Dreamboat Hostel

Have been travelling for a year and this is my favourite hostel I’ve stayed in! From the moment I arrived Mitch made me feel so welcome!! The vibe of the hostel was so fun and all the volunteers were amazing at making it such a fun and inclusive environment. The hostel organised two day outings when I was there, we went to the hot springs and to the national park and it was so fun! It’s certainly a party hostel though and the partying was so fun!!!

Such a fun spot. Comfy rooms, great location, and fantastic staff. They make a very fun atmosphere and it felt super inclusive. And the rooftop pool is amazing!

The stay was okay overall, but there were a few major downsides. The shower was terrible and there was no hot water, which was really disappointing. There was also no air conditioning, making the room quite uncomfortable at times. On the positive side, it’s a very social hostel with lots of opportunities to meet people – though that also means it can get quite loud, especially at night.

Definitely a party hostel, it's a great vibe for those looking to party and socialize. Facilities are nice, the room was great, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. For those looking to rest at night please read the below. Quiet hour starts at 10pm, it doesn't necessarily means it will be quiet from then until on. Hallways echo a lot and many visitors will be out in the hallways talking from 12am to as early as 3-4am, which can be hard for those trying to rest. Recommended for the partiers, hard to get some good rest there.

I haven’t stayed in this hostel, but now I definitely wouldn’t knowing that the guests pee in their beds. The owner himself commented this on instagram, and when I said it’s an anti-ad for his hostel, he said I’m the type of guest who whines about “every little thing.” Judge for yourself.

My friend and I had a private room that was clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing. It’s a party hotel but also so peaceful, there was a curfew at 10 so if you wanted sleep you got it but if you wanted to party they ushered you to a bar. Overall wonderful experience

Great hostel great staff and volunteers. One of the most welcoming hostels I’ve been too. Everyone is very outgoing and friendly. Even if you aren’t staying there highly recommended checking out any of the nightly or daily activities. Karaoke is a blast. The cheese burger and pulled pork are also bomb. 👍

Pros: great location, hostel was clean in general, hot water for showers, lockers, some staff were good, kitchen is well equipped (albeit small!), social between the guests, lots of chill out areas too! Overall did enjoy my stay. Cons: it felt that there was way more staff than guests which made it feel very cliquey, lots of boasting of drinking/other stuff, the bar also closes at 10pm and you’re not allowed to hang out on the rooftop, bed imo were uncomfortable too.
