Dreamboat Hostel

Great hostel. Good location in the centre of town, close to restraints and boats. Staff were super social and welcoming, beds were comfortable and showers were hot. They have a good menu which is reasonably priced too. Had loads of fun staying here.

Amazing and fun party hostel with secluded little day beds and a TV room to relax the day after a big night. Bonus, is the bar shuts at 10pm and the staff take everyone to another bar so if you want to actually have a rest night, you can. They offer a tonne of activities like Sunday family dinner, paddle boarding and a local waterfall hike, but the vibe and energy is so great around the pool it’s hard to leave the hostel. They recently started offering free breakfast, which is delicious (with multiple options). Stayed on multiple occasions and always felt welcomed by the owners and staff. Such a fun time, with a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Panahechal is a great place to base from. Nice tourist centre and local outskirts, and Dreamboat is close to the water if you want a boat trip. Friendly crowd every time I’ve been too. I think the best part of travelling is meeting people from around the world, and Dreamboat is full of em. The bathrooms are nice, beds are comfy, roommates are quiet, food is great. Partying is common, but there are mice couches to chill on if it’s not ur vibe. Probably the best hostel at the lake There’s a pool and sweet rooftop too with great views, tallest building in the area :)

Live love dreamboat. One of my favorite hostels I’ve ever stayed at. All of the volunteers are so kind and make sure you have an amazing time. Colby, mel, and sydney made sure I felt so welcome. Food and drinks are amazing and the rooms are so nice. Comfy beds, good people, and amazing vibes! Cannot say enough good things about this place. Will definitely be returning.

Great location and phenomenal staff/activities. Regretted not being able to stay longer! Only complaint would be room cleanliness, as per other reviews down here. Sheets had blood/ a lot of hair in them … first room had hundreds of ants! Switched to another room, which was fine but generally seemed like it had not been cleaned.

This is definitely a party hostal. I would not stay here again. Pro: location was good near docks and principal street, and nice breakfast. Hot water in shower and free filtered water, friendly staff. Con: beds/matress are uncomfortable, rooms really small with no ventilation, it got hot and stuffy, no curtains for beds in dorms, sheets were itchy, loud EDM music from 8am to 10pm, bad WiFi. Rooms facing the street you get a lot of street noise.

Incredible hostel, one of my favorites in Guatemala! Very lively atmosphere, with an incredible staff. Highly recommend staying here if you are coming to the lake!

had the best time ever here!!!! the staff is so lovely. Mel, Colby, Sydney, Peter and Leon are the best !!!! Drinks and food are delicious. They gave us recommendations and made sure we had the most fun time ever for our trip to the lake!!! Definitely stay here <3
