10 Best All-inclusive Resorts for Solo Travelers

"Set along the banks of the Belize River and surrounded by jungle, this 30-room retreat offers a peaceful base for adventurous solo travelers with two swimming pools, an all-day restaurant and bar, a spa, and a cozy library. Certain activities such as canoeing and mountain biking are included in the all-inclusive rate, which also covers round-trip transfers from Belize City; deeper excursions like jungle hikes, zip-lining, or Mayan-ruins tours are available for an extra fee. The property’s small scale and included basics make it a budget-friendly option for those who want easy access to nature with optional add-on adventures." - Meagan Drillinger Meagan Drillinger Meagan Drillinger left New York City for a life on the road. This property was gorgeous! Lush greenery everywhere. Wake up to howler monkeys, birds and nature. We felt at peace and enjoyed every minute. The cabins were spacious and the bed was really comfortable. They had big cabins for families and groups. Takes a bit for the AC to cool down but it was really hot outside. Carmen was very nice and we enjoyed talking to her. The food was really good! We got Belizian chicken and breakfast the next day. If you are looking for a jungle lodge experience, I would visit Dream Valley!

I visited Dream Valley back in February 2025 and had such an incredible time that I had to return for my son’s graduation in June—and it was even better than I remembered! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. ||A huge shoutout to Carmen, who helped me plan all our excursions—my son absolutely loved every single one! Whether it was cave tubing, ATM Cave or climbing the temple exploring Mayan ruins, or zip-lining through the jungle, each adventure was unforgettable. ||The resort itself was perfect. My son couldn’t get enough of the gym, basketball court, and soccer field, while I loved relaxing by the pool with my drinks. The food was delicious, the rooms were very spacious , and the entire property felt like a true escape. ||What really stood out was the personalized service the staff remembered our names and little details that made us feel like family. Time flew by so fast that we’re already planning our next trip! My son loved it so much that he’s organizing a friend trip to show them how amazing Dream Valley and Belize is. ||If you’re looking for a 5-star experience with adventure, relaxation, and top-notch hospitality, this is the place. We’ll be back soon—thank you, Dream Valley!🌴✨

We added a trip to Belmopan last minute at the end of our trip and it was very worth it. The food was better than expected and the rooms were simple but great. The highlight was the pool. We have kids ages 1.5, four and six. They wanted to spend every second in the pool

My stay at Dream Valley Resort was absolutely incredible—truly the best experience I’ve ever had at any resort, hands down. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was unmatched. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed, cared for, and completely relaxed throughout my stay. You can tell they genuinely care about every guest’s experience.||The food? Phenomenal. No exaggeration—it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it was breakfast, dinner, or anything in between, I looked forward to every bite.||The scenery is something out of a dream. Lush greenery, peaceful river views, and the serene sounds of the rainforest created the perfect atmosphere for rest and rejuvenation. There’s not a single resort in Belize that can top this one when it comes to the beauty of the surroundings—it’s simply breathtaking.||The amenities were amazing too. The gym had everything I needed, and working out with that view made it feel more like a luxury than a workout. The spa experience was also unforgettable—special shout-out to the massage therapist who was truly gifted and made me feel completely relaxed and renewed.||As for the excursions, they were the best I’ve ever been on. The resort made everything so easy to plan and coordinate. From adventurous cave tours to exploring nearby Mayan ruins, every activity was exciting, safe, and filled with unforgettable memories. The staff were helpful every step of the way and made sure I got the most out of every experience.||I can’t recommend Dream Valley Resort enough. It’s a hidden gem in Belize and easily a 10 out of 10. I’ll absolutely be returning—and if you're considering a stay, don’t hesitate. This place will blow you away.

Seems like an older resort that is struggling to keep up with all the maintenance but the prices were reasonable and the people were so friendly and helpful! Food was great, birds were beautiful in the morning-saw a few toucan! River looks like it would be great canoeing but we ran out of time. Pools were beautiful and clean. Rooms were nice and comfortable…

This was a fantastic place. The grounds are well manicred without destroyibg the wild beauty. Food is good. Pool is nice and deep. Rooms are clean and have ac. Wifi doesnt work well in the roons, but if you are at the pool, it works well. It has hiking trails, a pool, and a small putput game. I saw a lot of birds and monkeys. Staff was very helpful. If you are looking for a nice and easy nature getaway, this is a good place. The road is a bit rough, but not terrible.

We had a great stay at Dream Valley! The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Carmen made sure everything was taken care of, from transportation to the excursions. The food at the hotel was delicious, and the drinks were fantastic. Our room was perfect, offering a beautiful view of the river, and each morning we were greeted by the soothing sounds of birds. We even spotted iguanas and monkeys around the property!||The Maya ruins and cave tubing excursion were amazing. Orlin was a fantastic guide, keeping us engaged all day and treating us to a tasty meal at a local restaurant for lunch.||All in all, our stay at Dream Valley was unforgettable. We’d definitely return!
