We participated in a full day tour of White Pocket. This was our second trip with Dreamland Safari Tours. Also, our second trip with senior guide, Andrea Jasper. The company is extremely responsive and well run. Andrea is a superb guide with excellent driving skills, guiding skills, and extensive knowledge about the geology, history, and plants of the area around Kanab. I highly recommend.

So thrilled with our experience with Dreamland Safari Tours. We took 2 of their tours--Buckskin Gulch tour and White Pocket tour. Our guides were exceptional. We felt like friends by the end of our tours. Marjorie took us on a tour to Buckskin Gulch and was an enormous source of information, and her love of the land really added to our whole experience. She went out of her way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment, and always made us feel like it was a personal tour. She brought to light so much that we would've never seen on our own. And always helped with photos, even when we weren't expecting. At White Pockets, Shane was our expert guide. He also added to our whole experience by pointing out details that really added to our appreciation of the land. He always had great photo advice and was so helpful with my hiking abilities. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dreamland Safari Tours. Majorie and Shane made these tours unforgettable. Would love to visit again one day.

We got lucky and got permits to The Wave. Our guide Andrea was fantastic. Andrea easily weighed up the group’s capabilities and catered the hike accordingly. We got to see much more than expected and enjoyed the experience immensely. We passed a few hikers who did not go with a guide who missed out on a few of the highlights as nothing is signposted and there really are not any trails to follow. So, if you do get a permit consider going with Dreamland Safari.

I have had the privilege of visiting multiple slot canyons in the southwest and the guided hike through the Peek-a-boo Slot Canyon with Brent from Dreamland Safari Tours is the best tour that I have ever received in a Slot Canyon. Brent was an absolutely incredible guide! He shared so much amazing information and took wonderful photos and also shared his knowledge of other beautiful places in the Kanab area. I learned so much about the incredible geology and history of the area. It made me appreciate the beauty of the Slot Canyon even more than if I had just walked through it myself. I learned a lot about the fossils that are there and the people who originally lived there. I was most shocked by the impacts that the flash floods create and how much change can happen in such a short period of time. I look forward to bringing others to Peek-a-boo slot Canyon and having them enjoy the same experience with Dreamland Safari Tours.

We randomly entered into Dreamland Safari Tours. But, we got lucky to meet Sarah (I hope got the same correct). She was an excellent person and so helpful. Her patience in explaining this is next level. She not only accommodated our request for the tour with in 20 minutes. Also gave a very good deal for Peekaboo and White waves tour. Within 10 to 15 minutes of booking, the car arrived with the tour guide. Our guide was Andrea she was an excellent driving as well as great tour-guide. She has a lot of patience and showed us each and everything, also she brought water and snacks as well. We could see her passion in showing and explaining each and everything in the canyon. I would highly recommend Dreamland Safari Tours. Thank you once again you are the Best.

Highly recommend! If you are looking for an unforgettable adventure, Dreamland Safari Tours is where it's at! I just spent a remarkable weekend with their crew, being honored with the 2025 Women's Adventure Award. The staff makes you feel welcome and special! And they won permits to the Wave for us! Woot Woot! First off, the Wave itself – EPIC. The vibrant rock formations look like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. You feel like you're walking through a dream, with dancing colors of red, orange, and yellow —nature delivering the most amazing masterpiece. It’s no wonder it's one of the most sought-after hiking destinations in the world! But what really made this trip special was our guide. Andrea is knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about the landscape. She was also quite emboldening when I needed a bit of a push to adventure beyond the Wave. Andrea kept the group moving forward safely while ensuring we all felt supported and encouraged. She not only explained the history, the geology, and all the little hidden gems that make the Wave so unique, but she captured amazing images our crew of beautiful award winners. I bet she has done this hike a hundred times, yet she still spoke with energy and reverence about the landscape and history. As for my fellow 2025 Women's Adventure Award hiking family, they were fantastic! The vibe was so friendly and fun, and you could tell everyone was there to soak in the beauty and share the adventure together. There was so much laughter and camaraderie—it felt like we were all old friends by the end. Dreamland Safari doesn't just show you the sights – they make sure you experience them, with a guide like Andrea making it all the more unforgettable. They’ve got the magic, the people, and the enthusiasm to make it an adventure of a lifetime. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Dreamland for our extraordinary weekend!

Took the Coyote Buttes South with Senior Guide Brett. Next day we took the White Pocket with guide Ben. Both are excellent guides, very knowledgeable. The car was a big, clean, comfortable, well-maintained Toyota that easily overcame all the obstacles. Both are very careful drivers. The Dreamland office is a pleasant place and the staff there are very helpful. The tours exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommended tour company, guides and of course the tours.

Today we did the Peek A Boo tour with Andrea. Perfect day weather wise and Andrea was fantastic! We had a couple extra days in the area due to the north rim being closed. We booked this tour yesterday and we were the only couple on this tour. Karen at the office was very helpful and informative. One of good things about this tour is the small number of people visiting the site. We highly recommend Dreamland Tours and Andrea as a guide. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT TIME!

Yelp
We have used Dreamland 3 times in one year! Hands down the best! The guides are wonderful! The scenery in this area can only be reached by a 4x4 or appropriate vehicle...we like to leave that to the professionals. Thank you Paul and Sonny!

Yelp
Took the peekaboo slot canyon and it was a fantastic experience! Well-run, safe, super interesting and fun! Kieran was our guide--smart, interesting, knowledgeable in a wide range of natural history! He expertly drove us to the canyon through sandy roads, then guided us through the easy hike while explaining the geology. He's also an expert photographer and showed us tips to getting the best photos with our smartphone cameras. He took great group photos, too. He informed us about the Kanab area and the amazing Best Friends animal sanctuary. WE WILL DEFINITELY TAKE TOURS FROM DREAMLAND SAFARI TOURS AGAIN -- AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO, TOO!

Yelp
Had a fantastic trip today visiting Peakaboo canyon. Felt like a VIP experience and everything from the hotel pick up to the detailed explanations and mini geology lessons was much appreciated. Had some fun local insight gossip about Kanab as well so it was an overall very satisfying trip

Yelp
Some friends of ours recommended Dreamland Safaris to us and it seemed like a convenient way to attempt to get Wave permits. We booked a conditional tour with them. With that, they take care of entering the daily lottery for you. If you don't win, you get to pick from a few of their other tours as backup options (like Coyote Buttes South and White Pocket). It's very hard to get a Wave permit, so I figured we'd be doing one of the backup options (both of which require 4WD). I was so excited when I got a text the day before that they won Wave permits for us! We hike a lot and I thought I wouldn't really like a guided hiking tour that much, but I was completely wrong. We asked for Mel since our friends recommended her and she was awesome. It didn't feel overly tour-y, which I appreciated. I loved that she took us to so many other places in addition to the Wave. Had we hiked on our own, we definitely wouldn't have seen as much. We hiked about 7.5 miles total and it felt moderate to us, but obviously that can be different for everyone. The landscape of Coyote Buttes North is incredible. The Wave was even cooler than what I imagined from seeing pictures. It was a fantastic day. We usually don't like tours very much, but this is hands down the best tour we've ever done (and not because of the landscape). Mel did a great job and we will definitely do more of their tours next time we're in Kanab!

Yelp
After not winning the Wave lottery, we took the Dreamland Safari recommendation to try the South Coyote Buttes tour. South Coyote Buttes is amazing, and the tour was Great! Our guide, Maddi, was very friendly and knowledgeable, it was very clear that she knows and loves the area; and was happy to share it with us. We saw many incredible vistas, amazing rocks and rock formations, even dinosaur tracks. We decided on the tour because we didn't have the recommended four-wheel drive, high-clearance vehicle, but soon realized that the real value was in having a great guide in that huge, beautiful area. Thank you Maddi and Dreamland for a great day!

Yelp
Brent was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable about the history and landscape of the area!!

Yelp
Amazing experience with Brie at the front desk and Orion on our winter tour of the wave. Brie and her team really helped us out in securing our permits after we had a pickup issue. We were able to schedule a last minute guided tour to the wave (after we secured our permits) and Orion was early, knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. We had a wonderful and safe trip to the Wave and were also able to check out many other spots. We have a 4x4 rig and are experienced hikers but we were extremely happy to let Orion drive the dreamland suburban and guide us, especially as the road out there was muddy/icy/snowy and is notorious for getting cars in trouble. The trail was great on the way out, but the weather changes extremely quickly and it was wonderful knowing that Orion knew the weather and situation very well for us to make the right calls on where to hike. We had a great experience and learned a lot.

Yelp
Truly a five star operation. Everything from their website and equipment to the wide selection of tours available. This was our second outing with Dreamland and once again they did not disappoint. Easy to deal with and great communication. Our guide, Ian, did a terrific e job engaging and informative everyone. Ian had to draw on his best sand driving skills to navigate around a stick vehicle that shouldn't have tried to make the trip. When the sign says four-wheel vehicles required...they are not kidding. We did the slot canyon and dinosaur track trip. Slot canyon awesome as usual for photos. Dinosaur tracks were fascinating. Appreciated the stories and info surrounding f the areas that Ian shared. Can't think of anything more they could have done to make our trip better...perfect. Ian left us with a really cool Nalgene souvenir. Thanks so much guys!

Yelp
Our party of 3 booked two days of guided tours with Dreamland. We were picked up at our hotel. Jaron was our guide for the first day and Orion for the second day. Both proved to be top notch guides. They were quite personable, friendly and you could tell just genuinely loved experiencing and sharing the amazing geological sites in the Kanab area. They immediately made us glad of our decision to hire guides for the day especially considering the rough off road terrain and deep sand driving that was required to visit many of the areas. We explored Buckskin Gulch and unbelievable "magical" Hoodoos off the beaten path with Jaron and White Pockets and South Coyote Buttes with Orion with an unexpected beautiful end of day stop at Paria Townsite. Both guides were knowledgable about geological formations we were hiking amongst and in explaining the Grand Staircase Monument area. We would definitely book Dreamland Safari if in the area again.

Yelp
I made a reservation just few days before my trip. I was looking for everywhere to getting to the wave ( coyote buttes north) and find this company. They have best deal for single traveler! ( most of place they charge for 2). If you are single traveler and looking for the Wave or other, you should call them. They will find best tour for you. My plan was The Wave tour, yes it's hard to get in, and they had conditional tour. I couldn't win the lottery for The wave, but I got permit for South coyote butte! Actually, they went to office to get permit for me. That was so great ! They are professional and knowledgeable guides, Robert and Mr.K ( sorry can't remember his name), because of them I feel safe, comfortable and just enjoyed be in the nature. Thank you so much. I was very happy. I joined South coyote buttes tour ( Cottonwood Cove ). They provide Lunch, snacks, I didn't have to carry! It was my first time to join the Dreamland Safari Tours, I had great experience with them( from phone call to tour), I highly recommend. I'm already thinking about next trip/ next tour with them. Definitely I'll join their tour again !

Yelp
My dad and I went on two tours with Dreamland, and they were both truly phenomenal. The staff here are amazing and all so interesting (my dad and I had the pleasure of getting Natalie on the South Coyote Buttes tour and Mike for the White Pocket Tour). Any questions you have are happily answered by the staff, and they really do a lot for you to try to give you the best experience possible. They also give great photo recommendations and good tips for angling your camera for pictures to make your friends jealous! We actually wanted to go to the Wave, and the staff were kind enough to attempt the lottery for us both times we tried. They do this on the condition that if we don't win a lottery ticket, we will book a different tour with Dreamland. Unfortunately, my dad and I are losers and did not win the Wave lottery either day, but we won the South Coyote Buttes lottery the first day (Dreamland also stood in for us for this lottery), and also did a White Pocket tour with them the next day. Either of these tours alone would have been incredible, but getting to do both were the highlight of my trip. I just wish I didn't go here on the first two days of the trip because everything after this was hard to measure up! Also...there were approximate FOUR other people each of these destinations. There is hardly anyone else out there to be ruining your photos! Each day started with the tour guide picking us up from our hotel (very convenient). We picked up the rest of our group (each day there were 4 people total and our one tour guide). We drove about 2-3 hours to get to the destination, but there's a great break spot to use the restroom and, funny enough, buy some cookies on the way to South Coyote Buttes and White Pocket. I highly recommend you get some! Both South Coyote Buttes and White Pocket are very remote, and it takes a skilled and confident driver and navigator to traverse the deep sand, rocky roads, and unlabeled roads to get to these natural wonders. The lunch they provide was somehow probably the best turkey sandwich I had ever eaten, and the guides brought plenty of water (still bring plenty of your own water), salty snacks, and electrolyte powder for us because we were going during a heat wave. There is truly no way for me to describe how amazing the experience was, and I do not think I would've gotten the same experience with another tour company. They are amazing people doing amazing things.

Yelp
We did the dinosaur track and peekaboo slot canyon trip with my family. Maddi Nelson picked our party of 5 in the suburban. We went out to see the dinosaur tracks first and the kids loved it. Maddi was a wealth of information about the area and what we saw. As an extra bonus we also stopped for a quick look at the pink sand dunes. Kids did some dune diving. It got pretty hot even early. So was nice to be in an air conditioned SUV. Then off to the slot canyon, the sand road was pretty bumpy both ways, the suburban didn't have any problems. The canyon was beautiful and the hike was easy, took a lot of pictures. Would recommend Maddi and dreamland in the future!

Yelp
We had an amazing time at White Pocket. This area is incredibly remote and hard to get to unless you have the right vehicle to get through deep sand and big rocks. We wouldn't have been able to go without this company!! Ian was our guide and he was incredibly skilled at the tough terrain driving and showing us all of White Pocket. If you are staying somewhere other than Kanab, they will figure out a hood meeting spot so you don't have to drive out of your way to meet up with your guide. The details of where to meet was impeccable. They even supplied maps to help you find your way as cell service can be spotty. They also provide lunch, waters and snacks. We have two kids and we were able to take breaks when we needed it. We all loved this tour so much and I can't say enough great things about Ian!!!

Yelp
We had a wonderful time on our 2-hour, private slot canyon tour of Peekaboo Slot Canyon. Our guide was also the owner (Sunny) and she had a great personal story and knew a TON about the area. We talked about history, geology, and lots of other things. Our children (12, 10, and 7) loved climbing and learning. At the end, we even had some extra time and she showed a couple of other things in the area. NOTE: Do NOT hike back on your own. Also, do NOT NOT NOT drive back in on your own. Both are incredibly difficult and it's worth paying to have someone drive you back.

Yelp
My husband and I spent a night in Kanab just to experience a slot canyon. We quickly realized that our RAV4 rental was not going to be able to handle the terrain. Thankfully, Dreamland Safari Tours was able to make it happen and get us on a tour! The driver even picked us up at our hotel. Insert Brent, the best guide ever! Seriously, he was very knowledgeable about the area and explained the history of the land and what we were seeing along the way. Of course, the Peek-a-Boo canyons are picturesque but Brent helped us create the perfect IG worthy pics by helping us frame the lighting. His immense knowledge didn't end there - he continued to point out artifacts and explain the canyons. While some may be thinking - that's cool and all but I don't want some Progressive Commercial "know it all" dude talking my ear off, it was actually the complete opposite. Brent gave off a cool vibe and took the experience to the next level. I've been on a lot of tours and Brent was by far the best guide I've ever had! Thank you Dreamland for getting us in at the last minute. Huge kudos to Brent for an amazing tour!!

Yelp
Had some relatives come over from California and decided to take a quick day trip to see some Slot Canyons. Out of the several companies that offered a tour for Peekaboo Slot Canyon I chose Dreamland Safari Tour. All the information that you would need or ask is readily available on their website. Called them towards the end of the day but still accommodated us (for a future tour). Very nice customer service and explained to us everything. The actual tour was great. We had Robert as our tour guide. He was a really great guide. He gave us a quick rundown or a brief history of the area. Pointed out great points of interest and kept our tour very interesting and entertaining. Will be looking forward to a different tour with them in the near future!

Yelp
I just spent five days with Dreamland's owner, Sunny, backpacking the Paria River. It's February...conditions were amazing considering the time of year, but still daunting and it was not an easy hike (frozen boots every morning!)! This is not a "normal" Dreamland offering; it was a small, all women's hardcore adventure coordinated with AWE. What an incredible, EPIC experience! Sunny is so experienced, and such a fun, intriguing, wonderful person. I had a heavy pack, and when I thought my shoulders were going to die, that was right when she'd say "ten minutes to packs off break!" Her intuition was spot on, and another guest (who became a friend of mine) agrees fully. Her sense of adventure is possibly unmatched. She is genuine, kind, professional. I greatly enjoyed spending those days in her company, and exploring every inch of that "trail." I have recommended Dreamland to many friends and family members throughout the years, and all have been satisfied. I'm not a typical tour type of person, but when this Paria opportunity popped up...it was right up my alley, and I hope I can participate in similar adventures in the future. Also, two of Dreamland's other guides, Maddi and Andrea, were along for the hike. They weren't guiding, Sunny was, but it was obvious that both women are well versed in the outdoors and are probably amazing guides also. Nicholas picked us up, and he too is an asset to their company (I think that was his name? Hope so!). You are missing out if you don't book with Dreamland, for sure. :) I cannot recommend this company, these people, highly enough.

Yelp
This was our favorite part of our hiking trip which we spent 8 days visiting Utah. Our guide for the day was Brent who we really enjoyed! He shared insight into the hikes, knowledge of the area and the history of the land. Our hikes were not far in distance but some parts we to "scramble" a little. It involved careful footing to get to another level or landing. Nothing as very difficult but involved some patience. Our group actually enjoyed the extra challenge to get to some very unique areas! I'm certain we saw things on our hike that most don't get to see. Brent never pushed us too hard and gave everyone a chance to skip parts of the hike. Everyone made it with no problem. Our ages were 62,62,62,63,70 and 80!! If we can do it you can take! Sign up for a tour! We did the Ultimate but they offer nearly 25 experiences!!

Yelp
If you have a family this is the way to go. I was worried about an all day tour with our son but he loved the sand, the slot canyons, dinosaur tracks. and the hiking. Great job and if you love backpacking ask about their new backpacking tours and ask for tour guide Brent who has hiked both the PCT & the Appalachian trails.

Yelp
I won the lottery to obtain a permit to hike The Wave in July 2021. I drove from CA to UT, went to the orientation the morning before, and in the orientation, was told that my small sedan wouldn't make it down the long, muddy, and bumpy road just to get to the parking lot. They also mentioned the current drizzly weather, flash floods, heat stroke, and every other thing that could go wrong. When I left there, I started looking into renting a Jeep, there were none available. That is when I started calling around to hire a guide. I figured, this is a once in a lifetime thing, I've got to do it right. Through Google, I found Dreamland Safari Tours. I called, they were super helpful over the phone, and the next morning, Mike showed up at my hotel for the early morning pick-up! It was just the two of us for the day. The drive there was long, but we had great conversation. He taught me a ton about the history of the area, stopped on our way to see the Grand Staircase, we finally made it out to the parking area for The Wave, and away we went. The hike was long, it was a super hot day, but he was patient when I needed a break, he showed me dino tracks, he brought snacks and a ton of extra water. We made it out to The Wave seamlessly, he knew the best spots for the most amazing photos, we hung out for a while and ate the lunch he brought for us, and we made it out of there safely. I don't write many reviews, but I had to for this one - hiring Mike to be my guide for the day was the best decision I could have made. He was knowledgeable, patient, super helpful, and great company. I'd absolutely recommend Dreamland and more specifically Mike, for a hike to The Wave. It couldn't have been a better day!

Yelp
Took a tour of South Coyote Buttes after winning a permit with Orion. We knew if we won a permit, we'd go with Dreamland. Orion was a fabulous guide. He doesn't just point things out on the drive to/from and on the tour, he explains why things are. He taught us how to search for pottery and arrowheads - which are all around down there. And, he gave great guidance for photos (in fact, someone from another guide service came over once she heard the photo guidance he provided and asked for a little help). I'd highly recommend Dreamland and Orion. We'll be back and try for The Wave again. Any tour we take in the future will be with them.

Yelp
Nicklaus was an EXCELLENT tour guide. He's also a world class freelance fluvial geomorphologist! He was a wealth of information - plants, geology, Native American culture, etc. We had a wonderful time at the Moccasin Mountain Dinosaur Tracksite and Peekaboo canyon. We highly recommend this business.

Yelp
Dreamland provided an unforgettable adventure for us while on our vacation to Southern Utah. We did the full-day Escalante Staircase Photo Safari. Our guides for the day were Maddi and Shawn. They were both extremely knowledgeable about the history and geology of the area, and took us to the best spots to capture some amazing pictures. These are two people who love what they do, and it shows. Their care about providing us with the best experience was much appreciated. Dreamland packed sandwiches (generously made, not skimpy at all) and tasty snacks to get us through the day. The vehicle they used was a very comfortable Chevy Suburban. All in all, a most excellent time.

Yelp
We've been on many tours with many guides in many places, and Andrea with Dreamland truly made our once-in-lifetime-experience of The Wave an unforgettable time! I cannot thank her enough! Off the top of my head: *Andrea was prepared with small details to make our trek comfortable- from headlamps to extra waters, electrolytes, cooling cloths, an umbrella, sacks and sandwiches, bandaids and moleskin *Our permit was for an extremely hot day, and Andrea was more than willing to leave as early as we were willing. *3 in our party are gluten-free and everyone knows how small our portions are. Dreamland packed us TWO GF sandwiches per person. Anyone who is GF knows how huge this is! Thank you, Dreamland! *Andrea knew all the best spots, angles and time of day for pictures. Our favorite pictures she took, like the one shared here. *Andrea's personality and pace seemed personally fashioned for us, and I expect it's her professional nature. *Andrea gave us helpful ideas for future trips. I cannot imagine having even remotely as wonderful an experience on our own. Hiring a guide through Dreamland, was worth every penny. THANK YOU DREAMLAND AND ANDREA SO VERY MUCH!!

Yelp
We were recently in Page, AZ and looking for good alternatives to the highly overdeveloped and commercialized Analope (slot) Canyon tour. We came across Peekaboo Canyon in Kanab, UT. Kanab is about one hour from Page. Peekaboo Canyon when researched offers far less visitation, and actually appears to be longer than its more famous cousins. We found Dreamland Safaris via internet search and started looking at their Peekaboo trips. We ended up deciding to go with an all day trip which went to several locations besides Peekaboo. We were not disappointed when we arrived at Dreamland Safaris headquarters in Kanab. We were greeted in a warm manner quickly did some paperwork and met our guide Jaron. What a perfect trip. We toured White Wave, Peekaboo Canyon, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Dinosaur Tracks, Petrographs, 360 Overlook. Jaron was fantastic, intelligent on all the locations geography, flora, fauna and history. He was very friendly and made us feel right at home and very much at ease in the remote areas we visited. Our vehicle for the trip was a 4Wheel Drive Suburban, expertly driven by our guide. The locations visited were unimaginably beautiful and we were the only group visiting 5/6 sites. I've traveled the world and seen so much. I can honestly say that this particular trip was in my top 3, and Jaron by far the best guide we have ever had the privilege of touring with.

Yelp
I would go with Dreamland tours again and specifically request Natalie as my guide. I was in a group of two to Toroweap. Toroweap is a top one percent destination. Throughout the tour we each felt we made a great decision to go with *Dreamland Tours and were very lucky to have Natalie as our guide. I was impressed with her driving skills over challenging, bumpy roads, knowledge of the area, safety conscientiousness, and focus on FUN (stopped to take pictures of 3'+ gopher snake, accommodated our request to move the lunch location, adjusted on site scheduling to spend more time here/there, stopped to chat with the guest ranger,...). Noteworthy: Natalie expressed sincere praise for management/owners (Paul and Sunny's emphasis on training and support for Dreamland's guides) = employees who feel valued make happy customers. Also of note: After checking with us, Natalie provided help to a solo motorist with a broken axle on the return from Toroweap = made a huge positive difference in his otherwise rotten day. *I found Dreamland tours through this site (well written, helpful,... did additional research and decided on Dreamland): https://www.foxintheforest.net/toroweap-overlook-tuweep-campground/

Yelp
When I saw amazing pictures of the Waves, we just had to go. But we didn't know what to do, so we decided to request a professional tour guide and that is the BEST thing we did. We had so much fun and our guide was very informative!!! Through the whole day, everything was just fantastic. It really couldn't be any better. If we do ever have a chance to visit the Waves or White Pocket (definitely a to-do list!! Don't miss this!!!), we know where we need to come to. Tip! Call them and set up a professionally well guided tour. Without proper equipped vehicle, you won't be going anywhere. Hence, they are professional tour guide for a reason Amazing!!!!!!

Yelp
Me, my husband, and 14 year old son booked the Peekaboo slot canyon and White Wave tour. Our friends came along after they cancelled their antelope canyon kayaking trip on Lake Powell. This was our only tour that was not cancelled during our trip due to weather and we were so excited. It was March, spring break, and we were not expecting the snow and cold weather. I guess that is what I get for being a born and raised Floridian. We stayed in Page, Arizona, and MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THE TIME ZONE CHANGE, if coming from there! We had to leave a full hour earlier due to the hour travel time + time change (so 2 hours before our tour!). Loved the drive there and when we got there everyone was so nice and welcoming. Our friends were able to make last minute reservations to come with us so that made things even better. Our guide, Baylie, was so very nice and made our entire experience amazing. She was an excellent driver and took us up to white wave first. The weather made the trail there a bit tricky, but she was a champ! We met some other trail explorers up on the mountain in Jeep's and ATVs and they all knew each other and helped each other- which was so nice to see. Even with other people up there, we basically had the place to ourselves. The snow made the rocks slick but fun! It is not a difficult hike but I did scoot down some rocks on my butt to avoid slipping and falling! We then rode down to the slot canyon and there was one other vehicle down there. We saw one group coming in while we were leaving! The slot canyon was beautiful and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Baylie took photos of us and also showed us some fossils and took us to the end of the slot canyon. It was a flat and easy walk. We were not in any shape to be doing long hikes due to recently having Covid, so I booked this tour knowing it would not be too strenuous. We did well and had no issues so if anyone in your party has difficulty hiking, then Peekaboo Slot Canyon is perfect. White Wave requires some uphill walking, but it is a short distance and can be done slowly. The walk up to the Wave rock portion was a bit scary for me due to the snow/slippery surface, but I did it. Know that if you book that part too, get up there, and don't want to walk up the rocks, it's okay! It is still beautiful! Baylie supplied water and some snacks for us too. We saw some deer while driving to/from our destination too! Baylie is a rockstar guide and if you get her, you are lucky! Thank you so much to Dreamland for making our trip to Kanab, Utah, a memorable one!

Yelp
We toured Peek a Boo Canyon and White Pocket with Dreamland. We had a lot of fun and so happy we decided on a tour because the terrain to get to both of these places required vehicles that we did not have. Plus you have to know how to drive in sand, which we do not know how to do. Our guides were friendly and informative and showed us things we would not have discovered on our own. Our guide even showed us good places to take photos and offered to take photos for us, which was really nice. I also loved that I could bring my dog on the tours for an extra fee. Wiley had an amazing time! Would love to visit Kanab again and take another tour.

Yelp
My friend and I had the privilege of being led by Robert through Coyote Buttes North and the Wave last weekend. Robert is a Geologist from Texas and outdoor adventure enthusiast who truly has a passion for sharing his knowledge of the area with others. The communications by Dreamland from pre-booking through the tour date were top notch. Robert was very patient and supportive of all in the group, but in particular one individual in our group who was having challenges with the hike due to its physical demands and even carried some of this persons gear back on the return leg of the trip. We were very fortunate to have had very favorable temps that day or this individual May have had a serious medical event. It was nice to see that their guides carry a means for satellite emergency communications should it ever be needed. I am so glad that I was able to do this with Dreamland and Robert, as it just would not have been the same experience had we gone alone. I'll be back to Utah again one day and even though I largely like to plan and execute my outings, I will try to work Dreamland in to my itinerary for a day or two.

Yelp
Amazing Tour company! I booked two tours, the sunset hike and white pocket. Both tours were amazing. Our guide was accommodating to everyone and very knowledgeable. Would book with dreamland again.

Yelp
We did the all day white pockets tour and it was awesome! Bret was our guide and he was fantastic. Really glad we took a tour because the drive out there is VERY sandy and I wouldn't want to get stuck or have to try and get help in an area with no cell service. Their Suburban handled really well and you definitely want an experienced driver with the sand. Bret showed us a few stops along the way plus around White Pockets itself. He knew all the history and geology and was very chill yet professional. They provide you with water but pack like you're going on a six mile with with your own snacks and at least 3 liters of water. The full day tour does provides a sandwich. I would highly recommend going with these guys!

Yelp
Mike from Dreamland Safari Tours was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Couldn't have asked for a better guide for our adventure to The Wave. He made us feel comfortable and safe the whole way. Definitely made the trip more enjoyable having him along the way.

Yelp
Where to begin. Such a positive and wonderful experience with Dreamland. We won access to The Wave, and based on research, figured we should probably be safe and hire a guide. We were given a list and I called every number until I got the first who answered. How fortunate for us. The person I got in contact with (can't remember his name) was extremely helpful. Obviously access to The Wave is limited, and we had 6 people in our party. Usually the permits must include your guide and we did not obtain enough permits to allow us to have a guide. Crap...The man I spoke to went himself to the BLM office and was able to get an exemption to allow us to be led by a guide. THANK YOU!!! Next day we are picked up by the most amazing guide, Shawn Turner. Literally a saint. This man held our 3 year olds hand pretty much the entire hike. He showed him things, taught him things, and even corrected him in the most positive way, it taught my husband and I a few parenting tips! He took into consideration our groups' needs, he was accommodating to our requests (which were few, I hope, haha), and he was extremely knowledgeable. This trip was made epic by such a great experience with Dreamland, I would recommend any other tour service. TOP NOTCH!

Yelp
We did a Peak-a-boo slot canyon tour with Maddie. The colors in the canyon were amazing, it was out of this world, and Maddie was the best guide. Highly recommend !

Yelp
Outstanding experience with Maddi from Dreamland Safari Tours. Loved going to White Pocket. I stumbled across the Dreamland Safari Tours website and found it SO helpful, with candidly (and non-sales pitchy) written blog posts that provided the insight needed as we researched/ planned our trip to Arizona. The insight was exactly what was needed but can be tough to find. They were incredibly helpful on the phone, easy to book with, and communicative throughout. Without off-roading experience, even if we rented an appropriate vehicle, we would have been unable to access White Pocket. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. We loved exploring with our tour guide, Maddi. She gave us some time to explore/ scramble around on our own, as well. The whole day was enjoyable. We were a group of 3 and got along well with the other couple with us. Maddi balanced both groups and the 5 individuals smoothly and comfortably. Lunch provided- sandwiches as advertised. I had the turkey sandwich and appreciated that it was hefty. Maddi also brought sliced tomatoes and condiments to add, as desired. She had a large cooler with additional food- Kind bars, crackers, chips, and apples. We each received a to-keep Nalgene water bottle (pre-filled). So thankful we decided to do the tour. It was well worth the expense. It ended up being a highlight of an all around great outdoorsy trip to Arizona (Page, Sedona, Grand Canyon). I wouldn't hesitate to pick another destination and go again with Dreamland and/or with Maddi.

Yelp
We did a Peekaboo Canyon tour with Jason in mid-July. We were staying in Kanab and wanted to see a slot canyon, and Peekaboo was close and accessible. Jason knew all the trail roads, and local stories as we drove the 3.5 mile sand road from Rt. 89 to the entrance of the canyon (a bumpy road but so much fun!). The canyon itself is stunning. We got some spectacular photos, but photos really don't do it justice. As we reached the canyon end, thunder could be heard and it started raining, so we quickly walked back to the Chevy Suburban and headed back out to Rt. 89. What a great end to a great day in Kanab.

Yelp
We won the lottery to access BLM wilderness at South Coyote Buttes and the White Pocket, Utah. Getting there means 4x4 narrow, 1 lane rutted roads, knee-deep sand and occasional rocks over 30 miles bouncing through high dessert flora and fauna. We hired Dreamland. Shirley (our guide) showed us some most colorful sandstone rock formations. I knew it would be amazing. It was indeed a magical place with multicolored rocks looked like candy canes. No trails. Wander around wherever! We can never forget--because we took 500 pictures. It was an all day tour and we left the driving and guiding to Dreamland. Nice job. Wait til you see what we saw, now that's a tour! Lunch, water and snacks provided. As a Portland foodie, the food was very marginal but we Potlander's are used to farm fresh and organic and this is limited in Kanab! It's not about food, more about the sights!

Kathy B.

Yelp
I took the ultra Kanab trip since I didn't win the lottery for Bryce I thought a little bit of everything with out me driving would be terrific and it was our Guide ....Orion took us to a lot of places and showed us a lot of things I was wanting to see n history that went with it. They don't have the up-to-date jeeps, or dune buggies but I saw them other tours following him so I got my little bit of everything and History to go with

Yelp
I originally reached out to over 4 tour companies looking for a all day trip while my husband and I were visiting Big Water,UT from Texas. Out of all the companies, Dreamland was the only company to not only email me back with a non automated email but also gave me a call. Their office provided me tons of advice and helped us pick a tour that best fit our interests while in town. It was obvious why we chose this company for the get go! We had a wonderful time touring White Pocket in the all day tour with Andrea, our fantastic tour guide. The tour was fun, perfect in length and really customized to meet our interests and needs. My husband and I were in a group with one other couple; Andrea did a wonderful job of balancing their very different wants/needs for the tour with our own interests. Overall very happy with the trip! Andrea even gave us tips and ideas for our other free day as well. It felt like we got two days of tour for the price of one thanks to all the fanatic assistance from all the members of Dreamland Safari. When we come back we have no doubts we will be touring again with this awesome company! Photo Credit goes to Andrea for all our couple pics too!

Yelp
My best friend came to visit me from SF and she wanted to do a tour at White Pocket - i'm so glad we chose Dreamland Safari Tours. Our guide Nicholas is amazing - he shared so many of his knowledge towards the history and the natures around this area - we fully enjoyed the conversation. Funny to say this - the following week i actually started going meatless! Met amazing people on the same tour too! Great Experience - would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Dreamland Safari tours was fabulous! We decided to do a tour last minute and messaged on their website late at night. They responded immediately and were able to accommodate us the very next morning, We absolutely had the best time on our tour of Peek a boo slot canyon. Justin was a fabulous guide who made the day exciting, fun, and had lots of interesting facts along the way. We also love that they are a dog friendly tour company with dog water bowls in the office (a hard thing to find). Our dog loved the tour as well! Highly recommend Dreamland Safari Tours! We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Our tour guide Nathalie was amazing. Not only was lovely to be around, but she was full of wisdom of the area. My husband and I won the lottery for The Wave and I am so glad we decided to get a guide. There was no stress or anxiety of "will our car make it or will we?!" Nathalie led the way with confidence so we never had a worry. She also knew the spots for the best pictures! Thank you Dreamland Safari and Nathalie for a never to be forgotten time!

Yelp
Just returned from a three day backpacking trip through the Buckskin Gulch. This was a once in a lifetime extraordinary experience and it was made even better with the support and guidance of Dreamland Safari! Robert and Andrea, our guides, were helpful and responsible for our safety. They were warm, funny and informed experts of the region. They both made us feel safe and sprung into action when one person in our party was injured. They helped carry extra supplies for our comfort and well-being. As a middle-aged woman with high risk health issues, they were patient with my slow pace and went above and beyond in making sure that I was safe with the pandemic hygiene. Andrea especially made sure she stayed back with me and pointed out petroglyphs on the walls and other interesting sites. Robert worked hard to shine his light our way at night when we were still in the canyons and it was hard to see. Sonny and Paul were extraordinarily helpful as well. This is a family owned business and we were given the personal touch. Midway through our hike Sonny and Paul met us (by belaying down a canyon wall with supplies) and resupplied our water. They provided a simple but delicious lunch (only thing that would've made it better was whole wheat tortillas:)). We really felt like we were taken care of and also they genuinely shared in our excitement and passion for this adventure. Most of all, they monitored the safety of the rains and water levels and created an alternate, albeit long, day of hiking for us instead of cancelling the trip. This was the best decision for us to use Dreamland Safari for this trip!! It was SO worth the money and we didn't have to deal with permits, transportation and planning. My heart is filled with gratitude for this amazing company! I want to come back!! Oh and by the way we also did the Great Chamber 3-hour tour the day before with Robert and it was fantastic. Robert is a geology major and filled with knowledge and charm. He was patient and fun and a great storyteller. So grateful not to have to drive on those bumpy sandy and twisted roads!!! So worth the money again!!

Yelp
We did back-to-back 2 day tours in early June, which, as with all tours lately, have been during record heat! First tour was with Robert and Mel to the Vermillion Cliffs Monument in the South Coyote Buttes. We were the only people in the group so we had a highly personalized tour at our own pace. We help up better than we expected with the pure heat and minimal cover, the formations were stunning, we could have done longer on a nicer day but we started slowing down and it was time to go. They provided enough water and food to supplement our needs. It was like a giant playground with endless toys to look at and take in! The next day was the Grand Staircase Escalante photo tour which posed more challenges: I thought it would be a little less walking/hiking but it was just as much and it seemed a little hotter. One of us got a little heat exhaustion (didn't realize until retrospect) but we made it through ok, I would rate the difficulty of the tour a little higher than expected. Robert was our guide again with Brett who was experienced on this tour. We saw some great hoodoos and painted mountains, and a fascinating valley, being the only people around was pretty amazing. The last part of the tour fell victim to (probably) the heat: we drove quite some distance in the dirt roads and were almost to a reportedly cool arch when the tour vehicle failed; after some tries we learned that disconnecting the battery made it work in short bursts but not enough to get out, and the company owner had to come bring another vehicle to get us out. It was all part of the adventure and we understood, this is difficult territory and I'm glad they had all the safety precautions in place. A great company with a lot of experience that we would highly recommend

Yelp
Peekaboo Canyon. This is a short drive with beautiful views. Our guide Robert made this trip very educational and made this a wonderful experience. Don't try this canyon in your rental car.

Yelp
We decided that it would be best to hire a tour guide to get us to Peek-a-boo Canyon & we were right! The hike itself is easy, but getting there is a little tricky. Brent was the guide for our small group & we had a fabulous time as he explained all of the little details we would have missed had we tried to go alone. Every person with this company that we spoke to was knowledgeable & extremely helpful. We highly recommend Dreamland Safari Tours & we will tour with them again!
