DREAM Hostel Kyiv

Location was the only good thing. Stayed for 10 nights, we had private room. First of all there is nowhere to put up your jackets only a hanger rail which isn't suitable for two people, the shampoo wasn't stocked up or neither soap, no toilet roll so we went shop and bought our own. The beds on 4th floor are squeaking like crazy you can hear lots going on 🤣. You also bang your head in the loft rooms. Generator would work in day but was switched off at night, receptionist could be a little more friendlier. Only stay for 2 or 3 days maximum.

Dream house hostel is a decent hostel that ticks all the boxes all hostels should, good location, big common area, good sized rooms with big comfy bunks, a bar and restaurant but most of all great staff. After nearly 2 months of back and fourth with Leisa the head of reception trying to look after our group of 6/7 Australian man babies, she did it without ever getting upset or annoyed with us, booked us for Chernobyl, shooting, pub crawls and dealt with our constant boozing and coming home at 2am ordering us dominos pizza. Amazing hostel and would stay again.

This time I had bad experience, specially the reception, they charged me more than the real price which is writing on their website, the price was 340, but I paid 545! They said it’s for service! BTW first day in 3x room i paid less but also with extra, the second day in 6x room which should be cheaper! I paid more than in 3x room! That was unfair, it’s not about money, it’s about honestly! Specially when they saw my German passport!

This is a very impressive hostel. It's a beautiful building nestled into a courtyard. The staff were incredible. The private room with private bath was exceptional, it was hotel level comfort, at a very reasonable price. The on site restaurant is amazing, but I wish they kept the small seating area by the reception reserved for the hostel guests as a common area in the evening, because while the restaurant is open you can not enjoy your own drinks and food as it becomes part of the restaurant for some reason. Minor nitpick. Overall amazing stay, and I will absolutely be staying there again next time I visit Kyiv.

A fantastic central place to stay during the war—ideal for connecting with others in the NGO space and sharing stories. It offers excellent value for money, with a wide variety of meals available and well-equipped shared facilities for those who prefer to self-cater. Guests can choose between private rooms or more affordable shared accommodation. During air raids, we often gathered together, singing songs and sharing drinks—a moment of solidarity amid the chaos. Just be sure to bring a head torch, as power outages are common.

While I do agree that this is the best option for the price, there are some drawbacks worth mentioning. All rooms have a ventilation system that runs non-stop, and it makes a constant noise. If you're sensitive to sound, be prepared to feel like you're living next to a humming turbine. Of course, it’s not as bad as having noisy neighbors — if you're unlucky enough to have those — but it genuinely annoys me and overshadows other positives like clean bedding and comfortable amenities.

Absolutely fantastic hostel. Rooms available from bunk bed multi occupancy, to individual rooms with shower and toilets. Interior is nice clean and bright with very friendly staff on reception. An attached cafe provides good food and drink options, as well as a kitchen area if you want to cook yourself. The communal showers and toilets are constantly cleaned. Have now stayed here twice! Would definitely recommend and I will return.

No dream, this Dream Hostel. I missed for example something to hang up my wet jacket. But nowhere elso you can meet so many good people. That is a dream. Friendly staff. I stayed here for one week during a holiday in april 2025 and would definitely come back. Now I was here again in october 2025 and change my review to five stars.
