DREAM Hostel Kyiv

My expectations were pretty high coming from the sister location in Lviv, so that's something to take into consideration. Firstly, the staff were amazing and always friendly and ready to answer questions. The common area is shared with the cafe but usually wasn't a problem because they were sort of separated. The rooms were fine. The lockers were smaller, and the beds did not have curtains, but otherwise it was fairly normal. The bathrooms were solid, though there could've been more places to place things in the showers imo. The location is decent, about a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro station, but right on the major strip with a bunch of great restaurants.

Absolutely fantastic hostel. Rooms available from bunk bed multi occupancy, to individual rooms with shower and toilets. Interior is nice clean and bright with very friendly staff on reception. An attached cafe provides good food and drink options, as well as a kitchen area if you want to cook yourself. The communal showers and toilets are constantly cleaned. Have now stayed here twice! Would definitely recommend and I will return.

Great place to stay for a night or two. Location is just perfect! Close to metro, great restaurants, and nice sightseeing places. Service is fast and friendly. The only con for me was the bathroom. It was clogged. And my roommates were really messy (but that's something out of my control) Overall, I was satisfied. And recommend to stay there especially if you are on a tight budget 😉

I really like this place. I am quite certain that I was there at least once back in 2017-18, and I was just there again in March of 2024. It has a convenient location not too far from a Metro Station, and that big Ferris Wheel thing is there. There are plenty of restaurants just down the street, and St. Andrew's Church is a short walk up a hill.

Why do employees use the Instagram business account to contact people who blocked them on all their private social media accounts? A business Instagram account should be used for business and not by a gold digger employee to try getting free stuff from someone who doesn't want contact with her. Dear employee, if you'd like to know why I blocked you, "you're a gold digger", and I'm allergic to gold diggers! Mrs employee, I'd like to remind you of one of many stories I had with you that made me cut contact with you (I must admit I was a fool for not cutting all contact with you much earlier). I lent you 4,000 Hryvnia, and before your birthday, you asked me to forgive you the loan as a birthday gift, and I did, and even afterwards, you were still angry I didn't get you a birthday gift on your birthday itself. And what did you bring to my birthday party? You bought an attitude that I didn't provide the alcohol you like (I bought and provided all the alcohol and didn't ask anyone to bring anything). You asked me in the middle of the party to give you money so you could buy the alcohol you like. After the party, you begin begging me to provide you with 300 Hryvnia for a taxi home, and I only give it to you so you'll leave me alone. And what did you bring to my birthday party? Even a postcard with a wish you didn't bring with you. (The party was in the hostel) I was a long-term hostel resident, renting a private room on a monthly agreement. The reason why I left was because the environment of the employees of the hostel and restaurant was more the feeling of lap dancers in a nightclub demanding free stuff and constantly reminding me when their birthday is or when women's day is. The story I mentioned above is only from one employee; if I say all stories from all employees [like taking cigarettes from me without permission, etc], I can write a book about it. But that's what you get when you pay your employees below the minimum. Till 2022, this hostel was a nice, decent hostel with mostly lovely employers and guests. But for some reason. The good employers didn't return after they closed in Feb 2022 and laid off most of the employees when the war broke out. One employer told me he didn't return because he was not paid anything while the hostel was closed. Maybe most normal guests didn't want to return because this company kicked out all guests, including long-term guests when the Ruzzki terrorist attack began without warning them (including me), so they didn't come back. The only reason I came back was because all my belongings were there, and I couldn't move on so fast. Now, this business doesn't function Anymore as a hostel but more as a low-glass accommodation. And low-class accommodations will never have professional receptionists. I still have much to say, but I'll stop her. Update: Once a shoplifter comes to the supermarket, no one knows he is a shoplifter. The supermarket owner called out his hourly announcement: "All shoplifters have to leave the facility now." The shoplifter began screaming at the owner, insisting that he had not come to shoplift today. Instead, today he had intended to pay. This story now is the same with the employer who contacted me. Did I call your name loudly? So why are you starting to scream if it's not you? Just keep quiet, and don't let everyone know you're the person I'm talking about. If you're screaming and so upset and trying to blackmail me, it means what I say is correct.

I've stayed here for a weekend and it was very enjoyable experience! The staff are friendly, you can use the laptop at the reception, beds are clean and showers are spacious. Dream Hostels family is well known in Ukraine and it's a trademark for a decent service. Location - Podil neighborhood - is awesome! Would stay here again :)

Loved this place, of the 3 hostels this was my favorite. A few hiccups with booking but after that was resolved, I really enjoyed the location. It's close to lots if attractions, easy walking distance to many restaurants and shopping centers. The hostel has a kitchen with everything you need, a restaurant inside and help the whole time. I would stay here again.

Dream house hostel is a decent hostel that ticks all the boxes all hostels should, good location, big common area, good sized rooms with big comfy bunks, a bar and restaurant but most of all great staff. After nearly 2 months of back and fourth with Leisa the head of reception trying to look after our group of 6/7 Australian man babies, she did it without ever getting upset or annoyed with us, booked us for Chernobyl, shooting, pub crawls and dealt with our constant boozing and coming home at 2am ordering us dominos pizza. Amazing hostel and would stay again.
