Dragonfly Guesthouse/Restaurant/Bar

I had a beautiful and memorable stay at Dragonfly Guesthouse. My room and the shared bathrooms were very well taken care of and clean. The bar and chill space have breathtaking views which don’t feel real. This was the perfect stay in M’Pai and I can’t reccomend staying here enough. Tash, Kirsten and all the staff were so friendly and able to give me amazing recommendations or a good chat. I’d love to come back!

Absolutely loooved it here, Dragonfly has a certain magic to it. This is one of my favourite spots, on one of my favourite islands. Beautiful location overlooking the ocean, with a short 5 min walk to the beach, and rustic open air bar with the best laid back, fun vibe. Incredible hosts who will make you feel instantly at home and part of the island community (thanx Kirsten, Tash and Toni!). You will never want to leave.

Making me feel very welcome 🙏 |It was low season so was lovely getting to know them whilst chilling at the bar with delicious cocktails. Very friendly and homely atmosphere.|The food.... well what can I say other than 100% delicious. All vegan plant based which isnt normally me but omg so wonderful. |Its nestled away up the hill on the cliffs, amazing views. The bar area was very comfortable with plenty of seating on the cliff side. |Our rooms were lovely, and comfortable a very clean area with nice cool shower which is perfect as you'll be very hot and sticky. Such great value. |The whole island was beautiful. We spent a couple of morning down on the beach and it felt like our own little space. Just perfect. |I look forward to seeing them again in the future.

I really adored this place. Don't know about the guesthouse, but the bar was very nice. Very easy way to make good friends in this small island. And props to Toni the bartender who was so fu and welcoming :)))

This bar is just about the coolest on the island...the owners are kind, generous and fun, offering an eclectic range of music evenings - acoustic, world, heavy metal, juke box nights. They also hosted one of the best New Year Eve parties for 2026, with some of the most talented DJs in Cambodia. Wow! completely recommend a visit!

I booked the room with the en-suite bathroom and it was lovely. The ceiling fan provided more than enough air to keep the room nice and cool. The cocktails are by far the best on the island, with my personal favorites being the espresso martini and Bloody Mary! The owners are incredibly kind and caring women who will help make your stay at M'Pai Bay magical!

I had such a wonderful stay here! The dorm was very clean and open like other dorms on the island, but with a clever divider that gives you extra privacy — a really unique setup. Each bed has its own wooden security box, a fan, and even a mosquito net if you want (though I didn’t need it, thanks to Tash’s mosquito coils!). The beds were spotless, and they even provide towels and slippers, which was such a nice touch. The showers are super clean — you can choose between high-pressure water or bucket-style in true island fashion. The bar and restaurant, located just in front of the guesthouse, are a highlight. They offer delicious plant-based food, amazing cocktails, and absolutely stunning views from the bar area. Yoga mats and snorkeling masks are also available, and the ocean is crystal clear — perfect for swimming or snorkeling. What a lovely, relaxing spot with such friendly vibes. Review for the king room without hot water. Maybe we just were unlucky but other positive review do not reflect my experience and my three nights stay here. One of my worst experiences ever. It supposed to be a place where we spend our holiday. Yet, we soon realized that we were expected to know that this accommodation doesn't have hot water (although nowhere in the discription is stated that) and pay for this without asking any questions or having any complaints. When we decided to end our stay earlier, the host made us feel as some pretentious fools who expected to have hot water and cannot read properly the booking description and even threatened us that they are going to report us on Booking cause we decided to stay just three nights out of 5 booked. We were accused that did not came to the bar to check in although I came late in the evening and no one mentioned about the check in procedure (especially since we were welcomed by the host who gave us the room key). There is nothing that I liked about this accommodation. No respect. No compassion. They just ruined our vibe and made us leave the island much earlier than we planned.
