When planning our 5th visit to Paris, I looked for a hotel in the Quartier du Louvre, always our favorite area to stay. I came across Drawing Hotel, a newer, modern boutique hotel with floors designed by contemporary artists. We loved staying here for seven nights, truly made our visit special and the location could not be better. We arrived early (9 am or so) on an August Wednesday, and as always, I had requested early check-in if possible. We were met by concierge Linda at reception, what an amazing representative she is for Drawing Hotel! Linda warmly welcomed us, reconfirmed the details for our stay, and said she would call to see about our room, hoping it could be ready soon. No sooner had she called when housekeeping representative Sabrina came to the desk and happily let us know our room was ready! After a long flight from North Carolina, we were delighted and relieved to check in early, truly appreciate this effort. The entire front desk staff is great, including Khadi, who was so helpful on several occasions with our various questions. Both Linda and Khadi were there as we checked out the following Wednesday, and had our requested cab to the airport waiting for us. ||The hotel has 48 rooms, beautifully decorated and functional, and I appreciated the Nespreso and kettle. (One suggestion I do have for the glass shower door to the hallway (shower and sink separate from toilet area), is to add decorative stickers, perhaps the hotel logo, to this glass door for safety reasons.) The layout and ease of the room was very nice (we had a standard room with king bed, fourth floor). Despite facing the street, the room was very quiet.||The rooftop terrace bar area was lovely, such a nice space to retreat for a bit.. The daily breakfast looked wonderful, but we did not purchase this this option, we enjoyed getting on with our day and stopping at one of many nearby cafes (we loved Brasserie Le Royal, just around the corner.) Although a few mornings, we bought just coffees from your dining area to take to our room.||The area around the hotel was prefect, as you leave the front door, you see the Louvre and Palais Royal, and around the corner you see the Palais Garnier up Avenue du l’Opera. And the metro is easy access, just steps away from both Pyramides and Palais Royal metro stations. As we have been to Paris several times, we enjoyed more relaxation this visit, and shopping, spending time at the outdoor cafes (we had perfect weather all week in August, cooler mornings and warm afternoons), and revisiting some of our favorite museums and sites. New this visit were visiting Monet’s Gardens and also Normandy for a day trip. We also finally made it to the Dior Museum, highly recommend.||Thank you, Drawing Hotel, for a lovely visit. We hope to be back and stay with you again!
