Think about have a continuous drag show. The start and stopping really screws with the positive vibes and the buzz. Like this, does Beyonce have the downtown that this show does. Lots of negative downtown.......why is there a 25% gratuity because service was not superb.....had it my been my friends birthday I would have brought that to someone attention. This place did not live up to the hype.....even the general manager walked through for 20mins to boost energy and the downtown worked against that......prove me wrong if you think I'm being dramatic ladies.

Yelp
No complaints. We had a fantastic stay at this hip hotel. We were met with the most welcoming and professional doormen upon our arrival. They became friendly, familiar faces for us during our entire stay. Check in was a breeze and staff hospitable and helpful. The Mariah Carey bar is so cool and another great first impression. Our room was clean and designed beautifully. Every lighting detail, comfortable amenities, yoga mat, room design with privacy doors, single blackout shade, etc., etc., made our stay dreamy. Loved all the dishes that came from their kitchen, too, and the gym had all the basics for a full workout.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped in here by chance as we walked around looking for a place to get happy hour before a concert at Smoothie King Center. Most places were closed. We were greeted kindly at the door and told that HH was at the rooftop bar. This was not correct, no HH. However, it was very picturesque up there and nicely decorated. You could see the city and there is a pool. Back downstairs is a lovely restaurant so we decided to stay. It's beautiful inside and very comfortable. I love the atmosphere. It could be romantic for two, classy for business or just fun for friends. Staff was great. Service was slower than I'm used to but it wasn't too bad. We ordered drinks, brussel sprouts, sweet potato hash, and artichoke dip. The dip came with toasted bread and was good. The hash wasn't what I expected and I wouldn't order it again but it was fresh. The Brussels were the bomb!! It's on the expensive side but was a beautiful experience that relaxed us after work and fueled us for our concert.

Yelp
I'm not a hotel brand loyalist, but Virgin has inched it's way into my top hotels. Virgin Nola is my third Virgin Hotel stay (*waves at NY and LV*) and has by far the BEST customer service. From the doormen, to the lobby staff, to the bartender everyone was superb. You can't walk anywhere in the hotel without a friendly smile and a "how are you, do you need anything"? I changed my reservation a few days before, via phone, due to needing double beds vs a king. Easy peasy! Forgot something at home? They have it. Not sure where to go for a late night snack? *lists the best of the best* 20 mins from the airport and a quick walk to Canal St. Love it! Cleanliness is on the same level of the NY location. There are a few areas that are a little dated, but overall the hotel is charming. I loved the rotating cocktail specials for KNOW happy hour. Virgin Nola was walking distance to all of my pre-scheduled events and reservations. A special treat was the Bayou Classic parade passing by less than a block away. I've stayed in two other hotel brands during Nola visits, but this will probably be my go-to for future visits. FYI - get the suite. Worth it!

Yelp
Although there were a few minor inconveniences we really enjoyed our stay overall. Let's start with the good! -Room was very nice and clean, and is a newer hotel -Great location for us, we wanted to stay away from the French quarter but still in walking distance (15 minutes or so) -Location felt safe when walking around late at night -staff was nice and attentive -free drinks in the bar if you join the free rewards club, and they also gave us 2 bottles of water and 2 bags of Zapps chips in the room What could've been better - the parking was Valet only ($55 a day), so during busy times it could take 20 minutes or more to get your car. There was self no parking garage. - if you didn't leave the hotel by 1pm each day they will charge you an extra $25 a day parking ( this rule made no sense to me, however we had no problem sticking to it since we had a lot planned. - the air/heat does not turn off ever. There is no option to turn it off, it blows all day and night and the heat never really worked well to hear up the room, It was pretty cold the first night we were there. - the restaurant food was not good. We ate breakfast the very first day and they didn't have enough silverware and the food was just not good. The dinner menu was very blah and nothing about it seemed "New Orleans" it appears it was recently changed. We didn't get a chance to see the pool but I do know if you lose your wristband it's$20 to replace. Overall the good outweighed the bad for us, and I just know next time I'd not rent a car, and would avoid the restaurant food. I think the heat issue could have been due to the time of year, maybe they hadn't actually turned it on yet. I hope they can adjust things to make the fan able to turn off as that was the thing that bothered us the most.

Yelp
Super cute Holiday Pop Up event that we really enjoyed. Lovely festive decor, tapas and holiday inspired cocktails!

Yelp
Went with a group of ladies for Mariah Carey's Black Irish Holiday Popup Bar. It was so cute! Lots of photo ops and cute cocktails, and they also had mocktails for the sober folks. Definitely a cute stop for Christmas festivities!

Yelp
Terrible Experience - Avoid This Hotel! I had to put 5 stars so you can all see this! I was OVERCHARGED for my stay which is unacceptable. Please be advised that additional charges were made AFTER checkout with no permission. I spent 30 minutes on hold trying get a hold of a manager to resolve the issue, and was simply told to call my bank, with little effort from the hotel staff to take responsibility or help fix the problem. All they had to do was split the payment on two cards initially.. which they failed to do. A week later, I see multiple pending charges.. why are my debit cards/ finances still accessible AFTER checkout? On top of that, the rooftop amenity was not available to all guests, despite being advertised otherwise. To make matters worse, the security guard, Bob, was incredibly rude and unprofessional, making the experience even more unpleasant. The final straw was unauthorized charges on my debit card, which left me feeling scammed and frustrated. This hotel clearly lacks accountability and decent customer service. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. It's a huge hassle! I was told to call the bank, when the discrepancy is for the hotel to correct!

Yelp
This hotel is next level! I stayed for just one night during the week for a work trip and I didn't want to leave. As soon as you enter the hotel you're immediately pulled into the ambiance of the lobby and lounge area. It's so nicely decorated and very unique. I didn't get to check out the rooftop bar, which I heard is amazing. Unfortunately it closed at 10pm and I got back to the hotel at about 10:11pm. I was bummed, but understood. Now my room!!! The cutest hotel room I've ever seen. They did a great job making a smaller space feel so big and the automatic lights are super fun. I love the room decor and the window seat with the view. Very nice hotel and helpful staff! They even delivered my late night door dash order up to my room. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Wow. My stay here last weekend exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a fun, hip, upbeat boutique hotel to stay at and was eyeing nearby Ace Hotel where I've experienced in different locations but then Virgin caught my eye. Customer service is paramount here and I could tell even pre-arrival when I was contacted via text and asked for arrival ETA so they could prepare. Any question I had in the days prior was promptly answered, and conveniently given that text service. Upon arrival, this entire staff completely set the tone for me. From the absolutely friendly guys at the door warmly greeting and helping me to the front desk staff, who were always so sweet no matter what time of day or how many guests happened to be crowded around the desk. Prime location. The entire premises is just so delightful. From The Commons (bar and restaurant) and Funny Library (area near the front for coffee/quick bites but early in the morning proper breakfast dishes are also cooked to order) where everything I ordered drink or food was great to the 13th floor pool area, which was great both during day/night. The rooms...oh the rooms. The "Chamber" setup really spoke to me. Double doors leading into the space room really gave it a luxe feel and little things like the BIG, legitimate vanity area, complete with the best lighting I have ever seen in a hotel via their LCD light, made getting ready every night that much more exciting...(ladies, if you know you know!) Couldn't be happier I chose Virgin NOLA for this stay! Special shout out to Sanaa at the front desk who was especially sweet to me and really personalized the experience with me via local and tour recommendations. The ones I was able to hit were spot on with what I was seeking so thank you for that and everything else with my stay!

Yelp
This hotel is a dream and even better than expected. Upon arrival you are greeted by the door staff - they are all kind and helpful. Upon walking in you are introduced to the beautiful decor that is just creative and exciting! The lobby is next to the Funny Library coffee shop which is next to the Commons Club Bar & Restaurant. The coffee shop was a popular gathering spot. We visited the bar/restaurant each day for breakfast and ended our stay with dinner on the final night. Delicious food and friendly service. It was fun to talk with the bar staff. Our favorite amenity was the rooftop pool and bar. Although we did not swim, we enjoyed the large wraparound rooftop patio and made sure to enjoy a frozen French 75 each day of our stay as well. We were hooked! The room was perfect. I loved the tucked-away shower and the smells of the Les Bois products designed for Virgin Hotels. The doors between the bathroom/vanity area and the bedroom made this feel unique and livable. We loved the comfy bed and the room controls on the TV. With the remote, you can set mood lighting, play music, and more. We enjoyed sitting at the table by the window each day. It was a quiet stay without much city noise due to the street it was located on. We got our steps in as we walked everywhere we could from the hotel. I loved this location - close enough to the action, but far away to feel relaxed. This hotel makes luxury fun!

Yelp
Oh my gosh!!! The room was beautiful. The hotel was gorgeous. Trey the door man was amazing. 100% will be staying here in the future. Didn't get a chance to check out the pool or the commons club but we did order food and it was amazing. Boyfriend and I stayed for the Eagles vs Saints game (go birds) and our early anniversary celebration trip. They made it so special! 10/10 will be back.

Yelp
Picked this hotel to stay in this weekend for my birthday. Very pleased with the selection as I've never been to New Orleans before. This hotel gives boutique hotel vibes. There are so many areas around the hotel to sip, lounge, eat, grab a cocktail Or mocktail, hit up the pool on the 13th floor, etc. We picked a king city view room to book. They provide two complimentary water bottles in the room for you along with two bags of chips. There is a mini bar with extra snacks and drinks for purchase in the room. I love that the room is separate from the toilet, shower, sink, and make up table. If you needed privacy, this is the perfect room to book. The city view area has outlets to charge your phone or smart device while hanging out by the open window. This would also make for a cute wfh space if need be. The room also has a small card game and light reading options. I can hear the neighbors a little bit but the walls do not seem too thin here at all. We are staying on the 12th floor, so almost the top floor where the pool is. If we had any gripes, they are small and not worth mentioning to the downstairs rep. We do sink in the bed ever so slightly, and our flatscreen tv seems to be a bit off, but again, these are small. The bed is comfortable despite the small dip, the room is very clean, and there are no weird smells or anything. Total I will be here 3 nights and I'm happy with the selection! Would recommend staying here either as a lone traveler, with a partner, or with friends. The rooms and hotel accommodate any travel situation quite well.

Yelp
Very cutesy. I went up to the rooftop pool and bar area. It's very nice up there. There's plenty of tables and couches to kind of tuck away with your crew. There was a full bar with a full cocktail and wine list, as well as a full kitchen menu. I ordered a few drinks and shared wings and fries with friends. The pool is small but it does what needs to be done on a hot day! It was a Monday, so I imagine the weekends it gets crowded up there. Would recommend. Would return!

Yelp
Worst hotel experience ever. My wife got extremely ill after eating the room service shrimp and the hotel was not accommodating or helpful. They denied any responsibility and the food and beverage manager Jesse Rojars refused to let me speak with the general manager. My wife has never had any issues with shrimp and it appeared their dish was unfortunately old or undercooked or both. Rooms were cramped as well which made it hard for my wife who was vomiting with diarrhea all night long. We had to move to another hotel and extend our stay due to the poor management of the restaurant. Terrible experience. Avoid at all costs. The rest of the staff is great but Jesse and his manager who refused to speak with me make it a really bad experience.

Yelp
I usually do not write bad reviews.. but in this case I cannot avoid it... I travel a lot for work and pleasure and this was the first time something like this happened.... A cashmere new scarf (Xmas gift) and a flat iron disappeared from my suitcase.... So please very careful! when I tried to call and send emails to inform them, the customer service was just the worst... I would personally NOT recommend to go!

Yelp
Virgin Hotel New Orleans. This review is for the cool lobby bar and library. After Var Marilou was a disappointment husband and I decided to walk over to the Virgin Hotel and have a drink or two. This hotel is 2 cool to not go to. We were greeted by a smiling door person and then the lobby/library took us into its spell of magical beauty. The bar was quiet as it was early but the bar and bartender were welcoming. Go for the drinks . Go for the decor but GO.

Yelp
The decor here is truly stunning, with vintage touches at every corner complemented by modern accents. I had the Rosewood 75, which was enjoyable. The bartender seemed a bit upset & not very friendly but it might have been due to the busy night. I'd love to return on a quieter evening to fully appreciate the atmosphere and hopefully experience a more personal touch in the service.

Yelp
So tonight we went to the Mariah Carey experience and it was so underwhelming. No personality and didn't have Mariah's music playing. It was just people sitting around and looking at each other. The host was so rude and not jolly at all. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Yelp
Please note that this review is only for the rooftop. My colleague in the area recommended it to me after we met up at a nearby restaurant. My flight was leaving in a couple of hours and I had time to kill. And she had me at rooftop views, so I said why not?? The last time I was in New Orleans, I don't think the Virgin Hotel was there. And seeing as the oldest review is from 2021, that makes total sense... as I was last in the city in 2019. I headed in and was immediately intrigued by the library vibes it was giving off. I didn't see any elevators in sight, so I asked the lady at the desk about the rooftop. She pointed to where the elevators are and I found them easily. As soon as I stepped off the elevator, I could immediately tell it was a vibe. The music was on point, and the decor right outside the elevator is really nice! They had a DJ spinning tunes, and plenty of seats were open to get the best of rooftop views. The small pool was a nice bonus too -- such a relaxing atmosphere. Signs were rather strict regarding being in the pool (having to shower, etc.)... I saw a couple people jump in, others dipped their feet in. I could've sat out there all day, and quite frankly I was devastated when it was time to go to the airport. When i return to NOLA, I will definitely look into staying there. Can't wait until that time comes!

Yelp
We had high expectations when coming here based on the reviews and photos. The customer service was excellent and our room was cute and functional. One of my gripes is the $27 daily resort fee which basically covers internet which most people already have and phone calls in your room which no one needs because we all have our own phones. I also wish the staff would have told us about joining their Virgin red club for the perks. However everything else was on par and they were sweet and accommodating.
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
We were booked in this hotel through a surprise vacation package. Many of the amenities are not available to guest as they're most often reserved for private events. The safe in our room did not work that was fixed the second day. The phone did not work, that never got fixed. NOTHING is complementary. For the most part staff is friendly but can be a bit dismissive. Overall, it hasn't been a bad stay but it isn't somewhere I would recommend nor will we return for a second visit.

Maureen E.

Yelp
Nice location , good service, but very overpriced and there are up charges for everything.

Yelp
Wow-- that's the best way to describe this property! I had the absolute pleasure of spending an extended weekend at this hotel! Let's first start with the staff. From the time we stepped out of the car, to the time we checked out, I felt like the majority of the staff took pride in doing their job. I really feel that working in hospitality should mean that you love people and more importantly value providing good customer service. I say the majority of the staff, because there was one gentleman that worked the coffee bar at the cashier that seemed to be slightly agitated with the crowd. However, I am not going to let one bad apple ruin the overall customer service received. As it relates to the room- it was giving boutique for sure! The decor was amazing! The bed was like no other I have ever seen. The room had multiple sinks, a wet bar, a fridge. A separated shower! I mean the room was A+++. I honestly can't think of any suggestions that would make it better. Amenities: I would be writing this review forever if I spoke about every amenity offered at this hotel. The rooftop pool is a complete vibe, the funny library coffee shop is cute and instagram worthy, the Common club ( the bar and restaurant) is aesthetically pleasing Honestly- I mean it's just a great place to stay. Everything about it is a win. Location: the hotel is located in the cities Warehouse district. I loved not being in the French quarter, yet close enough to walk to any place we were interested in. If you do not want to rent a car, this hotel location is ideal. Age of hotel: according to a quick google search, this hotel opened in 2021! An additional fun fact is that it was previously The Hard Rock hotel from 1995 to 2020. I would pick this hotel a thousand times over and look forward to staying at locations in other cities! I hope that if you decide to check it out you love it as much as I did!

Yelp
Best hotel in NOLA? Possibly. I like it better than the Ritz Carlton- nicer rooms, equal service and much cooler. This was my first ever Virgin experience- never before on Sir Richard's airplanes, hotels or spaceships. Sir Richard runs a nice biz. Service is a little strange as some like the door man are a little too happy to see ya and lady bartender doesn't want you there as she is too cool. Rooms are nice sorta Rock n Roll meets 1970s. All very clean and nice. Rooftop pool bar is really nice. Same with Lobby bar. Most of the staff are great. A few on staff are the too cool types and management should sort them out if they wanna be #1, as you don't get that in the ritz. Cheers!

Yelp
I got married here in the Sandbox Room on March 9th, 2024 and it was the best decision I could've made when it comes to wedding venues. I looked LONG AND HARD in the city for a smaller intimate wedding venue and nothing really checked all my requirement boxes... until I had the bright idea of emailing right across the street to the Virgin Hotel. I live directly across the street from this hotel and I come over here a lot for coffee so I decided to reach out to see what type of packages they may have. I ended up getting in contact with the catering/event manager Jade Fleury - she was an absolute angel from start to finish. With her help and the hotel's beauty - my wedding was simply amazing. It was only a 40 person guest list, half from out of town, half locals, and we had a wedding second line from the hotel to the reception site, which was about a mile away. All of the stress and worry about the perfect venue for my wedding disappeared once I signed the contract with The Virgin. I highly recommend for any future brides!!! Totally a great choice!!

Yelp
Wanted to love this hotel - and many things are great. Fundamentally though, quiet peaceful sleep is just one of those things that define a good hotel . The floor to ceiling AC intake and constantly loud blowing register, 3 feet from the head of the bed ensured I received hardly any sleep. Even with the ac is switched off, the register still blows air. I can't upload a sound file here, but this is aircraft hanger wind tunnel loud. Insane. When I mentioned this to the front desk, their explanation was that building and HVAC system is really old. Virgin - I can't sleep in your trendy lobby - invest less in this and overhaul your HVAC system. Fortunately this was a one night stay with 80 decibel noise. I do not recommend staying here.

Yelp
I had an amazing stay at Virgin Hotels Nola. The hotel itself is beautiful, with every amenity you can think of. But, most importantly, the staff is awesome! In my hurry to head out, I left my laptop in my room -- which I didn't realize until I got to the airport. After promptly calling the staff, they gave me clear directions about what I needed to do and shipped out my computer the next day. They even sent me all my tracking confirmation info. This was really going above and beyond and I will certainly make sure to stay here during my next trip! Michael and Monica were particularly helpful, but everyone was great!

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay at Virgin Hotel NOLA. The lobby is beautiful and uniquely decorated. The rooms are cute and trendy. Staff is friendly. They have fun events like a special brunch with entertainment, comedy features, and special guests on the roof. There is a small pool on the 13th floor. There are areas to sit and relax near the pool. Room service and commons club offers delicious food. There is a coffee shop in the lobby. There is a fitness center on the 3rd floor. Would definitely return!

Yelp
-Great Staff who made it a wonderful experience. -Location, location, location close to Riverwalk Oulet, Canal/Bourbon Streets and Mercedes Superdome along with great restaurants along the way. -Clean we didn't need to use the amenities that we normally bring with us even for high end 4-5 star $300+ per night rooms

Yelp
I don't know about the rooms but the bar sucks! If u like waiting for an hour between drinks this is the place for you!

Yelp
We love love this hotel ! Everyone has been so nice and this place is beautiful. Location is great for us ! They have a pool , a roof top , gym and more . We are going to try their restaurant before we leave !

Yelp
This was a very pleasant stay. The rooms were very nice and the housekeepers kept everything nice. The staff was very friendly, especially Tim the bellman, who addressed us by name the whole time and had lots of great recommendations for local points of interest. The pool closed at 7 which was too early, and some of the lights in our room did not work and they never got around to fixing them. Even so, I really enjoyed my time here and would stay again.

Yelp
Great hip place to stay, just far enough from French quarter about 6 blocks walk (it's too rowdy there), great service, breakfast and rooftop bar. The people work hard here, the breakfast was high quality, ate there 3 mornings, , the beignets came with jam and the best we have tried of the 2 places at the French quarter, better then cafe du monde and the other popular cafe there (too hard, threw them away). Virgins were soft, way less oily, and quality sugar. The homemade granola had honey in it, the egg sandwich was huge and fresh. The rooftop bar was hip and we tried the mocktails. Great crowd. The young front desk guy with short hair, very professional and nice. Only one item is that the fan system in the room does not turn off, they explained it's constant air filtering, good thing I brought earplugs, they give them out too.

Yelp
Stayed at the hotel for a few days - great location with very friendly staffs. The rooms are nicely decorated and provided a comfortable stay. The restaurant server was very good at recommending what to try, and it didn't disappoint.

Robyn M.

Yelp
I selected the Virgin New Orleans for a company retreat, and it was a GREAT decision. The staff and service were top-notch. Everyone loved the rooms, and the overall hotel aesthetic was a great boho, eclectic, fun mash-up. Big shout out to Ryan, who helped us out at the last minute, and the catering team, who prepared and served good lunches and snacks! I highly recommend the hotel and hope to return soon!

Yelp
I came to NOLA for a conference and my roommate from college had booked this hotel for us. Wow! What an amazing surprise! I loved everything about this hotel from the funky eclectic lobby, to the spacious rooms with the shower separated from the toilet (GREAT for people sharing a room). Another especially great thing about the room is that you can close the doors separating the sleeping area from the bathroom/shower so if someone wants to get ready earlier, it doesn't disturb the person sleeping in. They even had an umbrella in the room for guests. An essential for anyone visiting New Orleans. Everyone who worked there, from the front desk to the people working the breakfast counter, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast food was REALLY good as well. It was very easy to get an Uber there even when the Saints were playing and the neighborhood was very centrally located and you are walking distance to the French Quarter and SO many amazing restaurants. This will now be my go-to hotel for NOLA visits.

Yelp
Enjoyed a visit to Virgin's rooftop bar The Pool Club, which is open to the public. Virgin Hotel staff was gracious in letting me know how to get up to the Club. Bar staff was training a new employee in the ways of making drinks, and I enjoyed the tutorial, myself! The Pool Club is hip, and there are plenty of different seating areas to post up, from the loungers by the red at night pool, to areas overlooking New Orleans' Central Business District lights. And while rooftop bars like these can be listed as a separate business, I'll leave that up to the locals. Highly recommend a visit!

Yelp
This is a lovely hotel for its facilities. Rooms are lovely and well thought out. I would give 4 stars apart from one glaring issue - Service. 1. The front of staff at the restaurant is missing most of the time and when she is there, she is talking to her friends, with long lines of guests waiting to be served. 2. Some of the wait staff are great and professional. Others are careless and disengaged . They drop food off and omit plates and cutlery and need to be chased down. 3. Bar staff are overwhelmed. We spent 4 nights here. There will not be a fifth.

Yelp
This is a really cool and well-designed hotel with one major flaw. I took advantage of an amazing summer rate. The hotel is charming and hip and I love that the toilet room and shower are separated from the actual bedroom. The bed is also very comfortable, and the design of the room is just lovely. It's quiet. I heard literally no noise. Everyone was very friendly. Someone is even there to open the door every time you leave. The rooftop is very pretty, although realistically the pool is too small to swim in. It's more of a vibe. The restaurant was quite good. It's also in a good walkable location. I felt safe walking around at night. However, it is kind of in between the major locations. I found myself walking a bit no matter where I was going. But all of this really didn't matter. I would have given the hotel 5 stars. But the major flaw is the temperature. I don't know if it's just the season. Obviously, there is a lot of humidity in the summer. But I found myself continuously cold AND clammy, and nothing could really solve the issue. I either wrapped myself in blankets and then felt hot or felt like I was in a cold and wet room. I asked for a dehumidifier, but the hotel didn't have one. It's really such a shame, and maybe it's not an issue in cooler months. But for me this made the otherwise lovely room quite unpleasant.

Yelp
Virgin is after my own heart. From the luxurious, floral fragance that lifts you gently by the nostrils and floats you inside the entry way to sweetie pie Mike, the bouncer (?), who warmly chatted with me at the entry of their rooftop pool bar, Pool Club. For Juneteenth, Virgin partnered with Support Black Art and Renee Royale for an epic day party with the illustrious DJ's Funké and Ngoma Numu. Our server Sofia, was a true delight. I wish I'd gotten my bartender's name, a cutie with Marley twists who kept my sparkling waters coming. They were lovely! Between the good tunes, the good people, and the 180 degree view of New Orleans, we were set. There was ample seating for VIP and VRP (very regular people) alike. If you're an influencer or just enjoy the beauty that is your own image, almost every wall of Virgin was curated with social media in mind. So many good backdrops to choose from!

Yelp
Excellent, Top-Notch Customer Service from the entire Staff, especially Maid Services (Mari Costa, Josh Landry, Ondina, & Fatima), along with delicious Caramel Macchiattos (With Oat Milk) from Staff whom works at the 'Funny Library Cafe' by the name 'Boo.' Also, this Boutique Hotel is Unique, filled with pictures of Musicians throughout the decades, and local Art. The Greeting Staff at the Front Desk are friendly and kind as well. Restaurant Waiter Johnathan is also incredibly on top of everything with thorough service delivering the special "Prince Brunch" food. 5 Stars!

Yelp
Went to hotel specifically for the roof top bar. Most seating is available for rent only. Only had 4 tables not for rent but being a pool bar people park their ass there for hours. Wasted trip. Won't return.

Yelp
I went and checked out The Pool Club at the Virgin Hotels, which is their poolside and rooftop bar! I really enjoyed the cocktail I got--The Mai Gai was delicious! It was such a nice day and the bar had a great view. Would definitely come check this bar out with friends--you don't need to be a guest of the hotel!

Yelp
This recaps my recent horrendous experience at Virgin Hotel, New Orleans. It started at check-in: the desk clerk sent me to wrong room 3x and acted as if it was my fault. He then sent the building engineer to meet me, who also couldn't access via key card, so he used master key to open the door - only to let me into an already occupied room! When I complained, I was told somebody would get back to me shortly; it never happened. The next day, upon returning to my room, I discovered my laundry was missing. I was informed housekeeping "threw it away" thinking it was garbage. I immediately complained and again was treated as if my fault. A manager told me they would remedy the situation; it never happened. A week after my check out, somebody finally called me back and made promises that potentially would resolve. However, it was an illusion; they never followed through on their own promises. When I contacted the manager to try to find out where we were in the process, I was totally ghosted. Thank goodness I booked through Hotel Tonight because they have released from my prepaid stay at the hotel next month over Christmas. HO, HO, HO! Now I am free to stay anywhere I would like. Well, I once preferred the Virgin Hotel, but now I will not even consider going in there again ever. I will recommend to all of my business associates and contacts that they avoid the hotel unless they are a glutton for punishment and disrespect and customer disservice! If I could give less than a one-star, I would. They earned it! Finally, I will be filing a small claims complaint to recover for my loss. See you in court!

Yelp
Picked this hotel to be close to the festivities but not so close that you won't be able to get sleep. Loved this hotel from the very moment we got there. The "bell hop" I nicknamed Babyface was extremely helpful with unloading the car and getting the bags up to our room. You never felt pressured to tip which was nice but I did anyway. The rooms are a bit unique from your standard hotels and gives it a lot of character. Only knock I have against the hotel is the valet parking which is probably the most expensive in NOLA at $48 overnight. You're better off parking yourself at one of the nearby lots.

Yelp
Such a trendy hotel and nicely decorated restaurants, roof top, and private space named "The Dream Boat"! We decided on brunch in The Commons Club area downstairs, with also has outdoor seating. It was such a perfect day to be seated outdoors and enjoying good food, nice scenery and great conversations. We ordered À la Carte with combinations of grits, eggs, toast, and a Gem Shrimp Salad for the table. My friend ordered a Bloody Mary(she mentioned she's had better). I had coffee and a chamomile, citrus hot tea. The food was tasty, served hot. Our server Dante, was attentive and personable. I'm definitely circling back to enjoy the upstairs (poolside) during the summer months and night time vibes.

Yelp
I was extremely disappointed with the service at this hotel. My sister and I visited here and booked our reservation in advance via AMEX because I had a credit. When I called the front desk to make 100% sure my sister's name was on the reservation as she was arriving slightly before me, they first said they had no reservation, then said they had an Expedia reservation for me. It was important that I had an AMEX reservation because of my credit but they couldn't seem to get up to speed. I later rcv'd a text and 2 emails asking if I needed to add anyone other than myself to the room which I thought was already taken care of via AMEX and my front desk call. I gave up and repeatedly added my sister to the reservation. My sister is a recovering alcoholic so I requested that all alcohol be removed from the room in advance of our arrival. I was told they were assessing me a $40 charge for removing alcohol which I thought was ridiculous but said okay. When we arrived at 8 pm to the hotel, there were bottles and bottles of alcohol on display in our room. We tried to go to the pool several times during our stay but the pool was overrun with locals who told us that the hotel charges locals a rate to use the pool. The pool is tiny and the hotel shouldn't advertise a pool if it paying hotel guests are unable to use it because they are making money off local use. Finally, I requested a 2pm checkout when I made the reservation, again when I checked in, and again the evening before check out. I was assured we were approved for a 2pm check out. We then received a notice we must check out by noon and our key cards were deactivated with our belongings still in the room. I found the service at this hotel disorganized, poorly run, and it did not live up to the standard described when we made the reservation.

Yelp
Their greatest asset is the front desk area! I am a local and stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The people at the front door and front desk met us at checkin like we were long lost family. Dring our stay they remembered our names and engaged us in light conversation. This is the soul of New Orleans and they seem to have it perfected. As expected, the rooms were great and the staff was responsive to needs. However, that front desk personnel and the door men is what will bring me back. I believe her name was precious and I even stopped the manager in the elevator to pass on my compliments!

Yelp
I'll update shortly, but I LOVE EVERYTHING here. From Boo at the coffee counter to the loo. I've stayed in 20-30 hotels in NOLA, from the Ritz to boutique. This is now my favourite. Updated full review: Love, love, love, love, LOVE! I've stayed at countless hotels in NOLA. From the Ritz to boutiques... Virgin Hotel is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in, in New Orleans. Period. It's beautiful, unique, super *clean*, and has some of the friendliest employees EVER (which believe me, this is not always the case in NOLA). For an often solo traveler, I'm rather quiet and introverted (and being English, admittedly awkward at times), but from the fabulous barista "Boo" who made me feel welcomed and comfortable as soon as I arrived, to the gorgeous late night door woman who was all smiles...even the check in was warm and friendly. They were even texting me before arrival to see if i needed anything. I'm never staying anywhere else in NOLA. The rooms are magnificent, clean, elegant yet modern, and you want for nothing. They had me at the Smeg fridge. I don't drink (I wish I did sometimes) and I'm not one for snacking - but there's even Veuve in the fridge. Absolute class! Yes, it is very much a party hotel, everyone seems to be having a fabulous time (it's New Orleans), but the walls are so well insulated that I didn't realise there was a party going on in the room next door to me, until I went into the hall to go out. I heard nothing. And yes, the hotel is safe. Bed is soooo comfortable. Not too hard, not too soft. And the shower....lush! Robes are plush, plenty of towels, its all just perfect. I wish this had been around a decade ago during Tulane breaks, but I'm chuffed to bits they're here now. Love, love, love. LOVE it here. Laissez le bon temps rouler!
