I had an amazing stay at The Dreamer Hostel in Santa Marta! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with recommendations or anything I needed. The hostel itself is a little oasis – a beautiful pool, plenty of hammocks, and a great bar/restaurant serving delicious food at reasonable prices. The social vibe is perfect, whether you want to meet fellow travelers or just chill by the pool with a drink. They also organize fun activities, making it easy to connect with others. The dorms and private rooms are clean and comfortable, with good AC (a must in Santa Marta’s heat!). Plus, the location is convenient – close to transportation options for Tayrona National Park, Minca, and Palomino. If you’re looking for a place to relax, have fun, and meet great people, The Dreamer is definitely the best hostel in Santa Marta. Highly recommend!

I've been to over 40 countries and this is the second worst place I've stayed at. I paid for two nights and left after one night because of the rude staff waking me up at 6:30. They wouldn't give me a refund for the night I didn't stay. The bed was rock hard. I actually slept on the couch in my room. No A/C a ceiling fan with only one speed. Turbo speed. Fan was very loud. This is way overpriced for what you get. Don't stay here It's a 20 minute drive to the main part of the city.

one of the best places in santa marta without a doubt. The location is in a very quiet area of the city, very close to pharmacies and local food restaurants also the shopping center, to go to minca the vans station is very close. And many local buses pass very close. The place itself is the best of the best good food good pool good attention is great and everyone with a very nice charisma. One of the best places in all of Santa Marta. Highly recommended.

I got sick during my trip, and Miss Rosemary (a lady that works here) helped me to the clinic and stayed there with me. Connie and Andres never made me feel alone. In fact, they were readily available and they always cared for my needs, genuinely. I traveled alone, but the personnel never made it feel that way. I will never forget my Santa Marta Dreamer little family.

Super comfortable stay. Very safe with a beautiful pool in the midst of a mango grove. Close to supermarkets and transport into Parque Tayrona and shuttle to Minca. Best part was the amazing staff. Andrea, Connie and Aniwel at the front desk. Also the staff, Luceres and the other gals! They were all so friendly with a pleasant smile and sincere friendly conversations. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a night as a family in a room of 4 and it was fantastic! The taxi driver on the way over told us that this was a house of drugs and partying. It was completely wrong. It’s very mellow environment with some relaxing music they play at night. There was no loud partying at all and we felt very comfortable here with our children. It’s a great part of town so if you need to regroup to buy things only half mile away.it’s a residential area. There is a basketball court and a great playground right outside for kids as well. All the travelers we met here were younger than us, but they were very nice to talk to. I’m excited we found this place.

We had a lovely time staying at the Dreamer for 3 nights. Our room was comfortable and the air-conditioning worked so well! The hammocks for relaxing in common areas were great too. The location is super close to bus stops to get to Tayrona and Minca, both worth a day trip for sure. If you want to go to the centre you can easily get a taxi and they have a fixed price of $15,000 to get into town. My only suggestion would be to have slightly more utensils and equipment in the kitchen area, but having a kitchen is a real plus!

Stayed here after staying in the Bogota hostel with a special offer. Great hostel with great breakfast options. Advice on tours. It's far from the centre of Santa Marta but it's less than $15,000 in a taxi to the historic centre and you can book via uber
