BEWARE GIRLS I took a boat trip with the fiancé/husband of the owner, a young Italian woman apparently, who wasn't there at the time. I paid for the service with her husband, a young Jamaican guy, but was harased and he asked me if we could go on a date. This made me so angry and feel unsafe. I just hope the wife who owns this Guest house knows about her husband. Please, women and girls, don't trust strangers and be always with someone you trust when you book a service/boat tour.

Very basic accomodation without A/C, no TV, no fridge, only one soap in the bathroom, but nice people.

Out of all the places we stayed in Jamaica, this was by far the best. Francesca and TJ’s hospitality made us feel so comfortable during our stay, from breakfasts every morning to a freshly made bed after a long day in the sun. The property is situated perfectly - walking distance from some of the best beaches on the island, and a short 10-15 minute drive from downtown Port Antonio. There are lots of cozy spots to read chat on the property, or to watch the sun set over the ocean. I’ll not only be recommending the eastern side of the island to anyone I know who visits, I’ll also be recommending Francesca’s guest house. Thank you for having us!

Francesca and TJ are amazing hosts. Francesca truly made sure we felt welcome. She had great suggestions and connections for daily excursions and put us in touch with a great tour guide to take us through the waterfalls. The house is a short walk to a very simple beach, and a relatively short walk to Frenchman's cove. They also made us breakfast every morning, which was nice of them. Our room was kept clean daily by the staff as well. This was truly a cute stay, surrounded by nature and the sound of the waves and sea at night. It is also a short car ride to downtown. While the wifi network wasn't reliable, i truly cannot find anything negative to say.

Loved the peaceful environment run by Francesca and Carla. Beautiful garden, you can hear the sound of the sea and next door you can walk down and swim. 10min walk from Frenchman’s Cove. Go to Mitsy’s bar on the Main Street for a drink and she’ll look after you. Nice breakfast and you can also cook your own food in the shared kitchen.

We stayed there Summer of 2011. We had our 1.5 yr old son and 2 guests in addition to our 3 member family. The food was great, they were kind and accommodating. It felt very authentic and had a very good vibe. Everything from the simple traditional decor to the owners felt very welcoming. Im so glad it is still up and running today. Just goes to show it is well managed and kept up by the family. I would recommend to anyone looking to get some nice hospitality in Jamaica.

This place was a gem, and our favorite place in Jamaica where we stayed. It is owned by an Italian lady, and her daughter, and they seem to do a lot to give back to the Jamaican community. The place is small, but comfortable. We got a room without an en suite bathroom, which was fine, as long as you don’t mind walking down the stairs and using the bathroom off of the kitchen. Also, the water in the shower wasn’t that hot, but that seems to be a systemic problem throughout Jamaica. Carlotta was really helpful in telling us what to do in the area, and helping us to set it up. She called a really great guide for us to do Reach Falls, and we were incredibly grateful to her for that. ||If you arrange with them ahead of time, they can also cook a delicious Jamaican dinner for you, for a fairly reasonable price. The night were we there, they made coconut fish and rice, which was absolutely delicious. ||||Tips: They don’t have a credit card machine, so be prepared to pay with cash (we paid in Jamaican, but they also accept dollars). ||||Be careful walking along the road, the cars get scarily close. Hopping on a route taxi or minibus is also easy enough. ||||Be sure to check out the small beach near the guest house – there is no fee, and it is delightful. Frenchman’s Cove is nice, but a little overpriced, IMO. ||||They don’t have a washing machine, but if you have been travelling a long time, there is a sink in the back with soap and a clothesline. However, be warned that things take approximately forever to dry. ||||The wifi is there, but pretty slow.

The place is perfect for a base to explore the nearby beaches and waterfalls, with a green yard and you can listen to the waves as you go to sleep and wake up. Francesca and the staff took great care of us and helped plan our activities according to the weather so we could full-joy each day. Restaurant options aren’t that plentiful nearby. The property has a kitchen for guest use and a nice optional breakfast. Bonus kitty and dog that are friendly (not intrusive) for those who like making furry friends.
