I thought the place was very classy. Too bad because everything was great.

Beautiful space, excellent service, staff is friendly and welcoming. The Grateful Bowl was delicious and fresh. Better than I could make at home and I don't usually think that about any restaurant food. The bonus is that it is healthy too! I hope they do well and stay here for a very long time.

Love the vibe at Dragonfly. Everyone who works here is friendly and the service is efficient. The environment is comfortable, chill, and relaxing. Feels like I can hang here all day. They seem to have some community type events which is great as well. Loved the Labene toast, and the smoothie. This is definitely a place I'll be revisiting often for a healthy meal, snack, or just to come do some work. Thanks for creating such an awesome space.

Went here today for the first time! The food was so delicious, and very fresh. I created my own bowl and paired it with a smoothie. I think it is a bit expensive but there aren't many places in Lowell with healthy food and fresh ingredients. I'll definitely be back, also very cute and relaxing inside.

Love coming here! The space itself is beautiful and the food is so fresh and delicious. I typically get the habibi or inspired bowl (with added marinated kale because it's so delicious). Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their products plus there are SO MANY VEGAN OPTIONS! Definitely recommend

I love this place. Their food is healthy, delicious and satisfying! My favorite dish is the Pura Vida Bowl, every time I go it is fantastic. You can tell their staff puts a lot of care into each order to make sure the quality is top notch. The atmosphere is bright, relaxing, clean and modern. I read the other reviews , IMO this is totally beyond the realm of Chipotle! Comparing it to Dragonfly Cafe and their food is basically an insult. It is a little pricey , but the old adage stands - "you get what you pay for". Definitely try this place if you're in Lowell!

The food was good but they are too pricey for the amount they give you. I paid over $40 for two bowls and two lemonades. I know I can get more for my money at a restaurant where the food is even better tasting with less cost. Spending $40 and being really hungry within 3 hour doesn't cut it. Thanks for the experience, Once again the food is good but too much for my pockets.
