DREAM Hostel Kyiv

This time I had bad experience, specially the reception, they charged me more than the real price which is writing on their website, the price was 340, but I paid 545! They said it’s for service! BTW first day in 3x room i paid less but also with extra, the second day in 6x room which should be cheaper! I paid more than in 3x room! That was unfair, it’s not about money, it’s about honestly! Specially when they saw my German passport!

This is a very impressive hostel. It's a beautiful building nestled into a courtyard. The staff were incredible. The private room with private bath was exceptional, it was hotel level comfort, at a very reasonable price. The on site restaurant is amazing, but I wish they kept the small seating area by the reception reserved for the hostel guests as a common area in the evening, because while the restaurant is open you can not enjoy your own drinks and food as it becomes part of the restaurant for some reason. Minor nitpick. Overall amazing stay, and I will absolutely be staying there again next time I visit Kyiv.

A fantastic central place to stay during the war—ideal for connecting with others in the NGO space and sharing stories. It offers excellent value for money, with a wide variety of meals available and well-equipped shared facilities for those who prefer to self-cater. Guests can choose between private rooms or more affordable shared accommodation. During air raids, we often gathered together, singing songs and sharing drinks—a moment of solidarity amid the chaos. Just be sure to bring a head torch, as power outages are common.

While I do agree that this is the best option for the price, there are some drawbacks worth mentioning. All rooms have a ventilation system that runs non-stop, and it makes a constant noise. If you're sensitive to sound, be prepared to feel like you're living next to a humming turbine. Of course, it’s not as bad as having noisy neighbors — if you're unlucky enough to have those — but it genuinely annoys me and overshadows other positives like clean bedding and comfortable amenities.

No dream, this Dream Hostel. I missed for example something to hang up my wet jacket. But nowhere elso you can meet so many good people. That is a dream. Friendly staff. I stayed here for one week during a holiday in april 2025 and would definitely come back. Now I was here again in october 2025 and change my review to five stars.

My expectations were pretty high coming from the sister location in Lviv, so that's something to take into consideration. Firstly, the staff were amazing and always friendly and ready to answer questions. The common area is shared with the cafe but usually wasn't a problem because they were sort of separated. The rooms were fine. The lockers were smaller, and the beds did not have curtains, but otherwise it was fairly normal. The bathrooms were solid, though there could've been more places to place things in the showers imo. The location is decent, about a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro station, but right on the major strip with a bunch of great restaurants.

Absolutely fantastic hostel. Rooms available from bunk bed multi occupancy, to individual rooms with shower and toilets. Interior is nice clean and bright with very friendly staff on reception. An attached cafe provides good food and drink options, as well as a kitchen area if you want to cook yourself. The communal showers and toilets are constantly cleaned. Have now stayed here twice! Would definitely recommend and I will return.

Great place to stay for a night or two. Location is just perfect! Close to metro, great restaurants, and nice sightseeing places. Service is fast and friendly. The only con for me was the bathroom. It was clogged. And my roommates were really messy (but that's something out of my control) Overall, I was satisfied. And recommend to stay there especially if you are on a tight budget 😉
